If you can't get enough of World of Warcraft, you'll be excited to know that Blizzard is now accepting pre-orders for the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King - A Pandemic System Board Game! It's a collaborative effort between Blizzard and Z-man games to bring the fun of one of the most famous MMORPGs of all time to a table near you.To get more news about Buy WoW WLK Gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.
The name of the game is quite a mouthful; to be fair, though, players are getting a lot in return. Z-man has taken their popular Pandemic series of games and tweaked the rules/settings to apply them to the World of Warcraft universe. One of those tweaks is an added "quests" game mechanic which doesn't exist in the vanilla Pandemic ruleset. The quests are little missions your hero can go on to battle monsters, destroy relics of evil, and generally move the game action along. The extra-large game board itself is littered with iconic locations from the world of Azeroth which players who are familiar with the game will know and love. And if you're into figs, you will like this game. Carefully crafted and painted figurines of characters like Thrall, Varian Wrynn, and Sylvanas Windrunner are part and parcel with the rest of the game.
You can pre-order the game right now on either the Z-man games website or the official Blizzard store page. It's designed for 1 - 5 players age 14 years and up, with an estimated 45 - 60 minute run time per game. It retails for $59.99 USD and, according to the websites, will ship no later than November 30, 2021. Check out the trailer and images below to see if this board game is up your alley.
World of Warcraft is the first game most people think of when talking about MMO RPGs.
Adventuring through Azeroth, Outland, Panderia, Draenor, and all the other worlds that Blizzard has created over the past 15-plus years is something that many games have at least dabbled in. Since being released in 2004, there have been eight expansions to World of Warcraft, each introducing a variety of new features like classes, races, zones, and gameplay options.
In 2019, Blizzard tested the idea of what an expansion could be by introducing legacy servers in the form of World of Warcraft Classic, a completely fresh start to the game where players could level the same way they did when WoW originally came out. With so many expansions, it’s sometimes difficult to keep track of when each was released and in what order. Here’s a quick refresher on when each expansion was launched in chronological order.
Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick issued a public statement regarding the allegations approximately an hour and 20 minutes before this article was posted. The article has been updated to reflect Kotick's statement. To get more news about buy gold wow classic, you can visit lootwowgold official website.
The official World of Warcraft Twitter account posted a statement today detailing its team's new commitment to removing inappropriate content from WoW Classic and Shadowlands. This follows player protests both within World of Warcraft and on social media regarding allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination at publisher Activision Blizzard.
A recent lawsuit by a California state agency detailed the findings of a multi-year investigation into Activision Blizzard workplaces. It alleged a culture of widespread discrimination against women and marginalized groups at the company, including wage disparity, inappropriate behavior, and flagrant abuse. After the lawsuit's filing, Twitter accounts for Activision Blizzard games went silent, and both official statements and leaked executive responses have drawn more criticism from many fans. Many found an internal email from executive Fran Townsend to be dismissive and insincere, and it was mentioned directly in an open letter signed by Activision Blizzard employees in support of the lawsuit.
The World of Warcraft Twitter account is the first of Activision Blizzard's to post since the lawsuit. The tweet posted today states the development team will be removing "references that are not appropriate for our world" from both WoW: Shadowlands and WoW Classic "in the coming days." Along with the allegations, fans have criticized World of Warcraft's references to Alex Afrasiabi, the game's former creative director alleged to have engaged "in blatant sexual harassment with little to no repercussions" by the lawsuit. It's unknown whether the WoW team's actions will involve the removal of this specific reference.
After the lawsuit was announced, Activision Blizzard released a statement, saying the lawsuit included, "distorted, and in many cases false, descriptions of Blizzard’s past," and that the company has, "made significant changes to address company culture and reflect more diversity within our leadership teams." The statement did not affirm any of the allegations in the lawsuit as truth, only saying that, "In cases related to misconduct, action was taken to address the issue." Then, following the World of Warcraft team's statement, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick sent an open letter to employees, saying, "Our initial responses to the issues we face together, and to your concerns, were, quite frankly, tone deaf," and laying out a list of five action items related to change within the company and its games.
If restoration of trust with the World of Warcraft community is its team's goal, it may need to be more direct and transparent with its actions. Neither the WoW team's statement nor Kotick's confirmed any specific items being removed from World of Warcraft, though it's likely safe to assume the references to Afrasiabi are among them.
The sixty-four photographic works in “CHINA: Then & Now – Jan Serr” focus on Asia’s ancient Middle Kingdom. They depict the “Old Town” Hutong neighborhood streets, the restful Scholar’s Garden, and the ultra-contemporary world of Maglev bullet trains traveling 375 miles per hour. The exhibition is a visual presentation of the passing of time in China. To get more art in the news 2021, you can visit shine news official website.
Mirroring these efforts represented in Serr’s subject matter, the collection employs large-scale installations to transport visitors from the modern streets of China to its quaint historic neighborhoods.
Arranging prints of her meticulously curated compositions within the immersive exhibition, Serr’s work asks what is remembered and what is forgotten. Co-curated by Kate Hawley and Jan Serr, the time-travel journey of sorts beckons visitors to experience China through her eyes.
“What I saw in China, and how I saw it, is what you see here now. You are standing with me, looking though my camera, looking through my eyes,” said Serr.
As visitors walk through a full-sized Moon Gate, they enter a “Humble Administrator’s Garden” adorned with meditative scholar’s stones and an ever-soothing water feature, designating a space for personal contemplation.
Other works include two large figurative ceramics by Pamela Leung, never before exhibited in the United States, hand-colored brass rubbings, and other Chinese objects. All exhibitions at The Warehouse and their related programing are free and open to the public.
While Serr has worked with many types of image-capturing systems, in China she chose to be a street photographer. Her tool was a digital Nikon camera, and her operating principle was “See it, Shoot it, Be safe, Be gone.”
“I compose looking through the camera’s viewfinder,” added Serr. “I do not crop images. I sometimes wait a long time for a composition to develop, for traffic to move in a certain way, or for someone to look into or away from the camera. I shoot thousands of images, I select just a few.”
In addition to Serr’s photographs, the exhibition includes a never before displayed painting of the Tiananmen Square massacre, created in 1989. The events in China’s capital also coincided with the Berlin Wall coming down in Germany.
“Seeing these images, seeing these events happen, Jan did what she does as a visual artist. She stretched canvases and started painting images of the Berlin Wall and the Chinese students. They were just her private visual diary of the events,” said John Shannon, managing director of The Warehouse. “They were taking the wall down and celebrating, and in Tiananmen Square there were demonstrators. Jan wasn’t there, she saw the images on TV, but she was very moved.”
Shannon said that showing the painting was important, because he did not want the public to think the collection celebrated an “autocratic, corrupt, and merciless political system.” It served as a touchstone of civility and protest.
“Right now, China, in Hong Kong, are jailing artists and journalists. Right now, Chinese fighter planes are flying very near Taiwan. This is Chinese expansionism,” added Shannon. “And that’s the reason why the painting is here early in the show. We’ve noted as to why it’s here and what it means to us. It really pivots everything else that we’re doing.”
Shanghai, though the biggest city in China and the nation's financial heart, never appeared as a royal city back in Chinese history (weird more or less). So no palace, no imperial mausoleum here, probably not that bad if you happen fly from historical Beijing or Xi'an. So what we get here? A living 'Museum of International Architecture' in the Bund; breathtaking panoramic city view at 468 m high, on top of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and maybe a fancy meal its revolving restaurant; indigenous Shikumen architecture with poles and clothes seemly everywhere; older generations playing Mahjong from day to night in small alley; elegant and quiet Yu Garden as an arcadia in the modernity…To get more news about Shanghai travel tips, you can visit shine news official website.
Don’t forget Shanghai is also a city of food lover, nothing feels better to eat a way through the Yunyuan Market; by the way, be prepared to give your first shot to eat a bun by a tube (yes! tube) in your life, when you get Sugar Spice Cafe in the market.
For a classic Shanghai tour, there is no way to miss Jinmao Tower, check out the metropolitan by a birds-eye view at China’s tallest building (and 3rd tallest in the world), really not bad. The Bund also tops many travelers’ lists of what to see in Shanghai, those 100+ years old buildings are all living evidence for the city’s old glamour and prosperity. If you are a fan of shopping or good food, head over to Yuyuan Market, Tianzifang and Xintiandi, stroll around, discover gadget, bargain and eat, be sure you set aside an afternoon.
Want to have something different? A short tour to water towns near Shanghai brings you that different experience. Like other super cities, Shanghai never lacks skyscrapers and shopping malls. But there are attracting water towns make Shanghai like no others, Zhujiajiao, Xitang for instance. What? Xitang belongs to Zhejiang Province, not to Shanghai, no big deal, 1 day is quite enough for a round trip!
If schedule allows and you need more interaction with Shanghai, why not being a Shanghai people for 1 day. Start with a trip to local vegetable market with a housewife, pick materials while taking a crash course on how to bargain and win, cook and enjoy your own Shanghai lunch. Afternoon is left for Mahjong, a 'sport' with the largest playing population in China!
Apart from the classic attractions, Shanghai has many other places to go and things to do, such as taking a stroll along then French Concession, doing shopping on the bustling Huaihai Road, etc. If you have a loose schedule, try these optional tours of Shanghai.
A team of researchers studying the effectiveness of different types of face masks has found that in order to provide the best protection against COVID-19, the fit of a mask is as important, or more important, than the material it is made of.To get more news about famous mask wholesale, you can visit tnkme.com official website.
The researchers, from the University of Cambridge, carried out a series of different fit tests, and found that when a high-performance mask — such as an N95, KN95 or FFP2 mask — is not properly fitted, it performs no better than a cloth mask. Minor differences in facial features, such as the amount of fat under the skin, make significant differences in how well a mask fits.
The results, published in the journal PLoS ONE, also suggest that the fit-check routine used in many healthcare settings has high failure rates, as minor leaks may be difficult or impossible to detect by the wearer. While the sample size was small, the researchers hope their findings will help develop new fit tests that are quick and reliable, in the case of future public health emergencies. The current study only evaluated the impact of fit on the wearer of the mask — the team will evaluate how fit impacts the protection of others in future research.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made well-fitting face masks a vital piece of protective equipment for healthcare workers and civilians. While the importance of wearing face masks in slowing the spread of the virus has been demonstrated, there remains a lack of understanding about the role that good fit plays in ensuring their effectiveness.
“We know that unless there is a good seal between the mask and the wearer’s face, many aerosols and droplets will leak through the top and sides of the mask, as many people who wear glasses will be well aware of,” said Eugenia O’Kelly from Cambridge’s Department of Engineering, the paper’s first author. “We wanted to quantitatively evaluate the level of fit offered by various types of masks, and most importantly, assess the accuracy of implementing fit checks by comparing fit check results to quantitative fit testing results.”
For the study, seven participants first evaluated N95 and KN95 masks by performing a fit check, according to NHS guidelines. Participants then underwent quantitative fit testing — which uses a particle counter to measure the concentration of particles inside and outside the mask — while wearing N95 and KN95 masks, surgical masks, and fabric masks. The results assessed the protection to the mask wearer, which is important in clinical settings.
N95 masks — which are a similar standard to the FFP3 masks available in the UK and the rest of Europe — offered higher degrees of protection than the other categories of masks tested; however, most N95 masks failed to fit the participants adequately.
In their study, the researchers found that when fitted properly, N95 masks filtered more than 95% of airborne particles, offering superior protection. However, in some cases, poorly-fitted N95 masks were only comparable with surgical or cloth masks.
“It’s not enough to assume that any single N95 model will fit the majority of a population,” said O’Kelly. “The most widely-fitting mask we looked at, the 8511 N95, fit only three out of the seven participants in our study.”
One observation the researchers made during their study was the width of the flange of the mask — the area of the material which comes in contact with the skin — may be a critical feature to fit. Masks that fit the greatest number of participants tended to have wider, more flexible flanges around the border.
In addition, small facial differences were observed to have a significant impact on quantitative fit. “Fitting the face perfectly is a difficult technical challenge and, as our research showed, small differences such as a centimeter wider nose or slightly fuller cheeks can make or break the fit of a mask,” said O’Kelly.
The German state of Bavaria will begin mandating FFP2 masks in shops and on all public transport from Monday. When the announcement was made last Tuesday, State Premiere Markus Söder said it was "to make everyday life safer."To get more news about famous type I mask price, you can visit tnkme.com official website.
Since the wearing of face-coverings was made mandatory across Bavaria last April, people were allowed to wear pretty much anything that covered their mouth and nose. Those "community masks", said Söder, were used to protect others, "FFP2 masks will also protect you."FFP2 or their equivalent N95 or KN95 in other parts of the world, filter up to 94 percent of the particles, droplets and aerosols from the air and have been used by many in professional fields such as construction and healthcare for some time now.
While other nations have resisted mandating them to avoid any supply issues for those working on the front line of COVID, Söder says "the availability in the trade is sufficiently guaranteed" while Bavaria's Health Minister, Klaus Holetschek, says "the market has developed incredibly."
Yet supply and price for the general public has been of some concern. Individually, a one-time use, disposable FFP2 mask costs between $2.40 and $6, while prices have been increasing amongst the many retailers selling them.State officials have promised two-and-a-half million free FFP2 masks to people in need, yet many pharmacies feel they have been left responsible for their own distribution without any state help.
Stefanie Salb, the owner of Lackner Pharmacy in Munich, said: "We didn't get any support. We only got the information that we had to hand over the masks. To get the masks, we had to contact dealers ourselves so that we could get them."
Salb says she believes in the new regulation and wants to help the people with supply, but it has been made difficult for her."We really try to help everyone and if it is not possible, it is definitely not possible," she attests. "Many decisions that are made by politics are made so ad hoc and we are the ones who then have to implement them."
Out on the streets of Munich, many residents say they agree with the new ordinance on the basis of public health and safety.
Munich Resident Benni Harvey, told CGTN Europe: "I think it's a great thing because they are proven to work well, better than the other masks, so I think there is no reason to not wear them. But if people are not able to buy them, I think the state should help out."
"Yeah I have no problem at all," said 79-year-old Karl Taxis. "They are affordable and I got 12 in one shop. The only thing that is disturbing is the ear (strap) so sometimes I put it a little bit down."Even opposition parties in the state are relatively supportive of the new measure and Germany's centre for disease control, The Robert Koch Institute, says FFP2 masks are effective if worn properly, tight and covering the mouth and nose.
Germany has reported more than two million COVID-19 infections since the pandemic began and daily numbers have not seen a substantial decrease despite a nationwide lockdown that began in November.
While Bavaria's implementing of FFP2 masks is only state-wide, Germany's parliament will now debate whether to make them mandatory across the country.
Individuals wanting to use off-post public transportation or retail stores in Bavaria will now be required to wear a medical-grade FFP2 mask, starting Jan. 18, 2021. Children under 15 years old are not required to wear this specific mask. However, children above the age of 6 are still required to wear a cloth face covering of some type.To get more news about famous nonmedical mask stock, you can visit tnkme.com official website.
FFP stands for “Filtering Facepieces,” and FFP2 masks can be purchased at local Apothecaries and other stores off-post. On-post retailers are working through the logistical chains to make FFP2 variants available, but it will take some time. Additionally, the use of FFP2 mask equivalents, like the N-95, is currently under discussion. The USAG Bavaria Public Affairs Office will release more information about the availability and use of similar masks once additional information is received.
While FFP2 masks can be more expensive, these masks can be reused with proper handling and storage. Here are some tips to extend the longevity of these medical-grade masks:
Never reuse an FFP2 mask that is soiled, damaged, or hard to breathe through; if this occurs, dispose of it in your regular household trash.
Only masks with elastic ear hooks should be reused (tie-on face masks are less suitable because they are more difficult to remove and may lead to self-contamination)
Additional FFP2 mask handling pointers:
Individuals should wash their hands before removing their masks.
Only touch the straps of the mask to remove.
Do not touch the front of the mask; this is the most contaminated part.
After removing the mask, it should be hung by the straps to allow it to dry. Do not store the mask in an airtight container.
Store the mask such that the inside of the mask does not get contaminated by other surfaces.
Store the mask in low-traffic areas of your home.
Hand washing should occur before and after removing the face mask.
FFP2 masks are NEVER to be cleaned or disinfected with disinfectant spray. The disinfectant spray could damage the filtering material.
Do not share masks among household members.
To ensure that masks are not shared, consider using a sharpie to put initials or names on the straps before first use.
Nigeria to Launch CBDC in Days
Emefiele‘s reassurances to Nigerians follow the CBN’s deferment of the e-naira launch to an unknown date.
Sources disclose Emefiele said on Thursday the e-naira CBDC will make Nigeria “one of the first countries in Africa to adopt the digitisation of its national currency.”
As previously reported by Bitcoin.com News, the central bank claimed it had postponed the e-naira‘s launch because this would have clashed with the country’s independence day celebrations.
However, some observers have speculated that the deferment may have been necessitated by a legal challenge that was brought against the central bank by a Nigerian firm.
A Nigerian court has since ruled in favor of the CBN thus paving the way for the launch of a digital currency that will be one of the first in Africa.
When finally launched, this digital currency is expected to accelerate financial inclusion and enable cheaper and faster remittance inflows, according to the CBN.
The launch of the CBDC will also ensure that the central bank will maintain control of the monetary system.
12 days ago on September 27, Nigerias official website for the e-naira which states: “Same Naira. More Possibilities” and that financial transactions will be “easier.”
The website also boasts an e-naira wallet, which can be downloaded via Google Play for Android and the Apple App Store for iOS devices.

According to Coindesk, a buyer or group of buyers purchased $1.6 billion worth of bitcoin in a matter of minutes on centralized exchanges, driving the price of the cryptocurrency up 5 percent.
According to Yahoo Finance, three exchanges with ties to China – BINANCE, Huobi, and ByBit – saw a spike in trade volume between 13:11 and 13:16 UTC on Wednesday.
Although the exchanges may have ties to China, pinpointing where the transaction occurred can be pretty tricky, especially for cryptocurrency.
According to a tweet on Thursday from Ki Young Ju, CEO of data provider CryptoQuant, “whales bought up $BTC in the perpetual futures markets yesterday mostly at @binance, @HuobiGlobal and @Bybit_Official. Basis ratio says it was futures-driven, and they punted long positions as open interest skyrocketed at that time. These guys know something.”
Ki went on to hypothesize that United States-based traders could be taking such extreme positions, based on the speculation of a possible crypto regulated market headed by the SEC, to “avoid blame” for insider trading.
“If this move was the ETF front-running from U.S. whales, they are likely to use non-US exchanges to avoid blame for insider trading IMO,” Ki tweeted.
However, as CoinDesk markets managing editor Lawrence Lewitinn alludes, the culprit of the big crypto buy seems likely to have come out of China after real estate developer Fantasia, based in China, missed a bond payment of $206 million.
“That led to the company getting downgraded by ratings agency Fitch. The situation isn't just limited to one company as Standard & Poor's downgraded fellow Chinese developer Sinic,” he wrote.
“This is a roundabout way of saying there's some serious contagion going on in the Chinese real estate market,” Lewitinn adds.
Roughly one-third of China's economic activity is related to the real estate sector, according to CoinDesk.
What's more indicative that purchase may have come out of China is that the transaction was conducted using a form of cryptocurrency known as stablecoin, more specifically USDT, a form of cryptocurrency backed by the U.S. dollar, and issued by Tether.
Last week Bloomberg issued a cover story titled, “Anyone Seen Tether's Billions?”
The story's author Zeke Faux said he had obtained a document showing a detailed account of Tether Holdings' reserves.
“It said they include billions of dollars of short-term loans to large Chinese companies – something money-market funds avoid. And that was before one of the country's largest property developers, China Evergrande Group, started to collapse.”
