First came Jimmy Buffett — and now, another famous name in entertainment is getting involved in the 55+ senior housing trend. To get more latest news on disney, you can visit shine news official website.
Last week, The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) announced plans for “Storyliving by Disney,” a master-planned community concept with a variety of neighborhoods, including some for residents age 55 or older.
Though Disney’s early concept also includes housing for a range of ages including older adults, it is no doubt looking to create something at least somewhat similar to Minto Communities’ Latitude Margaritaville brand, which has seen a surge of interest amid the pandemic.Disney is building its first Storyliving community — dubbed Cotino — in Rancho Mirage, California, where the company said its founder and namesake Walt Disney owned a home. The company also has plans to explore other markets for future development.
While the Cotino community’s development is still in its early stages, the final product will include condominiums, single-family homes and personal “estates,” with at least one section set aside for 55+ residents. Planned amenities include a roughly 24-acre “grand oasis” with lagoons and a waterfront clubhouse, private beach area and Disney programming, entertainment and activities.
Other onsite features include a mixed-use district with shopping, dining and entertainment along with a beachfront hotel and a park with recreational water activities. Disney employees will staff the community, and residents belonging to a voluntary private club will have access to curated experiences including wellness programming, classes and live entertainment and seminars.Disney is developing the site with DMB Development, “which is highly regarded for its development of large-scale planned communities in the U.S.,” according to the entertainment company.
“As we prepare to enter our second century, we are developing new and exciting ways to bring the magic of Disney to people wherever they are, expanding storytelling to storyliving,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks Experiences and Products. “We can’t wait to welcome residents to these beautiful and unique Disney communities where they can live their lives to the fullest.”
Like Disney, Minto has its eye on other markets for expanding the Latitude Margaritaville brand beyond its current sites in South Carolina and Florida. Those include Texas and other markets farther west.
Given its surge in demand amid the pandemic, leaders with Minto believe the Latitude Margaritaville brand is well-positioned to grow in the future as prospective residents seek out “food, fun, music and escapism” amid tough times. The same tailwinds would likely apply to a future Disney senior housing community.
Despite the pandemic, the furniture market in High Point, N.C., opened this week. Each year, it's one of the biggest showcase events for the industry and draws people from around the world. As Naomi Prioleau of member station WUNC reports, furniture manufacturers are experiencing a real boom.To get more news about wholesale furniture, you can visit beour.com official website.
NAOMI PRIOLEAU, BYLINE: Latin music blares from radios as dozens of workers assemble couches, chairs and other furniture on this factory floor. It's filled with fabric, foam and wood everywhere.
ANGIE MCWHERTER: This is the back wall in this department. So this is all the stuff that's sewed (ph) that we haven't gotten to yet or we don't have frames for yet.

PRIOLEAU: Piedmont is a wholesale manufacturer that sells to furniture chains, mom-and-pop stores and e-commerce. McWherter says that while she's grateful for all the extra business, these past few months have been hectic.
MCWHERTER: It is very stressful, but it's come to the point where we've just started telling customers we're doing the best we can. We're going to try to get this out in 12, 14, 16 weeks. It may happen; it may not.
PRIOLEAU: The pandemic has hammered some sectors of the industry, like commercial furniture. But home furnishing sales are booming. Customers wanting new couches, tables and chairs are having to wait six months or longer before they'll be ready. Here at Piedmont Furniture, McWherter says they shut the factory down mid-March, and when they reopened a month later, almost their entire staff returned. Then in May, the orders poured in.
MCWHERTER: It was like, what do you have in stock? We sold everything we had - everything. I mean, like, odds-and-end pieces that we'd had for a couple of years - people were fighting over them. There was nothing left in our warehouse at all.
PRIOLEAU: The High Point Furniture Market, which is underway now, is an extremely important hands-on event that brings buyers and sellers together. There's usually a spring market, too, but this year it was canceled due to the pandemic. The rise in demand can be attributed to a number of factors. Gerald Fox is an economics professor at High Point University. He says mortgage rates are low, and some people are upsizing, partly because they're staying home more.
GERALD FOX: They're thinking about their homes to a greater degree. They're working from home. They want to make their home a more pleasant place since they're spending more hours there. They might need office furniture at home.
PRIOLEAU: About 40 miles away, The Phillips Collection in High Point is also struggling to meet demand. This company makes high-end organic furnishings. Their inventory includes amethysts from Brazil and coffee tables carved from the remnants of a million-year-old tree in the jungles of Indonesia. Mark Phillips is CEO. He says business during the pandemic has been so good for his company that he's been able to give his employees bonuses.
MARK PHILLIPS: We are very fortunate right now. When we exceed last year's shipping, we have to give a bonus. And our goal is to be 8% up, and I've had to give bonuses in June and July and now again in September. So our business is super strong now.
PRIOLEAU: That growth comes despite traffic to Philipps' brick-and-mortar showrooms being down almost 70%. The boom has been driven by online sales. The showrooms for High Point Furniture Market are open for nine days, three times longer than normal, to help control the flow of up to 50,000 attendees per day.

Fruit and vegetable juice is a refreshing beverage that’s grown in popularity over the past two decades. Sipping a glass of Orange juice with your breakfast may once have been the norm, but now there’s a wide array of unusual but tasty concoctions on offer, both in juice bars and in the grocery store. To get more news about Industrial Juice Extractor, you can visit hl-juicer.com official website.
The best juicers make it easier to enjoy a tasty combination of fruit and vegetable extracts, at home. Whether you’re just looking to get your five-a-day in a more interesting and varied way, or you’re embarking on a juice cleanse in a bid to detox, juicers make it much more affordable and more convenient than buying ready-made juices from the grocery store. In fact, Statista estimates that 1.49 million juices were sold to consumers in 2019.

That isn't really surprising, when you consider the average American consumed six gallons of juice in 2018, while the juice and smoothie bar market was worth $2.62 billion in 2019, research by Statista has revealed. If you're considering joining the millions that already own a juice extractor, or you’re a juicing novice and want to create refreshing juice with as little effort as possible, you may be wondering just how these kitchen appliances work, what you can actually do with them and do you really need one?
Juicers work by chopping or grinding fruit and vegetables that have been pushed down a chute, to extract the liquid. The flesh, pith, and skin, which is collectively known as pulp, is considered a waste product and discarded by the juicer into a separate container, leaving a smooth, pulp-free drink.
Some juicers come with strainers that can divert some of the pulp into your drink, which considering it contains healthy fiber as well as other vitamins and minerals, is certainly beneficial.
If you’re trying to reduce food waste, there are plenty of ideas online for using up pulp discarded by a juicer, such as these six delicious recipes.
There are two different types of juicers; centrifugal juicers and cold press juicers, which are also known as slow juicers or masticating juicers, and they work in slightly different ways.Centrifugal juicers use spinning blades to chop up the fruit and vegetables, and as the name would suggest, the cut-up pieces are pushed against a fast-spinning strainer using centrifugal force, this separates the juice from the pulp.
Centrifugal juicers are the most affordable style of juicer on the market, which makes them a good choice if you’re new to juicing and don’t want to invest too much in an extractor. They have large feed chutes that can usually take whole fruits like apples without the need to chop them up first, and they’re very quick at extracting the juice.
However, the fast speeds can create a lot of froth on top of the juice and juice yields (the amount of juice extracted) can be lower than you get from a cold press juicer. They don’t usually manage to extract much juice from leafy greens like kale.Cold press or slow juicers work by slowly grinding up the fruit and vegetables and pushing the mixture through a filter to extract the juice.
A good cold press juicer will produce very dry pulp and high juice yields, so there’s much less waste than you get with a centrifugal juicer. They also make juice with very little, if any, froth on top and are much more effective when it comes to harder-to-juice foods like leafy greens.
They’re more expensive than centrifugal juicers, so they’re not ideal if you’re on a budget. That said if you do a lot of juicing, over time they make up for the higher price tag by producing more juice and less waste. They are slower and usually, there’s much more prep involved because they have smaller feed tubes so your juice ingredients need cutting up before juicing.

Beijing Winter Olympics 2022
When every Winter Olympics passes, the conversation quickly turns to how dangerous everything seems to be. Well, almost everything. To get more news about olympic winter games 2022 beijing, you can visit shine news official website.
The Winter Olympics is largely about speed at extreme temperatures, trying to tame conditions that maybe shouldn't always be tamed.
Four athletes have died during the Winter Olympics in the history of the games. Two deaths have come in luge, one in alpine skiing and one in the demonstration sport of speed skiing.
The alpine skier who died was Australian Ross Milne, a young speed specialist at his first Olympics in 1964. Milne's brother, Malcolm, would later be the Australian flag bearer and compete at two Olympics. Malcolm would also be the first non-European to win a World Cup downhill race, breaking ground for skiers internationally.
For experts, these are still likely the most dangerous disciplines on show, but what about for the beginners and intermediates.
These are how the sports rank in terms of danger from the perspective of those on the couch at home. This is a balanced rating – it's all pretty dangerous by this point. As a brake in the two or four-person bobsleigh, not much is required beyond the push. From there, it's all in the pilot's hands.
But what if you are a pilot, or in the monobob? It's extremely challenging. Would not try. This one could easily be higher, but they are all pretty dangerous from here.
The sled also protects the body to some degree, and keeps it from shooting off the track. The mitigating factor here is the safety measures in the range and how many people would quit before even getting to the range. If things go poorly, however, it's pretty dangerous.
Yes, there may be giant knives on the feet of these athletes. But long track sees plenty of space between opponents, and the knives are a fair way away from the body.
Most would crash within metres of the start line, but if you can get going, you should be safe from your opponent.
Maybe you will be bad enough in your first shift that it is your last. And you shouldn't be hit hard off the puck, which you surely will be considering a lack of any skill.
Anyone who has seen a beginner snowboarder knows how unpleasant an experience it is to watch.Thankfully, true beginners would be unlikely to gain enough speed to damage themselves on the jumps of the slopestyle, big air or halfpipe.
Intermediates have a fair chance of holding up enough to go over the edge, but most would figure it's a bad idea. And in the snowboard cross, Markus Schairer broke his neck after crashing at the 2018 Winter Olympics. So pretty dangerous all up.
Again, another sport where the potential for harm increases the better you are at the sport.True beginners would likely crash and eliminate themselves before they could get into real trouble.
Intermediates who try to compete might get themselves into real trouble, especially in the downhill and super-G. And this event has killed Olympians before.
Yes, this is the event that Steven Bradbury nearly died in. Yes, it has many people with super sharp blades going around the track, close to each other.
But for a beginner or intermediate, it'd be hard to be in that mix. Accidents are pretty common in the sport, but dangerous ones are less so and you have to be good enough to be put in that position.

Shipping freight under 100 kg from Singapore to the United States is cheaper– and faster– by express. Around the 100 kg mark, air freight becomes the cheaper option:
How long will it take to ship from Singapore to the United States? Your shipment’s transit time will be impacted by location, shipment size, and season. Use the following table for timing estimates for each shipping mode from Singapore to the United States.
When you’re shipping from Singapore to the United States, you can choose from one of four modes: FCL sea freight, LCL sea freight, air freight, or express. Here are key factors for each mode:
FCL Sea Freight from Singapore to the United States
FCL, or full container load, means your goods fill an entire container, either 20’ or 40’ long. If you are shipping at a high volume, you’ll save time and money by shipping FCL. Pricing for FCL is done as a flat rate, regardless of whether or not your container is completely full. Learn more about FCL here.
LCL Sea Freight from Singapore to the United States
LCL, or less than a container load, means your goods do not fill an entire container, and will be shipped along with other boxes or pallets. Note that when you ship LCL, your goods will need to be consolidated at the origin port and deconsolidated at the destination port. That’s why LCL shipping takes a few days longer than FCL.Shipping by air is generally faster but more expensive than shipping by sea. For help choosing which mode is right for your shipment, use our air vs. ocean comparison calculator.
Freight rates, especially FCL sea freight and air freight rates, are affected by seasonal factors. When shipping from Singapore to the United States, remember to take into account peak seasons in both Singapore and the United States.
For example, if you’re shipping from Singapore, Singapore to Los Angeles, United States, you’re going to want to ask your supplier about the cost difference between shipping from the supplier’s warehouse in Singapore– which means using the EXW incoterm– and shipping from the port of Singapore(SGSIN) – which means using the FOB incoterm.
Prices for FOB are typically lower, but shipping FOB doesn’t mean your total costs will necessarily be lower. You might make up the cost by paying your supplier to bring your goods to port. When comparing prices, take all your costs into account.
