Why did not EA add its own editing of arena functions and team colours, logos, uniforms to Madden?
In every other sport game you can edit team colors, logos, uniforms and stadiums. Why has not EA added these attributes to madden? They did but took it out to introduce as new attribute. This is on the base of things. I think if you play a game and you are the owner of a franchise I think you should be able to alter the colors of your own uniform or rebrand your team; being able to do that adds an excess level of immersion into the game.
I'm in the camp that goes with: The NFL does not want anyone tampering with their land, so that they told EA to not permit this. Thats not true. It was affirmed by rex Dickson himself. The only restriction that the NFL had was they didnt want their trademarks used in custom uniforms. Also, not having the ability to personalize an actual NFL teams uniform. The NFL approved of those logos used however. Also, we could technically move the GB Packers to Chicago and rename them the Cougars, therefore I dont think the NFL would let that but not custom teams.
So wouldn't this because those are part of the uniforms, include not being able to change team colors? I can understand having the ability to create teams, and I would love to get that back also. But this strikes me as the NFL saying"Don't mess with our land because it currently is". I just assumed he was referring to make a team. Upon re-reading it might mean giving the Packers a custom uniform and using them be known as the Packers/use the buy Madden 21 coins Packers logo which would not be ok. I'm talking a full blown customization just like NBA 2k is. By way of example if for a few I conclude wanted the packers to have a black uniform I could be able to make a new uniform and play as them under the packers title.
