Does this mean that I am saying Runescape isn't dying? from Skyzhay's blog

The people who argue that OSRS GP is dying (many of them also decrying the game's recent content) typically refer to the Google trend for Runescape.com. Here's a link to help you get acquainted. The graph makes things look more bleak than they really are. This is because it appears that the game has little activity even though it clearly has plenty.

On first look, it seems like the game is dead. It has been this way for quite some time. It's pretty tough to argue with that. Since the peak (December 2006), Runescape has overall been heading down. And let's not forget that similar games, such as World of Warcraft, have also had a decrease in activity. Even with this graph, there is still optimism for the game.

If you are able to get past the massive decrease in activity you may notice that towards the end of the graph the decrease in activity has slowed to a halt. The graph indicates that activity has not decreased significantly over the past year and a half, at least for actual players. While there's been a decrease in the perception of activity, the decrease in regular players has been very minimal.

Does this mean that I am saying Runescape isn't dying? Not necessarily. However, it is dying a lot faster than people think. In the last year and half, Runescape lost 3 activity points from Google Trend. To compare, Runescape has lost 43 of Google Trends' activity points in the time between July 2009 and now (again, a year-and-a half). Anyone who plans to attend Runescape’s Funeral should not plan on taking time from work soon.

I write an email to this buy 2007 runescape gold sender, explaining that Jagex discovered me and I'm not going to utilize Jagex's services (and I don't really intend to), or email them. Jagex sends me another email shortly after. Jagex, which I believe to be the real Jagex, tells me that the message I received was fake and that they were sent by someone who was using Jagex's address to conceal their identity. It said they wanted to phish for my account, etc.
