COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After Ohio State cruised to a 77-10 victory over Bowling Green in the season opener last Saturday, it stands to reason that coach Urban Meyer would be pretty pleased with the performance. Chance Warmack Jersey .Meyer was happy but not overly impressed with the blowout against the school that gave him his head coaching start.I thought our guys played pretty good. I think it was good, not great, Meyer said.It would be difficult to convince most Buckeyes fans that Ohio State was not great in the Ohio Stadium opener. The point total was the highest in Meyers 15 years as a head coach, and the offense set a school record with 776 total yards. And then there was quarterback J.T. Barrett being named the Big Ten offensive player of the week after passing for 349 yards and six touchdowns and rushing for one score against the Falcons. Those are video-game numbers. But Meyer and the No. 4 Buckeyes are quickly putting that game in the rear-view mirror and turning their attention to Tulsa, the second nonconference opponent on the schedule. The two teams meet for the first time Saturday (3:30 p.m., ABC) at Ohio Stadium. The Golden Hurricane (1-0) are the first of two straight opponents from Oklahoma that the Buckeyes face. The following Saturday, Ohio State goes on the road to take on No. 14 Oklahoma.Tulsa, which plays in the American Athletic Conference, opened its season last week with a 45-10 victory at San Jose State.Meyer is expecting a tougher test from Tulsa than Bowling Green. The Golden Hurricane are coached by former Baylor offensive coordinator Phillip Montgomery, which means Ohio State is preparing to face a wide-open spread attack that mixes passing with a decent running game.I think when you hear spread, its about numbers, Meyer said. So I think that part is similar (to Ohio States offense). ... But the identity is were going to line up and hammer the football and run the ball. And we expect to lead the conference or be close to the lead in rushing offense.I cant speak to what Baylor does. But when you look at Baylor and then Tulsa, theyre very balanced, more balanced than people think. And so I think its somewhat similar. But there are different fundamental differences to (Ohio States offense).Tulsa rushed for 305 yards and totaled 512 yards of offense in its opener. The Golden Hurricane scored 38 straight points in the blowout on the road and their defense limited San Jose State to 287 total yards and forced three turnovers. That means Ohio States offense and defense are preparing for anything and everything this week from a team hungry to upset a national power.Weve got a tough one coming up this week, a team that beat San Jose soundly from the get-go, Meyer said. And very talented receivers, two NFL prospects at wide receiver, a returning veteran at quarterback (Dane Evans) and a D coordinator (Bill Young) who used to coach here at Ohio State. Theyre very sound on defense and do a nice job.Young was Ohio States defensive coordinator from 1988 to 1995 under coach John Cooper, who came to Columbus after serving as Tulsas coach. Youngs defense played well in the opener against San Jose State, but the Golden Hurricane know the Buckeyes are a different animal this week. Its going to be a great challenge for us, especially going up to their place, said Montgomery, who recruited Barrett when he was offensive coordinator at Baylor and the Ohio State quarterback was a standout high school player in Texas. Were looking forward to it. Were going up with the mindset that were going to win the football game.Montgomery promises the Golden Hurricane wont be intimidated by the 105,000-plus fans in Ohio Stadium. Tulsa played at Oklahoma last year and hung with the Sooners before losing 52-38.Theyre the next team on our schedule, Montgomery said. For us, its not about the helmet, not about the shirt, its what you do between the lines.Ohio State goes into the game as a four-touchdown favorite, but will be without defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle, who underwent surgery Sunday for a torn patellar tendon in a knee. Linebacker Dante Booker is questionable after suffering an MCL sprain in the first quarter against Bowling Green. Zach Ertz Jersey . Barcelona also left injured defenders Carles Puyol, Javier Mascherano and Jordi Alba out of its squad for the trip to Glasgow. That means that Marc Bartra will probably start again in the centre of the defence alongside Gerard Pique. Mack Hollins Jersey . -- If Henry Burris has his way, he will be the starting quarterback to lead the Hamilton Tiger-Cats back to the Grey Cup next year. http://www.eaglesfansproshop.com/Eagles+Fletcher+Cox+Rush+Jersey.html?cat=1306 . Jeff Green scored 13 points and Kris Humphries 12 for the Celtics, who nearly blew an 18-point, second-half lead. Sullingers 20-20 was the first by a Celtics player since Kevin Garnetts first game in Boston in 2007. Garnett was dealt -- along with Paul Pierce -- to Brooklyn during the off-season. Commissioner Bob Bowlsby has referred to what the Big 12 is about to step into as it moves toward expansion as a sellers market. The conference is selling salvation for two to four schools that are clamoring for a spot in the Power Five and all the amenities (mostly lots of money) that goes with moving up in the world.Through open records requests to Big 12 schools, the reporting of other news organizations and statements released Wednesday by several obvious suits, here are the candidates (alphabetical order):BYU -- The Cougars have a huge national following, a history of competing at a high level and an affiliation with the Church of Latter Day Saints that prohibits the Provo, Utah-schools teams from competing on Sundays. This is not a small inconvenience. Nor will it keep BYU from possibly getting strong consideration. And as a football independent with its other sports in the West Coast Conference, BYU doesnt need to be coy and maybe could cut a football-only deal.BYU is known for its academic excellence and I believe we have an exceptional athletic program, athletic director Tom Holmoe said in a statement. As I have stated before, I would like to see our student-athletes compete at the highest level.Boise State -- The Broncos bring a top-notch football program, and an improving athletic program in general.Central Florida -- It has enormous enrollment (60,767) and is located in a recruiting hot bed, with a growing population in Orlando. The football was awesome a few years ago (BCS win against Baylor) and terrible last year (0-12).Cincinnati -- The school has just expanded and upgraded old Nippert Stadium, which now seats about 40,000. The football team has become a steady winner and moving into Ohio would not only give the Big 12 an eastern bridge to West Virginia but maybe open up some solid recruiting territory. The Big 12 is very Texas dependent when it comes to recruiting.South Florida -- Kind of like American Athletic Conference rival UCF, but not as big (48,973 enrollment) and not as much recent football success. However, right now, USF football is trending up. Wednesday was probably not the best day to announce the NCAA was investigating the athletic program.Connecticut -- Perhaps no school suffered more from conference realignment than UConn, a longtime Big East member that was shoved from college sports main stage. Sure the football was always so-so, but UConn basketball was a power and a powerful brand. With the Big 12 no longer talking about a conference network, that foot in the New York and Boston television markets might not be as appealing.Colorado State -- The school has been doingg what you do when you want to get noticed. Chris Maragos Jersey. Expanding stadiums, investing in facilities and coaches. Big 12 schools have lots of alumni in Colorado, especially the Denver area. Fort Collins is about 65 miles straight north, pretty and growing. Maybe the Rams can replace what the Big 12 lost in Colorado?Memphis -- The Tigers have a notable sponsor in FedEx CEO Fred Smith, an alum who has promised his companys sponsorship to the Big 12. The football has been mostly irrelevant but is coming off a couple of excellent seasons. Basketball is top-shelf and so is the FedEx Forum where the team plays. School officials are quick to note how the universitys academic profile is on the upswing. The University is prepared to take action when opportunities to increase the level of positive attention and exposure for our city, campus and Athletic Department are presented, athletic director Tom Bowen said in a statement. The University of Memphis continues to gain national recognition for its advancements in research, teaching and student accomplishments, and the Athletic Department is one part of that winning combination.Houston -- A new on-campus stadium is sweet, and the Cougars picked an excellent time to be coming off a 13-1 season and a Peach Bowl victory under everybodys dream coach, Tom Herman. But will Herman be here longterm? If Houston is in the Big 12, that helps the cause a lot. Being in Texas is either a deal-breaker for a conference that already thinks Houston is Big 12 country, or a good way to lock up a part of the state that has been infiltrated heavily by the SEC since Texas A&M joined. At the University of Houston we are certainly honored to be mentioned as a progressive institution that places a competitive emphasis on both academics and athletics, athletic director Hunter Yuracheck said. As a Tier One research institution and Phi Beta Kappa member, Houston has seen a reinvigorated spirit in Athletics. We have returned our proud University to the national spotlight and we aim to compete on the highest levels as we build Champions for Life. Our mission will not change.San Diego State -- Getting the Texas-centric conference into Southern California makes some sense from a recruiting standpoint.Tulane -- Sounds a little crazy considering recent athletic success. The American thought it was buying low in Tulane and it still hasnt turned around. The Big 12 provides a lot more benefits (i.e. money) and the Big 12 likes New Orleans, where it plays in the Sugar Bowl. When Tim Tebow announced he was pursuing professional baseball, we asked whether hed have a career. Adidas NMD R1 Bianche . At least 48 percent of voters were correct -- he signed with the New York Mets, and on Wednesday he made his instructional league debut.By now you probably know: He homered on the first pitch he saw.So, we have to ask:Tebow ended up going 1-for-6 in Port St. Lucie, Florida, logging five innings in left field and cutting off the lone ball hit in his direction to hold the batter to a single. His home run came off 6-foot-5 left-hander John Kilichowski, who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 11th round out of Vanderbilt University in June.I liked a lot of my at-bats today, Tebow said. I felt like I hit the ball really hard four of the six times. ... Four of the at-bats I felt really, really good about. I didnt swing at any breaking balls. I didnt feel like I really got fooled seeing it. I felt good seeing it out on the hand. I was just late on a couple of the fastballs. Adidas NMD R1 Rosa . They had already blown a double-digit lead, fans were hitting the exits, and a long seven-game road trip waited at the end. Superstar Supercolor Pack . There are surprises among the Vezina candidates, but most of the others are standard top-tier performers, even if the two Hart Trophy runners-ups have never been quite as good as they have been through the first half of the season. OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Offensive tackle Jake Long was not immediately signed by the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday and his physical is ongoing.Long, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2008 draft, is visiting Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama, to get consultation on his knee. Long has suffered multiple anterior cruciate ligament tears over his eight-year career and was limited to four games last season. The Ravens, who begin training camp Thursday, are interested in signing Long as insurance for first-round pick Ronnie Stanley, who is expected to start at left tackle. There is also a chance that Long could compete for the sstarting job at left guard. Adidas NMD R1 Uomo. Long, 31, told ESPN in late June that this is the healthiest he has felt in five years. He hasnt started a game since October 2014.The other veteran player who isnt expected to participate in the first practice of camp is wide receiver Mike Wallace. He will be placed on the non-football injury list after he failed to pass the teams conditioning test Wednesday. The Ravens expect him to be on the field over the next couple of days after he passes the test. SAN FRANCISCO -- One of these days, one of these years, one of these decades, its going to hit them. J.J. Jansen Jersey . One of these days, one of these years, one of these decades, these miracle workers disguised as the San Francisco Giants are going to have that moment of clarity when they realize that what they keep doing shouldnt be possible. But apparently, that day isnt this day. That year isnt this year. And that decade definitely isnt this decade.Ten times in their past three October appearances, the Giants have headed for six different ballparks in three different time zones, knowing a loss would end their season. So what are the odds of winning, say, seven of those games? Or eight? Or nine?Well, Ill tell you one thing. They might be greater than the odds of Pablo Sandoval winning the Olympic 100-meter final. But theyre a piece of cake, compared to the odds of doing what the Giants did this time -- on a remarkable Monday evening at AT&T Park, in Game 3 of the National League Division Series. On this night, they didnt just win their (gulp) 10th postseason elimination game in a row, wriggling past the Chicago Cubs?6-5 in a game that ended at close to 3 a.m. back in the groggy confines of the Eastern time zone. No sir. On this night, what the Giants won was a 5-hour, 4-minute, 13-inning ride on the postseason Ferris wheel. They were down. They were up. They were dead. They were alive. They were queasy. They were euphoric. Sometimes all in the same inning. But in the end, they did what they always do in games like this -- namely, make the impossible once again feel not just possible, but practically normal. When youre still playing, youve got a chance, Hunter Pence?said?as the clock ticked toward 1 a.m. Pacific time in a nearly deserted clubhouse. So theres no impossible.Pence is one of five members of this team who has played in every one of those 10 elimination games. The others are first baseman Brandon Belt, shortstop Brandon Crawford, outfielder Gregor Blanco and, of course, the Derek Jeter of his generation, catcher Buster Posey. If the producers of Survivor ever decide its time to cast a season of Survivor: Bay Area, then we have a lot of candidates, joked general manager Bobby Evans. Theyd have a tough time paring it down. What these men have experienced, what theyve shared, what theyve accomplished, is almost as hard to comprehend as it is to actually pull off. So no wonder that on this latest, greatest night of performing their regularly scheduled postseason magic show, they struggled to find the words to describe what theyd just experienced. Again. You know, I use the word unbelievable way too much, Belt said. But it really is unbelievable. Its hard for these guys to remember all these games, let alone rank them. But how could we not ask them where this particular game ranked, seeing as how it contained about 11 different moments that would have caused the average human heart to explode.Boy, Crawford said, after scoring the winning run, its right up there. But Game 7 of the World Series [in 2014] was pretty good, also.Oh, OK. Well allow them to rank that one ahead of the rest, considering it led them all the way to the parade floats. This game, on the other hand, was just their latest survival act -- another desperate, gut-spilling effort to avoid being told it was time to go home.It began with the incomprehensible sight of Jake Arrieta launching a three-run home run off Mr. October himself, Madison Bumgarner -- the first home run Bumgarner had ever served up to any pitcher. It ended with Joe Panik becoming the first second baseman to deliver a walk-off hit in an elimination game since (who else?) Bill Mazeroski. In between, there was the just-not-possible procession of three consecutive Giants left-handed hitters reaching base in the eighth to hang a blown save on Aroldis Chapman ... and a stunning, game-tying, two-run, ninth-inning home run that skipped off the top of a car billboard by the Cubs Kris Bryant ... and a sprinting, sprawling, game-saving, ninth-inning Web Gem by Cubs right fielder Albert Almora Jr. ... and a controversial replay review that left 43,571 people in shock ... and yet another incredible, out-of-the-blue lightning bolt by this Octobers least likely hero, Conor Gillaspie -- a go-ahead, eighth-inning triple off a 101 mph Chapman flameball that was the hardest pitch Gillaspie had ever seen whooshing toward him in his career. But in the end, you know what this was? It was just the San Francisco Giants, doing what they do: living to play October baseball for at least one more day. This, Evans said, was the kind of game you really dream about. He thought back to the moment in his own life when he realized that postseason baseball was something so fantastic, so dramatic and often so downright improbable that it produced memories that stick with you for a lifetime. That happened back in 1975, when he was 6 years old and Carlton Fisk lofted a home run toward the Green Monster in Fenway that hasnt stopped flying through that night -- for four glorious decades. And now, the GM said, you have to pinch yourself to think youre here watching all these historic performances over these last seven years, and realizing these guys are getting all these big hits, pitching these big innings, making these great plays, in equally tough situations -- some to get you to the World Series, some of them actually in the World Series. . . . And its just hard to imagine youre living it right now.Oh, but theyre living it, all right. Over three different Octobers. One sensational Houdini act after another. No baseball team, before they came along, had ever won 10 postseason elimination games in a row. And only one team, in any of the four major professional sports, has won more of these games than this. That would be a team of legends -- the 1959-67 Boston Celtics, who won 11 in a row, in a very different sport and a very different time. But in this sport? In this time? Its a feat of outrageous magnitude. Just to give you some perspective, have you heard of those mighty New York Yankees? Theyve done a lot of winning in October, right? Word of that has probably reached you. But theyve won just 11 of their past 25 postseason elimination games -- a stretch that goes back 40 years. These San Francisco Giants, on the other hand, have done this just over the past four years -- and still have nine players on the roster who have been a part of this cast for all of it.Ill tell you, Pence said, exuding the sort of glow that makes you understand why people play sports in the first place. Its just awesome playing with these guys. ... We just keep each moment and each day, and get out there and play to chase our dreams. Those dreams, for this year, will still require a whole lot of chasing, because all this emotional night had done for them was allow them to show up to play Game 4 on Tuesday. But that doesnt mean what just happened, on their own little field of dreams, wasnt worth savoring.Ten consecutive wins, in games in which winning was the only option? Tell us how that is possible. Seriously. How?You know what? I dont know, Crawford said. But hopefully, we can find out again tomorrow. Sam Mills Jersey .Y. - Nelson Mandela will be honoured by the New York Yankees with a plaque in Monument Park. New Zealand 271 and 0 for 0 lead Pakistan 216 (Azam 90*, Sarfraz 41, Southee 6-80, Wagner 3-59) by 55 runsScorecard and ball-by-ball detailsA six-wicket haul from Tim Southee secured a 55-run lead for New Zealand and left Babar Azam stranded ten short of a maiden Test hundred on a damp third day at Seddon Park. Teez Tabor Jersey . Rain allowed only 38.1 overs of play. A brief shower forced lunch eight minutes early, and only six balls were possible in the second session. Pakistans innings ended 5.2 overs into the third session, after which the New Zealand openers came out and faced one ball before it rained again.Pakistan were 76 for 5 at the start of the days play, and trailed New Zealand by 195. That they narrowed their deficit to 55 was down largely to two partnerships featuring Azam: 74 for the sixth wicket with Sarfraz Ahmed, and 67 for the seventh with Sohail Khan. New Zealand then struck back, taking the last four wickets for only 24 runs.Azam had feasted on some wayward New Zealand bowling on the second evening, picking up a number of boundaries with the cut and the flick. The seamers were a lot more disciplined against him on the third morning, largely sticking to a fourth-stump line and seldom wavering from a good length. Azam fought discipline with discipline, showing excellent defensive technique and looking entirely unaffected when his partners outscored him. He looked to play in the V as much as possible, and two of his five fours on the day came in that region, glorious drives down the ground off Wagner. The morning began with Sarfraz going after the bowling by pulling, cutting, and jumping out of his crease to put the fast bowlers off their length. He hit six fours in two successive overs from Southee, who was unable to find either the seam movement or the length that helped him run through Pakistans top order on day two and offered up a number of short balls. Just as he entered the 40s and raised hopes of a similar innings to his match-turning 96 against Sri Lanka in Galle last year, he steered Neil Wagner straight to second slip, where Jeet Raval clung onto an excellent reflex catch.Sohail, whose second-innings 40 in Christchurch earned him a promotion to No. 8, took over Sarfrazs role at the crease. Wagner, looking to test him with the short ball from both sides of the wicket, ended up leaking runs as Sohail took him on with the pull and the hook. Twice in succession, Sohail sent the ball soaring over the fielder at long leg, and once he bisected long leg and deep square leg.The seventh-wicket pair took Pakistan into the 190s before Southee, returning for his second spell of the day, found some outswing to break the partnership, first beating and then kissing Sohails outside edge. Then, in the next over, Colin de Grandhomme had Wahab Riaz lbw, his front pad going too far across the stumps and coming in the way of his bats downswing. The final session began with Pakistan 201 for 8, with Azam batting on 81. Southee bowled a leg-stump half-volley which Azam put away to the boundary, but produced a beauty in his next over, the extra bounce forcing Mohammad Amir to lob a catch to second slip off the glove. In came Imran Khan, playing his eighth Test and yet to score a run in the format. He got off the mark off his second ball, dabbing Southee for a couple towards third man, and Azam moved to 90 with a rasping square-cut off Matt Henry in the next over. That, though, would remain his last scoring stroke, as Southee, peppering Imran with the short ball, forced the No. 11 to tickle one off his ribs and offer BJ Watling a catch down the leg side.Southees 6 for 80 was his first five-wicket haul at home since his debut Test in 2008. Zach Zenner Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. Paul Worrilow Jersey . The Australian is competing in his final season in Formula One and still looking for his first win this year. He will look to end Vettels run of six straight race wins on Sunday. Burris threw two TD passes, including a key 15-yard fourth-quarter strike to Bakari Grant that effectively countered a Toronto comeback bid and led Hamilton to a 33-19 victory. The knockout blow might have finally been delivered to their NRL season but Parramatta have vowed to go out swinging in 2016.But first they will need to pick themselves off the canvas - again. There seemed to be little fight left in the Eels after their slim finals hopes were officially killed off by Saturdays 34-14 loss to Gold Coast.Eels players acknowledged their fate by dropping their heads after the six-tries-to-three loss at cbus Super Stadium. However, Parramatta coach Brad Arthur said there was still plenty to gain from their nightmare season. Our season may be over but we have standards and expectations - that is all we can judge ourselves on, he said.We have to ask ourselves at the end of the year did we maintain those standards or take the easy option?.The Eels had held onto hope that wins in their remaining seven matches would keep them in the finals mix. They had to cling to something. In a year lurching from controversy to controversy for Parramatta, Eels fans would still have been disheartened by the events of the past week.Wayward five-eighth Corey Norman watched from the Gold Coast sidelines after being suspended for eight weeks and fined $20,000 for a string of off-field incidennts, including a conviction for drug possession. A Shawn Robinson Jersey. Parramatta were also taken over by a NSW government-appointed administrator on Tuesday in the wake of their salary-cap scandals which resulted in a $1 million fine and the loss of 12 competition points.Their luck didnt change on Saturday.Captain Beau Scott (ankle) was cut before the match while hooker Isaac De Gois (suspected knee) limped off in the 64th minute as Parramatta slid to third last on 12 points.Weve got probably three quarters of the salary cap sitting on the sidelines, Arthur said of their long list of unavailable players including playmaker Kieran Foran. We will just add them (De Gois, Scott) to the list.We will find some (back-up).If anything, I would rather them (injuries) this year than next year.Eels stand-in skipper Tim Mannah said it was pretty easy to ignore their off-field dramas. This is a resilient, tough group, he said. The attitude we have makes it a lot easier to deal with situations that look pretty messy from the outside.I think we will be better for it once we come through it. AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Matt Kenseths misfortune gave Joey Logano a chance to race for the championship. In an improbable turn of events, Kenseth came within two laps of a spot in next week in the title-deciding finale to eliminated from NASCARs playoffs. Logano was gifted a victory Sunday that put him in the final four after a tense double-overtime event at Phoenix International Raceway.Kenseth had the win in hand until a late caution sent the race to extra laps. Although he cleared traffic on the restart, his teammate Kyle Busch had contact with Alex Bowman that altered Bowmans racing line.Kenseths spotter told the driver he was clear, but he actually cut down on Bowman and the contact caused him to crash.Logano saw the sequence unfolding, let off his gas early, and slid into the lead after the accident. He then held off Busch in the second overtime for the win that qualified him for the championship next week at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Prior to Kenseths accident, Logano was in danger of elimination.Im like `Oh, shoot, were out, and it was going to be so close there at the end to try to get ourselves through, and next thing you know the caution comes out and the whole game changes, Logano said. We find ourselves as the leader and we win the race. Thats NASCAR racing at its finest.Logano won the race -- the second time in this Chase he used a victory in an elimination race to advance -- and will race for his first Sprint Cup title next Sunday. Hell be trying to give Roger Penske a season sweep during its 50th anniversary season. Simon Pagenaud won the IndyCar title in September.Ive never felt this good about a win before, Logano said. There was so much on the line and everyone brings their A-game when it comes to winning championships and this team did it.I feel like I just won the Daytona 500 again.Busch finished second and earned a chance to defend last years title. Hell meet Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson, who is seeking a record-tying seventh championship, in Homestead.JGR, which was trying to get all four of its Toyotas into the final , wound up with only two and Busch wasnt feeling celebratory. He believed his contact with Bowman triggered the accident that wrecked Kenseths season. Its really unfortunate and devastating to have the race come down like that, Busch said. Thats so frustrating and aggravating, and I feel horrible.Eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday were Kevin Harvick, an eight-time winner at Phoenix who had raced in the last two finales, as well as his Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Kurt Busch. Toronto Maple Leafs Jerseys. Gibbs drivers Kenseth and Denny Hamlin were also knocked out of the field.Disappointing would be the way to put it lightly, Kenseth said. Although it gave him a brief lead, he was no match for drivers with fresh tires.I knew it was going to be an uphill climb, Hamlin said.PIT ROAD PENALTIES: NASCAR picked Sunday to enforce a rule against passing the pace car when a driver dips onto pit road for a stop. Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson were both penalized for the infraction, and the punishment was holding the car for a lap on pit road.Johnson and crew chief Chad Knaus were incredulous.I dont understand that in the least little bit, Johnson said on his radio. This is absolutely ridiculous, NASCAR. I have no clue what I did wrong.Johnson said hell ask for clarification this week.In 15 years, that has never been a concern, and I was always told that the last thing NASCAR wanted to do would be to penalize the leader, Johnson said. I am still baffled, and I dont know if I will stop being baffled.BOWMAN OUT FRONT: Alex Bowman badly wants a job for next year, and his continued strong pace as the replacement driver for Dale Earnhardt Jr. is giving him a solid case to present to prospective employers.Bowman had led just nine laps in his first 79 career Sprint Cup races. Six of those laps were earlier this year driving Earnhardts Chevrolet. A pole-winning run for Sundays race helped Bowman lead a race-high 194 laps and was attempting to win the race before the late accident. He faded to sixth, and felt bad about his incident with Kenseth.I hate it for Matt. I would have raced the hell out of him for the win, but definitely dont want to do that, Bowman said. Hate that, and it ruined our day, too. So its unfortunate.UP NEXT: The season finale at Homestead, where the championship will be decided. Harvick won the race in 2014 to win his championship, and Kyle Busch won last year to claim the title. What happened last night that you need to know about? Joe McDonald gives us his take on the biggest and best performances. Youth Canucks Jerseys . This is where we say, Morning, Joe.Jets have guts: While all eyes were on the Winnipeg Jets Patrik Laine playing his first game against his childhood idol Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals -- if they werent on?the hyped showdown between Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews in Toronto, that is -- the bigger picture here is the Jets. Despite a 3-2 loss to the Capitals at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, the Jets provided a gutsy performance, which is becoming the norm. They dropped to 4-6-0 but again proved theres no quit in them. Trailing 2-0 late in the third period, the Jets Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry each scored to tie the game. Scheifeles goal was a perfect example of this team not throwing in the towel. Captain Blake Wheeler had the puck along the boards in the offensive zone with a defender bearing down. Wheeler protected the puck, kept his legs moving and passed the puck to Scheifele, who beat Capitals goalie Braden Holtby. Lowrys goal in the waning minutes was also a highlight-reel goal, but the Capitals Jay Beagle scored with 30 seconds remaining in regulation to stun the Jets. Winnipeg is a fun team to watch, and you can expect this type of effort for the remainder of the season with its great mix of veterans and youth. These teams play again on Thursday in D.C.Rangers on a roll: If youre looking for a team that showcases depth throughout the lineup, look no further than the New York Rangers. They are 7-3-0 and lead the NHL with 40 goals after Tuesdays 5-0 win over the St. Louis Blues at Madison Square Garden. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault is rolling four lines and getting contributions from nearly everyone. But it starts with goaltending. Veteran Henrik Lundqvist?again proved he is extra motivated in a 35-save performance against the Blues, his 60th career shutout and his best game of the season. Offensively, the Rangers got goals from five players. Forward Chris Kreider, who missed four consecutive games with neck spasms, had two assists. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock called his teams loss a real eye-opener because the Rangers are proving to be a complete team with the ability to expose opponents weaknesses. Oh, by the way, Rangers rookie Jimmy Vesey had a three-point night, including his sixth goal of the season. He now has nine points in 10 games and is a plus-5.Rask up to the task: During their recent three-game losing skid, the Boston Bruins were without No. 1 goaltender Tuukka Rask, who was sidelined with an undisclosed injury. In his second game back, the veteran made 33 saves en route to a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers?on Tuesday night at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. He nearly posted his second consecutive shutout, but the Panthers scored with 4:35 remaining. During his brief absence, the Bruins showed just how vulnerable they are without their best goalie. Rask has not allowed more than one goal in four of his five starts this season. Backup Anton Khudobin remains sidelined with an upper-body injury, so Boston needed to dip into its development system in the AHL, but Malcolm Subban and Zane McIntyre struggled in those three games. It was another sign of Rasks importance to this team. Uniteds eighth defeat of a wretched campaign means Liverpool, which currently occupies the fourth and final Champions League place, could go nine points clear of its fierce rival by beating West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Charlie Adam scored both of Stokes goals at Britannia Stadium either side of Robin van Persies equalizer, with a miserable day for seventh-place United capped by first-half injuries to centre halves Jonny Evans and Phil Jones that forced them off. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants coach Ben McAdoo isnt going to shake things up despite dismal performances in the first two preseason games, both losses.Speaking a day after dropping a 21-0 decision to the Bills in Buffalo, McAdoo said Sunday that some backups are going to get chances to show what they can do this week. The offensive line has to be the first-year coachs biggest concern. It failed to generate much of a running game last season and the Giants didnt do anything in the offseason to improve it.Free agency was used to buy players for the leagues worst defense in 2015, with the hope being that the offensive line would improve with everyone coming back.It hasnt happened.Left tackle Ereck Flowers, last years first-round draft pick, is not blowing anyone off the ball. Left guard Justin Pugh missed Saturdays game with a shoulder injury. Center Weston Richburg, right guard John Jerry and right tackle Marshall Newhouse have not impressed.Even backup Bobby Hart, a seventh-round pick who the Giants hoped would push Newhouse, has been inconsistent. The bottom line is the line needs help and there is little help behind the top six.The waiver wire might have to provide help after NFL rosters are reduced to 53 players on Sept. 3.The Giants open the season on Sept. 11 at Dallas. Were going to give guys opportunities to compete, but at the same point in time, were not going to have any knee-jerk reactions, no ones panicking here, McAdoo said. Were not going to rush to judgment on anything. Were going to go out there, were going to get the pads on and were going to get to work.In the season opener against the Dolphins, the running game generated 1225 yards in the first half on 23 carries. Cheap Canucks Jerseys. However, Miami had none of its first-team defensive line play in the game. The Buffalo game was terrible. New York had eight rushes for 10 yards in the half.McAdoo said the line has to improve on its fundamentals and be more physical, something he has seen in practice. We have to keep working on it in practice and carry it over and its got to show up on game day, he said. A lot of the things, and a lot of the mistakes that were making, were not making in practice, we just need to have the confidence to carry those over to game day.McAdoo expects Pugh to return to practice in some capacity this week along with cornerback Eli Apple and receiver Victor Cruz.Cruz is expected to work Monday when the team does some conditioning, starts getting ready for the Jets and goes over corrections from Saturdays game.Cruz, who has not played in the opening two preseason games after missing all of last season, is expected to practice Tuesday when the team has a normal workout.Apple hurt a knee in the preseason opener.Wide receiver/return man Dwayne Harris had an MRI on the knee he hurt Saturday and it checked out OK. Trainers will examine him again Monday.McAdoo was not certain whether the Giants would bring in another placekicker. Free agent Tom Obarski missed a short field attempt on Saturday in what was considered his golden opportunity to show the team he could do the job with Josh Brown suspended for the season opener.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Alex Noren described his superb final-day 63 as the best round of his career after he stormed to a remarkable six-shot victory at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Linval Joseph Jersey . The Swede was already enjoying the most profitable season of his life, having collected three victories in 10 starts, and he made it four in 11 on his debut at the Gary Player Country Club after turning a six-stroke overnight deficit into a handsome win on the final day. Alex Noren is congratulated by Race to Dubai leader and fellow Swede Henrik Stenson on the 18th green Noren was particularly hot on the greens, opening with a 30-foot putt for birdie and picking up five more shots in an outward 30, and he kept his momentum flowing by holing another long-range effort for eagle at the 10th. The 34-year-old suddenly found himself three clear at the top when he pitched in for another birdie from over the green at the next and, despite a bogey at 14 ending his hopes of a 59, he got the shot back at 16 and parred safely in as 54-hole leader Jeunghun Wang faded down the stretch. Noren carded an eagle, eight birdies and just one bogey in his closing 63 Norens eighth career title lifts him into the worlds top 10 for the first time, a remarkable rise from his ranking of 108th barely four months ago, while he also has an outside chance of overhauling Henrik Stenson at the top of the Race to Dubai standings at next weeks season-ending DP World Tour Championship. Its unbelievable, said the Swede, who claimed his third win of the year at last months British Masters supported by Sky Sports. Yesterday was a bit tough and my game wasnt really there. But I tried to get the right feelings for today and it clicked. I dont think Ive ever played as good, especially on the greens. Norens victory was his fourth of the season and lifted him to world No 9 You get a bit more relaxed as a player and you might be able to hole a putt and it was one of those rounds. This was the round of my life.I think me and my caddie worked a lot on trying to go for the right places on the green, because there are so many tricky pins here. They tuck those pins away up in the corners of the greens and its easy to make bogeys. All of a sudden, I was actually in front and not chasing, and that made it a little different. But I stuck in there in it feels amazing. Noren has an outside chance to win the Race to Dubai Noren played the final round alongside Stenson, who extended his Race to Dubai lead over Danny Willett to just under 300,000 points as he closed with a battling 70 to finish in eighth place on six under.Stenson paid tribute to his fellow Swede afterwards, saying: Alex rolled in a big slinger at the first and got a good notch on the second, almost made eagle, and he kept on playing solid and making those putts. It felt like he was on fire, no one was really able to touch him. Stenson retained his Race to Dubai lead after finishing eighth Well done to him, all the credit and hes definitely in there in the mix for the last week. CHICAGO -- No player on the Chicago White Sox is untouchable as the trade deadline approaches. That includes left-hander Chris Sale, who could yield a bevy of prospects from a desperate contender. Expect plenty of buyers to be watching as Sale takes the mound Saturday against the Detroit Tigers. In all likelihood, the 27-year-old southpaw will stay in Chicago for at least the remainder of the season. At 14-3 with a 3.18 ERA, he is a top candidate for the American League Cy Young Award. But what if a contending team calls with a blockbuster trade offer for Sale or another star player? We have a responsibility to listen, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said to reporters this week. We have an obligation to understand the value of our guys that are out there and listen to any and all ideas. This time of year, sometimes teams get a little more aggressive and want to put something in front of you that would be, frankly, too difficult to say no to. If that happens, we have the responsibility to listen and vet it and make the best decision for the franchise. The White Sox (46-50) could transform into sellers after losing eight of the past nine games to fall 10 1/2 games behind the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central. Chicago raced to a 23-10 start but has produced a 23-40 record since then.Meanwhile, the forecast for the Tigers (51-46) is sunnier -- or, at least, not as gray.Left-hander Matt Boyd (1-2, 4.91 ERA) will make his eighth start Saturday for Detroit. The 25-year-old is coming off his first win of the season after pitching six scoreless iinnings against Minnesota. Datone Jones Jersey. Boyd allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings in his first appearance against the White Sox on June 13.Detroit is 5-3 since the All-Star break and trails Cleveland by six games in the division.Sale is no stranger to Detroits hitters. He is 8-6 with a 3.20 ERA in his career against the Tigers, including a 5-3 mark with a 2.97 ERA in 16 outings (nine starts) at U.S. Cellular Field. Sale earned the victory against Detroit on June 15 after limiting the Tigers to three runs in seven innings.Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said he would not be surprised if his team stood pat at the deadline. Detroit could receive a boost soon as right-hander Jordan Zimmermann (right neck strain) and outfielder J.D. Martinez (right elbow) approach their returns.Sometimes, the best move is to do nothing, Ausmus said.As a player, Ausmus said, he was part of some teams that made big-splash trades at the deadline and other teams that decided to stick with the players on the roster. In 1993, Ausmus was playing for Triple-A Colorado Springs when the Colorado Rockies shipped him to the San Diego Padres in a five-player trade. The Padres immediately promoted Ausmus and flew him to Wrigley Field to join the team on the road.I walked in during the middle of the game -- it was a day game -- and Tony Gwynn was in the middle of a five-hit game, and Andy Benes had a shutout going, Ausmus said. After the beautiful chaos that emerged from what was supposed to be a ho-hum Week 11, this is how its going to be? An undefeated Alabama followed by a wad of one-loss teams. Matt Slauson Jersey . If thats how it indeed plays out (and at this point assuming anything is as ill-advised as holding up a We want Bama sign on College GameDay), then how will the men and women in that hotel conference room in Grapevine, Texas, sift through that pile of one-blemish résumés? Will they compare the best moments of each teams W column? Or will they stack up the low points over on the right side of the season-dividing dash? For now, lets assume theyre going with that common solo digit, the shared 1 in the loss column. Not all Ls are created equal. So, who owns the most impressive defeat? Heres how we rank them.1. Louisville Loss: Oct. 1 at No. 5 Clemson, 42-36Perhaps the biggest advantage that the College Football Playoff selection committee holds over the analytics of the BCS era is the gift of context. Real humans who watched games and closely follow the season understand what a game really was at the time it was played. No game this season has been played with more hype or pressure or within a more insane atmosphere than Lamar Jacksons visit to Death Valley in Week 5. That committee also knows that the Cardinals came within a few yards of being in position to tie the score or win the game via a PAT in the closing ticks. No other team on this list suffered a loss to a ranked team on the road, let alone came within a couple of plays of defeating a top-five team in one of the games most vicious stadiums.2. Ohio State Loss: Oct. 22 at unranked Penn State, 24-21In the playoff era, your enemies are also your friends. The Buckeyes legitimized Penn States rebound season and have continually benefited from doing so as the Nittany Lions have climbed the charts in the weeks since, reaching the AP top 10 on Sunday afternoon ... though now OSU needs PSU to lose one more so the Buckeyes can make a Big Ten title run. Again, context matters, and anyone who watched Ohio States emotional slobberknocker of an OT win at Wisconsin the week before knows the Buckeyes were the walking wounded when they arrived at Happy Valley yet still carried a lead into the final five minutes of the game.3. West Virginia Loss: Oct 29 at unranked Oklahoma State, 37-20The committee is clearly not impressed with the Mountaineers or the Big 12 overall, but a visit to Stillwater is never easy and hindsight tells us this victory is now part of a six-game winning streak for the Cowboys, during which they have rocketed from unranked to 13th in the AP poll. The final score is also not indicative of a game in which WVU trailed by only one TD with less than nine minutes remaining, though its offense was exposed with an untimely clunkiness.4. Michigan Loss: Nov. 12 at unranked Iowa, 14-13Losing to a four-loss team is never good, but a one-point loss on the road in a hostile environment against a brand-name program that came within seconds of being in last years playoff? Theres not a lot of disgrace to be found there. Except, you know, for the unranked, four-loss stuff.5. Washington Loss: Nov. 12 vs. No. 20 USC, 26-13Again, a room of football watchers understands that USC isnt your average three-loss team and is also light-years beyond the Trojans team that started the season 1-3. But losing at home is bad. And losing a game at home in which you spent most of the fourth quarter down two scores is really bad, especially when your remaining games -- whether it be two or three -- will be against teams with two or more losses.6. Clemson Loss: Nov. 12 vs. unranked Pitt, 43-42The Tigers still hold the steering wheel on their playoff road, but this loss was a bad one any way you carve it. It takes all the worst parts of the defeats weve already listed and combines them into one nasty afternoon -- losing at home, against an unranked four-loss team, committing a turnover that allowed that team back into the game, and also being exposed on defense. All of this while the ACC Coastal cant decide whom to send to Orlando to presumably face Clemson in the relocated conference title game.If youve ever read this column before, first off, thanks. Second, then you know I have a soft spot for non-power Gang of 5 schools. Still, were not including Troy, Boise State and San Diego State on this list. But of those three, Id rank them in that order. Troys only defeat was like Louisvilles, a six-point loss at Clemson that came down to an onside kick. Meanwhile, Boise lost to a resurgent but still shaky Wyoming team on the road, and San Diego State inexplicably fell at South Alabama, the same team that lost to Troy two weeks later.Speaking of San Diego State, its time to get on with Flipping the Field and we start, as always, with my Aztecs man crush.Donnel Pumphrey Watch. The San Diego State Aztecs set a school record for single-game rushing with 474 against Nevadas next-to-worst-in-FBS run defense. During the 46-16 win, Pumphrey rushed for 198 yards, becoming only the fifth player to crack the 6,000-yard mark. He reached 6,051, moving past DeAngelo Williams into fourth on the FBS career rushing list. Hes now only 31 yards behind Tony Dorsett for third and would have passed him if not for the erasing of a second half 40-yard run because of a holding penalty. With four games remaining, he needs 347 yards to pass Ron Dayne atop the legendary list.Jabrill Peppers?Watch. The Human Swiss Army Knife lined up at four defensive positions and two offensive positions in Saturday nights loss at Iowa. He also returned one kickoff and one punt, though his offensive contribution was minimal at 11 total yards. From the Ridonculous Stats Department: According to my numerical brothers and sisters in ESPN Stats & Info: Against Mississippi State, freshman QB Jalen Hurts tied the Alabama record for TDs responsible for with five and became the first player in Crimson Tide history to rush for 100 yards while throwing for 300. Clemsons Deshaun Watson set the single-game ACC passing record with 580, in a loss. In fact, the 10 passers who topped 350 yards Saturday were 4-6. UNLV defeated Wyoming 69-66 in three overtimes, coming one point shy of the FBS OT record for combined points scored. Were going streaking! Alabama has won 64 straight against unranked teams. USC has won six in a row, marking its longest win streak since the Pete Carroll era ended in 2009. Washington State has won eight straight in a single season for the first time since 1930. Notre Dame won its 15th straight over Army. Oklahomas 14th consecutive conference win is the longest Big 12 streak since Texas won 20 straight in 2004-06. Speaking of Texas, running back?DOnta Foreman?posted his 11th straight 100-plus yard rushing game, tying Earl Campbells school record.Get in the car, Frank... Washingtons second-longest FBS win streak was ended at 12. Oregon hit seven losses for the first time since 1991, giving up 540 yards by Stanford, the sixth time the Ducks have surrendered 500-plus yards in a game, tied for most in FBS. Kentuckys record against Tennessee since 1985 is now 1-31. The Wildcats lost Saturday despite rushing for 443 yards. Entering Saturday, teams that rushed for 400 yards were 30-0 this season. Now they are 30-1. Auburn matched its lowest single-game point total of the Gus Malzahn era, mustering only seven in a loss to Georgia. The last time the Tigers were held to seven points was in 2014 ... in a loss to Georgia.R.I.P., greatest streak ever? Division III Mount Union had its 112-regular season winning streak ended by a 31-28 loss to John Carroll. But dang, yall, 112 wins in a row?! The Purple Raiders regular-season record since 1994 now stands at 222-2. Looking over their media guide, the oldest handful of players on their roster was born in fall 94. Over that span, the team has won 11 national championships (12 if you go back one more year to 93), and Saturdays loss ended a quarter-century run of conference titles.Remember Heroes, Part 1. Dozens of teams around the nation took the field this weekend sporting red, white and blue helmet logos. Near the top of the list were these lids worn by the East Carolina Pirates, a scheme that was also used in the Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium end zones and along the sidelines.Remember Heroes, Part 2. SMU joined ECU among the Veterans Day salute elite, and in the same game. We shouldnt be surprised that the coolest tributes were in the American conference, should we?Remembering Heroes, Part 3. Marshall also honored heroes Saturday, though it wasnt for Veterans Day. On Nov. 14, 1970, nearly every member of the Thundering Herd football team died in a plane crash outside of Huntington, West Virginia. On Saturday, the 2016 team and staff wore uniforms that paid tribute to the 70 team as well as the 71 squad that saved the program.Tommy West Coachs News Conference of the Week: Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia. Holgorsen, who enjoys news conferences about as much as he enjoys a root canal, was in the middle of ripping himself for not having his offense ready to go during the Mountaineers 24-20 win over Texas when he was thrown a question about the pop in the leg of kicker Mike Molina. He laughed, smiled and growled, How would I know? You think I sit there and study the kickers all day long? After a swig of water, he reiterated his confidence in the 5-foot-9, 150-pound redshirt junior and said they did try to save his leg by limiting his practice reps because its a long season and he looks like a second-grader. Speaking of looking like a second-grader, did you see Holgos interactions with the officials during the game??Danny Ford Scientific Rocket Quote of the Week: Luke Falk, QB, Washington State. Falk is only 21 years old but sounded wise beyond his years when he spoke to our Chris Low the day after the presidential election, with words every side of the fence should listen to. One of the best things about playing football is that youve got guys from different cultures, different races, different parts of the country and guys that see the world differently. But if you dont put those differences aside, come together as a team and sacrifice for each other, youre not going to be successful. I hope our country can learn that same lesson.Weston Steelhammer Name of the Week: Chris Blewitt, Pittsburgh. A kicker who missed a PAT and had a field goal attempt blocked managed to bounce back and boot the winning field goal that knocked off the nations second-ranked team ... and hes named Blew-itt?! College football is the best. Thankfully Pitt color commentator Bill Osborn didnt blow out his vocal cords as the kick went through.Frank Reich Backup QB of the Week Award: Shea Patterson, QB, Ole Miss. You can question Hugh Freezes decision to yank Pattersons redshirt with only three games left in his freshman season, but you cant dispute the results. Stepping in for injured Chad Kelly, the 19-year-old threw for 338 yards and a pair of TDs as the 4-5 Rebels upset Texas A&M, which was in the College Football Playoff top four only two weeks ago. He outdueled another recent off-the-bencher, Jake Hubenak.Comeback of the Week Award, also named for Frank Reich: Penn State 45, Indiana 31. The Nittany Lions trailed the Hoosiers by 10 in the third quarter and by three with 11 minutes remaining, but rallied for their third double-digit second-half comeback of the season, keeping the playoff hopes of Happy Valley alive. Honorable Mention: Louisville trailed Wake Forest 12-0 and 12-10 entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Deacons 34-0 in that final quarter.Comeback of Last Week Award, yes, also named for Frank Reich: Eastern Michigan 48, Ball State 41. My former Bottom 10 friends down at The Factory overcame a 21-point deficit on the road to become bowl eligible for the first time since 1995 and on the cusp of their first bowl invite since 87. The game was essentially won via a crazy scrambling shoulda-been-sacked 34-yard pass by Brogan Roback to the 1-foot line. It was a Week 10 game but happened nearly a week ago via the early week #MACtion schedule. I dont care. This turnaround by the Eagles deserves all the attention it can get.The Guy You Should Know About But Probably Dont: Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina. Jones hauled in a dozen catches in the Pirates loss to SMU but has now moved to within eight catches of setting the NCAA career receptions record of 387. That mark is held by his former teammate and current Atlanta Falcon, Justin Hardy. Hes catching balls so fast our tweets cant keep up with the stats. The Team You Should Know About But Probably Dont: Old Dominion. Less than a decade ago, the ODU football program didnt exist. It was only three seasons ago when Bobby Wilders team made the jump to FBS and Conference USA. Now the Monarchs are 7-3, bowl eligible and, though its not likely, still in contention for the C-USA East title. The Game You Should Be Psyched For But Probably Arent: USF at SMU, Saturday, 7 p.m. ET. Just two seasons ago, the SMU Mustangs won one game and the Bottom 10 title. Last year they won twice. Now they are 5-5 and on the cusp of their first bowl berth since 2012 and just their fifth postseason trip since the 1984 death penalty handed down by the NCAA. Meanwhile, the Bulls, who won two games four years ago, are 8-2 but walking a thin sheet of American conference ice. They need to win out and hope that Temple, the team that handed them their only conference loss, stumbles against Tulane and/or ECU so they can win the American East and a title game date, likely against Navy. Are there playoff implications? No. But are there big implications for a pair of programs clawing their way back to the good old days? Absolutely. By the way, not to brag, but last week in this space I told you to keep an eye on Pitt at Clemson ... OK, yeah, Im totally bragging.Extra Point: Speaking of death penalties, my colleague and friend Paul Finebaum was on College GameDay Saturday morning and spoke some very strong words about the ongoing situation at Baylor. As a father or, heck, just as a compassionate human being, you can disagree with the punishment that Paul suggested, but you cant disagree with the passion behind it. See it for yourself here.? Tests revealed the extent of damage, according to the person who spoke Wednesday on the condition of anonymity because only coach Jim McElwain is authorized to discuss Floridas injuries. A fourth-year junior from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Riles started the first six games in 2015 before getting supplanted in the lineup. ESPNs Brian Campbell has your recap for the WWE Universal championship match at Roadblock: End of the Line, and Sean Coyle provides his in-depth ratings for the showdown between champion?Kevin Owens?and United States champion?Roman ReignsWWE Universal Championship: Kevin Owens def. Brad Richardson Jersey . Roman Reigns via disqualification (23:20)Owens and?Chris Jericho?reignited their friendship just in time to keep the WWE Universal championship around Owens waist -- but it was a different reunion that left the biggest lasting?impact at Roadblock: End of the Line.In the final WWE pay-per-view of 2016, Jericho interrupted Owens title defense against Reigns by hitting Owens with a Codebreaker. It looked as if the final strands of their friendship had frayed, but after Owens was declared the winner by disqualification, Jericho handed him the belt and helped his former best friend up -- proving the attack was a premediated way to save Owens from defeat. The twist ending caused?Seth Rollins, who had overcome unwanted intervention from Owens earlier in the night to defeat Jericho, to make a run-in to ringside. Rollins joined Reigns,?his former teammates with The Shield, to take part in a rampage that left behind a stunned crowd at the PPG Paints Arena crowd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Rollins and Reigns embarked on a vicious assault of Jericho that ended with a power bomb through a table at ringside. Then, as Owens limped up the ramp in an attempt to escape, Rollins caught up to him before he joined Reigns for a second Shield power bomb, this time catapulting Owens through the announce table on the stage. The crowd showered them with boos as two of WWEs top babyfaces engaged in heel activity with such an unrepentant nature that it felt like a possible double turn. The wild ending overshadowed a physical main event of the Raw-exclusive PPV, that saw Reigns routinely kick out of anything Owens hit him with.Owens recorded his first near-fall when he countered a superplex attempt from Reigns by connecting with an inverted suplex of his own off the top rope. Owens went on to land a pair of frog splashes onto Reigns outside the ring, with the second one causing the announce table to break. After Reigns just barely beat the 10-count and rolled into the ring, Owens landed a third frog splash, this time from the top rope, as Reigns kicked out again. Moments later, Owens connected with his finishing move, a pop-up power bomb, for another near fall as Reigns snuck his foot onto the bottom rope.Just as Owens entered the ring with his title, looking to use it as a weapon, Reigns caught him with a spear, which led to Jericho intercepting his pin attempt and bringing the final pay-per-view match of 2017 to a close. MINSK, Belarus -- The acting head of Europes top Olympic body said Friday that its president, Patrick Hickey, should be allowed to leave Brazil and return to Ireland because his health is deteriorating and he needs an urgent heart operation.Hickey is not permitted to leave Brazil, where he was arrested two months ago during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics on ticket scalping charges and awaits a possible trial. Selling tickets at above face value is illegal in Brazil, and authorities promised before the Olympics to enforce the law.Hickey, who has denied wrongdoing, has temporarily stepped down from all his Olympic positions pending a resolution of his case. He was president of the European Olympic Committees, head of Irelands national Olympic Committee and a member of the International Olympic Committees powerful executive board.I am in contact with him personally, acting EOC president Janez Kocijancic told The Associated Press in Minsk. Hes 71. Hes not in the best health. I think that the first step should be that he returns home for the heart surgery and the treatment. In further procedures, I hope that he will have the possibility to prove his innocence, Kocijancic added. The IOC said it was not contributing toward Hickeys defense, but also asked for his release on health grounds. It goes without saying that the I?C fully respects the laws and all judicial procedures prevailing in Brazil, the IOC said in a statement to the AP. But the health of Mr. Hickey is giving the IOC great concern, and has seriously deteriorated over the past weeks. Mr. Hickey requires immediate special treatment in relation to his condition.Needless to say that the IOC cannot elaborate on medical details. However, the IOC understands that it would be preferable that the needed treatment is administered in Ireland, the IOC added. In Rio de Janeiro, prosecutor Marcos Kac told AP that a trial date still had not been set and offered few details. As soon as the trial starts, we can give more information, he said. The law firm defending Hickey -- Kamenetz and Marcolini -- said in an email that we do not comment about ongoing casses. Lawson Crouse Jersey. The Irish Independent newspaper published a photo of Hickey arriving at a court in Rio on Thursday, registering as part of the condition of his bail. The newspaper said he did not speak as he entered the judicial proceedings. In a previous statement, Hickey told the newspaper: I intend to face all the charges and to fight each and every one of them. This has been a life-changing experience for me, my wife, my four children and my five grandchildren and my priority is to recover my health and see my family as soon as possible, he said.Kocijancic, the acting EOC president, said he believes Hickey is innocent of the charges. We studied all the relevant material and from all that we know, he is innocent, he didnt commit any crime, Kocijancic said.I dont know if hes guilty or not but I think its wrong, the things that have been done to him, his rights as a citizen, Danish Olympic Committee general secretary Morten Moelholm Hansen said.Even Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko weighed in to defend Hickey. There is no proof of any offense, he said, calling the accusations made up.Hickey is among 10 people facing charges of ticket scalping, conspiracy and ambush marketing related to the Olympics. He was arrested on Aug. 17 during the Rio Games in a dawn raid on his Rio hotel room.Hickeys passport has been confiscated, and he must remain in Brazil until the case is concluded.Police have said that Hickey plotted with businessmen to transfer tickets illegally from a sports company called Pro 10 to hospitality provider THG Sports, which was a non-authorized vendor and allegedly sold them for very high fees. Police investigators said the scheme was planned to bring in $3 million. The head of THG Sports, Kevin James Mallon, was arrested on Aug. 5 in the case, but was set free, like Hickey. He faces the same charges and must remain in Brazil.---AP Sports Writer Stephen Wade and Associated Press writer Adriana Gomez in Rio de Janeiro contributed to this report.
