Loft on Monday faced an onslaught of criticism on social media after the apparel retailer revealed in comments that it will phase out plus sizes. Customers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter lambasted the brand for limiting sizes, with many noting that it leaves many U.S. women unable to shop there.Get more news about cheap Plus Size Bottoms for women, you can vist 5xsize.com!

The brand and new owner Sycamore Partners didn’t immediately return requests for more information. But the brand said on Twitter and elsewhere: "Unfortunately, due to ongoing business challenges, we have had to make some difficult decisions, which does impact our plus collection. Come fall, our size offering will be 00-18/XXS - XXL. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment."

Private equity firm Sycamore last year bought the Loft, Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant and Lou & Grey brands for $540 million during a bankruptcy auction. In its explanation to disappointed customers regarding its decision to abandon more inclusive sizing, Loft cites "business challenges," likely referring to the complexity of producing clothing in a range of sizes.

For proper fit, for example, patterns must be graded properly for smaller or larger items, beyond a middle range that the industry deems "regular." Upscale workwear startup M.M. LaFleur last year provided a similar rationale when it said it would scale back its own offer for plus customers.

That reasoning ignores a significant opportunity, however. Women's plus-sized apparel represents a $9.8 billion market this year, according to data from IBIS World. The firm designated U.S. adults between 46 and 64 years old as "a key demographic for plus-size women's clothing" and said the number of adults "aged 20 to 64 is expected to increase in 2020, representing a potential opportunity for the industry."Moreover, Gen Z consumers increasingly demand size inclusivity as well as sustainability on the part of brands, according to research from retail market intelligence firm Edited. That may be leading some to boost their offer. The number of new plus or curve styles at mass retailers rose by 11% year over year in 2020, though these items still represent "a minimal proportion of the total offer delivered, expanding to 12% compared to 11% in 2019," Edited said.

Athleta, the activewear brand from Gap Inc. that is one of that conglomerate's best performers, earlier this year announced the expansion of its inclusive sizing to 350 styles across its collection. For Spring 2021, 70% of its activewear collection will be available in sizes 1X-3X (or 18-26), the brand said in January. More, the brand is avoiding what Edited called "passive aggressive" language in marketing to plus women that emphasizes "flattering" or "slimming" styling, sticking to concepts like "confidence" to market all sizes.

WoW Classic rumoured to get The Burning Crusade expansion this year

To cap off 2020, Blizzard released the Naxxramas raid for WoW Classic, setting things up for The Burning Crusade expansion to be introduced sometime in 2021. One notable WoW YouTuber, Staysafe TV, recently claimed to have leaked details from a “trusted source”.To get more news about buying gold classic wow, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

According to the source, WoW Classic’s Burning Crusade expansion update should be announced at BlizzCon, with a beta beginning shortly after, followed by a pre-patch in April and then a full release as early as May 2021.

Given that much of the WoW team has been focussed on the Shadowlands expansion in 2020 though, these early date estimates might be a bit optimistic. Either way though, we should keep our eyes on BlizzCon Online for official announcements from Blizzard – the event takes place between the 19th and 20th of February.
Without getting into the massive shift in raid composition meta from Classic to The Burning Crusade, which we will cover in another article, players can expect to see Blood Elf Paladins and Draenei Shamans everywhere and rather soon into the expansion content with guilds boosting the “new” class to get their precious raid buff utility. Now that each faction has access to all available classes, we will no longer see the unique raid compositions used by Alliance or Horde, though this was also the case during the original release of the game as well.

While we can speculate about ideal raid compositions in The Burning Crusade, this will largely depend on what patch of the expansion players receive. The early Heroic dungeons and raids were exceedingly difficult and finely tuned compared to Classic, so while right now guilds can bring basically whichever classes they want to clear raids, The Burning Crusade may require far more min/maxing to achieve the same results.

How Blizzard decides to roll out The Burning Crusade also needs to consider the aggressive way that players treat the economy compared to the original game. With the knowledge of exactly what items are needed in Classic by top guilds during every Phase, players have dominated the economy in ways that have not always been healthy for casual players, such as with the Black Lotus Mafia, which readers can click here to learn about.

The Burning Crusade would be no different. For example, we already know that Jewelcrafting will be the “new” profession added to the game, and in preparation, players are already stock piling ore to max out the skill in little time and sell in the Auction House. Unlike the original game, players will enter the The Burning Crusade with huge amounts, and this may be one reason that Blizzard is considering making players start new characters at level 1 or 58 on new servers, armed with all the information they need about what to do in the endgame, but with the playing field more even for casual or newer players who are only starting with the next expansion.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic Is True Nostalgia

I fought against resubbing for this. I just haven’t been into World of Warcraft like I once was. Don’t misunderstand, I was an avid player for many years and devoted way more time than I care to admit into building up these characters, especially around the release of this first major content update. I began playing the game in Vanilla, just before the Naxxramas update started. There was that rush to reach level 58 so I could join my friends in the extended content and I loved the new races. The Burning Crusade is my favorite expansion. It’s the first one where I was there from the beginning, hooked already, eager to approach the new zones, and actually armed with the abilities and knowledge of how to conquer them. I was ready for Outlands, no matter what Illidan said, I was prepared. I held out for as long as I could, fought the urges, but the call to fight was too strong and The Burning Crusade Classic gripped me once again, but would it be the same?To get more news about buy wow classic tbc gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

I made a few decisions before starting to make sure this experience was right and truly classic. When the original TBC launched I rushed to the new zones only to realize they were overcrowded and difficult to navigate, so I decided that I’d just start with a fresh character, a blood elf. This seemed like a smart decision because those areas had to be less occupied with the new content so full, right? So this time around, I did the same thing. Instead of bringing over a WoW Classic character I had been working on, I’d start brand new. I also didn’t download any addons to help with my progression, because I didn’t use them back then. Most importantly, I didn’t start right when TBC Classic went live on June 1. I waited a couple of days to let people level out of the areas I’d be hitting up. Finally, I put on my best 2007-ish techno playlist that I used to jam with while doing PVP and went to town on grinding.

It was all so welcoming. I rewatched the opening cutscene, felt a tiny chill, and listened to the narrator tell me about the blood elves and their addiction to magic. I looked over the gorgeous lands, impeccable architecture, stunning clothes, and just took in all of the colors and lush environments, right up to The Dead Scar. That’s when I remembered the darker side of the people I loved and their trapped Naaru they were feeding off of. I could feel that tingle of lore inspiring me again as I began questing, took in the familiar ambiance, and even found the posh complaints of my character telling me he didn’t have enough mana to be comforting. I picked the paladin class to reflect my previous choice when I originally played, but would be smart enough to know not to try and level with the holy specialization this time, for my own sanity.

What surprised me was how much I remembered about these quests, having several of them memorized without even having to read the text. My fingers were moving in this kind of serene autopilot and I find the blood elf starting area so relaxing and peaceful, even while slaughtering everything I came across. Many of my decisions seemed to have paid off. Several of the quests that would normally have caused me grief, because of so many other players being present or ridiculous drop rates, seemed to be completely in my favor this time. Painful tasks like “Lost Armaments” went by much quicker and I even found one particularly egregious quest to be so easy that I thought it had to be a trick.

“Felendren the Banished” is one of the last quests in the first small area for new blood elves and it can be a nightmare if not in a group or a little luck is involved. On the opening night of the original TBC expansion, I spent almost an hour at the top of this tower trying to kill the betrayer known as Felendren, swinging my sword with so many others, just hoping to land the first hit so I could claim the victory, take his head and be done with the assignment. Groups were forming but I couldn’t get in one, people were getting lucky with ranged attacks, but I was a melee character. It seemed hopeless and I almost left the tower to return later, but I finally had my chance. It’s a moment of gameplay burned into my memory for the pain involved and elation upon turning that severed head over and getting my XP. This time through, the place was almost eerily quiet and I only had one other person to contend with. I almost invited them to a group, to do it together, but I felt the old scars and struck first—I’m sorry.

I have run into quite a few people while out in the Eversong Woods and Ghostlands and though I’m not usually a fan of others in my video games, I realized it was part of the experience. Back when I used to play I had a lot of really cool guildmates: Fariequeene, Ulik, Gore, Zyn, Eli, people I called friends. This wasn’t the same, in fact, there was very little communication other than about where a particular target was, but it was nice and I noticed a distinct lack of assholes, which was different, pleasant. The population for the areas I was playing in these past few days has been nearly perfect and from what I’ve seen over the various channels and in major cities, there are enough people there to make some new acquaintances and get some dungeons done.

ow the West Creek Conservancy is ensuring green space access in Northeast Ohio

Derek Schafer: On paper, our mission is to enrich the lives of all people in Northeast Ohio by conserving natural habitats, restoring the ecological value of our region’s lands and waters, and expanding opportunities to connect people from all cultures to experience nature and discover our great outdoors. To get more latest news about westcreek, you can visit shine news official website.

It is quite a loaded mission statement, but it boils down to protect, restore and connect. Protecting land and water resources or other assets within the community; restoring ecological integrity or functionality; and the connection can be a social connection to the land and water, or a physical connection, linking trails and greenways.
Derek: Our land and water resources are our infrastructure; they are the thread in which our community operates and is held together. Land conservation is the underpinning of our region and is the natural corridor that filters our air, treats our water, provides recreation opportunities and allows us all to connect to the natural world

Land and water conservation is also imperative to a sustainable and thriving region. You cannot have spaces that are only accessible from cars; you need spaces that can be equitably accessed. We are a part of that ecosystem and we should not be an adverse impact to it – it should be rather symbiotic. You can absolutely put grey infrastructure and green infrastructure together; there shouldn’t be a reason why we separate these things.
Derek: The Irishtown Bend in downtown Cleveland. We were brought in as a partner to help acquire real estate between West 25th & Columbus Road, Detroit Avenue, and the river. Our purpose was to assemble the land in a way that the Port Authority could initiate the stabilization of the hillside. We were also concerned with how to properly assemble the land so that the other partners can do their part as well. It was a real synergy of how partnerships could work together.

Another project that I am very anticipatory about is a little outside of Cleveland, in Rootstown, Ohio. We’re formalizing the acquisition of a Tamarack bog, which was the last place in Ohio where the plant Labrador Tea was found. For decades, multiple agencies, entities and nonprofits, have tried to acquire this 170-acre piece along Breakneck Creek. With the help of the expertise within this organization, we were able to get this piece under contract and leverage the funding to acquire it. In addition to this land, we have reached out to Holden Arboretum and Klyn Nurseries, who we believe to have the last cuttings of Labrador Tea. Our goal with this is to bring it full circle and reintroduce an endangered species to a site that was up for private development.

In addition to these two tasks, at the end of 2020, we also closed and acquired the last two remaining parcels of land that make the western and eastern connection to the West Creek Reservation and Greenway Trail System. These are properties that we have been trying to acquire since around 2005. These 25 acres of land may not sound like a lot, but when you have 20,000 residents who live within one mile, that is a big deal.
Derek: The best way to describe the funding from the Cleveland Foundation is to say it has served as a catalyst for us to leverage millions of dollars, expand partnerships, and internal capacity, which overwhelmingly has helped us provide a niche service throughout NEO. More specifically, we were able to solidify the support from the Ohio EPA directly to the Central Lake Erie Basin Collaborative because we were able to show that our distribution of work was equitably dispersed throughout a dozen different groups covering hundreds of square miles. In essence, this funding was catalytic to a perpetual generational impact.

Derek: I would like for us to be a sustainable organization, fulfilling a niche set of services throughout Northeast Ohio. Our impact cannot be measured by acreage, nor can it be measured by the number of staff members. It can be measured by the lands we protect, how we are protecting them, and for whom are we making such efforts.

I would also want for us to continue to be a catalyst in Northeast Ohio for land and water conservation and a tool for partners and stakeholders throughout the region so we can more sustainably protect, restore and activate these spaces that are accessible throughout our region.

Yelp puts trust and safety in the spotlight

Yelp released its very first trust and safety report this week, with the goal of explaining the work that it does to crack down on fraudulent and otherwise inaccurate or unhelpful content. To get more yelp latest news, you can visit shine news official website.

With its focus on local business reviews and information, you might think Yelp would be relatively free of the misinformation that other social media platforms struggle with. But of course, Yelp reviews are high stakes in their own way, since they can have a big impact on a business’ bottom line.

Like other online platforms, Yelp relies on a mix of software and human curation. On the software side, one of the main tasks is sorting reviews into recommended and not recommended. Group Product Manager for Trust and Safety Sudheer Someshwara told me that a review might not be recommended because it appears to be written by someone with a conflict of interest, or it might be solicited by the business, or it might come from a user who hasn’t posted many reviews before and “we just don’t know enough information about the user to recommend those reviews to our community.”“We take fairness and integrity very seriously,” Someshwara said. “No employee at Yelp has the ability to override decisions the software has made. That even includes the engineers.”

So the company says that last year, users posted more than 18.1 million reviews, of which 4.6 million (about 25%) were not recommended by the software. Someshwara noted that even when a review is not recommended, it’s not removed entirely — users just have to seek it out in a separate section.

Removals do happen, but that’s one of the places where the user operations team comes in. As Vice President of Legal, Trust & Safety Aaron Schur explained, “We do make it easy for businesses as well as consumers to flag reviews. Every piece of content that’s flagged in that way does get reviewed by a live human to decide whether it should should be removed for violating our guidelines.”

Yelp says that last year, about 710,000 reviews (4%) were removed entirely for violating the company’s policies. Of those, more than 5,200 were removed for violating the platform’s COVID-19 guidelines (among other things, they prohibit reviewers from claiming they contracted COVID from a business, or from complaining about mask requirements or criticizing a business had to close due to safety regulations). Another 13,300 were removed between May 25 and the end of the year for threats, lewdness, hate speech or other harmful content.

“Any current event that takes place will find its way onto Yelp,” acknowledged Vice President of User Operations Noorie Malik. “People turn to Yelp and other social media platforms to have a voice.”But expressing political beliefs can conflict with what Malik said is Yelp’s “guiding principle,” namely “genuine, first-hand experience.” So Yelp has built software to detect unusual activity on a page and will also add a Consumer Alert when it believes there are “egregious attempts to manipulate ratings and reviews.” For example, it says there was a 206% increase in media-fueled incidents year over year.

It’s not that you can’t express political opinions in your reviews, but the review has to come from firsthand experience, rather than being prompted by reading a negative article or an angry tweet about the business. Sometimes, Malik added, that means the team is “removing content with a point of view that we agree with.”

One example that illustrates this distinction: Yelp will take down reviews that seem driven by media coverage suggesting that a business owner or employee behaved in a racist manner, but at the same time, it also labeled two businesses in December 2020 with a “Business Accused of Racism” alert reflecting “resounding evidence of egregious, racist actions from a business owner or employee.”

Best friend necklaces will always be the best way to celebrate a friendship. Whether it’s something small or even a larger statement piece to share your BFF love with the world, best friend necklaces are a great way to feel appreciated. If you’re ever stumped for gift ideas that show your ride-or-die how much you care, get them one of these sweet charms, which is the perfect way to say “you’re the Ann to my Leslie” (or “you’re the Anna to my Elsa” if you guys are really into Disney characters). To get more news about Custom name bracelet, you can visit koalaprint.com official website.

Think you’re too old for necklaces like these? Think again. Sure, they may have been more popular back in middle school when stating your best friend was more of a “status,” but it’s always appropriate to acknowledge the people you love. Plus, they’re no longer just available at Claire’s. (To be fair, they’ll always be the top destination when it comes to fun mall jewelry.)
If you’re looking for a good set of best friend necklaces to let your bestie know how you feel — or maybe your kiddo wants to share the love with their fave friend — here are some of the best, in every style imaginable. Because when it comes to your best friend, you don’t want to disappoint. Happen to have more than one best friend? Well, luckily jewelers are prepped for that possibility, as well; we found sets for groups of 3 and 4 friends, too.

If you like simple jewelry, this may be your taste. While they don’t look identical, that doesn’t matter — your best friend will know what it means when it’s given. Amazon Reviewer Chloe R likes the fact that this necklace can be worn any day of the week, even at work. “They can be worn independently, but they obviously look so cute when you’re both wearing them,” she wrote. “I also love pairing mine with other necklaces for a layered look.”

Are flowers more your BFF’s thing? Then this necklace is a lovely way to say “you’re special.” We like that you can customize them by getting letter charms of your initials (you can even wear each others’.) This BFF necklace style is also less obvious than traditional designs, in case your friend isn’t a fan of the typical “be/fri” and “st/ends” models.

These are also very cute and don’t necessarily scream “best friends necklaces.” It’s a great way to showcase trust and loyalty. Plus, it’s a cute design altogether. If you and your best friend go way back and were friends since childhood, this set would be perfect.

These tiny little elephants may bring both of you closer together. Elephants often symbolize loyalty, so they’re a meaningful charm for your matching friendship necklace. “The charms are tiny and beautifully detailed,” said Amazon Reviewer Lampus, who got the unicorn set that’s also offered (there are lots of other designs, too). “Shipping was lightning fast and they came in adorable kraft envelopes with a heart closure. This is an incredible buy!”

If your BFF is the wind beneath your wings (or maybe you just watched Game of Thrones together), then this matching best friend’s necklace is was practically made for you. When joined together, the wings form a heart. When not together, they look like simple necklaces on their own. This pair comes with one silver and one black wing, and out of all the necklaces on this list, these may be the most whimsical.

Sometimes, all you need is the infinity sign to show how much you’re devoted to your friend. If you truly think your friendship with last throughout your entire life, this is a sweet way to showcase your feelings. These necklaces are 16k gold plated — one white gold, one yellow gold.
