How to read technical drawings

Understanding how to read part drawings is essential to designing a product. Technical drawings, also called mechanical drawings, mechanical working drawings or manufacturing drawings, provide the details needed to manufacture the product being depicted. To get more news about mechanical cad, you can visit shine news official website.
Manufacturing technical drawings are not replacements for 3D CADs, which are excellent representations of products. But they do not provide the information that technical drawings give you. The technical-drawing definition states that it is a precise and detailed drawing. Below is the drawing for a tapered cap, which protects profiles from damage and debris, moisture and liquid ingress during manufacturing, storage and transportation.

Technical-drawing standards
Let’s start with the technical drawing information box on the right-hand side. This is a technical drawing title block example, and tells you the product designer, which in this case is Essentra Components.
All dimensions measured in mm
The figures in the table at the left of the box are in millimetres.

2. Do not scale
This is standard in engineering diagrams and means that you shouldn’t take measurements from the drawing itself. The stated dimensions give you the information you need.

3. Linear Tolerance
Another standard piece of information. Once manufactured, all parts vary slightly in their actual measurements. Linear tolerance is the amount of error acceptable in the dimensions of the product.

Understand how to read tolerances. In the example above, there are three columns. Each column indicates the tolerance of a dimension, depending on the number of decimal places that the dimension has. So the column headed 0 means a dimension with no decimal places, while 0.0 is a dimension with one decimal place and 0.00, a dimension with two decimal places.

As an example, let’s take the dimensions for d1 in the drawing, which is 11.3 mm. The size puts it in the 10-30 mm range. To discover the tolerance, we go to the column headed 0.0, because 11.3 has just one decimal place. The tolerance is therefore more or less 0.20 mm.

4. Third angle projection
The engineering title block also includes the symbol for third-angle projection, meaning that’s the projection in which the cap is shown. Only the U.S., UK, Japan, Australia and Canada use third-angle projection. All other countries use first-angle projection. As you can see, they are mirror images of each other.Third-angle projection tells an engineer that the top view of the product comes above the front view, and the right-side view is drawn to the right side of the elevation. As a comparison, first-angle projection the top view comes below the front view and the right-side view is drawn to left side of the elevation.

5. Angular tolerance
The angular tolerance of a dimension. Like linear tolerances, this tells you how much error is allowed.

6. Unspecified Radii
When radii of bends or fillets (rounding of a part’s corner) are the same, or if any radius is predominant, it’s standard not to draw the radii dimensions on the image. Instead, it’s noted as unspecified radii in the engineering drawing title box.

7. Draft-Angle
A requirement for injection-molding designs. Calculated in degrees, the draft angle is measured from the vertical axis of the mold to account for shrinkage, which is common with thermoplastics. Note, the material shown in the box is LDPE, a popular thermoplastic.

Robots are handwriting notes for Maine businesses

In a business world where streaming services, social media and online markets have supplanted in-person interactions, handwritten note cards are making a comeback but in a modern way.To get more news about Robot Subscription, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.

Many are being written by robots.

The robot-written cards that mimic human handwriting let businesses send more personalized messages to lots of customers at the same time, and far more quickly and accurately than if they were penned by hand. Several Maine businesses using the company Handwrytten said the notes stand out to clients who receive them, helping retain customers and gaining new ones.

It’s a really nice way to break through the clutter and make an individual connection with someone that’s going to be much more meaningful,” Alden Millar, digital director at Portland-based marketing company Space Pilot Digital, said.

Millar’s company uses the Handwrytten service on behalf of its clients, to help them develop and grow social media presence. He looks for social media influencers who have posted about a client’s product and mails a box of products to them, along with a robot-written card. The card arriving at their office stands out among all the web traffic they get.

His company has about 100 notes per month sent for each of its 15 clients. Millar estimates that having the robot print them saves about 10 hours per client per month over handwriting them. He can choose different writing styles depending on what each client prefers. The cards average $3.75 each plus postage.

Handwrytten, a company based in Arizona, has a warehouse full of 175 robots that scribble out letters to business associates, birthday cards to parents and holiday cards to friends.

The robots write each card individually, based on wording from the customer, and mail it. They use a Pilot pen and try to mimic the look and feel of human handwriting. Millar and others using the service can either choose from 23 handwriting styles the company offers or submit their own handwriting style, which the robotic system analyzes and replicates. Users can design their own card online or choose from more than 100 the company offers.

What are the benefits of a Full Suspension Electric Mountain Bike?

When it comes to electric mountain bikes, full suspension electric mountain bikes should be the ones to discuss. This type of ebike has front suspension fork and rear suspension, so it is called full suspension electric mountain bike. So what is a full suspension electric mountain bike for? Check out the rest of the content below to find the answer. To get more news about full suspension electric mountain bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

4 Reasons to choose a full suspension electric mountain bike

1. Cost more but worth it

Compared to regular electric bikes, full suspension electric mountain bikes can be more expensive. Prices start around $3000. It is not unusual as this type of ebike offers good performance in various terrains. That is, a full suspension electric mountain bike can be suitable for all types of riding, such as mountain biking, city trips, or trips. Reasonable price with a huge upgrade, it sounds worth it.To get more news about electric bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

2. Best for technical trails

One of the biggest reasons to buy a full suspension electric mountain bike is that it is almost always the best for technical trails. For those who like to ride rocks and bumps to experience the thrill, a full suspension electric mountain bike is best suited. This type of ebike is specially built with front and rear suspension, providing full shock absorption. It enables the rider to make a smooth ride and get better handling and control.

3. Offers a comfortable ride

As mentioned above, full-suspension eclectic mountain bikes provide all-round shock absorption. They can absorb a lot of bumps and reduce vibrations, which may be transmitted to the whole body without a full suspension system. Eliminating these shocks and vibrations can help keep riders from getting tired so they can ride more freely and comfortably.

4. Get more speed

Bumps and vibrations during road riding greatly affect the speed of electric mountain bikes. And with rear and front suspension, full suspension electric mountain bike can solve this problem effectively, so that the speed does not drop. In addition, full suspension electric mountain bikes are usually equipped with powerful motors. This is the key to the ability to run at higher speeds.

Above are four reasons to buy a full suspension electric mountain bike. However, they are not the only option. There are hardtail electric mountain bikes, which only have front suspension. And it can still be chosen for several reasons:

Low maintenance: Hardtail electric mountain bikes have fewer parts, which is the main reason they require easier and simpler maintenance. However, this does not mean that treatment is not necessary. The basics are still needed. Learn more about Magicycle ebike maintenance tips.

Mokwheel’s Latest E-Bike Can Charge Itself And All Your Gadgets

No matter how you look at it, it’s hard to fault electric bicycles for the accessible mobility they provide, especially for folks living in the urban setting. However, for those who want to go off the grid, an e-bike can be a rather difficult option to consider. For starters, you’re going to need a constant power supply to keep your batteries juiced up. As it turns out, Mokwheel has developed a solution, and it harnesses the power of the sun.To get more news about ebike battery charging, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Mokwheel, a Canadian company that has been around since 2014 first started out producing electric scooters. However, the company’s founder, Denny L., wanted to push the envelope of the good old e-bike’s capabilities. The result? The Basalt, an electric motorcycle with its own power station. Technology surrounding batteries has indeed advanced leaps and bounds in the last few years. Nowadays, it’s possible to fully charge an EV battery in under one hour, thanks to the latest and greatest fast charging tech—but what about solar? To get more news about Fat Tire Electric Bikes, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

In the case of the Mokwheel Basalt, it’s packing a rather hefty 960-watt-hour battery pack, and in order to charge it up using the solar power generator, it makes use of a specially developed inverter. The inverter is also needed to charge up your devices such as your smartphone, action camera, and other gadgets. As for charging the bike itself, the kit comes with a set of large solar panels that can be set up virtually anywhere, which means that you won’t have to worry about setting up your camp in an area with constant power supply.
As for performance spes, the Basalt packs a 750W rear hub mounted motor that’s claimed to have a torque output of upwards of 90 Nm. In the brand’s promo video, Mokwheel claims that the Basalt can effortlessly climb hills of up to a 20-degree gradient. This surely opens doors to casual cyclists who otherwise wouldn’t have the physical capabilities of exploring trails and backroads to even more adventure. That said, the Basalt is by no means a featherweight, and tips the scales at 36 kilograms.

Now, you may be wondering how much a tech-laden e-bike like this will set you back. Well, surprisingly, not that much. The Basalt alone retails for $2,000 USD, with the inverter costing an additional $400, and the solar panels yet another $600. As such, the total bill for this go-anywhere, self-sustaining electric bicycle is just $3,000 USD—pretty good value for money, considering the brand’s claims of unlimited range.

The fastest, most massive folding electric bike I’ve ever tested

Generally speaking, folding electric bikes are usually on the smaller and lighter end of the spectrum. They tend to prioritize compactness over performance, which makes sense for a folder. At least that was until the Wallke H6 came around and flipped the script, saying “Screw your compactness. We’re a crazy fast e-bike that just happens to fold in half!”To get more news about fastest ebike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

The Wallke H6 doesn’t pull any punches. It may have smaller diameter 20″ wheels, but this is still 90 pounds (41 kg) of e-bike coming at you fast.
And that’s not hyperbole. This thing gets up to a claimed 32 mph (51.5 km/h) – though I clocked it with GPS at 31 mph (50 km/h). Either way you slice you slice it though, that’s pretty darn fast. And it doesn’t take very long to hit those speeds either. To get more news about fat tire electric bike for sale, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

It’s a big bike with a lot of attitude. But it’s also got a lot of interesting parts on it too, from a powerful motor to a pair of long-range batteries.

Check out my testing of the Wallke H6 folding fat tire e-bike in my video below, then read on for the entire scoop!
I’m no stranger to folding e-bikes from Wallke, but this one takes the cake when it comes to excess.

The powerful motor gets paired with a powerful controller that takes full advantage of that big battery capacity to offer impressive acceleration.

Whether you’re rocking the throttle or pedal assist, high power is available at your fingertips (or toes).

But just as important as a high-power e-bike that gets up to 30+ mph speeds is a bike that can also stop. And these hydraulic disc brakes on what look like motorcycle disc rotors accomplish that goal with flying colors.Add in that bright and colorful LED display between the hydraulic disc brake levers, and you’ve got a very nicely outfitted cockpit.

I will say that the bars felt a bit higher for me than I might have liked. They weren’t ape hangers, but they definitely had a cruiser-esque feel to them with my hands up higher than I normally like. I got used to it pretty quickly though.
In fact that whole bike feels bigger than it looks, and it puts you in a nice, upright seating position that gives you a tall view of the road ahead of you.

With both front and rear suspension, there’s a lot of moving parts down beneath you that help lift that frame up and give you a bit of height. For shorter riders, keep in mind that the suspension seat post limits just how low the seat can go. I’m 5’7″ and I had no problem with seat height, but shorter riders than me could start to run into issues. Wallke recommends a minimum rider height of 5’4″, for reference.
The star of the show here (and part of what contributes to the extra heft of the Wallke H6) is the pair of batteries. Adding up to 1,680Wh, there’s a ton of battery capacity on this bike.

They humorously rate the bike for 170 miles of range. Except that figure isn’t quite so laughable when you realize that works out to nearly 10 Wh/mile, which is a reasonable consumption level for a fit rider using pedal assist.

Call me crazy, but I’m guessing most people who buy this bike aren’t going to shoehorn into this “fit rider” classification, at least not the type of rider that can pedal an e-bike for 170 miles.

So if you’re rocking throttle-only riding, then expect a range of likely 50-75 miles depending on how fast you go. That’s still a super long range for a throttle-controlled e-bike, and is only possible thanks to that massive amount of battery spread across two large battery packs.

Glue traps meant to capture invasive pest now poses threat to birds

The spotted lanternfly, which is native to Asia, is not only pervasive and invasive but deadly to plants and first appeared in New York and New Jersey a few years ago. That is because the bug feeds on plants and trees, causing devastating damage to crops and forests. To get more news about Insect Glue Trap, you can visit senpinghz.com official website.

One way to control the lanternfly's population is to squish it on sight. Another way is to set up glue traps. However, The Raptor Trust's Chris Soucy says using glue traps can put birds at risk, too.

"The glue traps are very effective at catching the spotted lanternfly," Soucy said. "We've seen a real, real increase over the last couple of years of birds stuck on these glue traps on trees."

He said the birds caught alongside any lanternflies are also the insects' few predators in this area. The birds are drawn to the traps because of the immobilized invasive bugs."If you must use the sticky tape traps (though we advise alternative methods), you can make them somewhat safer for birds and small mammals by wrapping a cover of small mesh wire over the tape at least an inch away from the tape," The Raptor Trust states in a Facebook post. "The wire mesh needs to be small enough to keep birds out, but the lanternflies can still get in. Half-inch 'hardware cloth' is a good option."

Top 5 Essential Items For Your Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)

First Aid Kits come in various levels of sophistication. As such, emergency medicine is always a central topic of concern for those prepping for emergencies or surviving in the outdoors. People who spend much time in the field will instruct that carrying a first aid kit is an essential item. Emergency preparedness literature also advises keeping a first aid kit in your home and car. However, before considering first aid items to carry, what are some general considerations concerning an individual first aid kit?To get more news about Профессиональный FАК, you can visit rusuntacmed.com.ru official website.

The first thing that should influence what you put in your first aid kit is your level of medical expertise. Have you received certified training in first aid or emergency care? Are you a person with general knowledge of medical care from personal experience? First aid kits that are available at a local store are for use by the general public. By contrast, some of the more sophisticated emergency first aid kits are for those with more specialized medical training. For example, if a person does not know how to take a manual blood pressure reading, then to have an analog blood pressure cuff and stethoscope in a kit is probably not wise. Not only is a person’s level of medical expertise an influence concerning the type of first aid kit to carry, but also what is the intended use for the first aid kit.

The Purpose of the First Aid Kit
The next thing that should influence what you put in your first aid kit is your intended purpose for your kit. The purpose of a first aid kit determines what kind of items are in the kit. For example, the two most common types of first aid kits are the general first aid and trauma aid. One will have a tourniquet in it while the other will not. A general first aid kit in the home or car will be different from one that is in your EDC bag. Therefore, it is essential to define the first-aid that you expect to render before deciding what to put in your kit. Thus, as one considers carrying a first aid kit, what are the top 5 essential items that should be in any first aid or trauma kit beyond adhesive bandages, such as band-aids?
1. Quick Clot Bandage
Quick Clot is a blood clotting hemostatic gauze that helps stop bleeding from severe wounds and cuts. Z-Medica, LLC is the company that produces the Quick Clot line of hemostatic bandages used by outdoorsman, emergency medical personnel, and the U.S Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. Quick Clot bandages have Kaolin. Kaolin promotes the clotting of human blood when applied to traumatic wounds. Hemostatic dressings are not practical for general use as a substitute for band-aids or other cloth bandages. The Quick Clot bandage to carry in an individual first-aid kit is the Advance Clotting Sponge by Adventure Medical Kits.

2. Antibiotic Ointment
Antibiotic ointment is a valuable item to carry in a first aid kit. This topical treatment comes in various sizes. The most practical size for an individual first aid kit is the single-use packet containing Bacitracin Zinc (400 units Bacitracin), Neomycin Sulfate (5mg)., and Polymyxin-B Sulfate (5000 units). An individual first aid kit should have 3-4 single-use antibiotic ointment packets at a minimum. A triple antibiotic ointment is only to treat minor cuts and scrapes on the skin to prevent bacterial infections within the wound. Please do not use it on other kinds of infections that require stronger antibiotic treatments such as viral infections of the internal organs. Larger first aid kits for a home or car should have a tube of antibiotic ointment as part of their contents.

3. Benadryl
Benadryl is an over-the-counter (OTC) antihistamine. Its purpose is to treat allergies, hay fever, and the common cold. In limited amounts, it can be used in an emergency to treat life-threatening allergic reactions until emergency medical personnel can treat the allergic reaction with more potent medications. Benadryl is the most commonly used OTC medication to treat minor environmental allergic reactions.

4. Bandage Scissors or Medical Shears
Bandage scissors or medical shears are a critical tool to carry in an individual first aid kit. Both items will allow for the cutting of clothing and gauze bandages while rendering first aid. The smaller instrument will fit better in smaller general use individual first aid kit. Medical shears should be in trauma kits, and larger individual first aid kits carried in a Bug-Out Bag or a vehicle emergency kit.

The Best Sex Toys For Partner Play

We often think of sex toys in terms of solo masturbation, but if you're not incorporating one of the best sex toys into your sexual repertoire with a partner, you could be missing out on a world of fun. To get more news about Masturbators, you can visit pinkkittytoys.com official website.

"Sex toys can enhance all sexual relationships―with yourself and with a partner, confirms Dr. Jess O'Reilly, sexologist and relationship expert at sex toy site Lovehoney(opens in new tab). "The mere presence of a sex toy often leads to new conversations about everything from desires and fantasies to boundaries and hesitations." And, as we all know, honesty and vulnerability enhances all relationships.

Sex toys can also bring a bit of spiciness to an otherwise bland sexual routine. If you're in a long-term relationship or if you're just looking to learn more about what makes you and your partner feel good, toys serve as an excellent (not to mention fun) teacher. "The novelty of a toy can also heighten passion, as it can offer a simple reminder to break your routine and try something new," Dr. O'Reilly agrees.

Still, whether you've never used a sex toy with a partner or just need to expand your inventory, it can be difficult to know where to begin—there are a lot of sex toys for couples out there. For that reason, we've rounded up some of the very best sex toys to bring to bed with your partner for your deepest connection yet. Many people become nervous or even defensive when it comes time to talk with a partner about bringing toys into the bedroom, but this initial conversation (or conversations) doesn't have to be so anxiety-inducing, so long as each partner is honest, empathetic, and open to listening.

"When broaching the topic of introducing toys with your partner, it’s important to talk about what and how you are feeling," says Ashton Egner(opens in new tab), communications manager at sex toy brand Kiiroo. "The key for any couple is communication. If you don’t talk about your sexual wants, needs, and desires your partner will never know that you want to incorporate toys into your sexual relationship."

Furthermore, it's important to be introspective about why you want to use sex toys during partner play. "Explaining why you think introducing toys into your relationship will ignite things in the bedroom will provide your partner with a better understanding of your desires."

Still nervous about bringing the topic up? Consider doing a bit of research before you put your thoughts and feelings out in the open. "Educating yourself with articles or podcasts from other people who have been through the same situation will help you go into the conversation with a background on why you may be feeling the way you do―decreasing the chances of your partner feeling negatively toward your request," Egner affirms. So you've done your thinking, performed your research, and had a wonderfully open conversation with your partner, which begs the question: What now?

"Once you’ve established what exactly you’re craving with your partner, the next step is to choose the type of toy that will please one or both of you," Egner suggests. "The first place to start is with something simple such as a vibrating toy, and if you like the sensation, start to look at the different types of toys available on the market today. We all have different bodies, and we all have different sensations that tease and please us. Once you are able to communicate that desire, it will be easier to start experimenting from there."If you have a clitoris, you're no stranger to the intense sensations that touching it can produce. It is, after all, the only human organ built first and foremost for pleasure! It's no wonder, then, why so stimulators and even penetrative toys are made with the clitoris in mind.

The most popular of these clitoris-focused toys are vibrators, but remember that not all vibrations are alike, and not all toys stimulate the clitoris in the same way! Egner encourages couples to explore what makes them feel best, both in terms of vibration type and where they like to be touched, before finally settling on a toy. "Once a couple has figured out if vibrations are something they enjoy, then they can start to explore the more premium sex toys that can be used during foreplay, or while being intimate," she says. "The possibilities are endless, however, it’s important to figure out what is best for you, your partner, and your relationship.
