The KeySmart Nano Torch Twist is a high quality aircraft-grade aluminum swivel-head 600 lumen flashlight that ships with a rechargeable AA battery and has a magnet to secure the flashlight for optimal lighting positioning.Get more news about Keysmart Torch, you can vist our website!

I’ve been playing with it putting it against my trusty 97 lumen mini Maglite for a couple of days and unless something pops up, here’s what we’ve got:

It’s extremely bright, but a fairly narrow beam. Pretty much the same aperture as my Maglite but more intense.

Learning to use it is a little bit of a curve. It’s a two seconds press to turn it on. Single quick press after it’s on to cycle brightness between low, medium, and 600 lumen eye hurting power. They’ve included a map that also appears to indicate that you can also press two seconds to get to strobe and SOS mode. For those I’ve found that I have to press two seconds to turn on, then press and hold for maybe 4 seconds more for it to power off and then cycle into the hidden modes.

There’s also a five second lock press for the times when you think you’ll somehow trigger it with a two second push but not any longer. To disable that just press for five seconds.

The head can swivel 90 degrees and the light is balanced well enough and has a flat enough back that you can put it on a table and probably aim light wherever you want. The swivel is machined well enough that I was unable to get my skin caught in it while I was actively trying to get my skin caught in it. This is a beef I had with an ex-light of mine.
There are three things I do not like about this. The first being that it comes with a belt clip and not a belt holster. The position of the clip means the flashlight can’t hang with most of the body down. Personal preference for me is that no lights can be bent into by gut or side gut.

The second thing I don’t like is that jostling the Nano Torch Twist can turn it off. This means if you drop your flashlight while running from Old Man Smithers who’s wearing a zombie mask to scare away customers and close down the park so that he can work a deal with developers, you’re going to have to trust that your canine friend can find the dropped flashlight in the dark.I’m able to have it shut off about once every six drops from standing. It’s always when it lands on the head or the tail, never on its side.

The awesome memory features comes in as my third complaint. It remembers the last setting on the low, med, high. The next time you turn it on it’ll be at that setting. For me this resulted in expecting low and getting high a couple of times which may not sound like much but when you’re crawling around under a desk and expecting ~200 lumens and you get 600 it’s not pleasant.

Universal Muffler Kit

LeoVince has developed a special range of universal muffler kits dedicated to meet the needs of the best customizers but also of end users who wish to customize their own special.Get more news about Universal Muffler, you can vist our website!

The universal muffler kit, available in different lines, finishes and diameters, is supplied without manifold but including bracket and mounting hardware.
APR’s premium line of exhaust components are now available as standalone products. Perfect for the do-it-yourself enthusiast fabricating a custom exhaust system, our exhaust components are sure to fit the build. Choose from various mufflers, Helmholtz resonators, cast splitters, tips, flex sections, clamps, braces, spacers, reducers, harnesses, isolators, gaskets, and more! All components are made from premium materials, such as T304 stainless steel, with TIG welding, CNC-machining, and more features you’d expect to see on a premium lineup.

Is a muffler nothing more than a steel can with some baffles and tubes inside? That’s how most mufflers look. But there’s a lot more to muffler science than meets the eye.

A muffler’s job is to muffle sound. That’s why they’re called mufflers. In England, they’re called silencers. Regardless of the name, they all do something to change, dampen or absorb the noise-producing pressure pulses in the exhaust. Some mufflers do it by creating resistance with baffles and louvered tubes. Resistance to flow causes the pressure pulses to stack up and dissipate, lowering their energy and the level of sound they produce (which is measured in decibels).

When an engine is running, it blows out puffs of exhaust every time the cylinder fires. When each exhaust valve opens, hot exhaust gases are shoved past the valve with explosive force. The gases are still expanding as they enter the exhaust manifold and create a pressure wave that pushes rearward through the entire exhaust system. Each pressure pulse represents noise that increases or decreases in frequency with the rpm of the engine.

The pressure pulses in the exhaust create backpressure in addition to noise. As the volume of gas passing through the exhaust system increases with rpm and throttle opening, pressure backs up in the system because of resistance to flow created by the pipes, catalytic converter, muffler and/or resonator.

As a general rule of thumb, there should be less than 1.5 psi of backpressure at idle in most exhaust systems. This can be measured by attaching a pressure gauge to the exhaust system anywhere ahead of the converter (an airpipe connection on the exhaust manifold, a diverter-valve connection, an oxygen-sensor connection or even the EGR-valve connection). If there’s a restriction in the exhaust, it usually will cause a higher-than-normal backpressure reading and a corresponding drop in intake vacuum.

One of the easiest ways to diagnose a clogged converter or muffler is to connect a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold and watch the vacuum readings at idle. Most engines will have 16 or more inches of vacuum at idle. If the reading is lower than normal and/or continues to drop the longer the engine runs, it means pressure is backing up in the exhaust and is limiting the engine’s ability to exhale.

Stuck fox cub released from shop rat trap

A fox cub had to be cut free from a box designed to catch rodents and other pests after becoming wedged in the device. To get more news about rodent trap, you can visit senpinghz.com official website.

Shop staff contacted the RSPCA when they spotted the animal's body protruding from the bait box behind the Co-op store on High Park Drive in Bradford.

RSPCA inspector John Gibson initially tried to prise the creature from the trap with washing up liquid but ended up cutting the box.

He said the fox hadn't gone far enough into the box to be hit by the "break-back" trap which had been activated.Insp Gibson said bait boxes were within the law and were used by pest control companies to prevent "non-target species" from getting stuck.

However, he said it was difficult to "completely prevent" other animals from accessing the box, and this young fox "was small enough to be able to push her head inside".

Mr Gibson said the animal was "clearly shocked" by the incident on Wednesday, but when released nearby, she ran off "clearly knowing where she was going".

Body armor credited with saving Ky. police officers

Two police officers are still recovering after being shot in the line of duty.To get more news about bulletproof zone.com, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

One was shot in Lexington on Saturday, while another was shot in Harrison County a little over a week ago.

Both had ballistic vests on. Law enforcement groups said the vests are essential to saving lives.

“I feel that an attack on a police officer is an attack on all of us. Not all police officers but all citizens,” said Eric Johnson with the group Supporting Heroes.Supporting Heroes is a group that helps families of law enforcement get through grief. Johnson is thankful he won’t have to plan two more funerals after two both officers survived shootings. Although they were both wearing ballistic vests, he said the injury is still significant.

Many police officers who survived being shot say the vest was the big difference. They say they sure did feel the impact both then and days after, but they recovered.

Lamont Washington is a police officer who was shot in the line of duty. He was shot twice, and he said the second round would have been lethal. The impact point, when we got to the hospital was directly on my subclavian. There is no way to tourniquet that,” Washington said.

“It will knock the wind out of them. Can knock them down. But it keeps the bullet from penetrating. Takes the energy and spreads it over the vest. But it still hurts,” Johnson said.

Johnson said his organization has assisted with 14 first responder funerals in January, but many of those were from COVID-19.

Local man makes bulletproof vests to keep street vendors safe

Rodriguez left behind a lucrative career in music producing for big names such as Snoop Dogg and the Eastsidaz, earning platinum records and making good money. To get more news about bulletproof zone review, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

However, he said it did not fulfill him. So today, Rodriguez is the director of the Local Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping the low-income communities in LA, especially bringing awareness to the plight of street vendors.

“So here’s the Kevlar, this is what makes it bulletproof and knife proof,” he said.

In recent years, there has been an uptick in violence against street vendors. Street vendors are mostly immigrant, ageing work force who almost only work in cash. Because they are immigrants, many assume they will not go to the police for help.

It is what prompted Rodriguez to fundraise for the bulletproof vests he plans to distribute to street vendors.

One vendor who received the vest is Elio Ramirez, an ice cream vendor in Long Beach. He was attacked just two days prior to doing an interview with Spectrum News.

“They attacked me, and tipped the cheese ice cream into the floor,” Ramirez explained in Spanish. “I tried to fix it because they threw it on the floor, but then they stole money and ran off.”The vests bring eyes to the problem, but Rodriguez wants to clarify that he does not think this is the solution. He believes changing the laws to make it easier for vendors to get legal vending permits is what will curb this rise in violence.

“Get them those licenses, treat them like every other business. If you go into a 7-11 and you assault them, you are going to prison. How come that same thing doesn’t apply to them?” Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez said that even though this work does not make him the money and accolades he used to have in the music industry, he has not looked back.

Converse Fire Department receives donation for bulletproof vests

On Tuesday the Converse Fire Department was given what they call a life-saving donation. To get more news about bulletproof zone review, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

After receiving $2,500 from BASF Converse, the fire department was able to purchase 6 bulletproof vests, along with emergency medical kits containing tourniquets and bandages.

“These were some of the things that they talked about that they needed, so that went up to the top of our list,” BASF Converse Site Manager Jerome Kirkland said.

The fire department covers four schools in Spartanburg County School District 3 and said conducting their active shooter training recently was an eye-opener. It was after realizing they were not properly equipped for that type of situation when they brought it to BASF’S attention, who then took action.

In the event of emergency situations, the fire chief said the bulletproof vests would be serving as a lifesaver.

“It’s knowing that we are equipped to act upon when we are needed to,” Converse Fire’s Assistant Chief Chris Weathersbee said. “Whether it’s fire, active shooter, medical, whatever…that we are prepared to treat.”With enough vests for half the fire department, Weathersbee said they feel the community is in a safer position than it ever has been before.

BASF and the Converse Fire Department are located next to each other and they say being neighbors is what formed their partnership.

Feds pay for new bulletproof vests for area police departments

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded $20 million dollars in grants to police departments across the country to purchase new body armor for officer safety. Through the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), 189 police jurisdictions in New York are sharing $1.2 million of the overall grant. To get more news about bulletproof zone review, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

In the Hudson Valley, several departments have been awarded grants ranging from $1,000 to nearly $50,000 for purchases of new body armor, commonly referred to as bulletproof vests.

Putnam County has been awarded $49,764 for body armor while Columbia County is slated to receive $12,381. Sullivan County has been awarded $7,425 for the officer safety equipment and Greene County will get $4,800 for the vests.City of Poughkeepsie Police Chief Tom Pape told Mid-Hudson News that he applies for the grant every year to replace approximately six vests that expire each year. The grant requires that the city matches the grant amount, dollar for dollar.

“Bulletproof vests are essential to every law enforcement officer for their safety,” Pape said. “You can’t put a price on an officer’s life, which oftentimes is saved by body armor.” Body armor manufacturers require specific care to maintain the integrity of the armor. Most DOJ-approved manufacturers put a five-year expiration date on their products. The relatively short lifespan is attributed to the breakdown of the internal fibers that break down over time. Chief Pape also noted that the vests are worn for eight hours a day and the carriers (external coverings of the fibers) take a lot of abuse which contributes to the loss of performance of the vests.

Chief Pape recalled that when he first became an officer many years ago, the vests were not custom-fit to the officer and were considered a “one-size fits all” device. The requirements for this grant demand that each vest is custom fit to the officer. “The fit, combined with the advanced technology of the body armor has caused an increase in price but it’s worth every penny,” Pape said. The price of a ballistic vest ranges from $300 to $1,000 depending on the features and level of safety. A full list of the body armor grants awarded to agencies across the country can be found here.

Smart homes take a step closer to interoperability with Matter 1.0 release

After several false starts and delays, the Connectivity Standards Alliance announced on Tuesday the much-anticipated release of the Matter 1.0 specification and the opening of the Matter certification program, which many predict will revolutionize the smart home and residential security technology markets. To get more news about commercial safe locks, you can visit securamsys.com official website.
As Security Business magazine reported in February, Matter is a proprietary, royalty-free home automation connectivity standard. First announced on Dec. 18, 2019, it aims to reduce fragmentation across different vendors, and achieve interoperability among smart home devices and Internet of things (IoT) platforms from different providers.
The release of Matter 1.0 represents a great step forward in the world of interoperability, and I look forward to working with and helping with the maturity of the standard as it moves forward,” says Avi Rosenthal, managing partner for smart home and security consulting firm Bluesalve Partners LLC . “This release is the beginning of a long and hopefully, successful future for Matter. I am excited about its prospects and how the consumer will benefit from its launch.”

As part of the Matter 1.0 release, authorized test labs are open for product certification, the test harnesses and tools are available, and the open-source reference design software development kit (SDK) is complete – all to bring new, innovative products to market. Further, Alliance members with devices already deployed and with plans to update their products to support Matter can now do so, once their products are certified.

What does it mean for the residential security market?

“It is too soon to tell how the integrations between the security panels and Matter devices will shake out,” Rosenthal says. “One of the features of the standard is something that allows for multiple ‘managers’ of a device. This gives control of a specific sensor to both the security panel and the Matter ‘controller’ (Google Home or Amazon Alexa, for example). But it is unclear how that data will pass from a security panel if they have not allowed this feature.”

This initial release of Matter, running over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Thread, and using Bluetooth Low Energy for device commissioning, will support a variety of common smart home products, including lighting and electrical, HVAC controls, window coverings and shades, safety and security sensors, door locks, media devices including TVs, controllers as both devices and applications, and bridges.

“This release is the first step on a journey our community and the industry are taking to make the IoT more simple, secure, and valuable no matter who you are or where you live,” Tobin Richardson, President and CEO of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, explained in a press release. “With global support from companies large and small, today’s Matter 1.0 release is more than a milestone for our organization and our members; it is a celebration of what is possible.”

The Matter 1.0 standard launches with test cases and comprehensive test tools for Alliance members and a global certification program including eight authorized test labs who are primed to test not only Matter, but also Matter’s underlying network technologies, Wi-Fi and Thread. Wi-Fi enables Matter devices to interact over a high-bandwidth local network and allows smart home devices to communicate with the cloud. Thread provides an energy efficient and highly reliable mesh network within the home. Both the Wi-Fi Alliance and Thread Group partnered with the Connectivity Standards Alliance to help realize the complete vision of Matter.Matter and Thread resolve interoperability and connectivity issues in smart homes so manufacturers can focus on other value-adding innovations,” Thread Group president Vividh Siddha said in the release. “Thread creates a self-healing mesh network which grows more responsive and reliable with each added device, and its ultra-lower power architecture extends battery life. Combined, Thread with Matter is a powerful choice for product companies and a great value for consumers.”

Matter is also striking new ground with security policies and processes using distributed ledger technology and Public Key Infrastructure to validate device certification and provenance. This will help to ensure users are connecting authentic, certified, and up-to-date devices to their homes and networks.

“There are still lots of questions, but it is going to be very exciting to see how they are solved,” Rosenthal says. “I hope to learn more when I attend the Launch in Amsterdam next month.”

The Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) is spearheaded by some of the heaviest hitters in the smart home and residential security technology space, with its Board of Directors including executives from Amazon, Apple, ASSA ABLOY, Comcast, Google, Huawei, Latch Systems, Legrand, Lutron Electronics, Resideo, Samsung SmartThings, Schneider Electric, and others.

“We would not be where we are today without the strength and dedication of the Alliance members who have provided thousands of engineers, intellectual property, software accelerators, security protocols, and the financial resources to accomplish what no single company could ever do on their own,” Bruno Vulcano, Chair of the Alliance Board and R&D Manager for Legrand Digital Infrastructure, said in the release.
