RALEIGH Authentic Josh Rosen Jersey , N.C. — Two teams that are slumping at the wrong time meet Saturday night at PNC Arena, both with a degree of desperation.
The Philadelphia Flyers are in danger of dropping out of playoff position in the Eastern Conference. The Carolina Hurricanes have a challenging climb to snatch a playoff spot.
“Obviously the sense of urgency now has to be amped up regardless where we’re at,” Flyers defenseman Andrew MacDonald said.
Article continues below ...Philadelphia is 1-6-1 this month, beginning with a 4-1 home loss to Carolina.
The Hurricanes are 1-4-0 across their last five games. Carolina has allowed six goals in three of its last six games.
“We are in a hole right now,” Hurricanes forward Lee Stempniak said. “We still think we are going to make the playoffs and we believe we can Falcons Calvin Ridley Jersey , but it gets harder with each loss.”
The Flyers have 10 more points than the Hurricanes, so they’re in better shape in terms of playoff position, though their margin for error has been considerably sliced.
“We have 11 games left, we’re there right now so obviously if we can take care of business down the stretch here, we’ll be fine Cheap Barkevious Mingo Jersey ,” MacDonald said. “I think we just have to adjust and make sure we take care of things.”
The Flyers believe there’s much to be gained from the recent slide if the reaction is appropriate.
“I think the message is it is what it is, we’re going to learn from it and then get better,” said Philadelphia goalie Alex Lyon, who played in relief in Thursday night’s home loss to Columbus.
By the end of February, the Flyers looked like they could contend for a top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Now Authentic Kenta Maeda Jersey , they’re trying to hang on to a playoff bid, though the divisional title isn’t out of reach.
“I think it’s that time of year,” coach Dave Hakstol said. “You always have to look at the reality of the situation. There’s a dark side and a negative side. Then there’s an opportunity side.”
The Hurricanes haven’t played since blowing a three-goal, third-period lead in the final 10 minutes of Tuesday night’s 6-4 home loss to the Boston Bruins.
“It’s hard to explain,” Carolina defenseman Justin Faulk said. “I think we’re a good team (but) our backs are against the wall. We’re playing tig
ht. We’re not playing loose. We’re probably not playing with confidence as a whole the last little while.”
Hurricanes coach Bill Peters said the collapses are disturbing.
“It has happened too many times Authentic Andy Pettitte Jersey ,” Peters said. “… It’s playoff-style hockey this time of the year and you have to play like that. … There’s ways to recover. We’ll see if we’re able to do it.”
The Hurricanes did showcase some promise on special teams in the Boston game. They scored on the power play and had a short-handed goal in the same game for the second time this season.
Claude Giroux has an eight-game points streak for the Flyers, reflecting the third-longest stretch of his career.
Philadelphia has a back-to-back this weekend, with a home game Sunday against the Washington Capitals. Carolina also plays Sunday, visiting the New York Islanders.
. Cheap Alonzo Mourning Jersey , Cheap Goran Dragic Jersey , Authentic Womens Dorance Armstrong Jr. Jersey , Womens Ryan Switzer Jersey ,SAINT PAUL Authentic Josh Jackson Jersey , Minn. — The Winnipeg Whiteout — that tradition which has Jets fans celebrating the region’s often inclement winter weather by wearing white to playoff games — seemed like a good idea, especially as raucous home crowds helped spur the Jets to a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven first round playoff series with the Minnesota Wild.
The concept of a whiteout was less fun for the Jets come Saturday, as they tried to make their way to the Twin Cities for Game 3. A freak April blizzard hitting central Minnesota shut down MSP Airport during the day, forcing the Jets to land in Duluth, Minn., in the early afternoon.
The Jets’ plane returned to Winnipeg Wholesale Rashaan Evans Jersey , so the club will fly to Minneapolis tomorrow morning.
Article continues below ...That’s about the worst thing that has happened to Winnipeg so far in the playoffs, as the Jets have dominated the last five periods of this series and even survived the Wild’s attempt to send a message in the final seconds of Game 2 as fists flew all over the ice in a “playoff normal” show of increasing bad blood between these Central Division rivals.
This franchise has never won a road playoff game, and as much as they enjoyed home ice in the first two games, the Jets are aware that a less-than-friendly reception is likely in Minnesota.
“They’re the next-best home team in the National Hockey League and they’re going to get into their comfort zone real good,” Jets coach Paul Maurice said Saturday before the team left and returned to Winnipeg. “It’s a loud building, so what we need to do is handle it. Our game won’t change Authentic Bartolo Colon Jersey , the things that we want to accomplish on the ice, but it’s going to feel different on the bench.”
The Wild, who along with Anaheim and Pittsburgh are among only three teams in the NHL to make the playoffs in each of the past six consecutive seasons, headed home Friday night in a sadly familiar position. Minnesota has trailed a series 2-0 in five of those six playoff seasons, including a year ago when it lost the first two at home and fell to St. Louis in five games.
The pre-series concern for Minnesota was how their defense would fare without mainstay Ryan Suter, who was lost for the season with an ankle injury. Instead Authentic Don Larsen Jersey , the concern after 120 minutes of hockey has been the Wild offense, which has managed only three goals and 37 shots in two games. The Wild lost three consecutive gam
es just once this season.
“No matter how you cut it, guys play for seven months, and if they go down 0-2, they’re a little bit disappointed, but it’s not like getting down 0-2 in your building and having to go to their building Wholesale Mark Walton Jersey ,” Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said after the team practiced in its rink Saturday. “I don’t think we’ve got any room for rest. We’ve got to play our absolute best.”
Although Boudreau allowed extra rest for defenseman Matt Dumba, who has averaged 28 minutes, 30 seconds of ice time in the first two games as they try to fill the gap caused by Suter’s absence. Dumba stayed home from practice Saturday under orders from the coach, who said he will be ready on Sunday.

Martinez Jersey Womens , Cheap Rudy Gobert Jersey , Womens Dorian O'Daniel Jersey , Cheap Kyrie Irving Jersey ,BALTIMORE (AP) As a reward for going three days between games Authentic Anthony Averett Jersey , the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens now get an extended break before returning to action.
Boy, can they use it.
The Dolphins (4-3) have to find a way to get their offense moving, and they have to decide whether to use Jay Cutler or Matt Moore at quarterback.
Article continues below ...The Ravens (4-4) can only hope quarterback Joe Flacco uses the time off to recover from the concussion he received in a 40-0 win over Miami on Thursday night.
In the midst of one of his best performances of the season, Flacco was hit high by Kiko Alonso while sliding at the end of an impromptu run near the end of the second quarter. Flacco’s helmet flew off his head, and the 10-year quarterback appeared wobbly as he struggled to his feet.
Flacco was initially placed in concussion protocol, and by halftime was ruled out.
”Joe had a concussion and a cut ear,” coach John Harbaugh said. ”They were stitching it up without any anesthesia Cheap Taven Bryan Jersey , so he’s a tough dude. That’s as much as I know.”
The coach hopes that tough dude is ready to play on Nov. 5, when Baltimore faces Tennessee on the road.
Miami, meanwhile, was looking for so much more from Moore in his first start of the year. Subbing for the injured Cutler (ribs), Moore went 25 for 44 for 176 yards.
If Cutler is healthy on Nov. 5, he will likely start against Oakland.
Some things we learned about the Ravens and Dolphins:
A BIT TOO SIMPLE: With a team that’s been held scoreless twice in five weeks and a fill-in quarterback, Miami coach Adam Gase has tried to simplify the offense for the Dolphins.
The problem with that is Titans Luke Falk Jersey , it’s become too easy for the defense to recognize what’s going on.
”One hundred percent, that’s what it is,” Gase said. ”That’s what happens when you cut it back like that: It becomes a little easier to defend. We got to start doing something right.”
SQUASHING THE RUN: The Ravens came into the game dead last in the NFL in run defense after going a league-record 21 straight seasons holding teams to less than four yards per carry. Opponents were averaging 4.2 yards per carry, and Baltimore was determined to put a stop to that.
”That’s not what we’re about, giving up a bunch of yards in the running game,” Harbaugh said. ”They took it personally. I’m sure they did.”
The Ravens allowed the Dolphins only 45 yards on 19 carries, a 2.4-yard average.
AN EASY FIX?: In a lot of ways – communications issues Authentic Chukwuma Okorafor Jersey , the inability to stop the run, not pressuring the opposing quarterback – the Dolphins defense has only itself to blame for its shoddy performance. Accepting responsibility for the self-inflicted wounds and eliminating them is where defensive end Cameron Wade thinks Miami’s turnaround must start.
”As much as that’s frustrating, that’s probably the easiest thing to fix,” he said.
NOT SATISFIED: Winning a game in record-breaking fashion can be intoxicating. To Terrell Suggs, the Ravens’ most lopsided shutout in franchise history means they simply have to work harder to do it again.
Baltimore lost four of five before coming up
big against the Dolphins in a must-win situation.
”We have a lot of work to do. We are 4-4,” Suggs said. ”Mediocrity is the worst thing in the world.”
SHUTOUT ENCORE: The Ravens now have two shutouts in a season for the first time since 2006.
”We have a standard to keep in Baltimore,” defensive tackle Brandon Williams said. ”What you saw is exactly who we are: a hard-nosed team Taron Johnson Super Bowl LI Jersey , a defense that runs to the ball and stops the run, gets a bunch of tackles in the backfield.”
The backfield played well, too. C.J. Mosley and Jimmy Smith scored on interception returns, the fourth time in Ravens history that the defense has tallied two TDs in a game.

. Los Angeles Chargers Elite Jerseys , Cheap Patrick Ewing Jersey , Womens Dalton Schultz Jersey , Womens Robert Golden Jersey ,PHILADELPHIA (AP) Nick Foles stood tall in the pocket Oren Burks Jersey Elite , ignored the pressure and made one big throw after another.
On the biggest stage of his life, Foles silenced the critics who thought the Eagles couldn’t get to the Super Bowl without MVP candidate Carson Wentz. Foles threw for 352 and three touchdowns to lead Philadelphia to a convincing 38-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC championship game Sunday.
Now he’s headed to Minnesota to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Article continues below ...”Words can’t describe what I feel right now,” Foles said. ”All glory goes to God. I’m grateful and humbled to be part of this team. No one in the locker room doubted me. We kept working, I got more reps in practice and it’s a rhythm thing.”
While Wentz watched from the sideline, using a cane to walk following surgery to repair his torn left ACL http://www.seattleseahawksteamonline.com/dontae-johnson-jersey , Foles picked apart the NFL’s top-ranked defense. He tossed a perfect 53-yard touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery with the pocket collapsing around him to give Philadelphia a 21-7 lead in the second quarter.
Foles then directed a 60-yard drive in 29 seconds to set up a field goal before halftime. He fired a 49-yard TD pass to Torrey Smith off a flea flicker to start the second half and tossed a 5-yard TD to Jeffery early in the fourth to make it 38-7.
Foles was at his best on third downs, completing 10 of 11 for 159 yards and two TDs. The Eagles had been 0 for 13 on third-and-10 or longer after Wentz went down. On Sunday, Foles threw an 11-yard pass to Zach Ertz on third-and-10 on the Eagles’ first touchdown drive. His long TD pass to Jeffery came on third-and-10.
The Eagles (15-3) have been underdogs in both playoffs games, mostly because Wentz was no longer playing. They were the first No. 1 seed not favored in a divisional round game, a 15-10 win over the Falcons. The Vikings (14-4) were 3-point favorites despite also being led by a backup quarterback – Case Keenum Cheap Logan Cooke Jersey , Foles’ good friend and former teammate.
”You know everyone was against us,” Foles said. ”Coming out here, stick together and come away with an amazing victory against a great team.”
Keenum congratulated Foles in the tunnel after the game.
”He did a great job,” Keenum said.
Foles walked into the X-ray room after the game, but told The Associated Press after he came out: ”I’m good. I’m fine.”
Foles put on a passing clinic Cheap M.J. Stewart Jersey , completing 78.8 percent of his passes (26 of 33). Not bad for a guy who contemplated retirement before the 2016 season.
”I’m not surprised,” said Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who held the same position with the Eagles in 2013. ”I’ve seen the best of Nick.”
A third-round pick by former Eagles coach Andy Reid in 2012, Foles had tremendous success as a starter under Chip Kelly his sophomore season. He threw 29 TDs and only two picks in 11 starts, including playoffs in 2013. Foles posted a passer rating of 119.2 Adidas Logan Couture Jersey , third-highest in league history. He tied an NFL r
ecord with seven TD passes in a game at Oakland in November 2013 won an offensive MVP award at a Pro Bowl.
But Foles was traded to St. Louis for Sam Bradford in March 2015. He lost his starting job to Keenum and asked for his release after Jared Goff was drafted No. 1 overall. Foles considered hanging up his cleats before Reid persuaded him to go to Kansas City to be Alex Smith’s backup.
After one season with the Chiefs, Foles returned to Philly to provide insurance behind Wentz.
He’ll become a folk hero if he can deliver the franchise’s first ever Super Bowl title.
