MADRID, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore-based businessman, Peter Lim, who is also the owner of Spanish BBVA Primera Liga side Valencia, confirmed on Monday that he has bought the image rights for Real Madrid's Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo for the next six years.

The image rights for the 30-year-old will be managed by the Hong Kong- based company, Mint Media, which also belongs to Lim.

"Ronaldo is not just a great soccer player, he is also a very popular personality. I am confident that the Cristiano Ronaldo brand will continue to grow," said Lim over the deal.

The agreement, which includes all of Ronaldo's rights except those relating to Real Madrid, would help increase the player's profile in Asia, Lim added.

Ronaldo meanwhile said that Lim is a "good friend" and has a "valuable and extensive business network and I have always admired Peter's entrepreneurial savvy and his ability to grow businesses."

Lim also enjoys a close relationship with Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes.

But the deal has caused some eyebrows to be raised in Spain with some pointing out a possible conflict of interest which could arise through the owner of one football club owning the image rights of someone who plays for a different side, especially when the two clubs face each other in a league or cup tie.

"If coming information broadly supports the Committee's expectation of ongoing improvement in labor market conditions and inflation moving back toward its long-run objective, the Committee will likely reduce the pace of asset purchases in further measured steps at future meetings," Yellen indicated steady pullback in Fed stimulus, referring to the Federal Open Market Committee, which sets monetary policy.

While admitting she was "surprised" by the two recent jobs reports that showed the pace of job creation running under what she had expected, Yellen cautioned against jumping to conclusions of the longer trend. She told the Congress that the Fed needs to see a "notable change" in the economic outlook to consider pausing its withdrawal of stimulus.
