Armach was launched in November 2021 to capitalize on Greensea’s digital expertise to offer an industry-leading subscription model, proactive and robotic hull cleaning system using autonomy, intelligence and data fusion. To get more news about Robotics as a Service, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.
Part of the company’s USP is the HSR itself as it’s a disruptive technology in hull cleaning, being man-portable at under 66lbs (30kgs) and around 34 inches (86cm) long, greatly reducing deployment costs and increasing convenience. This Smaller, Smarter, Better robot was recently launched for its first in-water trials at Plymouth, Massachusetts marking an important milestone in making proactive in water cleaning a viable solution for fuel saving and optimized ship performance.

James Truman, Armach’s VP of Engineering says: “My favorite job in this industry is working on next-generation systems. The team learns so much in the development and testing of a product for a new application but once a vehicle is sufficiently functional then the pace of design evolution slows dramatically. Designing the next generation, once you have a good understanding of the requirements and have developed proven key components, is an amazing opportunity.”

The original prototypes consisted of off-the-shelf navigation systems, a custom crawler skid, and a separate ROV all bolted together, but as James explains, there were more efficient ways of integrating this equipment in the finalized vehicle: “It worked well in the prototypes but was expensive and clunky. For the purpose-built Armach HSR we stripped out a lot of the structural and electrical overhead from the prototypes. That gave us a smaller, lighter, and more streamlined vehicle that can operate in faster water currents and on lower friction coatings. We’ve tested extensively to minimize hull-coating impact and will continue accelerated life testing and design iteration to ensure long term reliability”.
Greensea has enormous experience in intelligent control systems for underwater robots, indeed this is how Armach came into being. The vehicle is purpose built around the state of the art in miniaturized navigation sensors. Greensea’s OPENSEA fuses a navigation solution from the myriad sensors and provides rock-solid vehicle control.

For the HSR vehicle, Armach designed and is producing the electro-mechanical drive and cleaning components in-house because it needed not only high power-density and unique packaging but also precision control and feedback. This bespoke approach pays dividends when it comes to in-water usability and control, along with the quality of the hull data fed back: “The resulting performance driving on a hull as well as the free-flying stability are amazing. The networked architecture and SAFEC2 functionality mean we can monitor or control the vehicles from anywhere in the world,” adds James.

Armach offers shipowners a proactive, autonomous in-water robotic cleaning solution. The company’s ‘Robot as a Service’ solution simply offers shipowners a constantly clean hull and following each cleaning operation provides an accurate georeferenced hull condition survey. The technology is not coating specific and is based on a state-of-the-art system, powered by Greensea’s autonomy, intelligence and data fusion technologies. Armach’s business model provides cleaning robots to ships, ports, harbours and established service providers on a monthly subscription basis.

You can have the best of intentions when it comes to your security – an alarm system, a seat belt, the security PIN on your phone – but if you don’t use them or they aren’t functioning properly, they won’t do much good. The same goes for smart locks. If you want it to help protect your home, you need your smart lock in tip-top shape. Here are six ways to keep your smart lock working at peak performance so you can continue protecting what matters most.To get more news about bluetooth smart lock, you can visit securamsys.com official website.
1. UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE

In most cases, Schlage smart locks will automatically receive firmware updates as long as they are connected to your WiFi or smart home hub. There may be some instances, however, where you would want to manually push a firmware update to your smart lock. For smart locks, as with all technology, updating firmware improves the functionality of the device, often fixing bugs and enhancing security features.
image

2. CHECK THE BATTERIES

Schlage smart locks are battery-operated, which is actually a great thing for your home’s security. Your lock will continue to work, even if you lose power. You can lock and unlock the door at the touchscreen, so there’s no worrying about getting locked out or leaving your house open to strangers during a power outage.
To keep your smart lock working properly, make sure to check and replace the batteries regularly. How often you need to do this depends on the lock and how much you use it, and your network. If you use the Schlage® Home app to manage your Schlage Encode Plus™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt, Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt or Schlage Sense® Smart Deadbolt, the app will show a notification when the lock’s power is running low. Regardless of which lock you have, you’ll also see an indication on the touchscreen, either in the form of a blinking red X or a low battery icon.

3. MAINTAIN A STRONG CONNECTION

You’ll find that you get the best experience with your smart lock when it can easily connect to your WiFi or mesh network. When possible, place your WiFi router or smart home hub close to your lock – about 40 feet assuming there are no metal walls or other obstructions to block the signal. If you can’t move the router or hub, consider a signal extender to improve the connection.

When your lock has a stronger connection to your network, you’ll likely find that your batteries last longer and you can remotely access your lock more quickly. Both of these are important to improving the security of your home with smart locks.
4. USE THE TECHNOLOGY AS IT'S INTENDED

Schlage offers smart locks that work with a variety of technologies. The Schlage Encode and Schlage Encode Plus deadbolts connect to your network over WiFi, the Schlage Sense lock uses Bluetooth technology and the Schlage Connect® Smart Deadbolt comes in models that work with either Z-Wave or Zigbee technology. That means if you want remote access for your smart lock, you need a compatible phone or tablet to control them.
If you’re using a Bluetooth smart lock, the Bluetooth on your phone needs to be turned on, and you need to be within approximately 30 feet of the lock. Z-Wave and Zigbee smart locks require a hub for smart phone integration. There are plenty of options here, so visit our Works With page for an up-to-date list and information. And if you choose a WiFi lock, your wireless internet needs to remain on to take advantage of all the remote capabilities available.

5. CLEAN YOUR LOCK GENTLY

Keeping high-touch surfaces clean has become an increasing concern in recent times. Clean your door hardware and smart locks on a regular basis to help prevent the spread of germs, but do so gently to avoid damaging the electronics or finish. Gently wipe the surface of your door hardware with a mixture of mild liquid dishwashing detergent and water. Then, using water only, wipe the surfaces again to remove any detergent left behind. Immediately dry all surfaces with a clean towel. Do not spray or immerse the hardware in liquid at any time.
6. INSPECT YOUR DOOR SEASONALLY

Sometimes keeping your lock working properly has more to do with the door than the deadbolt. As the weather changes – temperatures fluctuate, humidity increases – you might find that your door starts to stick or that you have to tug the door closed while you lock it. Check your door periodically. Repair any cracks or warped surfaces, and make the necessary adjustments if the deadbolt is rubbing.

From big gains in tech stocks to robust trade data, China has had plenty of good news on the economic front this week.To get more china business market news, you can visit shine news official website.

The positive developments come after the world's second largest economy was battered by widespread Covid lockdowns, a sweeping crackdown on tech companies and a real estate slump. Consumer spending and factory output both shrank sharply in April, while unemployment has surged to the highest level since the initial coronavirus outbreak in early 2020.
As China takes steps to gradually reopen businesses, and authorities introduce a slew of measures to stimulate activity, there are signs that a revival may be around the corner.
Still, analysts say more needs to be done to repair investor confidence in China, and some big risks haven't gone away.
"It will take time to repair the business confidence, and sell-offs in Chinese assets might resume if China data proved to be disappointing again," said Ken Cheung, chief Asian foreign exchange strategist for Mizuho Bank.China's economic slowdown has largely been a self-inflicted headache, spurred by President Xi Jinping's clampdown on private enterprises, a campaign to contain excessive borrowing by real estate developers, and a relentless adherence to zero-Covid policy.
But there are some signs that the regulatory nightmare for tech firms may be coming to an end. Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal reported that Beijing's cybersecurity review of Didi was about to wrap up. The move would allow the ride-hailing giant to return to app stores in mainland China, almost a year after Didi was removed over data privacy violations.
Didi's shares climbed 24% Monday on Wall Street after the report.
Other media reports this week have signaled an easing of the crackdown. On Thursday, Bloomberg said Chinese regulators have started early stage discussions on a potential revival of Ant Group's IPO, citing people familiar with the matter. Reuters reported on Thursday that Ant — owner of the hugely popular Alipay app — aims to file a preliminary prospectus for the offering as soon as next month.
Jack Ma was about to make history with a planned $37 billion IPO of the Alibaba affiliate in Shanghai and Hong Kong in November 2020. But China abruptly halted the Ant deal days before the stock was due to start trading, a move that marked the start of a regulatory offensive that engulfed the internet industry in the year that followed.Ant Group said Thursday that it "currently doesn't have any plan to initiate an IPO." The China Securities Regulatory Commission added that it has not conducted any research work regarding a new Ant IPO.
Alibaba (BABA) shares have been whipsawed by the news but are still up 18% this week on Wall Street.
In Hong Kong, meanwhile, the stock has risen for five straight sessions and is up 22% this week — the best weekly performance since Alibaba's secondary listing there in 2019.
The Chinese government has brought further relief to the tech sector in recent weeks. Regulators have said that they would support overseas listings of tech companies.
And on Tuesday, authorities issued 60 new game licenses following a months-long freeze. Tencent (TCEHY), China's largest gaming firm, soared more than 6% after the news.
The Hang Seng Tech Index, which tracks the 30 largest Chinese tech stocks in Hong Kong, is up 10% this week.China also released strong trade data for the month of May, after a slump in April. The country's exports jumped 16.9% in May from a year ago, compared with only 3.9% growth in April.
Imports, meanwhile, rose for the first time in three months.
"The increase in both exports and imports was mainly due to the reopening of the port of Shanghai, China's largest port, in the last week of May," said Iris Pang, chief economist for Greater China at ING Group.
Shanghai had been under a strict lockdown since late March, forcing factories to close and causing significant shipping delays.Congestion at the Shanghai port is almost "back to normal," VesselsValue, a shipping data firm, said earlier this week. Average waiting times have now shortened to 28 hours, compared to 66 hours in late April.
On Wednesday, Premier Li Keqiang urged local government officials to help smooth transportation and logistics and protect supply chains. China would strive to achieve reasonable economic growth in the second quarter and reduce unemployment, he said, reiterating previous calls.
Last week, the State Council, the country's cabinet, unveiled a new package of 33 stimulus measures to shore up growth, including tens of billions of dollars of additional tax cuts and infrastructure spending.

Syngenta Group’s planned $10 billion (CHF9.3 billion) initial public offering (IPO) in China has been temporarily suspended due to missing financial information from the agrichemical giant, the Shanghai Stock Exchange said on Monday. To get more shanghai stock market news, you can visit shine news official website.

State-owned ChemChina bought the Basel-based Swiss agriscience group Syngenta for $44 billion in 2017. ChemChina’s application to list on Shanghai’s STAR Market was accepted at the start of July and was widely expected to be the world’s largest flotation this year.

The STAR market suspended 57 applications on September 30, citing a lack of updated financial information. Under bourse rules, applicants must provide additional information if financial materials in applications are outdated.

ChemChina is also considering a secondary listing for Syngenta that could take place less than a year after its Shanghai debut, with exchanges in Zurich, London and New York among the options being examined, sources told Reuters.

The takeover of Syngenta in 2017 and airline catering business Gategroup by Chinese companies in 2016 sparked a reaction by the Swiss authorities and new rules.

In the future the takeover of Swiss companies by foreign state-owned or state-linked funds is to be better regulated. The government has laid down the broad outlines of a foreign investment control system. Concerned about the international trend of company takeovers, parliamentarians adopted a motion in March 2020 to protect the Swiss economy.
On May 20, 2022, SmartSens was officially listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 688213). On the first day of trading, SmartSens shares surged by 79.82%, with a total market value of 22.66 billion yuan.SmartSens Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 688213) is a high-performance CMOS image sensor (CIS) chip design company. It is headquartered in Shanghai and has research centers in many cities around the world.

SmartSens has been dedicated to pushing forward the frontier of imaging technology and growing in popularity among customers since it was established. SmartSens' CMOS image sensors provide advanced imaging solutions for a broad range of areas such as surveillance, machine vision, automotive and cellphone cameras.

SmartSens is committed to continuous innovation of products and fueling growth in numerous industries by delivering a more comprehensive portfolio of image sensors.China’s tech industry crackdown started in December 2020 and has continued since. Several high-profile companies, including Jack Ma’s e-commerce giant Alibaba, its financial services subsidiary, the Ant Group, and the ride-hailing company Didi, have faced investigations, fines or both.

Calhoun from Stevens Institute of Technology said China’s current clampdown has forced its tech companies into a corner.

“China is saying let’s create our own Nasdaq and let those companies come to this exchange, but what they don’t realize is that you really have to have a more liberal regime in terms of allowing companies to go public with a lighter regulation, with less red tape, less of a headwind to float their shares,” he said. “It's not about having another exchange.”

Norman Yin, a professor of finance at National Chengchi University in Taipei, told VOA in a phone interview that locating the new exchange in Beijing could be seen as reflecting Xi’s desire to grow China’s Nasdaq-like presence under the supervision of political authorities.

“If you take a look at the financial centers around the world, location is usually not a key consideration,” Yin said. “I would argue that China’s decision to set up a third stock exchange in Beijing is to allow President Xi Jinping to supervise the capital market closely by himself.”

Your surgical toolbox should include topical hemostatic agents

Vessel-sealing devices and hemostatic adjuvants are expanding the surgical armamentarium. These products provide a spectrum of alternatives that can serve you and your surgical patient well when traditional techniques for obtaining hemostasis fail to provide a satisfactory result. (Keep in mind, however, that technology is no substitute for excellent technique!)To get more news about Bleeding Control Products, you can visit rusunmedical.com official website.

In this article, we highlight three common scenarios in which topical hemostatic agents may be useful during gynecologic surgery. In addition, in the sidebar, five surgeons describe the hemostatic products they rely on most often—and tell why.

You perform adnexectomy on a 47-year-old woman who has a large (7 to 8 cm), benign ovarian mass. As you operate, you discover that the lesion is adherent to the sigmoid mesentery and the posterior aspect of the uterus; it is also adherent to the pelvic sidewall, directly along the course of the ureter. Although you are able to release the various adhesive attachments, persistent bleeding is noted at multiple pinpoint areas along the mesentery, uterine serosa, and pelvic sidewall, even after the application of direct pressure.

You decide to apply a foam hemostatic agent because of its ability to conform to the irregular space. You also continue to apply gentle pressure to the point of bleeding, using a moist gauze. Within minutes, hemostasis is achieved. You are then able to finish the operation.

As these three cases illustrate, the use of hemostatic agents to control surgical bleeding requires an individualized approach. The site and amount of bleeding, as well as the patient’s hemodynamic and coagulation status, are key variables to be considered when selecting an agent.
Hemostatic agents such as Celox, QuikClot and Hemcon are designed to promote rapid blood coagulation in the event of a traumatic wound involving an arterial bleed. Hemostatic gauze products are now widely available to EMS professionals and first responders, and approved for all levels of training in some areas. These products have saved many lives on the battlefield and are now also being used to stop traumatic bleeding in workplace, motor vehicle, and at-home accidents.

QuikClot was the first hemostatic agent adopted by the United States Military. QuikClot Combat Gauze is still favored by much of the US Military. Later developments led to chitosan-based products such as Celox, which are proven safe and effective. Celox granules are preferred in some instances, such as in the event of a scalp evulsion, where impregnated gauze products would have to be later removed, meaning the flap would need to be lifted. This may not be necessary if Celox granules are used, as they are readily metabolized. Gauze-based products are more suited for wound-packing a penetrating injury. The use of Celox hemostatic granules and chitosan-impregnated gauze can quickly and safely stop blood flow from potentially lethal wounds. Hemostatic gauze dressings using the active ingredient chitosan include Celox, Chito-SAM and Hemcon. CoTCCC (the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care) has long recommended QuikClot Combat Gauze as the hemostatic agent of choice for all branches of the US Military.

Celox Haemostatic Granules (15gr)

An innovative new hemostat designed to bond with specific sites which are present on the surface of red blood cells and platelets to make a gel like clot /plug. This process is totally different from the body’s normal clotting mechanisms. Anticoagulants such as heparin and warfarin (often sold as Coumadin) can interfere with the body’s normal clotting process. They often delay blood clotting times. Hyperthermia is also well known to delay clotting. As Celox? works independently of the normal clotting process, its clotting ability is not affected by the presence of anticoagulants or by cold temperature. Laboratory testing has confirmed that Celox? quickly clots blood containing heparin or warfarin (Coumadin). It has also shown that Celox? also quickly clots blood which has been cooled to simulate hypothermia. To get more news about Bleeding Control Products, you can visit rusunmedical.com official website.

Intoxicated woman hospitalised after passing out in Sydney karaoke bar

The licensee of Sydney CBD’s K Square Karaoke bar has been penalised for allowing an intoxicated young woman on premises who was later hospitalised after being found unconscious on the street outside. To get more news about Melbourne City Karaoke, you can visit starsktv.com.au official website.

Police initially found two young men vomiting on George Street, in Sydney’s CBD at 11.40pm on Saturday 20 April 2019. After speaking with the two men, they noticed a young woman who was non-responsive being carried out of K Square Karaoke.

The young woman had been with the two men and others inside the karaoke bar.The Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) has imposed a strike against licensee Mr Heung Hung Ng under the NSW Government’s Three Strikes disciplinary scheme.

CCTV footage from the venue shows the patrons singing and dancing inside a booth at K Square Karaoke, being served cocktails of Hennessy and green tea by staff. One of the patrons removes his shirt and another patron climbs on the shoulders of his friend during the drinking session. The shirtless patron later vomits in a bucket within the booth. The young woman is seen to be dancing and then sometime afterwards passes out on the booth’s lounge. She remained unconscious in the booth for over 30 minutes before vomiting, and was carried to the street by friends and security.

Body cam footage released by the Sydney City Licensing Police shows the young woman being carried on to a bench on George Street after which police call an ambulance.Following the incident the young woman admitted to having drunk two cocktails, and one and a half bottles of soju before entering K Square Karaoke.ILGA chair Philip Crawford said this case clearly demonstrates the risks of young people pre-loading alcohol before entering a licensed premises.

“Young people pre-loading is a real risk and this case highlights how serious the consequences can be if venues aren’t vigilant,” Mr Crawford said.Had police not intervened and called an ambulance the outcome could have been a whole lot worse for the young woman and her family.

“Karaoke bars or any other venues where staff can’t closely monitor patron behaviour carry extra risk of alcohol-related harm.”“In this case, venue staff were delivering drinks to the group and may have had no idea who’s consuming what.”Mr Crawford also said that there were specific risks with drinking soju.

“Soju can be flavoured so patrons may not notice how strong it is, and the potency can vary from 16% to over 50%.“Soju has been a factor in a number of intoxication incidents over the last year, so any venues serving this drink should do everything they can to serve it responsibly.”

The NSW Government has released the draft Liquor Amendment (24-hour Economy) Bill 2020 for public consultation, which aims to create a vibrant and safe 24-hour economy, with risk-based liquor laws that support business. Public submissions close on 28 June 2020.

As part of the draft reforms, the Government has proposed a new incentives and sanctions system with ongoing fee discounts for licensed venues that maintain a clear record.

A well-stocked first aid kit is a handy thing to have

First aid kits come in many shapes and sizes. You can purchase one from the Red Cross Store. Your local drug store may sell them. You can also make your own. Some kits are designed for specific activities, such as hiking, camping or boating. To get more news about Military First Aid Kits, you can visit rusunsafety.com official website.

First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo consisting of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993, respectively. When performing live, they are accompanied by a drummer, a pedal steel guitarist, and a keyboard player. In 2008, they gained some Internet popularity for their cover of the Fleet Foxes' song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". Rolling Stone magazine chose their song "Emmylou" as the number 10 "Single of the Year" in 2012. They have released four albums, four EPs and several singles. In 2015, they were nominated for a Brit Award as one of the five best international groups. They were nominated again in 2019. Courtesy of Wikipedia
Write down these phone numbers and tape them to the fridge and inside your first aid kit:

Your national and local poison control center. Look in the front section of your phone book to find the number for your area.
Your family doctor or pediatrician.
The closest hospital.
Local fire and rescue squad (911 should also work).
At least two nearby friends or neighbors who can give you a ride or watch your children in case you need to leave suddenly.
A list of allergies and medications for each household member.
First aid manual

Read a basic manual as soon as you get it, so you know what to do if your child chokes on a piece of candy or falls into a pool. You don't want to waste time frantically searching for instructions during an emergency. Here are two good references:
For safety's sake, keep your medicine kit in a zippered bag or secure box and store it out of children's reach, but close enough that you will be able to remember and find it quickly in an emergency. Most items in a first aid kit are dangerous in small hands. It's better to store medications on a high closet shelf rather than in the bathroom because the warmth and steam from showers can make drugs break down faster. Check the contents of your kit every three to six months, and replace the things that you have used or that have expired. It helps to include an inventory of everything that should be in your kit, so you can figure out what needs to be replaced.
