Even as the government has banned single use plastic from July 1, the Indinon Manufacturers Association of Non-wovens, representing spunbound non-woven fabric manufacturers from Gujarat, has said that non-women fabric bags above 60 GSM are recyclable, resuable and an alternative for single use plastic bags. Get more news about Non Woven Shopping Bag Manufacturer, you can vist our website!

Suresh Patel, president of the Association, said that currently they are creating awareness among the masses about the non-woven bags as there are misconceptions after the ban on single use plastic.

He said that the government has allowed non-woven bags above 60 GSM, which come in as an alternative for single use plastic. According to him, more or less the price of plastic bags of 75 microns, which is allowed, and 60 GSM non-woven bags comes same, but by the end of the year when the government increases the plastic bags to 125 microns then the non-woven bags would prove cheaper.

Joint secretary of the association Paresh Thakkar said that following the ban on single use plastic, there has been about 10 per cent rise in the inquiries of non-woven bags.

Gujarat is a hub when it comes to manufacturing of non-woven bags, said Hemil Patel, secretary of the association. According to him, out of the 10,000 manufactures who produce non-woven bags in the country, 3,000 are from Gujarat. It provides employment to 2 lac people in the country, out of which 40,000 are from Gujarat.

The office-bearers said that the 60 GSM bags can be used up to 10 times and these have considerable weight bearing capacity, depending on the size of the bags. They said that the non-woven fabric industry has stepped up the production when needed and would do so now as well to ensure that neither the consumers nor the businesses have to face any shortage.

The demand for non-woven fabric had increased multi-fold during Covid-19 as PPE kits and masks were made. Bags is just one of the products that are made out of this material. Sanitary pads and tea bags also have non-woven fabric.

In the non-woven fabric, the fibers are thermally bonded for making the fabric instead of the traditional way of weaving.

Gujarat exports 25 per cent of its production to European and African countries, Middle East and the Gulf. Thakkar said that the annual turnover from the non-woven fabric, manufactured in Gujarat used in packaging, is Rs 36,000 crore.

Metal–halide perovskites have recently shown tremendous progress in flexible photodetector applications owing to their great optical and electronic properties. However, apart from charge generating material, the high performance device requires a reasonable choice of electrodes for efficient carrier management as well. For example, the widespread use of gold and silver electrodes often results in perovskite device degradation while being expensive. Here, low-cost and chemically inert single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) thin films are employed as electrodes to create highly responsive and flexible photodetector based on cesium lead tribromide (CsPbBr3) microcrystals. Direct growth of the perovskite on SWCNT forms excellent contact between the components leading to the state-of-the-art responsivity for flexible perovskite photodetectors 1321 A W−1 at 5 V and under illumination intensity 1 mW cm−2 at 505 nm wavelength. The advanced properties of SWCNT films realized on a flexible substrate allow for robust operation over 104 cycles of device bending along with all parameters stability at ambient conditions for at least 1.5 months. The proposed design reveals the potential of SWCNT thin film electrodes for high performance perovskite flexible devices.Get more news about Carbon Nanotube Thin Film, you can vist our website!

France plans to impose a minimum delivery fee of 3 euros ($2.93) for online book orders of less than 35 euros to level the playing field for independent bookstores struggling to compete against e-commerce giants, the government said on Friday.Get more news about France Shipping, you can vist our website!

A 2014 French law already prohibits free book deliveries, but Amazon (AMZN.O) and other vendors such as Fnac (FNAC.PA) have circumvented this by charging a token 1 cent per delivery. Local book stores typically charge up to 7 euros for shipping a book.
Legislation was passed in December 2021 to close the one-cent loophole through a minimum shipping fee, but the law could not take effect until the government had decided on the size of that fee.

"This will adapt the book industry to the digital era by restoring an equilibrium between large e-commerce platforms, which offer virtually free delivery for books whatever the order size, and bookstores that cannot match these delivery prices," the culture and finance ministries said in a joint statement.
They added that France will notify the European Commission of its plan and the minimum delivery fee will take effect six months after the EU grants approval.

The culture ministry said the three euro fee - which includes taxes - could not be circumvented through customer loyalty programmes or joint purchases of books with other items.

It added that for orders worth more than 35 euros, online vendors could still propose a one-cent delivery fee.The three euro delivery fee... is not dissuasive for book buyers and the 35 euro threshold will favour grouped orders, which is virtuous in environmental terms," the ministries said.

Amazon on Friday had no comment but a spokesman referred to a statement made during the lobbying phase of the legislation when the company said a delivery fee would be a "major" inflation driver and especially hit readers in rural areas.

Bookshops in France have survived the rise of Amazon thanks to a 1981 law that prohibits price discounting on new books, but they say the U.S. online behemoth's ability to undercut them on shipping still skews the market.

French bookstores association SLF said in a statement on Friday that the three euro fee was insufficient, as it means bookstores will still sell at a loss when expediting books to customers. It called on the government to lower French post office fees for shipping books by bookstores.

More than 20% of the 435 million books sold in France in 2019 were bought online and the market share of France's 3,300 independent bookstores has been slowly declining because of competition from online retailers like Amazon, Fnac and Leclerc.
