I really do wonder if Twitch/Amazon do not enjoy the changes that include these Twitch Prime packs, even though it spotlights the ceremony. Twitch has experienced some cost-cutting as of late, and it may be possible that paying Ninja and his ilk $500,000 a month off the back of mainly free Twitch Prime subscriptions wasn't their idea of a good business enterprise. Although Twitch Prime subs still exist and are encouraged, they soar during Prime Pack giveaway time, so it is possible they're rethinking this set-up with Epic.
It is a bummer because it seemed like fortnite weapons everybody was winning. Fans receive free stuff and a free subscription to their favorite streamer. Epic receives a high profile deal with Twitch and additional player engagement with loot being maintained and flows being watched. Streamers receive a lot more readers that work exactly the exact same manner as if those free Prime enthusiasts were really paying cash. Amazon gets thousands of streamers promoting Twitch Prime non-stop, presumably something they wish to promote, and they get millions of players linking their Prime account to Twitch.
