Travellers camping on land near A127 From Echo
Rathkeale: A small Irish town swollen by the proceeds of crimeDid anyone watch bodycam cops the other day? it showed Irish travelers breaking the law yet again, stealing from petrol stations, threatening to hit a police officer all because they were asked to leave land they had illegally parked on, not paying for their meal in a restaurant and feral kids behaving like heathens. Even though all of this was captured on camera, these parasites had the nerve to play the racist card. There are certain levels of people in a society and these parasites are definitely the lowest form of life of them all, and anyone who defends these actions are down there with them. Time the law was changed to stop these parasites from draining resources from honest tax payers.

Have these foreign outlaws got any friends whatsoever other than bare knuckle fighters, poachers, badger baiting thugs, dog fighting thugs, slave masters, robbers, thieves, tree fellers, tarmac con men and unnecessary OAP roof and gutter con men.
Still at least the train lines will be replaced as new after they have gone.

They have no sense of responsibility to anyone else apart from themselves. I popped into GO Outdoors, at Pitsea at weekend to buy an item for my holidays, making a joke about them now selling caravans, only to be told it was travellers parked in the parking space. Evidently an overspill from the area near Tescos where more were parked. I just wish when they move on they take all their bloody rubbish and mess with them. Not leave it behind to attract more vermin. Our taxes have to pay for the removal of all their trash. Yet they can afford posh up to date 4x4 and vans to tow many of these huge caravans. It about time the various Councils were allowed to fine these people and/or jail them. Why should they be free from any form of punishment.

Stormers continue winning ways
The Chiefs and Stormers continued their winning starts to Super Rugby on Saturday, and the Lions suggested their run to last season's final may not have been a one off with a pulsating, never say die victory over the Sharks. The Chiefs lead the overall standings after rousing themselves from a slow start for a 28 12 bonus point win over the Bulls, extending their record to 5 0.The Stormers were never in danger against the Cheetahs, scoring eight tries in a 53 10 rampage to match the Chiefs' five VCA Cosmos ring replica wins from five. But it was the Lions who moved up to second ahead of the Stormers having played one game more. The rise was made possible when a late try by Lions flanker Jaco Kriel settled a titanic South African derby against the Sharks in Johannesburg. The Lions won 34 29 in a game that swung back and forth before replacement Kwagga Smith burst away and put fellow loose forward Kriel clear down the right wing in the 76th minute for the final, decisive score. In other round six action, defending champions the Hurricanes Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry replica were too slick for the Queensland Reds, winning 34 15 with tries from both the VCA oriental princess jewelry replica Barrett brothers. New Zealand's Crusaders can go to 6 0 and retake the overall lead from the Chiefs if they beat Australia's New South Wales on Sunday in the last game of the round. The Chiefs trailed 9 3 after a scrappy first half at home against the Bulls but took the lead for the first time with wing Shaun Stevenson's try in the 48th minute, and clinched a bonus point with tries in the last 10 minutes from Damian McKenzie and Atu Moli. 8 Sikhumbuzo Notshe scored a hat trick and wing Dillyn Leyds had two tries to lead the Stormers to their convincing win over the Cheetahs. In Johannesburg, the Sharks led the Lions 13 3 with an early try from prop Coenie Oosthuizen, who thundered down the middle of the field after supporting a break from wing Kobus van Wyk. A yellow card for lock Etienne Oosthuizen let the Lions back in the game, with the home team scoring 14 points while the Sharks were down to 14 men. The Lions then went out to a 23 16 lead. The momentum changed again and Sharks flyhalf Curwin Bosch kicked a huge penalty from well inside his own half to edge the Durban based team ahead near the end. Opposite number Elton Jantjies levelled at 29 29 before the try from Kriel extended the Lions' winning run at home at Ellis Park to nine games in Super Rugby."That was fantastic, thoroughly enjoyable," Lions captain Warren Whiteley said. "We play rugby for games like these. We probably had it a bit easy in our previous games. This was really a fight."The Auckland based Blues scored two second half tries to beat the Force 24 15 and New Zealand teams made it three wins from three when the Wellington based Hurricanes swept aside Australia's Queensland Reds in Brisbane. Victoria will keep its options open to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games should the bid by Durban, South Africa, go awry.

After Victoria officials met with Black, former Oak Bay mayor Christopher Causton, former University of Victoria coach Ken Shields and elected representatives from 10 local governments, the city has decided to do just that.
"There are way more unknowns than knowns about this proposal, way more," Mayor Lisa Helps said Thursday, adding the consensus at the meeting was that the city might as well say it is interested.

In addition, Victoria would consider selecting other sports it would host, which likely would include rowing, shooting, table tennis, tennis, gymnastics, wrestling, archery, cycling (road and mountain) and triathlon.

shot studio on wheels
The bright magenta van parked alongside Pan Pacific Park near the Grove could be mistaken for any one of the scores of gourmet food trucks roaming the streets of Los Angeles.
But passersby did a double take as they read the sign written in white Van Cleef & Arpels wedding ring replica text across its side:
In a city where a head shot is an actor's calling card, it used to be easy to get a studio quality photo. But many of the traditional photo studios have closed, unable to get enough business as more people use cellphones and digital cameras to snap pictures.
Actor turned photographer Adam Hendershott, who sports black rimmed glasses and a scruffy brown beard, said many of his Hollywood friends complained they were having a tough time finding a photographer.
They combed through Craigslist until they found an 18 year old Chevy Step Van that was once used as a bread truck. They had to remove the 400 pound metal bread racks and sweep up crumbs scattered across the floor.
Now, there are no traces of bread (probably a good thing, seeing how gluten phobic many actors are). Instead of racks, a bolted in chair sits next to a table with makeup and hair products neatly organized. A long pole hangs across from the chair, for outfit changes.
A picture of someone's face shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Adam Hendershott, Headshot Truck photographer
In the "studio" space, a large light hangs from the back of the truck and a desktop computer screen sits to the left so people can review the photos on the spot sometimes pointing out nitpicky things they'd like to fix, like blemishes or sticking out hair.
Outside the truck, two plastic hot pink flamingos (nicknamed Fred and Bobbles) greet customers. The day's clients are listed in orange and pink chalk on a blackboard hung next to the door.
Just above the list, scrawled in cursive, a greeting reads "Welcome aboard!"The old school head shot industry seems to be going the way of the flashbulb.
In April 2013, portrait company CSI Corp. closed thousands of locations it ran out of Sears and Wal Mart stores. Affordable mom and pop studios are becoming rare.
High end studios that charge thousands of dollars for head shots are still around, but that price is too hefty for struggling actors.
On average, 28 year old actress Ashley Platz said, those photographers charge up to $800.
"And, you know, that's like rent for a month," Platz said.
The digital age has given rise to amateur photographers who Van Cleef ring replica charge $100 for work done out of makeshift studios in their homes or garages. Their Craigslist ads some sketchier than others include "Headshots you'll love 100% guaranteed!" to "Need new headshots? Of course you do!"
That has squeezed professional photographers like Alan Weissman. He has made a living for more than two decades running a Los Angeles studio that caters to mostly fresh faced actors but also celebrities including Morgan Freeman, Billy Crystal and Cameron Diaz.
"When I started I didn't have much competition. There were 15 or 20 people doing what I did," said Weissman, who charges $395 for two basic head shot looks and 50 8 by 10 photos. "Now it's just awful. People aren't looking for quality anymore they look for whoever will do photos fast and cheap."
Weissman said that although the concept behind the Headshot Truck is interesting, the business seems more like a "gimmick."
"I love the idea I think it's totally cool but I don't think it's serving the actor," he said. "I'm old school. They aren't replica Van Cleef & Arpels diamond ring at the next level."
Weissman said even some of his interns "have websites before they are real photographers" and advertise head shot services online. The increase in cheaper competition has led to less work.

"A picture of someone's face shouldn't cost an arm and a leg," Adam Hendershott, a 31 year old Burbank native, said with the air of someone who's used that line before. The truck's basic package is $250.

Texas abortion showdown has national implications
NEW ORLEANS It not the first time Texas omnibus abortion law has been before the famously conservative appeals court here. But on Wednesday, in an unusually lively hearing, there was something new: At least a recognition, even from a judge who previously voted for part of the law to go into effect, of the negative impact the law may have on women lives and safety.
"It seems like we're going to be having women driving a long way and having a bleeding episode, in truly the middle of nowhere," said Judge Catharina Haynes, a George W. Bush appointee. "You and I know, in West Texas, you can go miles without a gas station. How does that protect that woman, this statute?"
At issue Wednesday was a law whose cumulative impact would close all but seven or eight of Texas abortion clinics, and leave nearly a million women, or one out of six Texas women, more than 150 miles from the nearest legal clinic. Elrod, Haynes, and Judge Edward Prado, who was mostly quiet at the argument, also have to decide whether the admitting privileges requirement is unconstitutional as applied to clinics in rural areas along the Texas Mexico border, in El Paso and McAllen.
Texas imitation Van Cleef & Arpels necklace has said the laws make women safer by raising the standards for clinics and doctors, but the vast majority of medical experts say they are not only unnecessary, but make women less safe by making safe procedures more onerous and later.
"I still haven understood why 3,000 feet is any less sterile than 7,000 feet."
Judge Catharina Haynes
Haynes questioned that claim too: "You can kind of find an expert to say anything," she said, adding,"Are we saying if you can find someone in the world to say we need marble floors in an abortion clinic, than that would be good enough to allow the Texas legislature to pass that?
Texas has also claimed that the ambulatory surgical requirements provide a more sterile environment for abortions. Haynes replied,"I still haven understood why 3,000 feet is any less sterile than 7,000 feet."
Haynes also seemed to want to find a middle ground that is less sweeping that the district court opinion, which struck down the entire ambulatory surgical center requirement. Still, her comments are no guarantee of her vote. Elrod, who wrote the preliminary decision allowing the law to go into effect, didn seem to waver on her position. Prado has a reputation for being moderate.
Another open question is how the judges will consider the situation in West Texas. The El Paso clinic was forced to shut down because the provider didn have hospital admitting privileges, and it won be able to convert to an ambulatory surgical center, but just across the border in New Mexico, an abortion clinic remains open without the same onerous standards. The Fifth Circuit previously said that Mississippi couldn force the replica Van Cleef & Arpels Albambra malachite Necklace closure of Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra Necklace fake its only abortion clinic with an admitting privileges requirement, citing a Jim Crow era ruling that states can just send people across state lines for their constitutional rights. On the other hand, the El Paso clinic won be theonlyclinic in Texas, so it may not apply.
"We are prepared to litigate this all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary."
Reproductive Rights attorney Stephanie Toti
Still, the argument that women can just go to New Mexico puts the state of Texas in an awkward position, which wasn lost on Judge Haynes, who pointed it out Wednesday.
"If these restrictions are so necessary, why send women across the border to New Mexico?" she said. In other words, if clinics without admitting privileges and ambulatory surgical requirements are so purportedly substandard, why is Texas shunting women to them?
Jonathan Mitchell, arguing for Texas, replied that women have the right to travel anywhere they want.
Today was the deadline to appeal the first round case a challenge to the admitting privileges requirement in all cases to the Supreme Court, Center for Reproductive Rights attorney Stephanie Toti told msnbc Wednesday, and the clinics have decided not to do so. Instead, the current case, Whole Woman Health v. Lakey, seems destined for the high court.
"We are prepared to litigate this all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary," Toti told msnbc.

In the clinics' strategic favor: That casewould affect a greater number of clinics, includes facts on the ground on its impact from McAllen and El Paso, and the Supreme Court has already put the laws at issue temporarily on hold, something it refused to do in the first round of the case,Planned Parenthood v. Abbott.
The courtroom was packed with activists on both sides of the abortion issue, including women who handed out folders full of material (including DVDs) about how they regretted their own abortions. One leaflet asked, "Wouldn YOU care if 9/11 happened every day?"
Paula Saldaa, an activist with the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, told msnbc the group had chartered a 15 seat van and driven sixteen hours from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas to attend the hearing, and rally outside after it. "We were talking on the bus about the privilege of getting to come here," she said, "and also thinking about the women who have to travel so far, through immigration checkpoints, to get to a clinic. If it was hard for us, imagine what it was for them."

Reviving Promise of Panorama City
When Panorama City sprang up in the late 1940s atop farmland in the center of the San Fernando Valley, developers breathlessly hailed it as "The New City" an entire mass produced town the likes of which Los Angeles had never seen. Vacant storefronts abound. A six story bank building that was once the centerpiece of the commercial district sits empty.
"It's distressing," said longtime resident Paul Powers, 68, who remembers when shoppers from around the Valley and beyond would flock to Panorama City. "I don't expect to see a return to those times."
The town, just north of Van Nuys, has been battered by competing shopping malls, the loss of factory jobs that fueled the local economy and the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
Once white and largely middle class, the area's population of 66,000 is now a mix of working class Latinos and Filipinos.
But in this demographic shift, Los Angeles city officials and urban planners see an opportunity to remake Panorama City.
They envision creating a new retail center that caters to ethnic populations. Instead of old line department stores, they see mom and pop discount shops.
Instead of playing to the suburban car culture, they want to make the strip along Van Nuys Boulevard more inviting to pedestrians who could spend hours strolling and shopping.
"I would not be surprised if it became a center of discount shopping," said planning consultant Bob Scott, who lived in Panorama City for 19 years.
He copy Van Cleef & Arpels gold diamond pendant is part of Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry copy necklace a volunteer group of planners and architects trying to get the town back on its feet. "There's a difference between 'economy' and 'blight.' There are economy discount centers where people go to spend the whole day and shop."
In some ways, the transformation is already occurring. Latino owned businesses like Del Sol Furniture in the new Plaza del Valle on the north end of Panorama City have Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra white mother of pearl bracelet fake in recent years filled the void left by departing chain stores.
"The neighborhood has changed a lot, and for the better, I think," said Sylvia Torres, the store's co owner. "Ten years ago, we would not have put our business here."
Customers come to such sale price businesses with a purpose in mind beyond picking out a new sofa.
"A lot of people who come here are trying to build up their credit because they're thinking ahead and they want to buy a house," Torres said.
A Valley businesswoman for 22 years, Torres moved her shop from Van Nuys in May, partly because she believed foot traffic would be a plus.
While clients are not flush with money the area's median family income in the 2000 census was about $33,000 compared with $42,000 in Los Angeles County as a whole they "seem like they're comfortable and can afford to buy good furniture," she said.
Shops in the block long Plaza del Valle face an outdoor courtyard that resembles a market square in Mexico.
Murals, fountains and decorative tile soften the harshness of utilitarian stalls where merchants on short term leases can start businesses with little investment.
Panorama City was the creation of industrialist Henry J. Kaiser and developer Fritz B. Burns, who teamed up after World War II to build 2,000 starter homes.
The houses all about 1,100 square feet and offering similar floor plans but different exteriors rose from the Valley floor near Van Nuys and Roscoe boulevards, placed along curving streets that broke with the Valley's crisscross grid.
Panorama City was seen not as a bedroom community for downtown Los Angeles but as a self contained development with jobs at the nearby General Motors factory and Schlitz brewery. Instead of going downtown to shop, residents had their own sprawling shopping complex along Van Nuys Boulevard. "But here on the West Coast, Panorama City is one of the best examples. Back then, it was innovative."
The town was in the vanguard of the post war subdivision boom that swept Southern California. Mass produced housing, following the Panorama City model, led to the region's legacy of modest but respectable tract housing in suburbs such as West Covina and Lakewood.
And for decades, Panorama City seemed to work.
"The big deal was to get a job at the GM plant and get a car, and life would be good," said Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas, who grew up in the area and represents part of Panorama City.
In addition to the car factory and brewery offering thousands of jobs, the town boasted a Carnation research laboratory (where Coffee Mate was invented) and plenty of aerospace jobs nearby.
