While a B.S. degree is sufficient to get a graduate in the door at a Forex company, and advanced degree will surely provide a graduate with the opportunity of a higher position as a trader or analyst. Economics programs at universities offer students the opportunity to study various aspects of the economic structure. This includes economic policies, economic trends, the analysis of economic figures (inflation rates, interest rates), capital markets, and the national and international economic climate. Economics majors are educated in myriad areas of fundamental analysis which can be applied to the Forex market with respect to currency policies and value.
