PSO2:NGS Additional Information from wangrui's blog
The same applies to PSO2 Meseta collaborations such as the Final Fantasy XIV cooperation with Odin (which still exists as far as I know) where I don't understand just how much of Square Enix is involved in that for Sega to be able to update assets . If it was only just Phantasy Star-related items (such as character outfits, cameos from different games, or other Sega-related properties) I could envision that this probably would have been done, or at least would be carried out. But from the Global variant we don't have the existence of Cougar NX therefore that I don't know if there are other complications seeing Sega's properties that may also contribute to not upgrading everything they could within reason.
I can envision that likely out there we will still see someone wearing those older collaboration items even if they aren't awakened to the same standards as new makeup in a similar way and that there definitely would have been outrage when it was made obsolete or unusable. Collabs who have experienced their cosmetics removed nevertheless have their resources exist on the sport so those will probably still be accessible for jp players.
Neat idea. Its an interesting way of producing a new sport, while not having the problem of"lacking content" by adding on all the PSO2 stuff. I really thought this was made apparent in the trailer itself lol. They also cleverly avoided the problem on cooperation and Voice permits with this move as it's basically the exact same game therefore all collab things are still valid. Mad lads SEGA pulling one of the biggest expansion without cheap meseta pso2 leaving behind the older game in precisely the exact same customer lol.

Only improvements we'll likely see is the new engine enhancing shadows, shadows, colors, particle effects and projecting them against the drapes. You may have a look how exactly implementing better shadows and colors can improve older equipment by checking ReShade screenshots.
