Hero Things - a Subjective Review

Hero things is a buzzword invented at Jagex in 2017 to explain an household of items to create excitement in OSRS gold community. They all have some things in common: each hero item is themed after another"legendary" RuneScape's character, and each has a different impact previously unseen in RuneScape. The things are exceptionally rare, and a participant lucky enough to get one is greeted with a broadcast. For many hero things comes cost, with rarity command prices in the billions.

Additions of hero things have been few and far between, attentively reserved for the updates that were most crucial. To date only four hero things are released: the Hazelmere's signet ring (with the fancy Luck rings rework found in 2017), Orlando Smith's hat (with the very successful clue scroll rework of 2018), Tavia's fishing rod (with the Deep Sea Fishing hub that refreshed Fishing in 2018), along with the Guildmaster Tony's mattock (with the 2020's collecting ability, Archaeology).

Over the past three years I had been lucky to get all four hero items and that I analyzed all them. I took them to areas where they glow the most... and to places where they do not glow at all. Getting a hold of them was a journey in its own right, from counting and viewing to outbidding the merchants the worldwide broadcasts. After months of use I noticed down my list of pros and cons in addition to some other thoughts on every one of these. Without further ado.

The OG of protagonist items was inserted to Buy Runescape gold silently with the fortune in March 2017 but due to rarity it was only in May that someone obtained one. The signet ring of the Hazelmere is a drop from the rare fall table, and you'll be able to get one from skilling or combat drops via the seren soul. The special effect of the HSR will double any fall that falls into the ground - as the opportunity is said to be one in a 3 digit number this occurs infrequently.
