It's important to winrsgold keep in mind that glassdoor reviews could be filed by anyone, whether or not they really worked at Jagex, and that individuals who have a negative experience for any reason may be more likely to point it out. Although the games sector as a whole may pay less than other places in tech, there's not a day I've awakened and dreaded the thought of coming to work, and I personally value that tremendously.

I've been supported at Jagex. I moved here to step up my career (and work on a game I love!), and I'm more than pleased with the inner development opportunities I've been given.I've been a dev for a very long time and why I live at Jagex is because I really like my job. Money helps but I'm not struggling and I love for doing what I enjoy getting paid a fair amount. As for Cambridge vs London, it's the advantages of the city together with the quiet of the countryside in reach. It is just a place. It depends on what you value most in your life.

It is an open-plan workplace, with rows and rows of computers. RS3 ones don't seem any different to OSRS ones, actually - there'd be a person sitting in them and 2-3 monitors. We talk for their team from the canteen and kitchens (or the pub) - it is not just like a Montagues/Capulets atmosphere if that is what players are imagining. Besides, I have like 6 years of my code in RS3 in the 2007-13 age, and some of it I am very proud of (e.g. Love Story pursuit ). I don't know much about their future projects. And no, while we have a lot of assets from 2011, it's not a full build that we can just boot up on release and demand - even if it were, infrastructure matters like the chat platform, names, saved bonds and games have changed considerably since that era, and they would require a lot of adaptation to make that build work again. Like Mod Philip did to get OSRS at the first place the one could be bigger.

I was until a week in the group. We're perfectly friendly with each other, although I would say we operate differently. I would say that RS3 and OSRS teams and each other don't talk much since they perform within themselves. But they are both a very relaxing and friendly bunch and I think that they could talk more. RS3's got a skill coming which I am very much looking forward to. So as for 2011scape, I really don't know how a number of time intervals this business could maintain, but we're in danger of collapsing the world if we do a lot of...:P Presumably, the longer RS matches, the more fragmented our community?

Though we do sit a little separately from the RuneScape group, it's not nearly as divided as folks might expect! I've got some fantastic friends on the buy RS gold RuneScape growth group, and the teams are constantly communicating, sharing understanding between games, etc. - we've got loads of shared learnings, for 2 matches that are still so similar in their cores!
