One of our big challenges is that we are a branch of RuneScape from chen's blog
Working from away from the RS gold office is a relatively new thing for us, and we have not been doing the type of distance-hiring you describe, so far. So I wouldn't rule it out indefinitely though things are obviously shifting. FunOrb did not work out. It had a somewhat inappropriate business version, I believe, because folks were paying for a whole lot of games they would not be so interested in playing maybe if it had only allowed entry to the matches one did want, and teased the other ones through restricted access, it might have worked better. So that could be rubbish, but business management is NOT my strong point. Anyway, I am afraid the staff who'd be necessary to put those back online are totally occupied doing other things for the studio at present. By way of instance, employees who might work on that cellular game are more likely to be needed for assisting RS3 get a whole mobile launch - for that I see many of its players are very enthusiastic.
Not an RS developer but an avid player that has been in the area off and on because 2006. You need to initiate the grind again. There's heaps of about leveling in several OSRS content wikisand manuals though. When Old School was published on cellular there were plenty of angry old users that their balances out of 2007 could not be obtained anymore, but what many didn't know is that those accounts and their related data continued being developed and patched and migrated into what is now'Runescape 3'. Migrating data backward in time is forbidden magic.
Not likely in 2020. We pitched quite a lot of additional things. Additionally, considering that we'd launched two raiding dungeons in under 18 months, both taking up a LOT of the group's time, and there are players that need other sorts of content also, it feels appropriate to have a major gap before a third one. But ideas are being gathered for one, even if we're unlikely to start development for weeks yet.We definitely want to do another one! We have been spitballing several thoughts recently but we're still very much in the ideation stage.I think a 3rd raid is unavoidable, but id like to what some time before it occurs personally. I believe that the two came out than they had to. Especially when content like that needs great rewards.
One of our big challenges is that we are a branch of RuneScape. Old School RuneScape started in Feb 2013, as a relaunch of this August 2007 construct of RuneScape. RuneScape has naturally continued growth too, and has introduced many quests during that time, which include to complete storylines that are pristine in Old School. When we want to take those quests forward, we do not want to just re-release the specific same pursuit (and it wouldn't be trivial to simply'copy and paste' it anyhow ). We do not need to contradict the narrative, but need to create something fresh so we offer something that gamers will still find refreshing, should they've already played in RuneScape. The exact same important beats to the story still happen, the very same characters die, there's still the same overall result etc..
Mostly we would aim to get a new search to feel like something which will excite players (e.g. ongoing an iconic storyline like Ed's performed with elves & vampyres) or present an area as a portion of a longer-term plan (e.g. that the Corsair pursuit ). We mostly aim to maintain the form of our tales very similar to what RS3 did, e.g. the Way The Taste of Hope is reminiscent of themes RS3 coated in Legacy of Seergaze, but without attempting to be a copy of cheap OSRS gold the pursuit. So it may still feel like we're both RuneScape, but not restricted by nice details. Notably, some Zulrah content describes passing into a gnome town at the east of the area, i.e. Arposandra is there, even when we have not researched it.
