Only 8 percent of spending went towards"emotes" - dance parties of victory - whilst a combined 26 percent went towards gliders and harvesting tools, the sole paid developments that would actually be useful in game.

The survey also discovered that a quarter of  Fortnite Items players pay monthly subscriptions to Twitch so as to view other famous players, such as Ninja, tackle the game whenever they aren't spending some time on it.

That is not a great deal of time, however, as 32.5 percent of people said that they spent between six and ten hours each week on the match. Ten hours breaks down to only one and a half an hour every day, though, so perhaps the Fortnite addiction panic isn't as bad as some have imagined.

Only 7.7percent were in the buy fortnite traps maximum band range, stating that they spent 21 hours a week on the game - however in a study of 1000 individuals, that's still 77 players enjoying Fortnite an average of 3 hours a day.

It's bad news for some other games makers though - 46.7% of respondents stated they felt that the"quantity of time [invested ] playing other games has dramatically reduced" whilst 27.3% said"Fortnite is the only game I play."
