2m at Mayfair's Playboy Club's Salvatore's Bar in 3 hours

It not only boasts some of the most expensive bottles of champagne imaginable, but also claims to store a collection of rare vintage cognacs dating back to the 1700s.

When the wealthy Russian came to pay up at the end of the night, jeweller Vashi Dominguez picked up the tab for the 10 magnums of gold flecked Luxor champagne he had ploughed through.

The luxury event saw models parading millions of pounds of diamonds and jeweller perused by guests one of whom turned up in 1,replica rolex oyster perpetual datejust blue face.4m Pagani Huayra that he parked outside.

One onlooker from the event said: 'The room had about 40 of the most wealthy men in London but this was still a huge surprise that just one of them spent over 2m in less than three hours.

'It was one of the most luxurious events I've ever been to, and all of the guests were billionaires not millionaires, or multi millionaires, rolex oyster perpetual datejust watch replica, the guest were the crme de la crme of London's wealthiest elite.

'There were some Arab royal families, Russians and very high net worth Europeans. There were as many personal bodyguards as there were guests.

'The models were milling in and out of the guests and when the drinks started flowing you could tell it was only a matter of time for one of them to drop a seven figure sum.'

'When the sale was done it was arranged very quietly and not at all in a showy way.

'The Russian simply gestured to his PA that he wanted the necklace and the bracelets worn by a particular model and the sale was arranged on the spot.'

When contacted a representative for diamond jeweller Vashi Dominguez said: 'Our Salon Prive event at the Playboy club was a hugely successful and enjoyable event, but it is our company policy not to comment regarding the identities of our customers.'

CHAMPAGNE CELEBRATIONS: SOME OF THE GREATEST BAR BILLS While most bar tabs pale in comparison to the jewellery binge at the Playboy Club last night, many other businessmen and celebrities have drunk bills that would make any normal person cringe.

In 2011 the Boston Bruins ice hockey team celebrated their Stanley Cup victory in style by accumulating a 96,520 tab.

Reportedly the work of just six members of the team, the crew partied at the MGM Grand in Mashantucket, Connecticut with $34,916 worth of drinks before they bought a $61,603 bottle of Ace of Spades Midas Champagne.

At the time, the bottle was just one of six of the 30 litre bottles in existence that are made by luxury brand Armand de Brignac and produced by Champagne house Cattier. It is the largest bottle of luxury champagne in the world.

And in 2012 a self proclaimed City whizzkid who spent more than 200,000 on Britain's most expensive round of drinks also bought a bottle.

Alex Hope, 23, who claimed to have earned a fortune by trading foreign currencies, was said to have forked out 125,replica buy rolex oyster perpetual datejust,000 on a single bottle of champagne along with 60,408 on other beverages.

Mr Hope booked a table at the UnderGround night club at Liverpool's Hilton Hotel and ordered the 30 litre bottle of Armand de Brignac in advance of his visit, according to bosses.

He was said to have entertained celebrity guests, including Manchester City footballer Adam Johnson and Man United star Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen.

Two waiters were needed to carry in the bulky 99lb Nebuchadnezzar size bottle of champagne, which is the equivalent of 40 standard ones.

6 Insane True Stories Behind The Stage Names of Celebrities

As a teenager, Nicolas Coppola changed his name to stop other actors from teasing him. No, they didn't tease him because his last name was Italian, or because it sounded like "copulation." Some people claimed he only had an acting career because he was related to Francis Ford Coppola. Considering that Nicolas says he would have joined the Merchant Marines if he hadn't been cast in his uncle's film Rumble Fish, perhaps those people weren't completely wrong. Or even a little wrong.

Nicolas, of course, looks nothing like a sailor. He looks like a horse. He also looks like a giant nerd, and in fact, he is such a huge nerd that he borrowed his new name from an obscure Marvel Comics character he liked:

Since "Nick Powerman" was clearly more awesome than he could handle, he had to settle for "Nicolas Cage." Cage would go on to play a few characters published by Marvel Comics (in Ghost Rider and Kick Ass), but oddly enough nobody has cast him as Luke Cage yet.

Wait, it Gets Weirder:

In the early 90s two game designers were working on a fighting game centered around Jean Claude Van Damme. When the project fell through, they reworked the concept into what became known as Mortal Kombat. They kept the Van Damme character (and some of his signature moves, like doing a split on the floor and punching the other guy's balls), but obviously they had to change his name. So they called him Johnny Cage.

Since the character was a martial arts actor and they needed his name to sound as Hollywood as possible, rolex oyster perpetual datejust replica, it's very likely that they borrowed "Cage" from Nicolas. You know, the same name he chose a decade earlier to AVOID reminding people of someone famous.

This is just speculation, but keep in mind that before Nicolas became a celebrity, the name Cage was most commonly associated with an avant garde composer. We seriously doubt the creators of Mortal Kombat were trying to be evocative of a guy playing the piano with a pineapple. He is such an inconceivably colossal nerd, replica mens rolex oyster perpetual datejust, that he named his son Kal El after Superman, one of his two favorite comic characters. The other one is Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, of whom Cage even has a tattoo (which had to be covered up when he played Blaze in the Ghost Rider film, because what kind of douchebag has a tattoo of their own face?).

But of course Nicolas couldn't name his son after Johnny Blaze, even though Kal El is much more likely to make the boy the focus of the ridicule Nic was trying to save himself from years ago. After all, going with Blaze for his naming inspiration would have given his son the most stereotypically Hollywood name of all time: Johnny Cage.

So, the future Marty McFly stuck the letter "J" in there. But the other Michael Fox guy? He debuted in the mid 50s, in the same era Back to the Future is set. In other words, if there hadn't been a Michael Fox in the 50s, Michael J. Fox wouldn't exist which is exactly like the plot of the first movie.

Mike watches as a "J" eerily fades into his printed name.

Wait, it Gets Weirder:

When Marty travels to 1955, his father George McFly mentions being a huge fan of a show called Science Fiction Theatre, a knowledge his son uses to manipulate him into porking his mother. The show was most likely chosen because they needed to establish George as a huge nerd who had no chance of ever sleeping with anyone, and Star Trek wasn't around at the time.

But get this: the original Michael Fox played several roles in that same show, on the exact same year. Another episode, aired in 1955, featured a suburban couple finding out that their neighbors are time travelers from the future, hiding in the present of 1955 which is sort of like the plot of Back to the Future only seen from the opposite perspective.

Therefore it's a little ironic that Katy has gone to great lengths to prevent being confused with a completely different famous actress.

Before she started singing about making out with other girls (and liking it), Katy used to sing about praising the lord Jesus Christ (and feeling satisfied with abiding it). At age 16,replica rolex oyster perpetual datejust mens, she released a Christian music album under her real name: Katy Hudson.

In the context of Christian entertainment Katy's name was unique, but when she made the jump to pop music (and the morally bankrupt world of mainstream media), she adopted the surname Perry to avoid confusion with Hollywood actress Kate Hudson.

Kate Hudson, whose main contribution to society is nothing. Nothing at all.

Katy has become pretty defensive of her fake name: In 2009, her lawyers tried to stop an Australian fashion designer called Katie Perry from opening a clothing store under her own name. You know, the name she was born with, which the other Katy only adopted a few years ago. And after Australian Katie had already started her business.

Aussies called shenanigans, and Katy was kind enough to drop the case at the last minute and allow the designer to continue using her birth name.

Wait, it Gets Weirder:

Katy Perry changed her name because of Kate Hudson, but Kate Hudson shouldn't even be named Kate Hudson. Why? Well, she's the daughter of Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson a performer from a 70s pop band/variety act called The Hudson Brothers. Between 1974 and 1975, at the absolute height of their fame, The Hudson Brothers starred in a Saturday morning show at CBS.

Even if that's not a euphemism, we would rather not.

But before becoming a band, the members of The Hudson Brothers were known as the Salerno brothers since, replica rolex oyster perpetual datejust value, you know, that's what they were really called. Bill Hudson may be her biological father, but to her and her brother, their real dad is the man who raised them: Kurt Russell. In fact, when she had a son with Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes, she named him Ryder Russell Robinson.

Yeah, we'd pick Jack Burton over our real dads too.

No, not really, but we wanted to get the Labyrinth reference out of the way fast. Bowie's real name is actually pretty boring: David Robert Jones, which doesn't sound like the name of a man who went through a lot of spoons and needles in the 70s, but rather someone who manufactures them.

20 pot protest set to go ahead at Sunset Beach

Vancouver Sunset Beach is set to get a whole lot greener Wednesday with marijuana activists planning a smoke out at the park for the annual 4/20 pot protest.

City staff told activists to find a new venue after last year protest at the Vancouver Art Gallery drew tens of thousands of smokers, but park board rankled at their suggestion of a beach venue, rolex datejust lady replica, where city bylaws prohibit smoking. While the Non Partisan Association led park board made political hay of the move and continues to worry about its financial impact, head 4/20 organizer Jeremiah Vandermeer said park staff have been meeting with him regularly to make sure the protest goes down smoothly.

of the grey area that marijuana is currently in, it politically difficult for anybody to accept full responsibility for what happens down there, Vandermeer said in an interview Friday.

can come out and say they support us 100 per cent and that we permitted, but we do everything we can in working with them just like every permitted event would and the reason is because we want to make it as safe as possible for everyone. said he and others on his team have been meeting weekly and monthly with single person that you can possibly imagine with the park board, from rangers to groundskeepers. They also been working with the city manager office, police and other emergency responders, he said.

Some of that diligence comes from a desire to avoid any repeat of the conflict that broke out between police and activists during last year July 1 Cannabis Day protest, Vandermeer said. was something that we don want to ever have happen again, he said.

Vandermeer said it has been more difficult to plan for the Sunset Beach site because it so much larger, but added that the extra space will make it safer.

In recent years the 4/20 event has come to resemble a marijuana farmer market and craft fair, and this one is no different.

is a protest and we there protesting bad laws that we want changed, Vandermeer said. farmer market and all the stuff that happens down there is part of our protest and it provides an example of the way things could be in a different world. protest site will sprawl along 250 metres of seawall at the mouth of the False Creek and will include around 400 vendor booths, Vandermeer said. About a quarter of the booths will be positioned on the beach sandy outcroppings, with the remainder lined up on the parking lot and a nearby field. A single stage will dominate the protest site northwest end.

About 200 tables have already been booked at a cost to vendors of $300 apiece. That cash goes toward the roughly $100,000 organizers are spending on the protest. About half of that cash goes to the stage and the remainder goes to things put on us by the city, Vandermeer said. That includes two way radios to communicate with first responders, a rental ambulance, a medical team and security team.

But organizers and park board are clashing over costs. While Vandermeer claimed protesters are paying for everything any other event would with the exception of a permit Sarah Kirby Yung, the head of the park board, disagrees.

a lot of city costs and resources that need to be put into this you got Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services costs, you got Vancouver Police Department costs, you got street and sanitation and traffic management, and that doesn account for the additional park board staff and resources that we dedicating. We putting lifeguards on, we going to have park rangers near the seawall. There a significant number of impacts, she said, noting that the city incurred nearly $100,000 in direct costs for last year protest.

think it fair to say that we don see eye to eye, Kirby Yung said.

An unexpected impact of the move to Sunset Beach has come with a decision by park board to shut down the Vancouver Aquatic Centre Wednesday over concern it would fill with smoke.

"We would be operating air intake fans to bring in fresh air and outside, 25 to 30,000 people will be lighting up and smoking marijuana," Kirby Yung said. "I don't think it would be pleasant or healthy."

About 1,000 people a day use the aquatic centre, replica mens rolex oyster perpetual datejust watch, including children and seniors with breathing difficulties. With tens of thousands of people rallying outside the facility, getting in and out would be a challenge.

Vancouver park board does not endorse this event. They don sanction the event, replica oyster perpetual rolex datejust, it un permitted, and we don think Sunset Beach is an appropriate location, Kirby Yung said. said that, the event is happening and so the focus right now has been on working very constructively with our colleagues to try to ensure a safe event on the day. asked if park staff would be ticketing for smoking violations, Kirby Yung said park board would look to VPD and follow their lead. Const. Brian Montague, a VPD spokesman, would not disclose plans for policing for Wednesday event. VPD have monitored 4/20 protests for 20 years, he said, adding that last year event cost police about $50,000.

A Home Away From Home

Being adventurous in nature, I like reading adventurous novels and books and last night I got hold of one such exceptional and very exciting book titled "Vanabode: Happily Camp, Travel, And Live Forever On $20 A Day". It is a 113 pager book and takes van camping to entirely a whole new level.

I like this book right away because I have always dreamed of going on month long vacation, travel to visit all around the country. The content given in the book motivated me to fulfill my dream. In fact, I called up my friends and have already started to make plans to live my dream based on tips and strategies sketched out in Vanabode.

Jason emphasized simplicity and carefully thinking along with describing things that are actually necessary and eliminating things what are unsafe. He recommended using a plain white cargo van for traveling and living as it is big enough to sleep happily. Van has big enough space to keep all essential equipments while it is small to move through crowded streets in the city and can also easily be taken off the road, for parking.

With the chapters like navigation, budget, replica rolex oyster perpetual datejust watch, discretion, weather, replica mens rolex oyster perpetual datejust watch, safety, weapons and security address and making money while traveling, Jason Odom describes the importance of leading a grand life. He stresses on eating good food, taking ample sleep and good personal hygiene. He adds, that these essential elements are inter related and are significant to live and enjoy living a life on road.

What I liked the most about the book is that it is not just a book of which has theoretical information but has practical content, replica buy rolex oyster perpetual datejust. After living in van for so long they made mistakes and learned from them each day. Jason has shared these results for benefits of others in this book, replica rolex datejust 2.

Vanabode, romanticizes living in the van lifestyle a bit too much. While reading you sometimes feel that Jason has described it as the highest and the most rewarding way to live life and all other lifestyles are inferior.
