Carl Stahl Technocables uses polyamide as the standard coating material. Polyamide is an optimum cable coating, distinguished by its high wear resistance and high bending cycle capability. A further advantage of the coated cables: The coating protects the rope from dirt.
We recommend PA12 if the cable runs over a pulley or if flexibility is the main priority. This is our standard coating material.
Furthermore, the coating keeps the manufacturing lubricant within the rope. This film of oil functions as a lubricant between the individual wires and strands, thereby reducing wear on the cable.
Are high temperatures or good sliding properties required of your steel wire rope? Then we use special materials for coating of the steel wire rope. For example, we recommend FEP/PTFE for temperatures of between -190°C and + 205° C.
We can also offer PA6. PA6 is stiffer than PA12 and is therefore not suitable for pulleys. However, PA6 has better sliding properties and is therefore highly suitable as a guide cable for example.

Triples Workforce to Meet Demand for LED Displays and Lighting

Ultravision International, a leading innovator, manufacturer and distributor of indoor and outdoor led display and LED lighting, has deepened its Made in America commitment by investing $4 million to open new manufacturing lines in Dallas, a move that will significantly expand its production capacity and triple the company’s North Texas workforce.

Ultravision, the brainchild of long-time Dallas entrepreneur William Hall, holds 39 patents for LED lighting and LED modular display panel technologies, making it an industry leader for LED products.

“Ultravision fundamentally changed the LED industry by inventing light-weight, modular display panels that eliminate the need for cabinet displays, which are difficult to install and costly to maintain,” said William Hall, CEO and co-founder of Ultravision International. “We are proud to manufacture all of our products in the United States. The incredible demand we’re experiencing across industries tells us buyers recognize the value of buying LED technology from the actual inventor and U.S. manufacturer.”

As outdoor and out-of-home advertising companies look to accelerate the change from static billboards to dynamic LED digital displays, demand for Ultravision products has skyrocketed, resulting in the need to significantly expand its manufacturing capabilities in Dallas.

The company’s new production lines can operate around the clock to keep pace with demand, and will be used to produce Ultravision’s billboard lighting assemblies and the modular LED display panels. However, all lines can be quickly retooled to manufacture the same product in the event a customer makes a large enough order to need full production capacity.

To staff the accelerated manufacturing plant, Ultravision has more than tripled its workforce by adding new production employees, with dozens more sales, marketing, administrative and management personnel expected to join the company in 2018.

Foot LED Display

The centerpiece of the courtyard of the $91 million Delta Hotels by Marriott Watters Creek Convention Center will be a 198 square-foot LED display manufactured by Ultravision International, a leading innovator, manufacturer and distributor of indoor fixed led display and LED lighting.

Mounted as a video wall that lights up the Delta Hotel’s entertainment courtyard, the 11 feet tall by 18 feet wide high-resolution LED display can be used for a variety of purposes from broadcasting on-site events to running advertising and marketing promotions to live-streaming sporting events for hotel and conference center guests.

Set to open in early 2019, the Delta Hotel will be the largest convention center space between Dallas and Oklahoma along U.S. Highway 75.

The new Delta Hotels by Marriott – which is located at the northwest corner of U.S. 75 and Bethany Drive -- includes 300 rooms, 90,000 square feet of convention and meeting space with 1,000 parking spaces. It offers a sophisticated interpretation of the Texas urban landscape, and reflects the energy of North Dallas by blending rustic design materidals with curated art and the latest technology.
