JOOST VAN DER WESTHUIZEN'S PLAYING CAREER Joost van der Westhuizen is one one of the most capped South African rugby players of all time with 89 and who scored 38 tries for his country.
The 45 year old retired scrum half won his first cap a year after the Springboks returned to international rugby in 1992 and was in the Rainbow Nation side that won the World Cup at home three years later.
