New York, NY (SportsNetwork. Chase Utley Jersey .com) - Alabama and Oregon remained the top teams in the latest Associated Press college football poll and Florida State gained on both after its resounding victory over Miami on Saturday, a decision that sent the Hurricanes out of the top 10. Alabama and Oregon were both idle this Saturday and lost first-place votes to the Seminoles, who pulled away from Miami with a 41-14 win in Tallahassee. The Crimson Tide received 52 first-place votes -- three fewer than last week -- and a total of 1,491 points from a nationwide media panel, while Oregon picked up two No. 1 votes -- down from three a week ago -- and 1,418 total points. Florida State earned six first-place votes, four more than last week, and sits just nine points behind Oregon. The Seminoles were 42 points back last week. Ohio State, which ran its winning streak to 21 straight with a 56-0 throttling of Purdue on Saturday, remained fourth, followed by Baylor, which was also idle this week. Stanford, Auburn, Clemson, Missouri and LSU comprise the remainder of the top 10. The last four in the group each moved up one spot after Miami tumbled all the way from seventh to 14th. The second 10 consists of Texas A&M, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Miami, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Fresno State, Michigan State, UCF and Louisville. Michigan State vaulted six spots from 24th after a 29-6 win over Michigan, while Oklahoma State moved up three spots from 18th after a 52-34 victory over Texas Tech. Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Arizona State, Notre Dame and Texas Tech are the last five teams ranked this week. Texas Tech dropped 10 spots from 15th after its second straight loss. Notre Dame is the lone newcomer, replacing Michigan, which was 23rd last week. The Fighting Irish are back in the poll after a four-week absence, having won four in a row since a Sept. 28 loss to Oklahoma. Three ranked matchups are on next weeks schedule, highlighted by a pair of huge Thursday night conference showdowns. Oklahoma and Baylor will square off in the Big 12 on Thursday, while Oregon visits Stanford in the Pac-12. Saturdays lone meeting of ranked teams pits LSU at Alabama. Joe Blanton Jersey . Heavily-criticized after allowing a dozen goals on 58 shots in two games in Boston, Luongo continued his dominance at home. Hes now allowed two goals in three home games in this series.SALT LAKE CITY - Terrence Ross is earning his pay cheque this week. Stepping out of DeMar DeRozans shadow on the wing, Ross has been featured more in Torontos attack while being tasked with three daunting defensive assignments. The third-year swingman opened this stretch with a matchup against one of the leagues all-time greatest scorers in Kobe Bryant. On Tuesday he squared off against Rudy Gay, a former teammate, before seeing Utahs breakout forward Gordon Hayward less than 24 hours later. Oh, and before the week is out hell try his luck at stopping the unstoppable LeBron James. Ross is no longer fazed by life in the NBA. Its become a nightly reality. Thats what he do, man, Kyle Lowry said of Ross after the two led Toronto to a convincing 124-104 win over the Jazz Wednesday night. T-Ross is a good player. Hes come in as an athlete but hes learned how to play defence. I think he really takes pride in being able to guard those guys. Thats how its going to be every night, Ross said. Im always going to get the best player every night. Thats just how it goes. For most of the Lakers game Ross did an admirable job on Bryant, 13 years his elder, although it hardly mattered. The future Hall of Famer was locked in and torched the Raptors for a triple-double in a winning effort. Gay, another player with a size, strength and experience advantage over Ross, was the focal point of Sacramentos offence with DeMarcus Cousins out of the lineup. He finished with 20 points and a career-best 10 assists. For the second time this season, Hayward was barely noticeable against Ross and the Raptors. Utahs leading scorer, averaging a career-best 19.6 on the campaign, was held to 16 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Ross was draped all over him for most of the evening. We made Hayward work, which was our focus going in, said Dwane Casey, his team taking two of three games, after stealing one in Sacramento Tuesday, to close out a mini road trip. I thought T-Ross and James Johnson came in and gave us a great effort against him. This challenge is not a new one for Ross, who has been asked to chase around the oppositions best perimeter player since he stepped into Torontos starting lineup following the trade of Gay a year ago. Facing off with the leagues best on a nightly basis, Casey is not expecting him to neutralize these great players, most of them older and wiser than the young Ross. Instead, the goal is to make life difficult for them, make them work, something Ross has been doing a better job of on both ends of the floor. It takes a lot of energy, a lot of focus on his part on the defensive end, Casey said. Hes done okay. He and James kind of tag team together on guys like that so well see how that goes. But hes been a good defender on guys, making guys work. Lowry and DeRozan both blossomed into All-Star calibre players once Gay was shipped out of town, but Ross has been the biggest beneficiary of last Decembers trade. Going from a reserve with sporadic playing time to a reliable starter and fixture in Caseys rotation, Ross minutes increased by over 10 a night post-trade while his scoring average nearly doubled and he went from a 34 to 40 per cent three-point shooter. Now, Ross is taking full advantage of an opportunity to handle greater responsibility with DeRozan on the shelf. I would say its the same type of jump [as when Gay was traded], Ross said. I just have more responsibility. Somebody is out, part of your team is gone so I got to do more. We all do. [Hes] probably playing more freely as far as not worrying about DeMar, Casey said ahead of Wednesdays contest. Usually we try to get DeMar going, now its him. Some of the sets are now called for him, where before he was kind of playing off DeMar. So thats part of it but none of it is forced, its kind of in the flow of the game. Hes done an excellent job offensively. After scoring 20 points in each of the first two games without DeRozan - reaching that plateau in back-to-back contests for the first time in his career - Ross registered an efficient 11 points, shooting 4-for-8 in Wednesdays win over the Jazz. The experience hes gaining and will continue to gain for as long as DeRozan is out should go a long way in the 23-year-olds development. If nothing else, having his number called more often should be a confidence booster moving forward. Hes someone, like most young players, that has battled inconsistency and is usuallly at his best when hes feeling good about himself - when he sees the ball go through the net or when hes getting stops on the other end. Brandon McCarthy Dodgers Jersey. Its a big part of what he does, is him having the confidence, him having the rhythm, Casey said. Hes a rhythm player. With that rhythm, it can go out too so his key is being consistent and letting the game come to him for four quarters and not just be in streaks. Hes got to have that confidence but hes getting that now with DeMar being out. Hes kind of the wing focal point. LOWRYS CAREER NIGHT Whether hell admit it or not - he didnt and he wont - the NBAs decision to award Bulls guard Jimmy Butler Eastern Conference Player of the Month honours Wednesday afternoon was on Lowrys mind as he poured in what seemed like a quiet 39 points, his career-high. I didnt know either, Casey said after the game. He was efficient, 13-for-22. As he did on Tuesday in Sacramento, Lowry eased into things offensively, looking to get his teammates involved early in the game. The starting point guard hit six of the eight shots he launched in the first half before taking over in the second, where scored 24, including 15 in the fourth quarter. Lowry has attempted 20 or more shots in four straight games, dating back to the night DeRozan sustained his injury. He had taken 19 or fewer in each of the teams first 15 contests. Hes taking what the game is giving him, said Casey. Even with the 28 [shots] in overtime [against the Lakers], I dont know if he forced the shots, he was taking what the defence was giving him but hes finding a balance. Hes helping quarterback from the two-one position. Im just going out there and doing my job, said Lowry, who has scored at least 25 points in each of his last four games. I know I have to score a little bit more and be more aggressive. I can do it with DeMar but as a point guard I like to get my teammates involved. Right now I have to be a little more assertive. UNLIKELY OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUTS You wouldnt know it from watching them, but the Raptors are playing without their leading scorer. The absence of DeRozan, who has now missed the last three games with a torn groin muscle that will keep him sidelined indefinitely, has barely put a dent into the Easts most efficient offensive attack. By the end of the first half, Toronto had dropped 69 points on the hosting Jazz, shooting an impressive 64 per cent from the field and 8-of-11 from beyond the arc. Oddly they recorded just eight assists on 28 buckets but it hardly mattered given the rate in which their jump shots were falling. Of the nine Raptors to step on the floor in the opening half, only Jonas Valanciunas, 3-for-7, shot under 50 per cent. The starting backcourt of Lowry and Greivis Vasquez combined to shoot 12-of-17 for 29 point, the bench was 8-of-10 for 23 points. The Raptors have now reached 120 points in five of 19 contests to begin the season, a feat they accomplished just once all of last year (and it came in a triple-overtime game). However, defence - a long-time staple for Casey - has been the ongoing concern for the Raptors coach and his team over this recent stretch, surrendering 100 or more points in six straight contests. All the phases of our defensively approach has taken a step back, Casey said. Our offence has taken off and is flowing like water but weve got to have a balance between the two. Utah opened the third quarter on a 9-2 run, prompting Casey to burn a quick timeout, one he spent reaming his team out in the huddle. Their 16-point halftime lead had been shaved to nine in less than three minutes and Casey was as animated as ever. Even with the Jazz hitting 13 of its 25 shots in the frame, they were only able to knock one point off their halftime deficit. The Raptors red-hot offence would not relent, but Casey knows thats not a recipe for sustainable success in the NBA, not unless the defence follows suit. Well, I worked for George Karl for many years so Ive seen that side, said Casey, referring to his time as an assistant with some high-scoring teams in Seattle. But I also do know that being a free-flowing offensive team doesnt win in the NBA. Youll win some games but when its important, when youre talking about winning championships youre not going to do it if you dont have defence as your backbone, as your substance of who you are. And I know that and thats why Im going to continue to preach. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Manchester United could be close to signing Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata. Dak Prescott Cowboys Jersey . ESPN FC reports that sources from both Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge claim that David Moyess struggling side is hopeful of securing the Spanish international by the weekend. Reports suggest that a transfer fee for Mata could reach upwards of 40 million pounds. Mata, voted Chelseas player of the year for the past two seasons, has found his playing time greatly limited this year under new manager Jose Mourinho and is believed to welcome the opportunity for first team football ahead of this summers World Cup in Brazil. Mata has only made 13 league appearances for Chelsea this season, registering two assists. Last season, the 25-year-old tallied 12 goals and 17 assists in 35 appearances. He has played in two of Chelseas Champions League group stage match-ups this season, meaning that he is cup-tied and, therefore, would be unavilable for selection for Uniteds Champions League knockout encounter with Olympiacos next month if he were to move. Chelsea actively pursued United striker Wayne Rooney this past summer, but their pursuit was rebuffed and Mourinho admitted defeat in his chase. Rooney is not believed to be involved at all in these current Mata negotiations, even though Matas name came up as a makeweight in a potential deal in August. Jason Witten Jersey . -- The anointed starting quarterback for the Oakland Raiders is strengthening his hold on the position this training camp instead of losing it. Emmitt Smith Cowboys Jersey .com) - Patrick Reed poured in a 19-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole Monday to defeat Jimmy Walker and win the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.ST. LOUIS -- Brett Gardners leaping catch in the 11th inning gave the New York Yankees life. Patient at-bats and their first hit since the fifth inning put them over the top. "I just tried to get back there as fast as I could," Gardner said of his catch at the top of the left field wall that denied Yadier Molina of at least extra bases and perhaps a game-ending two-run homer in the Yankees 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in 12 innings Monday. "It was an easy play, just go back and make sure I get the ball in the glove before my back hits the wall." Brian Roberts bases loaded single was the go-ahead hit in a three-run 12th fueled by two walks and a hit batter. The Yankees won for the fourth time in extra innings on the season, three of them in the last six games. "Its a grind," Gardner said. "But weve been playing pretty well and we seem to really stay focused." Pinch-hitter Alfonso Soriano and Brendan Ryan each added an RBI for the Yankees, who took the opener of a three-game interleague series for their third straight win. Alfredo Aceves (1-2) worked two scoreless innings and David Robertson earned his 11th save in 12 chances. "At that point, youre just trying to get the guy in," Roberts said. "You need to be selective and find ways to win." Jon Jay had an RBI double in the 12th for the Cardinals, who lost for the third time in 12 games. "Just a really bad day," reliever Randy Choate said. "I felt fine coming in, just didnt have good stuff." A standing-room crowd of 47,311, the third-largest at 9-year-old Busch Stadium, showed up to see an opponent making only its second appearance in St. Louis since losing to the Cardinals in the 1964 World Series. The enthusiasm did not appear to be dampened by a 61-minute weather delay -- for rain that did not materialize -- before the first pitch. Cardinals pitchers retired 20 of 21 batters before the 12th, when Choate (0-2) faced five batters and four reached safely. Five Yankees relievers were stingy, too, permitting two hits in seven innings. "It comes down to doing little things and getting big hits," St. Louis manager Mike Matheny said. "Thats no secret. We had a couple of opportunities to get the big hit. You cant do it all the time." Jacoby Ellsbury got the rally started when he walked to lead off the inning and stole second, a call upheld aafter Matheny challenged. Sean Lee Cowboys Jersey. After coming through, Roberts is 3 for 6 in extra innings. "Another big hit for us," manager Joe Girardi said. "I thought the bottom of the lineup was extremely productive." Molina slammed his helmet in frustration after Gardner came down with his drive at the top of the fence with a runner on and one out in the 11th. Derek Jeter got a standing ovation before his first at-bat, and thousands stood again when he singled, although they also roared when he took a called third strike to end the eighth against Carlos Martinez after Molinas pinpoint throw on Gardner attempting to steal. Michael Wacha dealt with a rain delay for the fourth time in his 11 starts -- total idle time of 4 hours, 52 minutes. After nine pitches the Yankees had the lead, with a walk by Gardner and a single by Jeter setting up Ellsburys RBI single. The first three batters reached in a two-run fifth, too, with Kelly Johnsons RBI single and Gardners sacrifice fly putting the Yankees up 3-1. New York rookie starter Chase Whitley was vulnerable early, too. The Cardinals needed two at-bats to tie it in the first when Matt Carpenter tripled off the right-field wall and Kolten Wong doubled, but they missed a chance for more when Wong overslid third and was caught stealing for the first time in eight attempts this season. Whitley qualified for a win for the first time in three career starts, but left with the bases loaded and none out in the sixth before the Cardinals tied it against Preston Claiborne. Allen Craig had an RBI groundout and Jhonny Peralta followed with a sacrifice fly. Wacha bounced back after taking a foul liner off his elbow while sitting in the dugout his last time out, giving up three runs on four hits in seven innings. He had a season-low two strikeouts, the first against Ellsbury leading off the sixth. CHICAGO -- Even with three errors, the Houston Astros managed to beat the Chicago White Sox 11-7 Sunday. Dennis Smith Jr. Jersey . Matt Dominguez hit a two-run homer and a tiebreaking RBI double, and the Astros tied their season high with 17 hits as they prevented a three-game sweep. Second baseman Jose Altuve made a pair of errors and first baseman Jon Singleton had one, with each infielder allowing a grounder through his legs. "Its part of the game," manager Bo Porter said. "Obviously, Altuve is a guy whos pretty sure-handed, but it happens. But its good to see the rest of the team pick those guys up." Altuve hit a two-run homer for the Astros (41-58), who find themselves 1 1-2 games ahead of last-place Texas in the AL West. "We battled through that game," said Dominguez, had three hits and four RBIs. "It was nice to go out there and get a win like that." Chicago fell behind 4-0 early and tied the score 7-all in the sixth on Alexei Ramirezs RBI double, Jose Abreus run-scoring single and a run-scoring two-out grounder by Dayan Viciedo that went Altuves legs for Houstons second error of the inning. Daniel Webb (5-3) allowed RBI doubles in the seventh to Dominguez and L.J. Hoes, and Marwin Gonzalez followed with a two-run single. Tony Sipp (2-1) pitched 1-1 scoreless innings as Houston stopped a three-game skid. Josh Fields and Chad Qualls got three straight outs each. Houstons Jarred Cosart allowed four runs, seven hits and four walks in five innings. John Danks lasted a season-low 4 1-3 innings, giving up a season-high 12 hits and seven runs. On May 18, he allowed eight runs -- seven earned -- and 10 hits over 4 2-3 innings in an 8-2 loss to the Astros. "Dug us a hole. These guys fought hard to get out of it," Danks said. "For whatever reason, Houston has beat me up this year, so fortunately, were done with that." Hoes filled in for Astros OF George Springer, who was held out because of soreness in his right knee and quadriceps. Springer will continue to receive treatment, and he expects be in the lineup for the opener of a three-game set against the Athletics in Oakland on Tuesday night. "Its fine," Stringer said. "Its just a little something. I just have to make sure Im all right, and well go from there. I can play through it." CHICAGO -- Jimmer Fredette wanted to start over. Rickey Henderson Jersey . The Chicago Bulls wanted to improve their outside shooting. Each side is hoping for a perfect match. Fredette joined the surging Bulls on Sunday after the team announced it had signed the sharp-shooting guard for the rest of the season. The 6-foot-2 Fredette was in uniform for Chicagos game against the New York Knicks. "I see how this team plays and they play hard every single night and they play for each other," he said. "They play the right way. Thats something I was looking for, to come into a team I could fit in and play the way I wanted to and play hard every single night and be part of a team. Im excited to be here. I cant wait to start and get out there and play and see how things go." Fredette, the 10th overall pick in the 2011 draft, was bought out by the Sacramento Kings on Thursday and cleared waivers on Saturday. He is averaging just 5.9 points and 11.3 minutes in his third season, but is shooting 49 per cent from 3-point range. The Bulls, who had won eight of nine coming into the day, had been looking for more outside shooting since they lost Marco Belinelli in free agency last off-season, and then traded Luol Deng to Cleveland in January. "I hope I can space out the floor for these guys and help create open shots for my teammates and also create open shots for me," Fredette said. "I think it fits well. Hopefully Ill be able to come in and do what I do on the basketball floor." The knock on Fredette is his defensive ability and finding a way to get open for his accurate shot, but coach Tom Thibodeau said he wants to come to his own conclusions about what the former BYU star can do on the court. "Hes got to learn defensively what to do in terms of team defence and thats usually the biggest adjustment," Thibodeau said. "But the fact that he can shoot the way that he can, I think it complements our primary scorers as well." Fredette became a top NBA prospect when he led the nation in scoring at 28.5 points per game during his senior year with the Cougars, who made it to the final 16 in the NCAA tournament in his last season. He was The Associated Press player of the year, but he never lived up to his billing in Sacramento after the Kings acquired him in a draft-day trade with Milwaukee. It was clear his time with the Kings was coming to an end when they decided not to pick up his option for 2014-15 before this season. "I appreciate everything that happened in Sacramento," Fredette said. "It was character building for me continuing to go out and play hard. I feel like I progressed as a player even though sometimes you dont get the minutes you want to, youve just got to continue to work hard and know that if you keep playing hard and doing the right things then eventually things will turn your way." One of the top attractions for Fredette with the Bulls is Thibodeau, who has a history of helping lower-tier free agents turn into valuable commodities. Belinelli and Nate Robinson flourished in Chicago last season, and D.J. Augustin has played well since he signed with the Bulls in December. "This time of the year, I think youre always looking to get insurance for your team," Thibodeau said. "You like his makeup. I think he can grow. I think hell get better. So well see how it unfolds. But you also have to remember you have to put the team first." Yangervis Solarte Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Bills will head into the regular season short on experience at quarterback after trimming the roster on Friday. Erick Aybar Padres Jersey . ROME -- Mario Balotelli has expressed astonishment at the reaction to an argument he had with some Italian football pundits after a game on Friday. San Diego Padres Jerseys . Following AC Milans 2-0 loss to Roma, Balotelli had a tense exchange with the Sky Italia TV studio hosts. Balotelli said: "When Milan wins Mario is great, when it loses Mario is bad." Told by one studio host that he doesnt move enough on the pitch, Balotelli responded: "You dont know anything about football. Trust me." His comments provoked plenty of reaction both supportive and critical, and Balotelli responded on Twitter around 4 a.m. local time on Saturday morning, saying in Italian: "Mamma mia I divide Italy in 2! Wow! While nearly everyone abroad is united with me!" Then he added in English: "What a strange game." Balotelli, whose career had been littered with controversies and clashes with both coaches and teammates, was largely ineffective against Roma and he was substituted in the 69th minute. As Balotelli walked off, he appeared to question coach Clarence Seedorfs decision to remove him. "I didnt understand my substitution," Balotelli said in the interview. Told that he doesnt criticize himself enough, Balotelli said "Im a very normal player. Its you who says Im a standout." Balotelli is having a strong season and set a personal record last week with his 14th goal of the campaign. "I chose to take off Balotelli, but when he came off he didnt say anything special to me," Seedorf said. "We shouldnt always analyze every detail, when there is something negative to say about Balo, you are always ready. There are things said and done in the heat of the moment, but then its talked about and resolved. "Hes coming off the back of many positive weeks, both with goals and with his behaviour." Balotelli has a history of being in the headlines as much for his antics off the pitch as his talent on it. He made light of his troubles in 2011 when he was with Manchester City by unveiling a T-shirt with the slogan "Why Always Me?" during a 6-1 rout of Manchester United in a Premier League derby. That came after reports that a fire had broken out at his house when fireworks were let off in his bathroom. Balotelli escaped punishment earlier in 2011 after throwing a dart at a City youth-team player. No one was hurt in the incident. Ozzie Smith Padres Jersey . The Heisman Trophy winner threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds left and No. 1 Florida State beat No. 2 Auburn 34-31 to win the BCS championship game on Monday night. "Theres a lot of heart and guts down in Tallahassee, too," coach Jimbo Fisher said. The Bowl Championship Series went out with a bang, with one of the best championship games in its 16-year history. And the Southeastern Conferences seven-year winning streak in college footballs biggest game was snapped. Winston struggled much of the night but was near perfect when the Seminoles (14-0) needed it most, going 6 for 7 for 77 yards on the game-winning 80 yard drive. A pass interference penalty on Auburns Chris Davis gave Florida State a first-and-goal at the 2 and on the next play Winston hit his big receiver, Benjamin, for the touchdown in traffic. There was no miracle finish this time for the turnaround Tigers. They tossed the ball around on one final play, but it ended with Florida State jumping on a fumble, and the Seminoles sprinting onto the field under a storm of garnet and gold confetti. Tre Mason had given Auburn (12-2) a 31-27 lead with a 37-yard touchdown run with 1:19 left after Kermit Whitfield had put Florida State in the lead for the first time since the first quarter with a 100-yard kickoff return to make it 27-24 with 4:31 left. Mason ran for 195 yards and Nick Marshall threw two touchdown passes for the Tigers. "I told them in the locker room, we put together the biggest turnaround in the history of college football. We were on the brink of making it one of those magical seasons," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. Winston was 20 for 35 for 237 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Florida State hadnt been challenged like this all season, winning by an average of 42 points. The redshirt freshman, who turned 20 Monday, told his teammates: "I said Guys, we didnt come here for no reason. I said Yall, this is ours, man." The Seminoles were down 21-3 in the first half, and wobbling, but never fell over. And now Florida State is national champion for the first time since 1999, the first team to win it after being down at halftime. Winston was jumpy against a strong Auburn pass rush, led by Dee Ford. He was sacked four times. The Seminoles cut it to 21-10 with a late touchdown in the second quarter and chipped into Auburns lead with a 41-yard field goal by Roberto Aguayo with 6:05 left in the third. Meanwhile, Florida State had found some answers to Auburns spread offence. A holding penalty that wiped out a long pass also helped keep the Tigers scoreless in the third quarter, and the Seminoles began the fourth with P.J. Williams intercepting Marshalls pass and setting up Florida State at its 38. When Winston tossed in the flats to Chad Abram, who hurdled over a tackler on the way to an 11-yard touchdown the lead was 21-19. Florida State was considering going for two to tie, but Devonta Freeman was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and that pushed the extra point back 15 yards and forced the Seminoles to kick and make it 21-20. Auburn responded wwith its best drive since the second quarter, mixing runs by Mason and Marshall with one big pass to Ricardo Louis. Rickey Henderson Jersey. . But it stalled at the 6 and Cody Parkey added a 22-yard field goal to make it 24-20 with 4:42 left. During Winstons record-breaking season, filled with blowouts and fourth quarters spent watching from the sideline, he never faced a situation in which he had to drive his team to a winning score. Now he had a chance to add that last line to his remarkable resume -- until Whitfield handled it for him. Whitfield broke through a seam around the 30 and hit the sideline at full speed. Fisher ran down the other sideline yelling "Go! Go!" with Winston chasing behind pumping his arms and slapping his coach on the back. Florida State was on top, but Auburn was not done. Mason and Marshall went to work, driving Auburn into Florida State territory, and Auburns Heisman finalist, Mason, finished it off by bowling over Florida State safety Jalen Ramsey on the way to the end zone. Auburn billed itself as a team of destiny, having gone from 3-9 to SEC champs under first-year coach Malzahn -- with the help of some miraculous finishes. But for much of the first half team destiny, the 10-point underdog, was dominating. Marshall flipped into the flats for Mason, who followed a few wipe-out blocks and zipped into the end zone for a 12-yard score with 3:07 left in the first quarter. Florida State trailed for the first time since Sept. 28 against Boston College. The hole got deeper. With Florida States linebackers and safeties peeking into the backfield again, Auburn broke another receiver free down the middle. Marshall threw a strike this time to Melvin Ray, who went 50 yards for his first career touchdown and a 14-3 lead. Meanwhile, for maybe the first time this season, Winston looked rattled. After completing three of his first four passes, he went 1 for 7, including a simple short throw that sailed high and missed its target by at least 10 yards. Fisher could be seen yelling to his coaches that they needed to calm down Winston. Auburns defence certainly didnt look as if it ranked 89th in the country in yards allowed per game. Ford was getting pressure on Winston, Chris Davis defended three passes and the Tigers D was playing like so many other SEC defences that have controlled so many other BCS championship games during the conferences reign over college football. Ben Bradley and Angelo Blackson sandwiched Winston as he tried to tuck and run and the ball came loose. Auburn recovered at Florida States 27 and soon after Marshall swept in from 4 yards out for a 21-3 lead with 5:01 left in the first half. Florida State finally came alive with the help of some trickery and some old-fashioned want-to from Winston. Facing fourth-and-4 in their own territory, the Seminoles faked the punt and ran a reverse to Karlos Williams that went for 7 yards. Then Winston asserted himself in not the typical way for the most efficient passer in the country. On third-and-7, he broke free of the pocket, stiff-armed past one Auburn tackler and went for 21 yards to the 3. Freeman plunged into the end zone on the next play to make it 21-10 with 1:28 left in the half. Fisher patted Winston on the helmet as the quarterback shook his head, as if to say, Im better now. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ATLANTA - The Raptors will be without their sixth man for at least another week, they learned on Tuesday. Shareef Abdur-Rahim Grizzlies Jersey.  After a re-evaluation of the ulnar collateral sprain in his right elbow on Monday, Patrick Patterson, who has missed the teams last five contests, was ruled out of game action for another seven days, though he will be able to return to limited basketball activity. Patterson, wearing a supporting brace on his injured elbow as he got some work in during Raptors shootaround, was disappointed to hear the news. "[Its] more bad news than good," he admitted ahead of Tuesdays game in Atlanta. "I had hopes that I would be able to come out here and participate with the team and get back to basketball." The Raptors versatile back-up said hes experiencing very little pain in his right arm, just discomfort, one of the reasons why he had hoped to be back on the court by now. "From when it initially happened up until now I had pain, constantly, on the court, certain types of movements or certain types of contact would aggravate it," said Patterson, who leads all Toronto reserves in scoring, averaging 9.7 points along with 5.2 rebounds since being acquired from Sacramento on December 9.  "But now, today, theres very little pain. All the movements that hurt before dont hurt now. In my mind, Im thinking I can [play] just going off that pain factor, but doing the ultrasound and seeing the images and seeing how far its come along to today, Im definitely happy to know how soon I can return." Its not clear exactly how Patterson initially sustained the injury. He believes it originally occurred in a game against the Wizards back in February and he aggravated it in a win over the Kings on March 7. "It is frustrating," he said, not being able to pinpoint exactly how he hurt his elbow. "If I knew what happened, hopefully I could prevent it from happening again." Patterson had become one of the teams most valuable and consistent contributors, anchoring a second unit that has been much improved since his arrival in December. In his absence, Dwane Casey has used the trio of Steve Novak, Chuck Hayes and Tyler Hansbrough as stopgaps off the bench. Unlike Patterson, a well-rounded, two-way player, his three replacements are best suited in situational roles. Each forward has stepped up to some degree, but Pattersons shoes have not been easy to fill. Without Patterson in the lineup over the previous five games, the Raptors bench has been outscored by a total of 50 points. The oppositions reserves have bested them by 65 alone over the last two contests. "At least we have to hold serve," Casey said of his second unit. "Weve got to find a go-to player or a guy that can produce for us, point-wise, with that second unit. Pat was giving us some points or at least spacing the floor for us where it did give [Greivis Vasquez] opportunities to drive to the basket." Casey would not call the latest news on Pattersons injury a setback. The team was not expecting him to be able to return right away. The Raptors forward will be assessed again after this seven-day period and if the new timetable holds true he should miss another four-to-six games. "It could be worse, thats the way I always look at it," said Patterson. "Thats what my team and the training staff is telling me, it could be worse, but youre in a positive situation, at least you know where you stand and how soon you can come back." Marc Gasol Grizzlies Jersey . Villa has already confirmed his short-term deal and the Daily Mirror reported early Tuesday that Lampard will join him as both build up match fitness ahead of moves to the new Major League Soccer franchise New York City. Jarell Martin Grizzlies Jersey . - Playing a road game against a division rival raises the intensity for linebacker Clay Matthews.OTTAWA -- Kaetlyn Osmond won her second consecutive Canadian womens figure skating title and clinched her spot on the Sochi Olympic team with a long program that chronicles Cleopatras rise to power. The story choice was strategic, meant to mirror Osmonds rise through the ranks to hopefully the top of the Olympic podium one day. "Very proud," Osmond said after Saturdays victory. "Its exactly what I wanted to do in this program. Its the first time I did an actual clean (long) program in competition so Im super excited. Im still in shock." The 18-year-old from Marystown, N.L., whos battled back from two injuries that sidelined her for much of the last four months, scored 207.28 for her program that included six triple jumps. It was the second highest score in the history of the national event behind Joannie Rochettes 208.23, a month before the 2010 Vancouver Games. But Gabrielle Daleman, a 15-year-old from Newmarket, Ont., provided the surprise of the night, passing the much more experienced Amelie Lacoste in the long program to finish second with 182.47, likely earning a spot on the Sochi-bound team. Canada has two Olympic berths in womens singles. The team will be announced Sunday. "Very exciting and not just those two, there are several skaters coming up, young skaters, who are doing incredible things," said Osmonds coach Ravi Walia. "Theyre pushing Kaetlyn, Kaetlyn is pushing them. I think its a really exciting time for ladies skating in Canada." Osmond has climbed the ranks by leaps and bounds since she won bronze at the Canadian championships two years ago with a score that was more than 50 points shy of Saturdays. She announced her arrival on the international scene in the fall of 2012 when she won Skate Canada International and then finished eighth at last years world championships. Osmond drew in the Canadian Tire Centre crowd with strength and cconfidence that seemed years beyond her young age. Mike Conley Grizzlies Jersey. "I think its just confidence in knowing I can do what I can do, and knowing no matter what gets thrown at me, whether its good or bad, Ill stay with a positive attitude and still stay focused and calm and able to skate," Osmond said. "Thats a lot to do with my coach because hes so calm and he reminds me when I have to focus and when I have to breathe, and other times when I have to just enjoy it and let whatever happens happen." Osmond has battled a couple of injuries this season -- first a stress reaction in her ankle in August, then a hamstring tear that forced her to withdraw from the long program at Skate Canada in October. Walia and Osmond set a plan two years ago to make the Sochi team, and the coach said he was "amazed" that despite all the obstacles, everything has fallen into place. "Its exciting that its a reality now," Walia said. Daleman, meanwhile, clasped her hands over her mouth when the marks were announced. "I was not expecting that score at all. Just seeing that mark and getting over the 180 just made my day," she said. "I feel just so excited seeing that Im second and doors could be opened for me." The five-foot skater opened her program with a huge triple Lutz on her way to landing six triples. Daleman said shes been inspired by Osmonds swift ascendance on the international scene. "She pushes my limits, because you know one day you want to beat her so you just keep pushing pushing. . .," Daleman said. Daleman turns 16 on Monday and said a spot on the Sochi team would be "the best birthday present ever." "My dream is coming true and I get to go to Sochi. Its the Olympics, it comes once every four years, and knowing that Ill be the youngest there (on the Canadian team) will just make my day even better." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork. Tom Starke Jersey .com) - John Tavares recorded four goals and Jakub Voracek followed with three scores and three assists, as Team Toews walked away with a 17-12 decision over Team Foligno in the 2015 All-Star Game from Nationwide Arena, the highest-scoring mid-season event in league history. Yeah, Ill take it, Tavares said of his offensive explosion. Yes, its pretty cool. The 2001 event in Denver held the previous mark of 26 combined goals in a 14-12 North American victory over the World, but the new record was set when Jonathan Toews put his own team ahead by a 16-11 count with 5:39 remaining in the contest. Toews and Patrice Bergeron each ended up with a goal and four helpers, with Filip Forsberg, Rick Nash and Tyler Seguin adding two strikes apiece. Corey Crawford -- the last of three goaltenders to give up four goals, stopped 14- of-18 shots in the third period to earn the win. Ryan Johansen from Team Foligno picked up the MVP award, pacing his side with two goals and as many assists. Patrick Kane and Steven Stamkos added two goals and one assist apiece, while Claude Giroux totaled three points on a tally and two helpers. Marc-Andre Fleury took the loss, charged with seven goals on 16 shots in the second period. So proud of our fans for showing the world that hockey is a big deal here in Columbus, said Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno, despite his captaining the losing side on his home rink. It was Brian Elliott in net for the third, and he obliged the winning side by giving up six scores to turn a three-goal deficit into a five-goal loss. Nash scored at 1:29 to make it 12-8, then Kane followed at 2:15 before Tavares and Voracek lit the lamp in a span of 1:17 to put Team Toews ahead by a 14-9 count with 7 1/2 minutes gone in the third. Bobby Ryan pumped one home for Team Foligno at 8:23 before Seguins shot slipped home 63 seconds later. Kane scored again and his team got within four, then Toews finally helped out his side at 14:21 and Forsberg made his contribution for a 17-11 score with 3:20 to play. Brent Burns rounded out the scoring at 18:20. The first period featured 33 shots and eight combined goals, leaving both sides tied at 4-4. Radim Vrbata opened the scoring for Team Toews at 3:09 before Ryan Getzlaf equalized at 6:33 for Team Foligno and Voracek beat Carey Price with a high shot with 9:51 gone to make it 2-1. Hometown selection Johansen tallied just 1:14 later for a tie, but Bergeron put his squad back on top at 12:17. Kevin Shattenkirk and Johansen added markers in a span of 1:36 for a 4-3 game and Tavares finished the period on his lamp-lighter in the final 57 seconds. Obviously feel bad for the goalies with that many goals, Stamkos said. The fans love it, and it looked like they were having fun. It was great to see this city. They had been waiting a couple years for this game. They did it right. Ryan Suter put Toews picks back on top just 24 seconds into the second period, but Giroux struck only eight seconds later for Folignos choices. Seguin followed at 1:22, then Stamkos evened things at 2:27. Nash then opened up a clip of four straight for Team Toews, on a marker with 4:08 played. Forsberg connected at 5:56, Tavares scored again with 8:16 gone to make it 9-6 and Voracek picked up another red light at 9:22 for a four-goal spread. Team Foligno closed out the middle frame with scores by Foligno and Stamkos ahead of Tavares hat-trick tally with one minute left for an 11-8 score. It was a slow period. It felt like forever, Fleury said. I think after 10 minutes, it was six goals in already. I was like, thats a tough one. You want to have some fun, but when youre a goalie, its frustrating when it goes in. I laughed for a few, but a few of them, I cringed a little bit. Game Notes Team Toews also snapped the previous single-game record for goals by one side, eclipsing the 16 scored by the Wales Conference in a 16-6 decision over the Campbell Conference at Montreal in 1993 ... Despite not winning the MVP, Voracek tied Mario Lemieuxs all-time record for points in one All-Star Game, with Lemieux doing it in 1988 at St. Louis and pacing the Wales in a 6-5 overtime triumph against the Campbell ... Tavares joined Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky, Vincent Damphousse, Mike Gartner and Dany Heatley as the only players to score at least four goals in a mid-season classic ... Marian Gaborik was the last player to strike three times in an All-Star contest, three years ago ... The last time hat tricks were recorded by two players in an All-Star Game occurred in 1997, when Mark Recchi (East) and Owen Nolan (West) did so ... Roberto Luongo gave up four goals on 17 shots, while Jaroslav Halak allowed the same number on 10 shots for the winning side ... Price stopped 11 shots while Elliott made only nine saves. Franck Ribery Jersey . a€“ All signs point to the Maple Leafs having their top offseason acquisition in the lineup on opening night. Holger Badstuber Bayern Munich Jersey . Eller scored the midway through the third period after Dallas scored twice to tie it, leading Canadiens to a 6-4 win over the Stars on Thursday night.CHICAGO -- Eddie Lack got plenty of practice in his first NHL shootout. He also got a win. Ryan Kesler scored the deciding goal in an eight-round tiebreaker, leading Lack and the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night. Kesler fired a high shot past Antti Raanta to help Vancouver end a two-game losing streak. Mike Santorelli was successful in the first round as the Canucks improved to 2-4 in shootouts. Patrick Sharp had Chicagos only shootout score against Lack in the third round. Lack, a rookie backup, said he got some advice from No. 1 goaltender Roberto Luongo and just tried to react. "When youre in it, you dont really think about it," Lack said. "Its just like the AHL. Youre just focused on what youre going to do next, and anticipate it." The Canucks were playing their second game in two nights and third in four overall. But it also was a good time for Vancouver to turn to Lack after Luongo gave up soft goals at critical times in the previous two games, both losses. Lack entered in the second period of Vancouvers 4-1 loss at Dallas on Thursday after Luongo allowed four goals on 19 shots. Lack made 24 saves against Chicago in his seventh start of the season and game No. 10 for his career. Then he stopped Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews in the shootout. Marian Hossa hit the post, and Lack poke-checked the puck away from Brandon Saad. "He stopped some world-class players there in Toews and Kane right off the bat, and that set us up for the win," Kesler said. Vancouvers Daniel Sedin tied it at 2 with 9:12 left in the third period. Zack Kassian also scored for the Canucks, who trailed 2-0 after Kane set up Kris Versteegs score in the first, and then scored his team-leading 21st goal in the second. "We came in late last night, and usually the first 10-15 minutes, you try to survive," Sedin said. "We did that, I thought we knew if we kept it close wed have a chance." Kane has six goals and 14 assists duringg an 11-game point streak, helping him climb into second in the NHL scoring race behind Pittsburghs Sidney Crosby. Juan Bernat Bayern Munich Jersey. He also has at least one point in 23 of his last 24 games. Raanta, also a rookie backup, had 22 stops in his sixth straight start since No. 1 goalie Corey Crawford suffered a lower-body injury on Dec. 8. The Canucks killed all four Chicago power plays to improve to 30 for their last 31 on the penalty kill. Vancouver, which entered with the NHLs best penalty-killing percentage, ended Chicagos string of power-play goals in 10 straight games. "I thought our power play might have let us down a little bit tonight," Kane said. "We didnt really create any momentum off of it and they probably got momentum off them killing them off, so its something well try to improve on." The Canucks had trouble clearing the puck early in the first and the Blackhawks took advantage. Versteeg opened the scoring at 7:49 on a deflection of Kanes shot from just inside the right point. Leveraging two power plays, the Canucks dominated early in the second and launched the first nine shots of the period. Raanta stopped them all during the flurry, including Sedins deflection from the slot. Kane then capitalized on Chicagos first chance in the period. Lack stopped Johnny Oduyas drive from left wing, but Kane jumped on the rebound. Kassian cut to 2-1 at 8:19 when he snapped off a shot from the right circle. It went between the legs of Chicago defenceman Brent Seabrook and past a screened Raanta. Santorelli had a chance to end the game in overtime but he hit the side of the net, just wide of the right post, after he broke in alone. NOTES: The Blackhawks recalled veteran G Jason LaBarbera from Rockford of the AHL. With Crawford still out, Chicago acquired LaBarbera from Edmonton last week. ... Vancouver was without injured D Alex Edler (knee, eighth game) and D Ryan Stanton (ankle, second game). ... NEW YORK, N. Curt Schilling Diamondbacks Jersey .Y. - Miami guard Dwyane Wade has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for making an obscene gesture during the Heats 78-76 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.Rod Thorn, the NBAs president of basketball operations, announced the fine Thursday night.Wade stuck out his middle finger at some fans at the end of the third quarter in the game at Charlottes Time Warner Cable Arena. Tyler Clippard Jersey .J. -- Patrick Sharp is on one of those streaks. Archie Bradley Jersey . First reported by FOX Sports Ken Rosenthal, its unknown if the impetus for the deferral proposal came from players or management, but it never left the preliminary stages.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Just 300 days after putting his name in the record books with the longest field goal ever, Matt Prater is history. At least in Denver. The Broncos cut ties Friday with the eighth-year kicker whos about to come off his four-game suspension. That means first-year kicker Brandon McManus has turned his temp job with the AFC champs into a full-time one. From the moment the Giants traded him to the Broncos in late August, McManus looked at Denver not as a stopover but as a destination. He said last month that his aim was to convince the Broncos he, and not Prater, was their man.Still, he was surprised hed done just that.I mean, Matt had a great year last year and hes done very well for himself. I still consider him in the top three kickers in the NFL, McManus said. Just the chance the Broncos are giving me (shows) the confidence they have in me and Im excited with that opportunity.GM John Elway said releasing Prater, the longest-tenured member of the team, was a very difficult football decision. But perhaps an easy financial choice: Prater was due $2.294 million in base salary this season and $3.25 million next year. McManus is making $420,000 this season and $510,000 next year.Thats a difference of more than $4.6 million, money that could come in handy as the Broncos turn their attention to long-term deals with Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Chris Harris Jr.McManus, Elway said, has earned the opportunity to continue kicking for our team with how well hes played to start the season. He has a very strong leg and we have confidence in him on both field goals and kickoffs. This summer, McManus pushed Giants incumbent Josh Brown just as he had Adam Vinatieri in Indy a year earlier. By sticking with McManus, the Broncos owe New York a seventh-round draft choice in 2015.Prater had given the Broncos reason to fret not only with his continued slip-ups but also with a poor performance in the preseason, something he blamed on his pending punishment weighing on him.Prater has been in the NFLs substance-abuse program, which includes alcohol,, since a DUI arrest on Aug. Paul Goldschmidt Jersey. 12, 2011. He was originally facing a ban for a full season but his lawyer negotiated a four-game ban instead.Prater said he realized one more strike meant hed face sitting out an entire calendar year when he had some beers not long after the Super Bowl. Why did I risk it? Prater said back on Aug. 25. I made a mistake. I dont have an excuse for it. I screwed up and now Im paying the price for it.That price got heavier Friday.Prater led the league last year by making 25 of 26 field goals, including a record-setting 64-yarder against Tennessee. He also led the NFL with 81 kickoff touchbacks.Prater missed two of four field goal attempts in the preseason, including a 49-yarder in an 18-17 loss to Houston after learning before kickoff that hed be suspended.McManus didnt face a clutch kick in Denvers first three games, but he did everything he was asked, making a trio of short field goals and all eight of his extra points. He also allowed just two returns on 16 kickoffs.Ive been very impressed with him, coach John Fox said. Hes got great potential. Hes a great young kicker.Broncos holder Britton Colquitt said Prater wont be out of a job for long.I think there will be at least 20 teams trying to put offers in, Colquitt said. And hell be able to have his choice, because hes that good. No one can argue with that. Hes probably just in the middle of his career. He could be at Kansas City or Oakland or San Diego. Some fans took to Twitter to criticize the Broncos for jettisoning Prater when they stuck by two front office executives who were arrested on drunken driving charges in 2013, one of whom is serving a work-release jail sentence.Anytime you make football decisions in an organization, especially with somebody thats been with you for a period of time like Matt, its always difficult, Fox said. But its always a football decision, whats going to give us the best chance in our opinion. And I wish Matt nothing but the best moving forward.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
