Gallagher hasn't had a point in the four games he's played since returning from a hand injury. After registering 19 goals in only 53 games last season, he has six in 43 outings so far this year.
Among top forwards, centre Phillip Danault and left winger Artturi Lehkonen haven't scored in their last 13 games. Tomas Plekanec has gone 12 games with a goal. Paul Byron has gone 10 while Alexander Radulov is in a five game rut. Alex Galchenyuk has a goal and two assists in his last 10 games.

There is no federal law requiring presidential candidates to release their returns, but every major party nominee since 1976 had done so.
"By failing to disclose his tax returns, Donald Trump has ignored a long tradition of transparency supported by presidents of this country for the last 40 years," said state Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D Bergen), a co sponsor.
The state Assembly, also controlled by Democrats, is scheduled to vote on the measure Thursday.
If it's approved, Gov. Chris Christie would need to sign the legislation for it to become law. And that's unlikely, considering Christie is a Republican and a longtime Trump friend and ally.
Critics say Trump releasing his returns could reveal whether he and his business ties have any conflicts of interest especially with foreign entities, like Russia. Trump has denied having such connections.
