The NFC dominated the AFC in interconference matchups this season in a fashion the conference hadn’t done since the first year of the merger.

The NFC won 41 of the 64 head-to-head matchups against the AFC Chiefs Dorian O'Daniel Jersey , with the .641 winning percentage being the best for the NFC since going 27-12-1 in 1970 against the upstart AFC for a .688 winning percentage.

Since the NFL went to the eight-division format in 2002, this marked just the third time one conference won at least 60 percent of its games against the other conference, with the AFC going 40-24 in 2006 (.625) and 44-20 in 2004 (.688).

The NFC won all four division matchups this season, led by the NFC West going 12-4 against the AFC South. The NFC North went 10-6 against the AFC North, the NFC South also took 10 of 16 games against the AFC East, and the NFC East held a 9-7 edge over the AFC West.

Cleveland and the Jets were the only teams to go winless against the other conference, while the Rams, Carolina and even last-place Chicago all swept the four games.

The discrepancy is easily noted in the playoff race, where three teams with 8-7 records are still in the hunt in the AFC, while Seattle is in danger of missing the playoffs with 10 wins in the NFC.

NO NIGHT GAME: There is not Sunday night game to end the NFL season this year. None of the matchups could guarantee that any night contest would have significance.

For example, had Carolina at Atlanta – the best matchup of the 16 games – been switched to the evening and Seattle lost in the afternoon Packers JK Scott Jersey , the Falcons would already have qualified for the offseason. If New Orleans were to beat Tampa Bay in the afternoon, the Panthers would be stuck as the No. 5 seed.

Plus, it’s New Year’s Eve, when the viewing audience might not be as big as previous Sundays, and flexing a game to night time on that day might not have made much sense.

NBC likely will get some compensation from the league down the road, probably an additional prime-time game next season. But competitively, it seems a wise move to not play Sunday night.

”This is a long-term partnership,” said NBC spokesman Greg Hughes, ”and this was the best decision for the parties concerned here: the NFL the fans and us.”

NUMB TO NUMBERS? Demaryius Thomas isn’t really into numbers, but he knows he’s 108 yards shy of reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the sixth straight season.

”Everybody telling me” is how he keeps track http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/joseph-noteboom-jersey , he said. ”Last week I knew it was 160 because I found out in the meeting. Of course I’m going to remember. I was never a number guy, but hey, that’s a cool thing to know.”

Thomas said he’d cherish the accomplishment, especially considering the Broncos this season have cycled through three quarterbacks:- Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch, who gets his second start Sunday against Kansas City.

”Being able to come out and do that with three different quarterbacks … it says a lot,” Thomas figured.

Thomas turned 30 last week, but that’s one number he isn’t worried about.

”Not at all. I don’t even know how old I am,” Thomas said. ”I feel like I’m 20-something. I’m young. I still got the juice, baby. Can’t act like it didn’t happen, but as long as you got the juice Cheap Lamar Jackson Jersey , 30 is the new 20 and 50 is the new 30.”

QB RUNS: Carolina’s Cam Newton and Seattle’s Russell Wilson have a chance to join the rare fraternity of quarterbacks to lead their team in rushing for a season.

Newton is barely ahead of teammate Jonathan Stewart headed into the season finale, while there is no question that Wilson will end up leading the Seahawks in yards rushing. Newton has 695 yards this season to Stewart’s 680. Wilson has 550 yards rushing, which is 300 yards more than any of Seattle’s stable of running backs, a group that has done very little all season.

Chris Carson, who hasn’t played since Week 4, still has the most yards rushing by a Seattle running back with 208.

Newton has done this before, leading the Panthers in rushing in 2012. Others QBs who have led their team in rushing include Donovan McNabb with Philadelphia in 2000, and Randall Cunningham for the Eagles in three straight seasons (1988-90).

TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Jay Cutler has lived in a hotel near the Miami Dolphins’ complex for the past five months, while his wife and children remained back home in Nashville. It’s a small price to pay for coming out of retirement to sign a $10 million, one-year deal as an emergency replacement for an injured Ryan Tannehill.

Cutler’s contract made the long-term hotel stay affordable.

”It was cool at first,” he said. ”Maid service every day Cheap DJ Chark Jersey , that’s kind of nice. You get the on-demand movies, but they don’t change as often as you would like. It’s kind of a monthly thing. So after you watch them all in a month, you’ve got to wait a little while.

”But it was fine. I wasn’t there that much.”

Cutler will start Sunday’s season finale against Buffalo, and it might be his career finale. At any rate, he’ll be ready to check out of the hotel.

”I did get the points,” he said. ”That’ll pay off somewhere down the line, right?”

Daily/Weekly fantasy football leagues get the most press nowadays but they are still FAR in the minority of desired games that fantasy football participants like playing. Granted Authentic Kolton Miller Jersey , we will be offering DFS leagues, but there is no reason to worry about those games right now since they will not start until September 13th. Long before then, the majority of people playing fantasy football will be registering their season-long private fantasy football leagues and joining their season-long public fantasy football leagues.

Maximum Fantasy Sports has the most robust customizable league options available in the industry which helps us retain our devoted customer base. For those wanting to take advantage of our unique features but don’t have enough people for a private Commissioner League or prefer to play for higher stakes Authentic Jaire Alexander Jersey , we have created numerous public fantasy football leagues that utilize these options. Once our DFS leagues are released for 2015, we will also incorporate similar settings that make sense for these league types. Our 2015 public fantasy football leagues are listed below and come in a range of entry fees/payouts ranging from free to $250 per person. Payout amounts differ with the entry fees but will always be 90% of the total pot collected. Playoffs begin in week 14 and also feature a Toilet Bowl for all Head-to-Head leagues.

Traditional leagues (available in Live Draft and Autodraft) – 10-team head-to-head league featuring the most widely-accepted positions and scoring system: 1 QB, 2 RBs Authentic Fred Warner Jersey , 3 WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 D Patriots Adrian Clayborn Jersey , 1 K. Full configuration settings are found here.
PPR leagues – 10-team Live Draft head-to-head league resembles the Traditional league but an additional starting RB/WR swing position is added and the scoring system awards a point per reception and RB/WR TDs drop to 4 points each with bonuses awarded (extra 1 or 2 points) for longer TDs. Full configuration settings are found here.
TD Only leagues – 10-team Live Draft head-to-head is a big departure from Traditional fantasy leagues and harken back to the days of scoring on paper when the Commissioner made life easy on himself and only needed to score points for Touchdowns. TD scoring only is what you will find here so you won’t have to worry about drafting any idiot kickers. TD points vary with the distant of the touchdown. Full configuration settings are found here.
League Average leagues - 10-team Live Draft head-to-head league resembles the Traditional league but an additional starting RB/WR swing position is added and the scoring system matches the standard except for ranges for the kicking and defensive statistics. The twist in this league is you will receive 2 decisions per week; one versus your H2H opponent and one versus the League Average (average score of the starting lineups for that week). This league type awards higher-scoring teams more than standard H2H. Full configuration settings are found here.
Bye Week Rollover leagues - 10-team Live Draft head-to-head league resembles the Traditional league but an additional starting RB/WR swing position is added and the scoring system matches the standard except for ranges for the kicking and defensive statistics. The twist in this league is you will be able to choose players the week before they are on Bye and determine if you want their points for that week to also carry-over to their Bye week, thus locking in two weeks (good or bad). Full configuration settings are found here.
In-game change leagues - 10-team Live Draft head-to-head league resembles the Traditional league but an additional starting RB/WR swing position is added and the scoring system matches the standard except for ranges for the kicking and defensive statistics. The twist in this league is you will be able to change players at the half. This helps if you have a player that is hurt or underperforming. Of course, the first half is locked in already and you will only be able to replace the second half with another player’s half that is currently open (either first or second half). Full configuration settings are found here.
Total Point leagues - 10-team Live Draft Total Point league resembles the Traditional league but an additional starting RB/WR swing position is added and the scoring system matches the standard except for ranges for the kicking and defensive statistics. The twist in this league is that the standings are based off of the total points accumulated over the course of the season by your starting lineup. This league truly awards the highest scoring team. This league runs a full 17-week season and has no playoffs. GREEN BAY Cheap Vita Vea Jersey , Wis. (AP) Aaron Rodgers’ potential return from a broken collarbone took a major step forward this week. But, as Rodgers has said all along, there has to be a reason to return.

The Packers quarterback, who is on injured reserve, went through a conditioning session on Wednesday that included taking snaps and mimicking the throwing motion with a towel. It was his first time doing anything football-related on the field since suffering the injury at Minnesota on Oct. 15.

”I think he’s making really good progress,” coach Mike McCarthy said before Thursday’s practice. ”I know the training staff and the strength and conditioning staff are very pleased with where he is. He’s moving right along.”

For the Packers to stay in the playoff chase Saints Marcus Davenport Jersey , they will need consistent production out of their running game, regardless of who is carrying the ball in their banged-up backfield.

In last weekend’s victory at Chicago, rookie starter Aaron Jones suffered a knee injury and backup Ty Montgomery re-injured the ribs that were broken during the first matchup against the Bears on Sept. 28. Rookie Jamaal Williams, who had rushed only twice in the previous four games, carried the load with 20 carries for 67 yards in the second half.

McCarthy said Jones is out for ”multiple” weeks and Montgomery missed the first two days of practice this week. The Packers (5-4) probably will move forward with Williams, a fourth-round pick Bills Harrison Phillips Jersey , and Devante Mays, a seventh-round pick, when they host the Baltimore Ravens (4-5) on Sunday.

The Packers will need those two to produce. The Ravens’ third-ranked pass defense and blitz-heavy scheme will provide the biggest test to date for Brett Hundley, who will be making his fourth NFL start. Baltimore’s 28th-ranked run defense has been vulnerable at times.

After carrying the ball 11 times in the first eight games, Williams ended up with a heavy workload against Chicago.

”I feel comfortable because every week I go in like I’m still the No. 1 back,” Williams said. ”I work as hard as I’ve always done.”

Mays hasn’t played a snap from scrimmage in the team’s nine games.

”I’ve been waiting Rams Brian Allen Jersey ,” Mays said. ”I’ve got to take advantage of this and show everybody who I am and that I’m ready.”

Rodgers can’t practice until Dec. 2, one day before a home game against Tampa Bay. If Rodgers is healed and the Packers are in the playoff hunt, he could return to the lineup for the Week 15 game at Carolina on Dec. 17. The Packers close the season with a pair of games against the top teams in the NFC North: home against Minnesota and at Detroit.

”We’ve still got to wait but it’s good to see,” linebacker Clay Matthews said. ”At the same time, we’ve still got to hold up our end of the bargain and steal a few wins throughout these next several weeks in hopes that we’ve got a shot with him coming back. We started with one last week. Hopefully, we can get another one this week.”

Notes: The injury report was unchanged from Wednesday http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/justin-reid-jersey , with Jones, Montgomery, S Morgan Burnett (groin) and RT Bryan Bulaga (knee) not practicing. . CB Kevin King, who missed the final few snaps against Chicago with a shoulder injury, was limited for the second consecutive day.

ST. PAUL Cheap Markus Wheaton Jersey , Minn. (AP) Carson Wentz sat in the stands and soaked in the experience while his teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles took part in Super Bowl media night.

A torn ACL ended the MVP contender’s season, but he’s doing everything he can to be supportive and help the team beat the New England Patriots.

“I don’t know anyone more competitive than myself,” Wentz said Monday night. “Wanting to be out there is definitely tough, but I get over that pretty quick and just be around these guys and things are going as well as they can be.”

Wentz spoke for about 25 minutes Cheap Taven Bryan Jersey , answering questions about his injury, backup Nick Foles, and several queries about his faith.

“I’m super excited for these guys and for Nick. We’re so close,” he said. “He understands the pressure of not only playing in this game but playing in Philly and everything that’s involved in that. I just tell him to be yourself Authentic Todd Frazier Jersey , play your game and when he’s done that, he’s played great. I couldn’t be happier for his success. He’s a great guy.”

Wentz didn’t want to take any spotlight off his teammates or be a distraction, but the second-year pro plans to be part of many Super Bowl weeks, so he thought it was important to see it up close.

“I’m going to use this as a learning opportunity and motivation Authentic Dorian O'Daniel Jersey ,” he said. “Being here and seeing this all week, it’ll give me an edge to want to be back without a doubt.”

Wentz revealed last week that he tore his LCL along with his ACL in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams. He’s already walking without crutches or a cane – he was on crutches on the sideline in the divisional round against Atlanta, then used a cane while watching the NFC championship game against Minnesota – and hopes to be ready for the season opener in September.

“Ever since he went down, I don’t think he hasn’t been a part of every element of the team Lions Sylvester Williams Jersey , coaching and working with Nick,” owner Jeffery Lurie said. “That’s just who he is. He’s someone drawn to being great, really bright and humble at the same time … and a great leader at age 24 who is incredibly popular.”

CHICAGO -- In his first season in the big leagues, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has managed to avoid hitting the rookie wall. Charlie Coyle Jersey .As for hitting baseballs, thats a different story.Ive been having fun with it, said Anderson, who has hit safely in 17 of his past 19 games to increase his average to .285. Ive been going out and playing hard. Im still figuring out what kind of hitter I am.Anderson will try to stay hot Sunday as the White Sox (62-66) wrap up a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners (68-61). Chicago has won two of the series first three games.Left-hander Carlos Rodon (4-8, 4.02 ERA) looks to continue a recent hot streak when he takes the mound for the White Sox. Rodon is 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA in his past four outings, all of which have been quality starts. In two career starts against Seattle, he is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 13 innings.Right-hander Taijuan Walker (4-8, 4.14) will start for the Mariners. The highly touted 24-year-old has endured an up-and-down campaign that has included a monthlong stint on the disabled list and a brief demotion to Triple-A Tacoma earlier this month.Walker allowed four runs (three earned) in 5 2/3 innings against the New York Yankees on Tuesday in his first start since rejoining the big-league team. In three career starts against the White Sox, he is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA (six earned runs in 16 innings).Seattle manager Scott Servais would prefer a long start from Walker, who has pitched six innings only once in his past six outings. However, if Servais needs to lean on his bullpen, he has a few fresh arms.Rookie right-hander Dan Altavilla pitched a scoreless eighth in his big-league debut Saturday night. The Mariners selected Altavillas contract from Double-A Jackson, where he posted a 1.91 ERA with 16 saves. He relies upon a fastball and slider and hopes to emulate the success of right-hander Edwin Diaz, who also made the leap from Double-A to the majors. In addition, the Mariners promoted veteran relief pitcher Pat Venditte from Triple-A Tacoma. The 31-year-old offers Servais an unusual option -- a pitcher who can throw both left-handed and right-handed.Venditte posted a 5.19 ERA with seven strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings with the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this season. He went 2-2 with a 4.40 ERA in 26 appearances with the Oakland Athletics in 2015. During his career, he has faced 69 batters as a right-handed pitcher and 94 batters as a left-handed pitcher. He gives us a lot of options, Servais said. Ive actually known Pat for a long time. Hes from Omaha, he went to Creighton, and my uncle was the head coach there at Creighton. I saw Pat pitch way back in college when my uncle first told me about him. He was a walk-on, kind of came from nowhere. (He is a) self-made guy, a very good competitor who has made his way through the minor leagues.Coming out of our bullpen, he can face the tough lefties earlier in the game with what he has, and then he can also flip around and go right-handed. Left-handed, its not as much velocity, its more breaking ball. Right-handed, he throws a little bit harder. He does it with guile and know-how and competitiveness. Radwanska, making her debut in the Seoul tournament, hit eight aces in a match that lasted 1 hour, 4 minutes at Olympic Park tennis stadium. The paddles go up in the air as the boats slide through red or green gates, then the furious wind milling begins again. For a sport that doesnt get the attention of some of the more well-known ones, whitewater canoe and kayak has plenty of action and drama.A few things to look for in whitewater canoe/kayak at the Rio Olympics next month:THE LOWDOWN: The four canoe/kayak slalom events will be held Aug. 7-11, with medals award the final three days. Men compete in single and double canoe, along with kayak. Women compete in kayak only. The races will take place at the Whitewater Stadium in Deodoro on a steep 250-meter course that has between 18 and 25 gates. Green gates are negotiated with the current, red against it. Paddlers are assessed a two-second penalty for hitting a gate and 50 seconds for missing one completely.EUROPEAN DOMINANCE: European countries have dominated the sport since its inception at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and show no signs of letting loose of their stranglehold. In mens canoe slalom (C1), European counties have won every medal but one since the 1992 Barcelona Games, when the sport was put back into the Olympic program after a 20-year absence. Europe has accounted for all but one medal in kayak (K1) and 16 of 18 medals in two-person canoe (C2) during that span. Women have had a little better chance breaking through the European stronghold, with paddlers from the U.S. and Australia combining for six of the 18 medals since Barcelona.AMERICAN MEN: The United States team has two paddlers with solid chances to earn medals in Rio. Kayaker Michal Smolen, who emigrated from Poland as a child, was unable to compete at the 2012 London Games due to a delay getting his his citizenship, but should make a strong run to the podium this time around. Smolen earned bronze at the 2015 world champioonships and has times that compare to the best paddlers in the world. Cheap Wild Jerseys Online. Not bad for someone who was terrified of the water when he first started kayaking at 8. Canoeist Casey Eichfield will be competing in his third straight Olympics and will try to pull off a double, competing in C1 and C2 with Devin McEwan. Eichfield finished fourth at world championships and was in the top 15 his previous two Olympics.NEES RELIEF: Womens kayaker Ashley Nee had a rough road to her first Olympics. She qualified for the 2008 Beijing Games, but injured a shoulder during a test event and wasnt able to completely recover in time for the Olympic trials, finishing fourth. Nee had enough points to qualify for the 2012 London Games, but was edged out by Caroline Queen on a tiebreaker. Nee won the Olympic trials this May, yet still didnt have a spot secured; she had to await a decision by the International Canoe Federation to award the United States an additional athlete quota spot. Now at 27, shes headed to her first Olympics.C1 OPENING: Mens single canoe has been dominated by two paddlers the past five Olympics: Michal Martikan of Slovakia and Frances Tony Estanguet. Starting with the 1996 Atlanta Games, those two won every gold medal in C1; three by Estanguet and two by Martikan. There will be a different champion in Rio after Estanguet retired and Martikan, the only canoe slalomist to win five Olympic gold medals, failed to make the Slovakian team for Rio.KEEP AN EYE ON: Kayaker Jiri Prskavec of the Czech Republic is the type of paddler who could be uncatchable if hes on his game. His father, Jiri, was a two-time Olympian and the younger Prskavec has a chance to make bigger waves in Rio. He was the 2015 world champion and has five medals in world championship competition. In a year that already has proved to be massive for the UFC, with one major card after another, UFC 205 on Nov. Bryan Rust Jersey . 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York looks to be the biggest and most important of them all. In honor of such a marquee event, ESPN.com is providing dedicated previews to all 13 bouts on the card, breaking down whats at stake and projecting who will win, along with quotes and statistics for each fighter.Lightweights: Jim Miller (27-8) vs. Thiago Alves (21-10)Odds as of Nov. 2: Alves (-165), Miller (+145)Dana Whites thoughtsJim Miller is always exciting. You never watch a Jim Miller fight and go, Oh, what happened? That guy just didnt show up tonight. Hes one of those guys who just goes. Hell stand with you if you want to stand, but hes also great on the ground and has had some great ground wars. And Thiago, I think everybody the last couple years has been moving around weight classes and if hes still the Thiago we used to know at this new weight, that should be a really good fight.Whats at stake?Miller: From retirement talk to win streak in less than six monthsA strange feeling came over the veteran Miller on March 5 as he stepped into the Octagon to fight Diego Sanchez at UFC 196. It was something he had never felt in his entire career. That was the first time I actually kind of didnt want to be there, Miller said. That was a tough one for me, and it was for a million different reasons.Miller, 33, decided long ago that whenever his career ends, it will happen immediately after a fight, while hes still inside the cage. He wants that farewell moment on the microphone, to let his fans know its over. In order to guarantee that moment, Miller said he has to know ahead of time, going into a fight, that its his last one.He thought that was going to be the case at UFC 200 in July. After performing poorly and not feeling right at UFC 196, Miller asked for a fight at UFC 200. He figured it was the perfect time and place to say goodbye. But when he got into that fight camp, Millers body responded better than he thought. Things turned around quickly and he ultimately decided that wouldnt be his last fight. He has won two in a row since. It started off like it would be my last run, but I got back to feeling like my old self, Miller said. Its different now. I know what its like when Im off, but I also know when Im feeling good. I know by the results in the gym -- theyre back to where they should be, where they used to be a couple years ago.It went pretty quickly from All right, lets just get through this and put on a show to I think I can stay in this for a while.Alves on weight cut: Im gonna make all these lightweights payAlves is tired of looking up to the opposition -- literally. The veteran welterweight will make his long-awaited lightweight debut at UFC 205, and hell do it without the assistance of longtime nutritionist Mike Dolce. Alves is working with a new nutrition group ahead of his first cut to 155 and feels confident about the process, even though he actually has struggled in the past to make the 170-pound limit.Im gonna make weight and Im gonna feel great -- thats actually the slogan of the company Im working with, the 5-foot-9 Alves said. I know the morning of the weigh-in, Ill have the whole world asking, Is he gonna make it? Thats exciting for me because I love to prove people wrong.Ill be one of the biggest lightweights in the division. I had to lose 10 pounds of muscle and 10 pounds of fat. Ive lost a lot of muscle and Im gonna make all these lightweights pay for that s---. We shouldnt be losing muscle, man, especially doing what we do, but thats what was necessary and my body feels great.I was just giving up a lot of reach and height as a welterweight. All my last fights, these guys were 6-foot-2. Its tough fighting giants.Alves, 33, has never recaptured the magic of a seven-fight win streak that led to a title shot at UFC 100 in 2009. But in a new weight class, under a new lifestyle, he doesnt think it will take long to get a title shot.A lot has changed since the last time I fought [in May 2015], Alves said. Im a father now. I got married. You guys used to see the young, dumb Pitbull. Now youve got an adult.Im not looking ahead. I know Ive got to get through Miller first. But I think it makes complete sense to give me a top-5 opponent next and then the title. Thats the goal.Statistical comparisonMiller: 27-8 record (16-7 UFC); on two-fight win streakMiller: 16 wins in UFC lightweight division tied for most all time with Gleison TibauAlves: 21-10 record (13-7 UFC); first fight since May 2015Alves: 11 knockdowns landed in UFC fights, tied for eighth most all timeBreakdownAlves said it in plain English: Hes looking forward to fighting opponents with less reach. His knockout power stacked up fine at 170 pounds, but the same wasnt always true of his frame. That doesnt mean he wasnt (or still couldnt be) effective at that weight, but you cant blame him for dropping down.Although he has expressed confidence, its worth asking how that cut to 155 will go. Miller likely will look to set a high pace on the bigger man and his grappling can be deadly, especially if his opponent tires. He does have a tendency to get into prolonged exchanges, which is good for his entertainment value but perhaps bad against a dangerous finisher like Alves.PREDICTION:?Miller by third-round submission. Supercars great Jamie Whincup is one win from a century of career race victories after a dominant display on Saturday in Townsville. The Red Bull Racing driver led from wire-to-wire in the 200km race at the Reid Park street circuit to charge to his 99th career win and extend his lead in this years championship standings.Whincups second victory of the season is his eighth overall in Townsville - a tally which more than doubles any other driver at the north Queensland venue. After claiming his first pole position of the season earlier in the afternoon, Whincup charged to an unassailable six-second lead with just five laps to go in the 70-lap race. But former Bathurst winner Nick Percats steering failure forced a late safety car which compressed the field and obliterated the margin Whincup had built up.Using the buffer of two lapped cars between him and his rivals at the restart, Whincup pulled clear again in the last two laps to win by 3.5 seconds from teammate Shane Van Gisbergen. The six-time Supercars champion said he had expected late drama.Thats an entertainment safety car, that one, Whincup said.Although the car probably was in the wronng spot.
