RALEIGH, N. Roberto Perez Jersey .C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes havent had much to celebrate lately. Against the New York Rangers, its been years. The Hurricanes changed both story lines Tuesday night with a 3-1 win against the Rangers. Carolina made the most of a goal and assist from both Jordan Staal and Jiri Tlusty to snap a 10-game losing streak against New York. "You have to wake up and just be confident in our game and our system and keep moving forward and looking ahead," Staal said. "The last couple games weve had havent been a great result, but our effort has always been there. Its nice to get a good result." Carolina had lost seven of eight to fall well behind in the Metropolitan Division race. The Hurricanes were outscored 30-16 in that stretch. Elias Lindholm added an insurance goal for Carolina late in the third period. Cam Ward made 24 saves for his first win since Dec. 31. "It has been a struggle for myself," Ward said. "I havent had that much of an opportunity to get back in there. . When you dont play, you put so much emphasis on one game that it can get you thinking too much. Tonight, (I was) just be able to shut it off and have some fun." Kevin Klein had the Rangers goal, scoring for the first time since being acquired from Nashville on Jan. 22. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 32 shots. "Not that I dont want to give credit to Carolina because they played a good game, but we (gave) away two points because we didnt work," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "I have not said that very often about the group this year, but right from the start, our work ethic wasnt what it needs to be in this league to have any chance." The Rangers had outscored the Hurricanes 40-19 in the teams previous 10 meetings, including a 4-2 road victory on Friday. Before Tuesday, Carolinas last win against the Rangers was Jan. 20, 2011. The Rangers, 8-4-1 in their past 13 games, remained one point ahead of Philadelphia for second place in the Metropolitan Division. "I think we have to make a lot better decisions with the puck, especially in our own end," forward Derek Stepan said. "Offensively, were a pretty skilled team, but to win hockey games, we have to make sure we do the dirty work in our own end and make good decisions. I felt like tonight we made it a little bit too easy for them to get in front and create chances." Carolina took a 1-0 lead just 33 seconds into the second period. Alexander Semin worked hard to control the puck in the offensive zone, eventually feeding it back to Andrej Sekera at the point. Sekera passed to Staal along the goal line, and Staal slid the puck under defenceman Anton Stralman to Tlusty for a one-timer that beat Lundqvist. New York tied it 1-1 just 3:49 later when Mats Zuccarello found Klein trailing the play on a rush. Klein was open in the slot, and his wrist shot went above Wards left shoulder. Carolina took a 2-1 lead with 1:42 left in the second. Staal outraced Stralman for the puck along the boards in the Rangers zone and knocked it in front of Lundqvist. Tlusty gathered the puck to the right of Lundqvist and fed it back to a wide-open Staal before New Yorks defence could recover. Lindholm finished the scoring with 5:29 remaining off a rebound of Jeff Skinners original shot. "I think we played a really strong 60 minutes of hockey," Carolina coach Kirk Muller said. "There was still a lot of fighting with these guys. . Hopefully tonight is that big win that we build on." NOTES: Carolinas Jay Harrison played in his 300th NHL game. ... The Hurricanes John-Michael Liles missed his second straight game with an upper body injury. ... Stepan had a six-game point streak snapped. Stepan had one goal and eight assists in that span. Abraham Almonte Indians Jersey . -- Top-ranked Stacy Lewis birdied the last three holes and five of the final six Thursday for an 8-under 64 and a share of the lead with Mi Jung Hur in the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. Larry Doby Indians Jersey . The Canadiens captain, who underwent surgery on his injured biceps in the off-season, had been skating with the team in a non-contact capacity since last week.NEW YORK -- Nearly halfway through their homestand, more than halfway through their season, and the only move the New York Knicks are making is backward. Evan Turner scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Thaddeus Young made a key 3-pointer on a play the Knicks admittedly botched, and the Philadelphia 76ers send New York to a fifth straight loss with a 110-106 victory on Wednesday night. Blowing a favourable portion of their schedule, the Knicks fell to 15-27, a season after losing 28 games total in winning the Atlantic Division. "This is the time right here to make up ground and were not," guard J.R. Smith said. "Were playing better on the road than we are at home and it should be the other way around if anything." Michael Carter-Williams and Young each added 19 points for the 76ers, who won for just the second time in nine games. James Anderson finished with 18 points as Philadelphia outrebounded New York 54-39 to snap a three-game skid. "Our team was good tonight. We played good team defence and we ended it with rebounds," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "So Im happy that we came in here and found a way to get a win and it was through our defence." Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points after a slow start for the Knicks, who were at least competitive after losing the previous four by a combined 75 points. They are 0-3 on an eight-game homestand that matches a franchise record. But its not helping the Knicks at all, as they started their second half with another loss after going 15-26 through the midpoint of their schedule. With that in mind, Brown said he expected to see an "angry team" that wanted to fix things. Instead, the Knicks started slowly and finished poorly. "I really dont know what it is, why we cant play well on our own home court," Anthony said. "This should be the time where we gain some momentum, gain some confidence as a team playing here on our own home court, but that dont seem like its the case right now." After trailing most of the game, the Knicks ran off 10 straight points to open the fourth quarter and take a 90-84 lead on Tim& Hardaway Jr. Manny Ramirez Indians Jersey. s three-point play. Philadelphia then held New York without a basket for more than 5 minutes and moved back into the lead at 96-92 on consecutive 3-poiners by Carter-Williams and Turner. "Really big for us to come back," Carter-Williams said. "We stayed together, stayed as a team, shared the ball at the end and we executed down the stretch." Smith ended the Knicks drought with a 3-pointer, but baskets by Young and Anderson pushed it to 100-95. New York had one last chance when it got within two, but Young made a wide-open 3-pointer and Turner followed with a basket for a 107-100 cushion that sent fans for the exits. The Knicks said they knew what the Sixers would do on the possession that ended with Youngs open look from the top of the key, but coach Mike Woodson said they "botched it up." Andrea Bargnani scored 20 points for the Knicks in his return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench Monday in a loss to Brooklyn. Woodson wanted to return to the bigger lineup similar to the one that beat the 76ers in the last meeting. But the Knicks also had Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin for that game, and both are out now with sprained left ankles. The loss to the Nets was a tumultuous holiday for the Knicks, as their blowout loss was followed by quotes from Anthony that seemed critical of his teammates effort and Chandler that appeared to question coach Woodsons defensive strategy. They probably didnt feel much better after this one, losing to a team they had defeated eight of the previous 10 times. "Weve got to believe that we can win a game," Woodson said. Anthony missed all four shots and had just one point in the first quarter while the 76ers hit 56 per cent for a 33-26 lead. He came back with 13 in the second, helping the Knicks pull to 61-56 at halftime. NOTES: Sixers F Brandon Davies had surgery for a broken right small finger. The Sixers said Davies, hurt Saturday against Chicago, will be re-evaluated in two weeks, though Brown said hes expected to be out longer. ... The Knicks are worth a league-high $1.4 billion, according to a ranking in Forbes. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

(SportsNetwork. Reggie Jackson Angels Jersey .com) - The Calgary Flames hope to shake off a recent lopsided loss when they visit the Florida Panthers for Saturdays matinee at BB&T Center. The Flames had won three straight and the first two tests on a five-game road trip before getting slammed 5-2 by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Cedric Paquette scored the first two goals of his NHL career to lead the Bolts to Thursdays easy victory at Amalie Arena. Jiri Hudler and Sean Monahan scored in Calgarys first loss in four games. The Flames also had a four-game point streak (3-0-1) halted, suffering their first regulation setback since losing 3-1 to Washington on Oct. 25. Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller also had a streak end. He gave up four goals on 32 shots and suffered his first regulation loss in his last eight appearances (6-1-1). I think we were forcing things, Flames defenseman Mark Giordano said. They took advantage. Calgary aims to bounce back today when it shoots for a seventh win in 10 meetings with the Panthers. The Flames have claimed two straight in the series overall and have won three of the past four encounters in Florida. The Panthers enter Saturday on a two-game slide having lost both tilts on a brief road trip. Florida earned a point in Tuesdays 2-1 overtime defeat versus Boston, but lost 4-1 in Thursdays game at Philadelphia. Four different Flyers scored goals against the Panthers, while Steve Mason stopped 34-of-35 shots for the win. Philadelphia earned a bit of revenge after losing a 2-1 decision in Florida last Saturday. Nick Bjugstad provided the sole marker for the Panthers on Thursday. His tally cut the deficit to 3-1 midway through the second period, but Jakub Voracek answered just 39 seconds later for the Flyers. You score and kind of get back into a game, and they answer right back, Panthers center Rocco Grimaldi said. Their crowd jumped back to life. Its a tough thing, but something weve got to bounce back from. Roberto Luongo, who made 36 saves in last weeks win over Philly, allowed all four goals on 30 shots in Thursdays defeat. Luongo has started 10 of Floridas 11 games over backup Al Montoya this season and he could get the call again on Saturday. In 42 career games against Calgary -- all starts -- Luongo is 25-13-3 with a 2.44 goals against average. Although Hiller is 4-0 with a 1.25 GAA in his career versus the Panthers, backup Karri Ramo will get the start on Saturday. Ramo is 2-1-0 with a 2.28 GAA in three lifetime starts against Florida. Custom Los Angeles Angels Jersey . COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defenceman Tim Erixon to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass. Jorge De La Rosa Rockies Jersey . Erixon skated in two games for Columbus earlier this season and was a healthy scratch in the Blue Jackets 5-2 win over Washington on Thursday night. In 51 career NHL appearances with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers, Erixon has seven assists. Trevor Story Rockies Jersey . -- John Fox will coach the Denver Broncos from the sideline and not the booth upon his return Sunday five weeks after heart surgery. Jake McGee Rockies Jersey . - Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II says the NFL has told the team it will not be docked a pick in this years draft for coach Mike Tomlins foray onto the field against Baltimore last November. The Toronto Maple Leafs look for their second straight win on Tuesday when they host the New York Islanders at Air Canada Centre. Listen to the game on TSN Radio 1050 Toronto at 7pm et. The club dropped three in a row before ending the slump with Saturdays 4-2 win over visiting Buffalo. James van Riemsdyk scored twice to lift the Maple Leafs to a win Saturday in the back end of a home-and-home series with the Sabres. Mason Raymond posted a goal and an assist while Nikolai Kulemin also scored for Toronto. James Reimer posted 33 saves in the victory. Reimer is 4-2-1 with a 3.43 goals against average in his career against the Islanders. Fellow Toronto goaltender Jonathan Bernier has never faced the Isles. Torontos Phil Kessel will be in the lineup for tonights contest after the star winger sat out practice on Monday with a bout of the flu. Kessel is leading Toronto this season in both goals (10) and points (19). Meanwhile, Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bozak returned to practice Monday for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury on Oct. 25. Bozak is eligible to come off the injured reserve on Thursday, but its unclear if he will be able to play in Torontos game that night against Nashville. The Islanders try to win consecutive games for only the second time this season. The Islanders last won back-to-back outings on Nov. 1 and 2 against Ottawa and Boston, respectively. New York is coming off Saturdays home shootout victory over Detroit, although that win did come at a cost as goaltender Evgeni Nabokov suffered a groin injury early in the affair. Nabokov had sat out the previous three games before returning to action on Saturday against the Red Wings. His return didnt last long, however, as the 38-year-old veteran left 4:12 into the game after facing only one shot. Carlos Gonzalez Jersey. . Nabokov was placed on injured reserve on Monday and could miss a month of action or more. Kevin Poulin, who is 2-1-0 in his last three decisions, stopped 19-of-22 shots through overtime in his relief effort on Saturday. He also turned aside Detroits Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk and Todd Bertuzzi in the shootout phase to seal the 5-4 triumph for the Isles. "He battles hard, he competes really hard," Islanders captain John Tavares said about Poulin. "Hes a confident guy and did a great job obviously in the shootout." With Nabokov on the shelf, Poulin will assume the starters role. The Islanders also recalled netminder Anders Nilsson from their American Hockey League affiliate in Bridgeport to serve in a backup role. Frans Nielsen scored the lone shootout goal on Saturday, while Tavares registered a goal and an assist for the Islanders, who once again played without winger Thomas Vanek. The Austrian forward has missed the past four games after playing in just six games with New York following a trade with Buffalo last month. Vanek, who has five goals and seven assists in 19 total games this season, will not play tonight. Saturdays win allowed New York to complete a three-game homestand with a 2-1-0 record. The club will play its next three on the road and is just 3-6-0 as the guest this season. The Isles have won three straight and four of their last six games in Toronto. New York has claimed three of four overall in this series. The Maple Leafs, however, are boasting a strong 7-2-0 mark on home ice this season and are beginning a four-game stay at the ACC tonight. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

NEW YORK -- The head of the NFL players association says the union wants to hold the league and its teams accountable for confidential information about draft prospects being leaked. http://www.hockeycapitalsnhl.com/authentic-nicklas-backstrom-capitals-jersey/ . Combine drug test results and medical information about players have been reported by various media outlets leading up to the draft, which starts Thursday night in New York. Incoming players are not represented by the union until they are drafted. Still, NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith says the union is concerned the league is not properly treating its future members. Smith told a small gathering of reporters on Wednesday: "We are reviewing the potential actions that the union can take on behalf of those players." He says the union is looking into "civil, regulatory and potentially CBA remedies that we could pursue." http://www.hockeycapitalsnhl.com/authentic-andre-burakovsky-capitals-jersey/ . Maximilian Arnold put Wolfsburg ahead in the eighth minute, when the stationary Fallou Diagne allowed him to guide Patrick Ochs cross beyond the helpless Freiburg goalkeeper, and Ivica Olic doubled the lead three minutes later after Luiz Gustavo did well to set him up. http://www.hockeycapitalsnhl.com/authentic-john-carlson-capitals-jersey/ . - Kentucky freshmen Stanley Boom Williams, Dorian Baker, Drew Barker and Tymere Dubose have been charged with disorderly conduct for their involvement with air pistol shots being fired near a residence hall on the South campus Sunday night. The youngest superdraft pick in MLS history happens to be a 19-year-old raised in Bolton, England. Harrison was a freshman at Wake Forest University in North Carolina before he was selected first by Patrick Vieiras New York City FC in the 2016 MLS Superdraft to become the Frenchmans first signing in charge of the club.Born in Stoke-on Trent and raised in Bolton, Harrison spent seven years at Manchester Uniteds academy before moving to USA aged 14. He scored 24 goals and had 33 assists at high-school level before a stand-out single year at college, which saw him selected to play professionally in Major League Soccer.Unfortunately, he arrived to New York harbouring a pelvic injury, spending time in rehab with former Chelsea star Frank Lampard. But the 19-year-old made his debut on Saturday, coming off the bench in the 57th minute against fierce rivals New York Red Bulls. His team-mates were already 5-0 down, conceding a further two to lose 7-0.New York City remain second in the Eastern Conference, though, and ahead of a game against Orlando City on Sunday, we asked Harrison 10 quickfire questions...How are you finding life in New York? Harrison was drafted first in the 2016 MLS Superdraft in January I love it. Having spent time in and out of New York at Manhattan Soccer Club [as a teenager] I had a little feel for it then.It was always a great experience being with them but now Im here its just a whole new experience and Im really enjoying it so far.Why did you leave Manchester Uniteds academy to play soccer in America? My contract was still with Manchester United but my Mum was looking to further my education as well as my soccer career. When we looked at schools in America, the facilities and everything were just out of this world. To be able to get that educational piece as well as maintain a different level of soccer, it was good enough, and I learnt enough at school. It was one of the better moves that Ive done in my life. Its enabled me to become the person I am today and who knows what wouldve happened if I stayed there [at Manchester United]. Im just thankful to have been given the opportunity to come here. What is it like playing with Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo and David Villa? Harrison spent time with Frank Lampard while both were injured at the start of the season Its a dream come true. I grew up watching these players and it still amazes me, four months in, that I get to see these guys every day, talk to them about the game and just get their perspective on things. Are the star names approachable and easy to get advice from?Thats the nicest thing about them really is that they dont think of themselves as any better than anyone else. They like to relate to the other guys and give them advice. Theyre really approachable, especially for a young guy like me, I was doing a bit of rehab with Frank and he was giving me some great advice. I got to know him really well. How would you describe your debut? The New York derby was one to forget for New York City FC as they lost 7-0 to their rivals in MLS It took the pressure off a little bit, being 5-0 down at the time, but Patrick told me to go out there and have fun and thats exacctly what I did. http://www.hockeycapitalsnhl.com/authentic-marcus-johansson-capitals-jersey/. The fans have just been so supportive the whole time and I just couldnt ask for any more.As a new player coming in, everyone made me feel so welcome since the moment Ive got here.To finally get out there was a big relief and was very exciting, especially as my Mum was able to make it out for my debut. How did you mentally get through the injury setback? Harrison is thankful for the support he received while he was out injured It was a new experience for me, Ive never really been out for that long before. It was tough for me coming in as a new player. It just felt a bit different, and I felt a little bit out of place at first, but I just kept doing my work, and doing my rehab and doing what the medical staff had to say. Being around Frank and those guys really helped me out a lot. [Teammate] Conor Brandt was a massive help for me, making me feel so comfortable right away and it was great. How did it Patrick Vieira react after the game after suffering a 7-0 loss? Patrick Vieira made Harrison his first NYCFC signing He took out the positives and thats what he does best. He makes the most out of a bad situation and at the end of the day its three points. If you take a step back and look at the league table, and where we are, were not in a bad league position. Were still in a good position and as long as we bounce back from it better than ever and come back stronger then thats the main thing. What is your personal aim for the season? As a new player and a rookie in the league I would like to come in and just make a stance really, impact the game as much as I can, and it would be nice to make the starting 11. New York City fans booed Frank Lampard as he was substituted on during their 7-0 home defeat against rivals New York Red Bulls Do you have ambitions of playing in England?Eventually Id like to come back to Europe and have the pressure of playing in the likes of the Premier League.Thats always been a dream of mine since I was young. For now, this is a great place to start with the guys around me and the coaching staff.Im learning so many new things already so this will be a good starting point. For me, Id hopefully be able to make that move later on in my career. You play Orlando City this weekend, does it excite you playing against the likes of Kaka and Julio Baptista? Kaka is Orlando Citys captain Thats something thats special. I grew up watching these guys so to be on the same team or playing against them is just amazing really. Its just a great experience that not many people can say they have so hopefully well be able to take it to them this weekend.Watch New York City v Orlando City live on Sky Sports 3 HD from 9am on Sunday, May 29. Brightons experienced players have been crucial in the clubs promotion push this season, according to manager Chris Hughton. Derek Holland Rangers Jersey . Hughtons side will be targeting their seventh consecutive win in the Sky Bet Championship when they host top of the table Burnley on Saturday lunchtime, live on Sky Sports 1HD.Currently four points behind with eight games to play, second-placed Brighton remain unbeaten in their past six home matches, and Hughton has credited having experienced players as the reason for their good position in the league. Brighton and Burnleys clash on Saturday is expected to be a sell-out I think its been pivotal for us this season and thats the reason why we started well, he said.We brought some of that experience on early in the pre-season which I felt helped us settle everybody down and give us a little bit more of a focal point and theyve been important for us all season. Its a wonderful position to be in. I look at where we were at this stage last season, its very, very different and these are the type of games, these are the type of challenges that you really want to be involved in. Tomer Hemed scored twice in six minutes against MK Dons to put Brighton into the automatic promotion spots However, despite a good record at home, Hughton has not underestimated his opponents ability to play away from home.Burnley are a fabulous side, he added. They have a system that they know very, very well, theyve got goalscorers and, in particular, Andre Gray who has been outstanding. They just do what they do very well, home or away. The reverse fixture in November ended 1-1, with both goals coming inside the first five minutes.More recently, Burnley have not lost in their last 10 matches, but Hughton is still hopeful they will be able to close the gap to Sean Dyches side. The game on Saturday is a big game because of where we are in the division and certainly at the start of the season our supporters wouldnt have seen this so anything can happen, he said. Its a big one because it means its point they dont get. Jose Abreu hit his major-league leading 11th homer in the fifth, but the White Sox couldnt overcome a shaky start by John Danks (2-2), who allowed eight runs in five innings. The Indians placed All-Star second baseman Jason Kipnis on the 15-day disabled list prior to the game with a pulled muscle in his side. Cleveland pitchers Corey Kluber and Cody Allen wore chicken outfits during batting practice while standing in the outfield in an attempt to help the team out of its funk. The strategy apparently worked. Santanas RBI single, Raburns two-run double and Gomes two-run single highlighted Clevelands first inning. The fast start was enough to hold off the hard-hitting White Sox, who lead the AL in runs scored but have lost three in a row. Abreu struck out against Salazar in his first two at-bats, but homered to left on a 3-2 pitch in the fifth. The rookie sensation also leads the league with 33 RBIs. Salazar worked out of a bases-loaded, no-outs jam in the fourth. The right-hander struck out six and won for the first time since Sept. Delino DeShields Rangers Jersey. 25 of last season, also against Chicago. Kipnis absence hurt the Indians immediately as his replacement, Elliot Johnson, committed two errors. Both of the miscues came on dropped throws on potential force plays. The first came in Chicagos three-run second inning. The second helped the White Sox load the bases with nobody out in the fourth, but Salazar got out of the inning. The White Sox scored three times in the second on singles by Alejandro De Aza and Adrian Nieto and a passed ball by Gomes. Alexei Ramirez, the ALs leading hitter, was 2 for 4 and is batting .356. Dayan Viciedo, the third-leading hitter in the league, was hitless in three at-bats and is batting .337. Nieto got his first major league RBI in the second and had a career-high three hits. Chicago has lost seven straight at Progressive Field last season. The White Sox lost their final 14 games against the Indians in 2013 before taking three of four at home last month. NOTES: Kipnis is expected to miss three to five weeks. ... Adam Eaton left the game with a strained right hamstring in the fourth after hitting into the double play. ... White Sox LHP Chris Sale (left flexor strain) played catch before the game, but will not be activated off the 15-day disabled list when he becomes eligible Saturday. The two-time All-Star will play long toss Monday in Chicago. ... White Sox RHP Felipe Paulino (right rotator cuff irritation) will make a rehab start Saturday at Triple-A Charlotte. ... Indians RHP Justin Masterson (0-1) looks for his first win in his seventh start against RHP Scott Carroll (1-0) Saturday. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

WASHINGTON -- Buffalo Sabres interim head coach Ted Nolan said Sunday the organization was surprised by prospect Mikhail Grigorenkos decision not to report to a junior club in Canada. Jason Heyward Cubs Jersey . "We knew obviously players would be disappointed when something like that happened," Nolan said, "but no indication that he wouldnt report." The Sabres assigned the Russian centre to the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Saturday, hoping the 19-year-old former first-round draft pick would get some top-line minutes. Grigorenko has struggled to adapt to the NHL in parts of two seasons, with eight points in 43 career games since he was selected No. 12 overall in 2012. But Grigorenko says he wont go to Quebec. He apologized on Facebook on Saturday, adding: "We just need to find a place for me where I can develop and be the best hockey player I can be." Nolan said he doesnt know what the next step will be for Grigorenko and Sabres team president Pat LaFontaine. "Its one thing that you learn -- what you can control, what you cant control," Nolan said. "Him and Pat will take care of that." The Sabres would prefer that Grigorenko play for their Rochester AHL affiliate, but an agreement between the NHL and the Canadian Hockey League doesnt allow teenagers to play in the AHL. Buffalo tried to send Grigorenko to Rochester on a conditioning assignment in November, but the NHL denied the request. Grigorenko has played well in previous stints in juniors, posting 139 points in two seasons with Quebec, including 30 goals in 33 games last season. "P.K. Subban played four years in Belleville, and he turned out pretty good," Nolan said of the Montreal Canadiens defenceman. "Junior hockeys a good place to develop." Grigorenko recently returned from the world junior championships in Malmo, Sweden, where he led Russia to the bronze medal with eight points in seven games. Sammy Sosa Cubs Jersey .ca. The Raptors contingent - which included Dwane Casey, Jay Triano and Larry Tanenbaum - pulled out all the stops trying to sell Canadas own Steve Nash on a move to Toronto. After a two-hour meeting, highlighted by a video presentation featuring hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, the Raptors left Nash with a generous offer. Days later he turned them down, opting for less money and a better shot at a championship in Los Angeles. Colangelo went forward with his Plan B, a trade for Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry. Now the Raptors find themselves in a similar predicament, only this time the approach couldnt have been more dissimilar. They didnt send a front office mob, there was no video cameo made by The Great One. This time they left the kitchen sink in Toronto. Instead, Raptors GM Masai Ujiri and head coach Dwane Casey had a quiet sit down with Lowry in his hometown of Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon. True to form Ujiri and his coach exuded confidence. Calm, cool and collected, the Raptors brass did not find it necessary to camp out on Lowrys front porch at 12:01 AM, the time in which teams were able to officially commence negotiation with free agents. Their sales pitch centred on a simple premise, one that the team had already been preaching publicly for months - they want him back. What they didnt say, and would be reluctant to admit, is that they need him back. Rightly or wrongly, the perception that players dont want to come to or stay in Canada has dogged the Raptors since their inception. After all, Nash wasnt the first player to spurn the Raptors. Theres a long history of it in fact. Damon Stoudamire was the first star to want out, followed by Vince Carter - the franchises best player - seven years later. Tracy McGrady and Chris Bosh each bolted via free agency, while both Kenny Anderson and Alonzo Morning refused to even put on the jersey. The new regime intends to snuff that stigma once and for all. Along with MLSE boss Tim Leiweke and global ambassador extraordinaire Drake, Ujiri has helped empower a fan base that had lost hope prior to their arrival a year ago. Javier Baez Jersey. "Why cant I change it," Ujiri said, challenging that perception as he was introduced as the Raptors new GM last June. "Its our job to make it better, its our job to make it good, its our job to create a winning environment and thats why Im here." With the embattled franchise finally on the precipice of turning the page and changing a culture that has beset them for the better part of the last 20 years, the stakes are much higher now than they were in 2012 when they struck out on Nash. For all the progress the Raptors made in 2014, turning heads as a result of their breakout campaign, spirited playoff run and We The North campaign, the wind could be taken out of their sails in a hurry should Lowry fly the coop, especially if he leaves for Houston or Miami. This is their first big test, one they dont intend to - and cant afford to - fail. Lowry is Torontos No. 1 priority, theyve made no secret of that. "Were going to go full force," Ujiri promised last week. And they have. The Raptors initial offer to Lowry was substantial, said to be in the $11-$12 million range annually over a four or potentially five-year term. A salary in that range would make Lowry the seventh highest paid point guard in 2014-15, not including Kyrie Irving whose max extension wont take into effect until the following season. Of course, theres more to Ujiris pursuit of Lowry than just pride. The Raptors GM would happily show Lowry, or any other player the door if he felt theyre not worth their price tag. Like any other investment, Lowry is a calculated risk but the Raptors are betting the 2013-14 version will be more of the norm than an anomaly going forward. Its because hes a player worthy of the money that Ujiri has done - and will continue to do - everything in his power to keep Lowry in a Raptors uniform. Still, the decision belongs to Lowry. The 28-year-old will take a few days to weigh his options with his family and agent Andy Miller as Raptors fans hold their collects breath. With Torontos 20th year anniversary season around the corner, keeping Lowry would go a long way in the continued saga to rewrite the franchises troubled history.   Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys decided one year with Monte Kiffin as defensive co-ordinator and Bill Callahan as play-caller was enough. http://www.baseballnationalsmlb.com/authentic-joe-blanton-nationals-jersey/ . Kiffin was demoted Tuesday in favour of defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, and Scott Linehan was hired as the passing game co-ordinator who will call plays. The staff shuffling -- the second in as many years -- comes after the Cowboys gave up the most yards in franchise history and finished last in the NFL in total defence and had their worst offensive output in yardage since 2005. "If you look at staffs around this league and rosters all around this league, theres change from year to year," Garrett told The Associated Press. "And the teams that embrace the change are the ones that have the most success and again we feel like from a system standpoint, the systems on offence and the systems on defence, remain in place." Kiffin and Marinelli came to Dallas together last year after the Cowboys fired defensive co-ordinator Rob Ryan and decided to switch to a four-man front with three linebackers following nearly a decade in the 3-4 defence. Quarterback Tony Romo will have his third play-caller in as many seasons after Garrett had that role in 2012. There was even a change in the middle of this past season when Garrett reinserted himself by relaying the calls from Callahan to Romo. "Its not really a concern at all," Garrett said. "Weve had the same offensive system in place here for seven years. We feel like the transition will be really relatively smooth for everybody." Garrett is entering the final season of his contract and is coming off three consecutive 8-8 seasons that extended the clubs playoff drought to four straight years. Garrett said Callahan will remain on staff in 2014, also the final year of his contract. He will keep his titles of offensive co-ordinator and offensive line coach. "Just like you would with a player, guys are always in roles that tend to evolve and change," Garrett said. "If you have the right kind of guys on your team, they embrace those roles, understand the objective is to try to help our team first and foremost. Bill knows that." Linehan, the former St. Louis coach who was Detroits offensive co-ordinator the past five seasons, gave Garrett his first coaching job in the NFL in 2005 when he was offensive co-ordinator in Miami. Garrett was his quarterbacks coach that season. "He and I have a real comfort level with each other," Garrett said. "Philosophically, were on the same page. He has a comfort level with our system of football. The other thing hell bring is some new blood and some freshness to it." The Lions finished sixth or higher each of the past three years in total offence, while the Cowboys slipped to 16th, their lowest since 2002. While improving dramatically in takeaways on defence under Kiffin, the Cowboys gave up the first two 600-yard games in franchise history and surrendered 40 first downs for the first time in league history. Their 6,645 yards allowed were almost 1,000 more than the previous club record from 2012. Garrett said Kiffin, who will turn 74 next month, will serve more as a mentor who will "help coach coaches and coach players" after spearheading the transition to the 4-3 defence. Marinelli was Chicagos defensive co-ordinator for three years under Lovie Smith before Smith was fired in 2012, when the Bears led the league in interceptions (24) and takeaways (44) and were third in points allowed. "The success he had in Chicago as a co-ordinator speaks for itself," Garrett said. "To have him as a point person is exciting and to have Kiff in the overseeing role is again something we think is good for our team." The Cowboys now have three former head coaches on the staff in Callahan, Marinelli and Linehan, who was 11-25 in two-plus seasons as coach of the Rams. He was fired after an 0-4 start in 2008 and joined the Lions a year later when Jim Schwartz was hired as head coach. Schwartz was fired last month.http://www.baseballnationalsmlb.com/authentic-jayson-werth-nationals-jersey/ . The group will be trimmed to a final 23-man squad after a friendly game against the Netherlands on May 31, the Ghana Football Association said. AC Milans Essien and Schalkes Boateng were named after returning to international football last year. They had both asked for time away from the national team in the years after the last World Cup. Ghana captain and striker Asamoah Gyan and midfielder Sulley Muntari were also included and are set to play in their third consecutive World Cups. Ghana was the best-performing African team at the 2010 tournament, reaching the quarterfinals and just missing out on the semifinals after a penalty shootout loss to Uruguay in South Africa. Ghana will play the United States, Germany and Portugal in Group G in Brazil, and opens its campaign against the U.S. in Natal on June 16. Ghana beat the U.S. in the second round of the last World Cup. Coach Kwesi Appiah didnt reveal what his target was for the team that nearly became the first African nation into the last four of a World Cup four years ago. "Once the players are all fit we hope to deliver," Appiah said. "Every coach has a target and l believe in my players and the national team, but l cannot tell where we will gett to. http://www.baseballnationalsmlb.com/authentic-anthony-rendon-nationals-jersey/. . The only thing l can say is we will not disgrace Ghanaians." Essien missed the 2010 World Cup through injury and is likely facing his last chance to play at the showpiece in Brazil. Boateng stepped down from national team duties in 2011 but was recalled to Ghanas squad toward the end of the World Cup qualifying campaign late last year. Ghana will play in its third straight World Cup in Brazil. Appiah also picked Marseilles Andre Ayew, Juventus Kwadwo Asamoah and young attacking midfielder Wakaso Mubarak. Defender Jeffrey Schlupp, who plays for Englands Leicester City, was the biggest surprise in the initial squad. The GFA announced Monday that Ghana would play the Netherlands in Rotterdam on May 31 and South Korea in Miami on June 9 in its final World Cup warm-ups before facing Jurgen Klinsmanns U.S. team in Brazil. ___ Provisional squad: Goalkeepers: Adam Kwarasey, Fatawu Dauda, Stephen Adams. Durham, NH (SportsNetwork. Omar Vizquel Jersey .com) - New Hampshire has the nations top ranking and No. 1 playoff seed to motivate opponents, but the Wildcats announced they feel ready for the challenge by dispatching Fordham, 44-19, in the second round of the FCS postseason Saturday. UNH (11-1) extended its school-record winning streak to 11 games as its began its 11th straight appearance in the playoffs. The Wildcats will host eighth- seeded Chattanooga (10-3) in the national quarterfinals next weekend. The CAA Football champions had terrific offensive balance with 274 passing yards and 270 rushing yards. Nico Steriti rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries to fuel the win, while quarterback Sean Goldrich passed for 240 yards and had 48 yards and a touchdown on the ground. If it wasnt for Fordham freshman sensation Chase Edmonds (208 rushing yards, 385 all-purpose yards, one touchdown), the score could have been worse for the Rams (11-3), the Patriot League champions who were coming off a first-round win over Sacred Heart. New Hampshire had six sacks of Fordham quarterback Mike Nebrich in the games first nine minutes and threatened to swamp the Rams. Jimmy Owens scored on a 51-yard run on the Wildcats first offensive play and Goldrich capped their second drive with an 8-yard scoring run on 4th-and-2 as they built a 14-0 lead in the games first 6 1/2 minutes. But two turnovers by New Hampshire kept the Rams in the game and they pulled within 14-12 in the second quarter on Edmonds 91-touchdown run and two Michael Marando field goals. The Wildcats then regained firm control of the game by halftime. Steriti scored on an 11-yard touchdown run with 3:07 left in the second quarter and Brad Prasky kicked a 30-yard field goal to end the half, pushing their lead to 24-12. Steriti scored on two more runs (1 and 7 yards) in the third quarter to sandwich around a Fordham score that was set up Edmonds 65-yard kickoff return and New Hampshire led 37-19 after three quarters. Steriti added his fourth touchdown on a 24-yard touchdown with 4:48 to play. Nebrich, averaging 312.5 passing yards per game, was held to 161 yards on 12- of-30 passes with one touchdown and one interception. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Chattanooga 35, Indiana State 14 Chattanooga, TN - The Southern Conference had a subpar season after the departure of its traditional FCS playoff teams, but new power Chattanooga clearly is as good as ever The Mocs followed the lead of junior quarterback Jacob Huesman as they gained their first playoff win with a 35-14 triumph over Indiana State in the second round. Huesman accounted for 394 yards and three touchdowns as No. 8 Chattanooga advanced to the national quarterfinals. The Mocs (10-3) will visit top-ranked and top-seeded New Hampshire (11-1) next weekend. Chattanooga has won the last two SoCon titles. Georgia Southern and Appalachian State, who won a combined nine national titles in the FCS, have left the conference for the FBS level. Huesman rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries, and completed 15-of-24 pass attempts for 241 yards and one touchdown. Keon Williams rushed for another 70 yards and a touchdown as the Mocs kept a balanced attack and outgained Indiana State (8-6) 503 yards to 178 while holding the ball for 42 minutes, 57 seconds. Chattanooga had lost its only other playoff game in 1984, but the Mocs grabbed control of the game in the first quarter. On the games third play from scrimmage, Mocs safety Semaje Kendall intercepted Indiana State quarterback Mike Perish at the Sycamores 30-yard line and returned the ball to the 3. One play later, Williams scored just one minute into the game. The Mocs balanced out the short possession with a long scoring drive, going 90 yards on 14 plays, with Huesmans 1-yard run pushing the lead to 14-0 at the 5:03 mark. Indiana State, a Missouri Valley Football Conference member coming off a playoff win against Eastern Kwentucky, cut its deficit in half on Perishs 75- yard touchdown pass to A.J. Johnson with 51 seconds left in the first quarter. But Huesmans 29-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Hudson with two minutes left in the first half pushed Chattanoogas lead to 21-7 by halftime. Huesman then capped the opening drive of the second half with a 1-yard touchdown run to put the Mocs ahead, 28-7. The drive went 84 yards over 11 plays. Chattanooga won despite place-kicker Henrique Ribeiro missing all three of his first-goal attempts. The Mocs forced three turnovers, including two interception of Perish. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Coastal Carolina 36, Richmond 15 Conway, SC - Coastal Carolina could have stewed for the last two weeks over a blocked field goal attempt on the final play of the regular season, which spoiled its perfect record. Instead, the Chanticleers went out and did something about. Seventh-seeded Coastal took its frustration out on Richmond with a 36-15 rout in the second round. Coastal (12-1) next meets Saturdays survivor between South Dakota State and second-seeded North Dakota State in the national quarterfinals next weekend. This is the second straight season in which the Chanticleers have reached the round of eight. The only blemish on Coastals record was the 15-14 loss to Liberty to end the regular season on Nov. 22. The Chanticleers had a 24-yard chip shot blocked to end that game and were forced to share the Big South Conference title with Liberty. But coach Joe Moglias squad, coming off a first-round bye, played with focus in ending Richmonds season one week after the visiting Spiders (9-5) eliminated Morgan State from the playoffs. The Chanticleers rushed for 316 yards to overcome Richmond quarterback Michael Strauss 402 passing yards. Coastal Carolina clung to a 6-0 lead late in the second quarter until they capped an 11-play, 58-yard drive with Alex Ross 13-yard touchdown pass to tight end Craig Weick with 33 seconds left in the first half. Austin Cain ran in the two-point conversion and the Chanticleers had a 14-0 halftime lead. It got much worse for Richmond in the third quarter. Andre Johnson scored on a 9-yard run to give Coastal a 21-0 lead at the 12:13 mark. The Spiders answered with Strauss 76-yard touchdown pass to Brian Brown to pull within 21-7. But Henderson broke off a 50-yard touchdown run on the Chanticleers ensuing drive and Ross scored from 1 yard out just before the end of the quarter to push the lead to 36-8. Henderson finished with 134 yards on 19 carries and Ross was 22-for-41 for 171 yards and a touchdown, adding 52 yards on the ground. Senior linebacker Quinn Backus was dominant as he led the Coastal defense with 10 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, 1.5 tackles for losses, two pass break-ups and two quarterback hurries. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Illinois State 41, Northern Iowa 21 Normal, IL - Illinois State enacted revenge for its only loss of the regular season by pounding Northern Iowa, 41-21, in a matchup of Missouri Valley Football Conference teams in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The result was surprisingly one-sided after Northern Iowa won the regular- season meeting, 42-28, at home, but fifth-seeded Illinois State (11-1) kept its two-season home winning streak intact while powering into the national quarterfinals next weekend. They will face Saturdays second-round survivor between Montana and fourth-seeded Eastern Washington. Illinois State, which has won 13 straight games at Hancock Stadium, built a 24-0 halftime lead to dispatch of UNI (9-5). Quarterback Tre Roberson finished with 382 yards and four touchdowns through the air and running back Marshaun Coprich had 148 yards and a score on the ground. Illinois State scored on its first three drives to take a commanding 21-0 lead. Roberson connected on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Meredith to cap the games opening drive and then Coprichs 29-yard run on the Redbirds second possession set up his 1-yard score to make it 14-0 with 8:16 left in the first quarter. The Redbirds third drive began midway through the first quarter and ended in the first minute of the second quarter after they went 87 yards in 15 plays with Roberson and Meredith connected on a 2-yard touchdown pass. Nick Aussiekers 45-yard field goal to end the first half pushed Illinois States lead to 24-0. The Redbirds had a 345-52 advantage in offensive yards and a 16-3 advantage in first downs in the half while holding the ball nearly twice as long as the Panthers. James OShaughnessy (four receptions, 115 yards) caught two touchdowns in the second half and joined Meredith (seven receptions, 105 yards) with over 100 receiving yards. Northern Iowa All-American David Johnson had only 48 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries, but he finished with 108 yards on four kickoff returns and another 30 yards on five receptions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sam Houston State 37, Jacksonville State 26 Jacksonville, AL - When Sam Houston State had a 1-3 record, the Bearkats were just looking for any victory, let alone reaching the FCS playoffs. The Bearkats turned their season around and won for the second time in the playoffs on Saturday, dispatching third-seeded Jacksonville State, 37-26, as quarterback Jared Johnson accounted for four touchdowns. Sam Houston (10-4), under first-year coach K.C. Keeler, will play either Liberty or sixth-seeded Villanova in the national quarterfinals next weekend. The Bearkats, making their fourth straight playoff appearance, have won seven straight games and nine of their last 10 since falling to Division II Colorado State-Pueblo on Sept. 13. They shared the Southland Conference title with Southeastern Louisiana and then eliminated the Lions in the playoff first round a week ago. Johnson completed 13-of-19 pass attempts for 161 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. The Bearkats trailed 26-24 at halftime after Jacksonville States Connor Rouleau ended the first half with a 42-yard field goal. Johnson then connected with LaDarius Brown for a second touchdown pass - this time a 49-yarder - to put Sam Houston ahead, 30-26, with 8:03 left in the third quarter. The Bearkats defense stopped Jacksonville State (10-2) on downs at the Sam Houston 43. On the sixth play of the Bearkats ensuing drive, Jalen Overstreet scored on a 33-yard run to push the lead to 37-26. Overstreet finished with 83 yards on 10 carries. Jacksonville State, the Ohio Valley Conference champion whose 10-game winning streak ended, outgained Sam Houston 513 yards to 402, but quarterback Eli Jenkins threw two interceptions in addition to rushing for one touchdown and passing for one. Gamecocks tailaback DaMarcus James carried the ball 19 times for 128 yards and a touchdown. Running back Keshawn Hill caught Johnsons other touchdown pass. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- FCS Playoff Second Round All Times ET South Dakota State (9-4) at No. 2 seed North Dakota State (11-1), 3:30 p.m. Montana (9-4) at No. 4 seed Eastern Washington (10-2), 4:30 p.m. Liberty (9-4) at No. 6 seed Villanova (10-2), 4:30 p.m. Anthony Gose Tigers Jersey . Dee Milliner, a major part of Rex Ryans defence in his second season, was helped from the practice field after injuring his left ankle. A half-hour earlier Sunday, rookie Dexter McDougle was carted off after tearing a ligament in his left knee. "Those things happen and its unfortunate, but youve got to move on," Ryan said before the team announced the severity of McDougles injury. "Who plays in their place, Ive got to find out whos still out there." Veteran Dimitri Patterson, projected as a possible starter opposite Milliner, missed practice for the second straight day with ankle and calf injuries -- making the Jets secondary extremely thin. Their next preseason game is at Cincinnati next Saturday. Milliner, expected to be the teams No. 1 cornerback, went down after defending wide receiver Quincy Enunwa on a long pass and writhed in pain on the sideline at SUNY Cortland. "He came down and rolled his ankle," Ryan said. Trainers rushed over to Milliner, the teams No. 1 draft pick last year, and examined him. "I was focusing on the ball," Enunwa said. "He might have run into me or something. Id have to go back and look at it, but I dont know honestly what happened." Added quarterback Michael Vick: "It hurt me to see Dee on the ground." Milliner got up after several minutes, but didnt put any weight on his leg before being carted to the medical tent. Milliner grimaced while trainers placed his foot in a tub of ice. He was then carted to the locker room. Ryan didnt want to speculate as to whether Milliners ankle was sprained or broken, but thought the fact he was told he rolled it would indicate it could be a sprain. Milliner struggled as a rookie last year before rebounding with a solid final month. After parting ways with Antonio Cromartie in thee off-season, the Jets envisioned Milliner being their top cover guy -- and he said during camp he had the confidence to believe hes the best cornerback in the league. Custom Detroit Tigers Jersey. McDougle was expected to make an immediate impact, either as a backup or potentially as a starter over Patterson. The third-round pick out of Maryland was hurt during a 1-on-1 drill with wide receiver Stephen Hill, who jumped over the cornerback to catch a pass. McDougle went down, tore off his helmet and stayed on his back as fellow cornerback Darrin Walls and wide receiver David Nelson came over to check on him. "I guess he came down, a cleat got caught," Ryan said. "I just listened and was there for him, but he felt a sharp pain, and that was it." He walked off the field, but was eventually carted to the locker room to be further examined. "Thank you everyone who has sent me your support and prayers," McDougle wrote on his Twitter page. "This is a tough blow but I promise, I will be back better than ever. (hashtag)GodSpeed." McDougle missed nearly all of last season at Maryland with a shoulder injury, and said he teared up while standing on the field at MetLife Stadium last Thursday night before making his NFL debut. "I know he was like, Oh, youve got to be kidding," Ryan said. Ryan said both Milliner and McDougle would have MRI exams to check on the severity of their injuries; the team was still awaiting results on Milliner. With them sidelined along with Patterson, Walls and Ellis Lankster worked with the starters. Kyle Wilson, Johnny Patrick, Ras-I Dowling and Brandon Dixon are the only remaining cornerbacks. Backup Jeremy Reeves has been hobbled with a knee injury. "Itll be adversity for some and opportunity for others," Ryan said. TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays have avoided salary arbitration with outfielder Colby Rasmus and pitchers Brett Cecil and Esmil Rogers, signing them to one-year deals. Mark Messier Oilers Jersey . Rasmus will make US$7 million next season, while Rogers will earn $1.85 million and Cecil will take home $1.3 million. Rasmus tied a career high with a .276 batting average last season, hitting 22 homers and driving in 66 runs. Cecil, a left-handed middle relieved, was named to the American League all-star team in 2013. He went 5-1 with a 2.82 earned-run average and 70 strikeouts. Rogers, a right-handed starter, went 5-9 with a 4.77 ERA and 96 strikeouts. Andrej Sekera Oilers Jersey .com) - Real Madrid claimed its 20th consecutive win across all competitions by cruising to a 4-1 victory at Almeria on Friday. Esa Tikkanen Jersey . Alvarez hit his first career home run, pitched six innings and hurt his right hamstring while running the bases in the Miami Marlins 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs.It was back in 1991 that Stephen Ames got a taste of what life in Canada would be like. For a guy raised in the tropical temperatures of Trinidad, it was a rude Calgary welcome. "I think the wind chill was minus-55," he said recalling his first Canadian winter spent living in the basement of his mother-in-laws house. "I never left the house." Ames has never really grown fond of winter, but he has certainly fallen in love with Canada. On Wednesday, the country paid him back for that by naming him to the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. A four-time winner on the PGA Tour including the 2006 Players, Ames is winding down his career on the regular tour and preparing to join the 50-and-over gang on the Champions circuit in April after reaching the magic age of 50. For most of this year, hell split his time between the two tours using his top 50-career money list exemption on the PGA Tour. When asked what he thought the difference between the two tours would be, Ames said it might have to do with what happens off the course. "I think its the 19th hole," he said with a chuckle. "I think its a bit more relaxed after the round." Ames would be a worthy inductee based solely on his playing record, but his contributions to Canadian golf go well beyond that. He has run the Stephen Ames Cup for the past decade, a team event that pits squads from Canada against those from Trinidad. Some of the youngsters who have participated in that event have gone on to earn U.S. college scholarships. And he was instrumental in bringing the Shaw Charity Classic to Calgary, helping line up a team of big rollers in the Western Canadian city to lay the foundation for the Champions Tour event. Ames was also the guy who gave an energetic young teacher named Sean Foley a chance to work with a PGA Tour pro. We all know where thats gone. When asked what the top mark of his career is, Ames didnt hesitate. "Its this," he stated, in reference to his indduction. Ryan Smyth Jersey. "I think being in the Hall of Fame is the highlight." On the course, Ames said that his Players victory was at the top of his personal list. I can say that in all the golf Ive covered and watched, that is simply the best 18 holes of golf Ive ever witnessed. Ive never seen anyone control his golf ball for every shot as Ames did that day. All he did was beat the best field in golf by six shots. I remember some of the biggest names in the game that day shaking their heads in disbelief at what he was doing to TPC Sawgrass. For some people, Ames is seen as a prickly personality but to those who get to know him, nothing could be further from the truth. Hes a guy with a huge heart who loves to laugh and loves his family. Sometimes when he speaks his mind, it can get him in trouble such as the occasion when he questioned Tiger Woods driving ahead of the 2006 Match Play. While a lot was made of that and the subsequent beating Woods laid on him, what he said wasnt wrong. Woods was hitting it all over the lot with his driver. After he won the Players, some media members took him to task for saying he might skip the Masters to go on a family vacation. They couldnt understand how someone would pass up the years first major, the one thats exceptionally difficult to get into. What many failed to realize was that his wife, Jodi, was recovering from surgery for lung cancer. Suddenly a golf tournament, even the Masters, didnt seem so important. There are also still some who, for small-minded reasons, dont even consider him a Canadian. To me, a guy who leaves his native country to willingly take up citizenship, to give back to the game here, to start businesses here, to create tournaments here and make his home full time in Canada – and even cheer for the Calgary Flames -- is about as Maple Leaf as they come. Ames is more than deserving of a spot in Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, even if hes never learned to love those nasty wind chills. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
