You may feel pain from your arch or heel towards the center when you first stand up after a long period of sitting. This is known as heel pain and associated plantar fasciitis. This condition is among the most common. It is caused by the pulling of the plantar facia from the heel bone. This is a common problem for children aged 8-12 years.
