GREEN BAY Cheap Vita Vea Jersey , Wis. (AP) Aaron Rodgers’ potential return from a broken collarbone took a major step forward this week. But, as Rodgers has said all along, there has to be a reason to return.

The Packers quarterback, who is on injured reserve, went through a conditioning session on Wednesday that included taking snaps and mimicking the throwing motion with a towel. It was his first time doing anything football-related on the field since suffering the injury at Minnesota on Oct. 15.

”I think he’s making really good progress,” coach Mike McCarthy said before Thursday’s practice. ”I know the training staff and the strength and conditioning staff are very pleased with where he is. He’s moving right along.”

For the Packers to stay in the playoff chase Saints Marcus Davenport Jersey , they will need consistent production out of their running game, regardless of who is carrying the ball in their banged-up backfield.

In last weekend’s victory at Chicago, rookie starter Aaron Jones suffered a knee injury and backup Ty Montgomery re-injured the ribs that were broken during the first matchup against the Bears on Sept. 28. Rookie Jamaal Williams, who had rushed only twice in the previous four games, carried the load with 20 carries for 67 yards in the second half.

McCarthy said Jones is out for ”multiple” weeks and Montgomery missed the first two days of practice this week. The Packers (5-4) probably will move forward with Williams, a fourth-round pick Bills Harrison Phillips Jersey , and Devante Mays, a seventh-round pick, when they host the Baltimore Ravens (4-5) on Sunday.

The Packers will need those two to produce. The Ravens’ third-ranked pass defense and blitz-heavy scheme will provide the biggest test to date for Brett Hundley, who will be making his fourth NFL start. Baltimore’s 28th-ranked run defense has been vulnerable at times.

After carrying the ball 11 times in the first eight games, Williams ended up with a heavy workload against Chicago.

”I feel comfortable because every week I go in like I’m still the No. 1 back,” Williams said. ”I work as hard as I’ve always done.”

Mays hasn’t played a snap from scrimmage in the team’s nine games.

”I’ve been waiting Rams Brian Allen Jersey ,” Mays said. ”I’ve got to take advantage of this and show everybody who I am and that I’m ready.”

Rodgers can’t practice until Dec. 2, one day before a home game against Tampa Bay. If Rodgers is healed and the Packers are in the playoff hunt, he could return to the lineup for the Week 15 game at Carolina on Dec. 17. The Packers close the season with a pair of games against the top teams in the NFC North: home against Minnesota and at Detroit.

”We’ve still got to wait but it’s good to see,” linebacker Clay Matthews said. ”At the same time, we’ve still got to hold up our end of the bargain and steal a few wins throughout these next several weeks in hopes that we’ve got a shot with him coming back. We started with one last week. Hopefully, we can get another one this week.”

Notes: The injury report was unchanged from Wednesday http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/justin-reid-jersey , with Jones, Montgomery, S Morgan Burnett (groin) and RT Bryan Bulaga (knee) not practicing. . CB Kevin King, who missed the final few snaps against Chicago with a shoulder injury, was limited for the second consecutive day.

ST. PAUL Cheap Markus Wheaton Jersey , Minn. (AP) Carson Wentz sat in the stands and soaked in the experience while his teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles took part in Super Bowl media night.

A torn ACL ended the MVP contender’s season, but he’s doing everything he can to be supportive and help the team beat the New England Patriots.

“I don’t know anyone more competitive than myself,” Wentz said Monday night. “Wanting to be out there is definitely tough, but I get over that pretty quick and just be around these guys and things are going as well as they can be.”

Wentz spoke for about 25 minutes Cheap Taven Bryan Jersey , answering questions about his injury, backup Nick Foles, and several queries about his faith.

“I’m super excited for these guys and for Nick. We’re so close,” he said. “He understands the pressure of not only playing in this game but playing in Philly and everything that’s involved in that. I just tell him to be yourself Authentic Todd Frazier Jersey , play your game and when he’s done that, he’s played great. I couldn’t be happier for his success. He’s a great guy.”

Wentz didn’t want to take any spotlight off his teammates or be a distraction, but the second-year pro plans to be part of many Super Bowl weeks, so he thought it was important to see it up close.

“I’m going to use this as a learning opportunity and motivation Authentic Dorian O'Daniel Jersey ,” he said. “Being here and seeing this all week, it’ll give me an edge to want to be back without a doubt.”

Wentz revealed last week that he tore his LCL along with his ACL in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams. He’s already walking without crutches or a cane – he was on crutches on the sideline in the divisional round against Atlanta, then used a cane while watching the NFC championship game against Minnesota – and hopes to be ready for the season opener in September.

“Ever since he went down, I don’t think he hasn’t been a part of every element of the team Lions Sylvester Williams Jersey , coaching and working with Nick,” owner Jeffery Lurie said. “That’s just who he is. He’s someone drawn to being great, really bright and humble at the same time … and a great leader at age 24 who is incredibly popular.”

FBN-NFL-YOUTHFUL CELEBRATIONS

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – The idea http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/josh-sweat-jersey , harkening back to the playgrounds of his youth, came to Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph’s mind right before he caught a touchdown pass in a game earlier this month. Just as instructed in the huddle seconds earlier, Rudolph’s teammates sat down in a circle before he ran around and patted them on the helmet in a brief but humorous rendition of Duck, Duck, Goose. A few weeks later, a couple of Pittsburgh Steelers played Hide and Seek in the end zone. The trend is a product of the NFL’s relaxed rules on celebrations. So much for the No Fun League. AS–AUSTRALIA-SAME-SEX MARRIAGE-SPORTS

Australian sporting groups are showing s. Womens Nate Solder Jersey , Womens Mason Rudolph Jersey , Womens Luke Falk Jersey , Adidas Eric Staal Jersey ,

CHARLOTTE Authentic Hector Rondon Jersey , N.C. (AP) Coach Ron Rivera suggested it may be time to simplify what the Carolina Panthers are doing on offense after managing just three points against the Chicago Bears.

During his news conference Monday, Rivera said he may be asking too much of his new/young players in terms of the number of formations and personnel groupings they’ve been asked to learn.

”You put some young guys and new guys out on the field and it’s not like you had in the past,” Rivera said. ”You are missing some key elements. You are missing a Greg Olsen and a Ryan Kalil and some of the other veteran guys. When communications are made there are little hand signals and their tempo picks up and they can play faster. We’re in a situation where we have so many new guys that it takes a little while to register.”

The Panthers managed just a field goal in a 17-3 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Chicago scored two long defensive touchdown – one on a Cam Newton interception and another when rookie wide receiver Curtis Samuel fumbled a pitchout from Newton.

It’s the second time this season the Panthers have failed to score an offensive touchdown.

The loss dropped Carolina (4-3) out of first place in the NFC South. The Panthers visit Tampa Bay (2-4) on Sunday in a divisional matchup.

”There’s no excuse not to come in and find a way to win this football game Vikings Brian O'Neill Jersey ,” Newton said after the loss to the Bears. ”We squandered that opportunity, but I’m not feeling sorry for myself, nor do I expect anyone else to. Life goes on and we just have to get ready for our next opponent.”

The Panthers have been playing without Olsen http://www.miamidolphinsteamonline.com/daniel-kilgore-jersey , who led the team in receptions the last two seasons. The second team All-Pro is on injured reserve recovering from a broken foot and will miss at least three more games.

Carolina also lacks a deep threat.

The Panthers allowed wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. to walk in free agency, figuring the team’s first two draft picks – Christian McCaffrey and Samuel – and veteran receiver Russell Shepard would help stretch the field with their speed. But the Panthers have struggled in that area all season.

On Sunday they had one pass of longer than 20 yards – that a 37-yard reception by Kelvin Benjamin seconds before halftime while the Bears were in prevent defense.

McCaffrey, a running back http://www.atlantafalconsteamonline.com/ito-smith-jersey , leads the team in receptions but hasn’t broken many big plays.

Samuel is a wide receiver with great speed but hasn’t been able to spring himself deep. Rivera suggested the coaching staff may be expecting too much of Samuel – and are putting too much on the rookie’s plate.

With opposing defenses not respecting Carolina’s deep passing game, teams have been able to put an extra safety or two in the box to stuff the running game.

Newton sidestepped a question on whether Carolina’s lack of deep throws are the result of those plays not being called by offensive coordinator Mike Shula or just receivers not being open.

”Sorry, I can’t answer that question. I’m executing the play that is given to me and pretty much trying to check what the defense gives me Redskins Pernell McPhee Jersey ,” Newton said.

When questioned about the team’s offensive play calling, Rivera said he’s ”happy with what we’re doing on offense.”

NOTES: Rivera said middle linebacker Luke Kuechly (concussion) will be seen by an independent physician before the team returns to the practice field Wednesday. Kuechly did not play against the Bears. … Rivera offered no update on the status of center Ryan Kalil (neck) and guard Trai Turner (knee). … Rivera said he is hopeful safety Kurt Coleman will get back on the field next Sunday after missing the last month with a sprained knee.

HOUSTON (AP) The Houston Texans have signed free agent quarterback Josh Johnson and released Matt McGloin.

The moves come a day after coach Bill O’Brien said they had discussed the possibility of adding Colin Kaepernick in the wake of a season-ending knee injury to rookie Deshaun Watson.

Instead of adding Kaepernick Cheap Su'a Cravens Jersey , the former 49ers quarterback who began the protest movement by kneeling during the national anthem last season, Houston chose Johnson to be its third quarterback.

The 31-year-old Johnson has been with the Giants Cheap Robert Golden Jersey , Bills, Colts and 49ers over the past three seasons Jets Trenton Cannon Jersey , but hasn’t appeared in a game since he played two for the Bengals in 2013. He spent his first four seasons with Tampa Bay where he appeared in 26 games from 2008-11.

McGloin was signed on Friday to be Houston’s third quarterback behind Tom Savage and T.J. Yates, but was inactive on Sunday.

DAVIE Authentic DaeSean Hamilton Jersey , Fla. (AP) Coach Adam Gase says the Miami Dolphins flunked their latest test because of lousy study habits.

Jay Cutler will start at quarterback next week, but other jobs on offense are up for grabs because some of the best players haven’t learned the playbook, an angry Gase said Friday.

His comments came less than 24 hours after the franchise’s worst loss in 20 years, a 40-0 humiliation at Baltimore. The Dolphins have now been outscored 152-92 this season, but they’re 4-3 thanks to four narrow victories.

”I’m tired of this,” Gase said. ”I’m tired of the offense being awful.”

The Dolphins rank last in the NFL in points, and with an average of 13.1 points per game, they’re on pace to break the franchise low set by the 1966 expansion team. A rash of missed assignments early in the season prompted Gase to simplify the playbook 49ers Dante Pettis Jersey , but doing so has made Miami too predictable, he said.

Gase blamed the mental mistakes on players failing to spend enough time studying the playbook, and said the problem has persisted since he became coach last year.

”We’re not putting the work in,” Gase said. ”If you can’t remember, you shouldn’t be in the NFL. Guys have got to take this stuff home and study it. We’ve got to find guys that will actually put forth effort to actually remember this stuff, and really it starts with our best players.”

The offensive line has been cited as the chief culprit for the sputtering offense, but Gase said the biggest issue with mental errors rests elsewhere. He specifically called out running back Jay Ajayi.

”The majority of the time the offensive line at least knows where to go to and what to do,” Gase said. ”You’ve got to get the other guys to know what to do to. They can’t block the running back’s guy. The running back http://www.greenbaypackersteamonline.com/josh-jackson-jersey , we never blocked the right guy. I don’t even know if we know who we’ve got. We’ve got to get that fixed.”

Cutler was sidelined this week with cracked ribs, but ran and threw in practice Monday and lobbied unsuccessfully to play at Baltimore. He’ll start the next game Nov. 5 against Oakland, Gase said.

That might not be the only lineup change. Gase, who threatened a shake-up after Game 2 but made no changes, again said he’ll consider demoting starters.

”Those that want to come on board, great,” he said. ”Those that don’t, we’ll get rid of them. … I am going to play the guys that know what to do. The fan base might not like it Authentic Gordie Howe Jersey , but oh well. We’re the worst offense in football. It’s hard to go lower than that.”

Players are off until Tuesday, the closest they’ll come to a bye. They lost their scheduled bye in November when Hurricane Irma forced the season opener to be postponed until that week.

While the Dolphins are tied for the fifth-best record in the AFC, in their losses they’ve been outscored 80-6, with the only points coming on the final play of a game.

”We’ve been embarrassed three times,” Gase said.

The latest humiliation included being outrushed 174 yards to 45, and Matt Moore’s dismal performance ended any talk he should supplant Cutler as the No. 1 quarterback.

The coach acknowledged the Dolphins tackled poorly, but saved his anger for the offense. He didn’t criticize linebacker Kiko Alonso, who faces a possible suspension for a nasty hit that knocked Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco out of the game.

”Kiko was in a tough spot Cheap Alex McGough Jersey ,” Gase said. ”If he completely stays away from him, and (Flacco) keeps running and goes headfirst and gets a first down, we all go, `What are you doing? Finish the play.’ I don’t think Kiko was trying to do anything maliciously.”

NOTES: Guard Anthony Steen (foot) underwent surgery and could miss several games. Safety Nate Allen (calf) will likely miss the Oakland game.

EDEN PRAIRIE http://www.newyorkjetsteamonline.com/sam-darnold-jersey , Minn. (AP) Dalvin Cook’s promising rookie season with Minnesota was left painfully short, a simple cut on the turf gone wrong in the fourth game of his career that resulted in a torn ACL in his left knee.

The devastating injury didn’t keep him down for long, though. He’s been in good company with the Vikings, whose roster is full of former knee reconstruction patients. They’ve provided Cook with plenty of advice, encouragement and inspiration.

”I feel great,” he said, adding: ”This team Jaguars Tanner Lee Jersey , man. It’s just fun being around them. These guys, they help me get through it every day.”

The motivators start with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, whose comeback from a dislocation and multiple ligament tears was even more daunting than the ACL-only recovery Cook has begun.

Bridgewater called him daily in the early post-op stage, following the surgery performed on Oct. 9 by Dr. James Andrews in Florida.

”He knows what to say. He knows how to say it,” Cook said. ”So it’s great having him in my corner.”

Quarterback Sam Bradford, who’s been sidelined for all but 1+ games this season by residual damage related to ACL tears in 2013 and 2014, has spent many hours in the training room next to Cook over the past several weeks.

”I finally get to see Sam’s personality http://www.seattleseahawksteamonline.com/ed-dickson-jersey ,” Cook said, smiling at the mention of his quiet-by-nature teammate.

Addressing reporters in the team’s locker room on Thursday, his first public comments since the injury against Detroit on Oct. 1 , Cook appeared as upbeat as ever. He displays a low-key, soft-spoken demeanor, but he was all smiles during the interview session despite the circumstance.

”It’s frustrating because we want to be out there competing with our teammates, but you know it’s part of the game http://www.baltimoreravensteamauthentic.com/mark-andrews-jersey ,” said Cook, who still leads the Vikings with 354 rushing yards. ”It’s what we sign up for, so that’s something I had to realize.”

Last week, he ditched his crutches. This week, he resumed weightlifting. He’s on track to be at full strength for training camp.

”I’m young. I’m going to heal up. I’m going to be back out there with my team as soon as possible,” Cook said.

In the meantime, he has several more steps to take during a process he said ”will challenge your manhood.” But he’s not planning to back down from it.

”I just think I’ll just come back better than ever. It’s truly my opinion Bengals Cordy Glenn Jersey ,” Cook said. ”It’s just all about how you attack this thing. I just feel like it was a blessing in disguise. I probably needed a break from the hits I was taking in college, or something like that.”
