His eponymous Bryn Mawr boutique may have closed last summer but ADAM is returning to the Main Line just for a day. Fans of the sleek, chic and affordable American sportswear line can meet the man behind the label, designer Adam Lippes, at the 9th annual In Fashion luncheon Nov. 16 at Gulph Mills Country Club.
This always stylish and inspirational event is a signature fundraiser for the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia. Cancer survivors will model ADAM's Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Look for an ADAM pop up shop, a silent auction and raffles. Tickets are $150.
Shoppers will receive 10 percent off sportswear, formal wear and accessories. and cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from 4 until 8.
A portion of the day's sales will benefit the Roskamp Institute, the Alzheimer's research center founded by longstanding Van Cleve client, Newtown Square/Sarasota resident Diane Roskamp. The party is also a tribute to Peggy Flynn of Downingtown, another longtime Van Cleve friend who was recently diagnosed with fast onset Alzheimer's.
Another Van Cleve note: I'll be dripping in Van Cleve at Philadelphia Country Club on Nov. 13 when I model at "Autumn Elegance," a luncheon/fashion show to benefit Covenant House, a shelter and support network for homeless and runaway teens. Van Cleve is dressing the models and La'lli Hair Lounge is handling hair and makeup.

Multi year "Best of the Main Line" winner Prestige Salon last week toasted its recent move to Devon Village. The gorgeous new salon in the new shopping center behind Whole Foods has added several new stylists, including the well regarded Michelle Villarose from Jay Michael in Radnor.
Guests at the October grand opening party of a new skin rejuvenation center in Wayne certainly got an eyeful.
