Boyd dropped a deep pass from Chad Voytik that would have placed Pittsburgh deep in Cougars territory, however, and Voytiks next attempt fell incomplete to turn the ball over on downs with two seconds left. Voytik ended 18-of-35 for 222 yards and a touchdown, and finished the second quarter strong to help the Panthers build a 17-6 lead at halftime.
