Cleveland Browns receiver Jordan Cameron believes it's been the scrutiny of defensive teams from the opposing side, not issues with the quarterback Jason Campbell that has slowed him down in recent weeks, according to Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"I need to get things moving faster and I need to find a way to open up",'' stated Cameron. "I need to try to make it into the game and be more active. I need to be more active and play and do what I can in order to aid this team. That's what I'm trying to accomplish."

The third-year wide receiver was enjoying a breakout season in 2013. but his numbers have started to decrease significantly over the last two weeks. The team's new starting quarterback Jason Campbell targeting Cameron just 18 times over the last three games. Cameron, who had 45 catches and 515 yards and scored six touchdowns over the beginning seven games of the season, is averaging just seven catches for 33 yards the last two games.

Cameron, who had been emerging as a big-play threat for the offensively-challenged Browns this season, says that defenses are rolling coverage his way and are now limiting his effectiveness downfield. Cameron, who is just a rookie receiver, says it's his job to work harder and take on the defense and he's not concerned about the chemistry he has with his starting quarterback.

"I do not think that it's Jason in any way",'' Cameron said. "They're jamming you at the first level, and then somebody hitting you on the 2nd level, so it's simply a harder chemistry between the route. The timing is a little off."
