The game's most famous event will return later this year as part of the ongoing WoW Classic Season of Mastery with new servers with faster character development and WoTLK Gold more difficult raids. The issue is that the details of what that final battle will look as is currently a complete mystery aside by the name of enemies players will be encountering. What's more, as it turns out is an underlying theme in patch 9.2. factoring not only into the final battle of the game's Sepulcher of the First Ones raid, but also found in the design philosophy that underlies the new Zereth Mortis zone. What are these mysterious First Ones? Was the prisoner truly trying to accomplish? What happens next? This leads to an even bigger mystery among the game's community What's next in Shadowlands?

When asked in an interview recently with P2Pah, WoW production director Pat Dawson wouldn't say. Normally by the time the final content patch of an expansion is released players know what the next expansion is due of an announcement earlier and accompanying cinematic at Blizzard's annually held BlizzCon event. BlizzCon isn't happening this year, likely due to several reasons, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as ongoing sexual harassment and discrimination investigation. No announcements regarding future expansions have been made. There's a huge uncertainty over the patch 9.2 and the conclusion chapter Shadowlands story.

For the first occasion in a long period gamers will head into the final phase of an expansion without having any clue what's going to happen next, both in regards to how the boss battles play out themselves and the way in which the story will unfold.

"People aren't aware of the mechanics People haven't been able to see the story," Dawson said when asking if the ending of the latest Sepulcher of the First Ones raid could give players a clue as to what the next expansion might be. "They do not know what's likely to transpire. It's a pretty neat moment. For future stuff, we're always looking for ways to buy WoTLK Classic Gold improve things. Right now, I believe we're very focused on the conclusion of this tale and giving satisfaction for the jailer."
