World of Warcraft 's Shadowlands Expansion Will Open The Game to More Players

The game was first released all the from 2004. Blizzard's iconic MMO World of Warcraft has 16 years of history now to its credit. This means that starting the game right now could be too intimidating for certain players.

The Blizzard's Johnny Cash spoke to P2Pah recently about the issue and about how this forthcoming Shadowlands expansion is determined to enhance the player experience. Part of this is through it's introduction of the new starting point, called Exile's Reach as well as the game's first "level squish." In Shadowlands the players who had reached the 120-level limit have been reduced to 50levels, with 60 standing as the new limit.

"One of our main objectives for Shadowlands was we wanted to make WoW more accessible to people," Cash said. "WoW is an established game for quite a long time. It has an immense legacy. One of the major pains as the game has been getting older is that it have 120 levels that players required to master in order to create a character that could play with friends or to buy WoTLK Gold join their raid group to play as an alternative, or whatever it was they wanted to do."
