"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Patients who want to look younger often visit our Lenexa clinic to ask questions. We asked Dr. Margolin what advice he would give to patients with unrealistic expectations regarding aesthetic treatments. BOTOX may temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles, but these treatments cannot make people look as good or famous as they did in college.

What can Aesthetic Injectable Treatments do?

Dr. Margolin describes aging skin as a piece of paper. The paper will have permanent wrinkles if it is folded in different ways over decades. This is what happens with our skin. BOTOX, JUVEDERM, and other injectable treatments can temporarily reduce the signs and symptoms of aging. They relax facial muscles and fill in certain areas.

What is BOTOX, and how can it help you?

Although this treatment can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, it is not as dramatic than plastic surgery. BOTOX can be helpful for patients who have forehead or eyebrow lines. This treatment smoothens wrinkles and prevents them forming. BOTOX won't correct wrinkles or lines that result from facial loss. JUVEDERM is a dermal filler that can address those problems.

What is JUVEDERM, exactly?

Although it might seem contrary, the skin loses fat, especially in the cheek area. Our faces lose fat and our skin sags. The loss of facial volume can also cause laugh lines and other wrinkles.

Difference between JUVEDERM (BOTOX) and JUVEDERM

What is the difference between Juvederm & BOTOX? Although both treatments aim to achieve the same results, they have different active ingredients. These injections are administered by a medical professional to patients. or an experienced medical esthetician. To make the best decision, you need to be aware of all these differences

BOTOX

BOTOX, a non-invasive wrinkle treatment, is also available. However it is made with very different ingredients. BOTOX injections are a type of neurotoxin that relaxes and softens wrinkles and facial lines. BOTOX can smoothen wrinkles and smoothen lines.

What to Expect From BOTOX and Juvederm Treatments

How long each treatment can last

Both treatments are effective but Juvederm is more effective and lasts longer. BOTOX can be used for just a few days. The effects will fade in a few months.
