"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

We receive questions from potential patients who visit our Lenexa location for aesthetic treatments. We asked Dr. Margolin his advice for patients who have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin stated, "I tell potential clients the truth: I'm an M.D., not a magician." I get that people want to look their very best. Everybody wants to feel and look their best. BOTOX may temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles, but these treatments cannot make people look as good or famous as they did in college.

What are the Aesthetic Injectables Treatments?

Dr. Margolin describes how skin ages like a piece or paper. Permanent creases can be created by folding a piece a paper repeatedly over many decades. This is what happens with our skin. BOTOX, JUVEDERM, and other injectable treatments can temporarily reduce the signs and symptoms of aging. They relax facial muscles and fill in certain areas.

What is BOTOX?

This treatment reduces wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles. However, it's not as dramatic or as drastic as plastic surgeons. BOTOX is a treatment that can be used to reduce the appearance of forehead lines or eyebrow creases. BOTOX can soften lines and prevent them from creasing your face. BOTOX cannot reduce wrinkles and lines caused by facial hollowness loss. What is JUVEDERM, exactly?

What is the difference between Juvederm or BOTOX? Although both treatments aim to achieve the same results, they have different active ingredients. These injections are administered by a doctor to the patient. or an experienced medical esthetician. So you can make the best informed decision, learn about each distinction

BOTOX

BOTOX is an alternative to invasive forms of wrinkle treatment. However, it contains very different ingredients. BOTOX injections, a neurotoxin, relaxes and softens the appearance of wrinkles and lines. BOTOX treatments smoothen lines and soften wrinkles in the following ways

What to Expect from BOTOX or Juvederm treatments

It takes only a few moments to complete Juvederm and Botox procedures. They are also very efficient. Because there are more injections, it is possible that larger areas of skin will require more treatment.

How long each treatment can last

While both treatments are effective, Juvederm is faster and lasts for longer. BOTOX only works for a few days. However, the effects last for several months. To maintain your results, you will need to get additional treatments. Juvederm filler shots can sometimes be seen right away, depending on the manufacturer.

BOTOX injections (like Juvederm) are quick and painless. The greater the treatment area, the more injections are required. Multiplying will take you a bit longer. The results of BOTOX treatments can take up to 24 hours to see.

Treatments Results

These are the main differences in the outcomes of each therapy. Juvederm injections might have immediate effects. One-to two years is the average time that Juvederm injections will be effective.
