When you reach Level 23. you'll unlock the ability to make Lava Runes. This is the point at which your XP gains will dramatically increase OSRS Gold, however this is also the area where you'll spend the majority of your time crafting at. It's possible that this is the reason that Runecrafting is universally detested, due to its dull and repetitive nature of this method.

Rates for XP range between 25K and 60K (from the lowest levels with with no pouches) up to 70K an hour (all pouches and very speedy banking). The hourly rate of XP is extremely dependent upon banking speed. The rate at which you are able to refill those bags (and pouches) with essence and go back to the Altar is what will determine the rate of XP you earn. This is something that comes from practice and depends on the level of your focus, your click accuracy will improve with time and, consequently, your rates for XP.

For maximum effectiveness to get the most effective results, you'll need level 82 Magic and the successful completion of Lunar Diplomacy to cast the spell Magic Imbue. This removes the requirement for a talisman to be used in conjunction with Runecrafting. It is recommended to use an encircling ring and binding necklaces to teleport close to the altar of fire and ensuring lava runes are crafted completely. If you don't already have this Magic Imbue spell, you'll require an Earth Talisman in each essence inventory that you need, i.e. 1 talisman with pouches not included, two talismans when pouches are being used.

The final goal for this method is based on your objectives. If XP is your primary goal, and profit is not an element, it should be recommended to craft Lava runes from 77 to 99. However Cheap OSRS Gold, only a few individuals have the time or patience for this, so an acceptable compromise is to shift to crafting Blood Runes at level 77.
