Once the Lost Ark character reaches Level 50, you can apply Engravings to them. Engravings are part of the Lost Ark's game's ending content, and allow you to apply different buffs as well as increases to tailor your character's outfit a bit more. Apart from the general engravings that are available to Lost Ark Boosting any character, every class comes with the option of having two "class bonus" engravings exclusive to them. In essence, they let you pick a subclass for them to specialize in.

The engravings for the Deathblade class are Remaining Energy and Surge, which come with the following benefits:

Remaining Energy is a great way to add two second to Deathblade Arts triggered by a Death Orb, as with this bonus, the meter will not start to decrease up to two seconds after deploying. In addition, your Deathblade Arts burst attack grants another 30 seconds of buffs to attack speed, movement speed strength, and speed.

Surge provides a stack of Surge Enhancement each time your Deathblade hits with all attacks (except for the default attack and Awakening skill) as long as Deathblade Arts are activated. The maximum stack count is 20, and each stack boosts the damage by 7.5 percent (and when you reach higher levels of power, attack power increases by up to 1 percent per stack too). Once Deathblade Arts reaches the end of its life and ends, each Surge Enhancement recharges your Death Orb by buy Lost Ark Gold five percent.
