Lost Ark will give players more options for female armor from Selena's blog
Amazon Games has addressed online discussions surrounding its popular 2019 Korean MMORPG Lost Ark, detailing a future update aimed at fixing outdated depictions of its female characters.
When Lost Ark hit the U.S. in February after a stint overseas, it set a new concurrent player record on Steam, but some Western players also felt the game's female representation was outdated. At the time, players expressed their disappointment online, pointing to the game's limited and scantily clad clothing options, as well as aggressive hip-swinging female walking animations. This led game developer Smilegate to acknowledge the criticism from fans in a blog post last year, but more surprisingly, follow up on those comments in 2022.
Amazon Games' franchise head Soomin Park recently told Eurogamer that future updates are in the works to address issues like the game's gender-locked classes, which only allow men to wield swords and women to become mages. And players are getting less Lost Ark Gold, which makes them anxious.
"Classes are very closely tied to their character models in terms of functionality and animation, so bringing characters of the opposite sex to the class required more work than just providing models of different genders," Park told Eurogamer.
Park also responded to fans' criticism of the game's outdated and underdressed clothing for women, who tend to wear short boots and heels. Park told Eurogamer that Lost Ark will be making adjustments rather than removing exposed clothing from the game. However, these tweaks won't involve changing outfits to reduce their exposure, but rather tweaks to the game's marketing, so those outfits don't feature prominently in commercials or in-game character creation screens.
So female players may need to collect Lost Ark Gold as soon as possible to deal with all kinds of troubles in the game. They can try to buy Lost Ark Gold, https://www.iggm.com/ is a solid choice.
