He'd wanted to write since he was 13 but he'd got so caught up in working hard to maintain his lavish lifestyle that he'd forgotten what was important to him.
'I was sat in my study one Saturday morning doing my weekly accounts and I just started to write notes on the PC about what I call "real life" the cost of marriage and all the things that had happened the night before,' he explains.
'We'd had a dinner party and things were said so I started to make notes. I did that for three years,fake rolex perpetual datejust. I was still working as my marriage failed and I turned that into a book.'

It's no coincidence that the main character is called Jack and the book is written in the style of an autobiography. The plot follows things that have happened but Jack freely admits he's heightened the drama of certain events for the sake of creating a more compelling read. 'The reason that people seem to like it is they are drawn into the plot,' he explains. 'It's fiction but I've written it so that it's totally different. It's written as an autobiography. It's true but it's amplified by 100 per cent.'
Jack ended up giving his wife both homes and 80 per cent of his pension but says she reneged on their deal to let him see their son.
He's now touring the UK in his caravan to promote The Sun Sharer and rolled up in Hayling at the beginning of the week.
