WASHINGTON -- Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau admitted he "was as nervous as all get out" to be facing his former team Monday night. Wayne Gallman Youth Jersey . After the Ducks rallied to win their franchise-best ninth in a row, he appeared pretty calm. Hampus Lindholm scored the game-winner at 14:24 of the third period and the Ducks rallied past the Washington Capitals 3-2 in Boudreaus return to the Verizon Center. "Nine in a row, thats pretty cool," Boudreau said. Andrew Cogliano had a goal and an assist, and Saku Koivu added a goal for Anaheim. The Ducks (27-7-5) swept a four-game road trip and lead the NHL with 59 points. "It was a goal of ours, long before we got to this game, if we could win the four games going into Christmas we thought it would a heckuva start considering 24 of those games were on the road. And we gutted out a couple of them, especially the last two," Boudreau said Lindholm, who added an assist, grabbed a rebound and fired through traffic from the slot for his third goal of the season. Boudreau replaced Glen Hanlon as Washingtons coach 21 games into the 2007-08 season and guided the Capitals to four straight Southeast Division titles, including a Presidents Trophy in 2009-10 when they compiled 121 points. He was fired after a 12-9-1 start on Nov. 28, 2011, and was hired by Anaheim two days later, replacing Randy Carlyle. "I dont think I made eye contact with one (Washington) player all night long, because I couldnt," Boudreau said, afraid of how hed react to a look from one of his former players. Anaheims Jonas Hiller had 16 saves. Mikhail Grabovski and Nicklas Backstrom scored for Washington. A shot by Alex Ovechkin hit the crossbar and landed just outside the line with about three minutes left. It was reviewed and ruled no goal. "I saw the one replay they showed, and it looked like it was a goal on that one," Hiller said, "but at the same time, looking at the crossbar, you can still see the mark kind of on the outside of the crossbar, so I was pretty sure it wasnt a goal." Washingtons Troy Brouwer added two assists and Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves. The Ducks rallied to win from a two-goal deficit for the second game in row. "I think it just seems, for whatever reason, when were down by a goal or two right now, then we change to our style," Koivu said. "We start getting pucks deep and we get the forecheck going, which has been effective, and its been paying off." Washington, meanwhile, wasted a two-goal lead for the second game in row. "It was just a couple of mistakes that cost us the win," Backstrom said. "Overall, I thought we played all right. But its hard to say you played all right when you lose." The Capitals managed just eight shots on goal in the final two periods. "I think the second period everybody lost their flow with the penalties," Capitals coach Adam Oates said. "I thought we pushed pretty hard. Theyve got some good guys back there; they made some plays. We tried, but we just couldnt penetrate." Trailing 2-1 to start the second period, the Ducks failed on three power plays, but got the equalizer with 27 seconds left. Ben Lovejoy carried into the zone and, as he was circling behind the net, shovelled the puck in front to Koivu, who banged it in. "The second goal at the end of the second I think hurt the most," Oates said. "Were in great shaped, were down behind their goal line, and they get one rush and put it in the net." The Capitals broke on top at 7:21 of the first period. Grabovski fed Brouwer on a two-on-one, and Brouwer sent the puck back to Grabovski, who deflected it past Hiller for his 11th goal. Just over four minutes later, Backstrom (15 points in his last seven games) picked up his ninth goal when his shot bounced off the right post and fell in behind Hiller 11 seconds into a Washington power play. Anaheim pulled to 2-1 at 17:15 when, during a scramble in front of the net, Cogliano picked up his 10th goal when he backhanded a shot in off Grubauer. NOTES: The last NHL team to win nine in a row was Pittsburgh, which won 15 straight from March 2-30, 2013. ... Capitals F Brooks Laich returned to the lineup after missing 11 games with a lower body injury. ... Grabovski has 10 points in his last 10 games. ... The world No. 1 Williams began her title defense at Roland Garros with a 6-2, 6-1 win over French wild card Alize Lim on Court Chatrier. Williams was erratic at times, piling up 36 unforced errors, but the 17-time Grand Slam singles champion saved all seven break points she faced and fired 37 winners to just seven for Lim, who was making her debut in the main draw of a major. "I was a little nervous, as I always am in my first rounds. Its kind of always hard for me to shake those nerves," Williams said. The American beat Maria Sharapova last year to capture her second career French Open crown. She also won this clay-court tournament in 2002, beating older sister Venus in the final. Another former champion, Italian Francesca Schiavone, was ousted on Day 1, losing 6-3, 6-3 to Croatias Ajla Tomljanovic. Schiavone won the French Open title in 2010 and was the runner-up to Li Na the next year. Davis Webb Giants Jersey. Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork. Antonio Garcia Youth Jersey .com) - Greg Ward Jr.s third touchdown pass of the fourth quarter, a 25-yard strike to Deontay Greenberry with 59 seconds remaining, completed an unbelievable comeback that lifted Houston to a 35-34 victory over Pittsburgh in the Armed Forces Bowl. Greenberry was also on the other end of Wards successful 2-point conversion try that brought the Cougars all the way back from a 34-13 deficit with under four minutes left. Houston (8-5), which trailed 31-6 with 11 minutes to play, scored 29 fourth- quarter points and recovered a pair of onside kicks, the last leading to Greenberrys second touchdown catch of the day. The 25-point deficit was the largest overcome by a winning team in the fourth quarter in bowl history. Ward finished 15-of-24 for 274 yards and added 92 on the ground. Greenberry finished with 85 yards on four receptions, while Kenneth Farrow put up 103 rushing yards and two touchdowns to help the Cougars prevail in this matchup of interim coaches. Houston fired Tony Levine on Dec. 8, with defensive coordinator David Gibbs leading the team for the bowl game. Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph directed Pittsburgh (6-7), which had head coach Paul Chryst depart for the same position at alma mater Wisconsin. James Connor rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 21 attempts for the Panthers, with Tyler Boyd amassing 112 receiving yards on nine catches in the stunning loss. Ward engineered a 6-play, 83-yard drive he finished with a seemingly innocuous 8-yard touchdown toss to Greenberry that brought Houston within 34-20 with 3:41 left to play, but the score loomed far larger when Tyler White pounced on Ty Cummings onside kick to give the Cougars back the ball near midfield. Two straight completions from Ward to Markeith Ambles had Houston back in scoring range, and Demarcus Ayers came down with Wards 29-yard heave into the end zone on 4th-and-13 shortly afterward to suddenly cut the margin to seven points with 1:58 remaining. Cummings second onside try again went into the hands of a Houston player, with Farrow falling on the ball at the Cougars 43-yard line. Ward and Greenberry teamed up for a 38-yard gain on the next play, then combined for a 25-yard touchdown on a 3rd-and-16 situation to put Houston just a point away from a tie and possible overtime. Gibbs would have none of it, however, and his decision to go for two paid off when Ward found an open Greenberry in the back of the end zone for a 35-34 Cougars edge. A pass interference penalty that negated a fourth down stop for Houston on the ensuing possession kept the Panthers alive. Boyd dropped a deep pass from Chad Voytik that would have placed Pittsburgh deep in Cougars territory, however, and Voytiks next attempt fell incomplete to turn the ball over on downs with two seconds left. Voytik ended 18-of-35 for 222 yards and a touchdown, and finished the second quarter strong to help the Panthers build a 17-6 lead at halftime. He completed three straight passes in front of Isaac Bennetts 12-yard run that gave Pittsburgh a 14-6 edge 1:27 prior to the intermission. After the Panthers got the ball back on a punt with 23 seconds left, the sophomore quarterback connected with Kevin Weatherspoon for gains of 13 and 16 yards to position Chris Blewitt to knock through a career-long 52-yard field goal on the halfs final play. Pittsburgh then put up points on its first three drives of the second half to temporarily turn the contest into a rout. Voytik skillfully directed a 13-play, 91-yard series in which he rushed three times for 39 yards and completed the trek with a 16-yard touchdown delivery to J.P. Holtz. Following a Houston punt, Voytik hit on 5-of-6 throws during a sequence that ended with Conners 5-yard run into the end zone that put the Panthers up 31-6 with 13:58 remaining. Wards 31-yard run and Greenberrys 14-yard grab on 3rd-and-14 extended the subsequent possession, which Farrow culminated with an 8-yard touchdown that provided the Cougars with some needed momentum. Pittsburgh was then able to take nearly 4 1/2 minutes off the clock before Blewitt blasted a 29-yard field goal for a 34-13 advantage with 6:14 to go. Both teams put together 15-play drives that resulted in their initial points, with the Panthers marching 92 yards to strike first and Houston countering with a 76-yard series later on. Pitts mammoth trek, which Conner capped with a 1-yard run less than a minute into the second quarter, featured three third-down conversions -- including Weatherspoons 17-yard catch on 3rd-and-12 and Voytiks 3-yard scramble in the red zone. Wards 16-yard run on 3rd-and-16 and a 20-yard scamper helped set up Farrows 2-yard plunge with 5:40 remaining in the first half. Kyle Bullards point- after try was blocked by Justin Moody, however, to keep the Panthers in front. Game Notes Texas Tech had owned the largest fourth-quarter comeback in a bowl game, rallying from 24 points down to earn a 44-41 overtime win over Minnesota in the 2006 Insight Bowl ... Matt Bellerive scored both goals for the Blazers (12-43-5), who are 1-9-0 in their last 10 outings. MINNEAPOLIS -- After Yasiel Puig carried the Dodgers early, it was little-known Scott Van Slyke and Drew Butera who came up big at the end of a long day. Van Slyke and Butera homered in the 12th inning and Los Angeles held on to beat the Minnesota Twins 4-3 to earn a sweep of the day-night doubleheader on Thursday. Adrian Gonzalez also homered for the Dodgers, who stranded 16 runners in the 5-hour, 11-minute game. "At this time of the night, when youve played all night and youve put a couple wins under your belt, youre willing to take them, move forward and know that you got to play better to get where you want to go," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. Puig tied a career high with four hits in Los Angeles 9-4 Game 1 win and added two more in the nightcap. Before grounding out in the fifth, Puig had reached base in nine consecutive plate appearances. Joe Mauer had three hits for the Twins, who walked 12 in the second game and 18 total. Van Slyke led off the 12th and lined a 2-1 pitch from Brian Duensing (0-1) into the bullpen in left-centre field. Butera hit his first homer since July 12, 2012, when he played for the Twins. "It feels nice to hit a home run any time," said Butera, who caught all 12 innings and still had enough in the tank to hit the winning homer. "Its mentally and physically taxing," he continued. "You dont want to make any mistakes. You want to be in the game physically as much as you are mentally." Jamey Wright (2-1) didnt allow a run in three innings of relief. Kenley Jansen loaded the bases in the 12th and allowed Mauers sacrifice fly, but got Chris Colabello to line out to first for his 11th save in 13 chances. "I didnt know if it was going to take off," Colabello said. "It was pretty true. I didnt really side-spin it at all, maybe hoping that it was going to get over his head or get a deflection, or something like that." Juan Uribe had four hits and two RBIs in the first game and another RBI in the second. When Puig wasnt getting hits, he still grabbed the spotlight. The Cuban outfielder was tagged out when he flinched toward second after beating out an infield single in his first at-bat in Game 2. In the bottom of the first, Puig airmailed the cutoff man on a sacrifice fly, allowing two Twins runners to advance. Home plate umpire Tim Timmons missed a catchers interference call when Puig fouled off the first pitch during a key at-bat in the sixth. But by the time Van Slyke homered, Puigs play from earlier in the day seemed llike ancient history. Deatrich Wise Jr. Womens Jersey. "Scottys a different cat. Hes hard to read from the outside," Mattingly said. "You see a guy thats kind of laid back and kind of easy moving. Everything looks like its in slow-mo. But hes a guy that sees pitching and knows what hes doing at the plate." Los Angeles left the bases loaded in the sixth and seventh, with the threat in the seventh ending after second-baseman Brian Dozier dove to snare a line drive from Dee Gordon. Neither teams inexperienced starter, both called up to start under a provision that allows rosters to expand to 26 for a doubleheader, finished the fifth inning. Minnesotas Kris Johnson lasted 4 1-3 innings in his Twins debut. Wearing his powder-blue socks high and a pink band around his head to keep his glasses on, Red Patterson was removed after allowing one run and walking three over 4 2-3 innings. Minnesota took a 2-1 lead in the sixth when Trevor Plouffe reached second on Uribes throwing error and came home on another throwing error when reliever Brandon League rushed to try and retire Colabello on a dribbler to the mound. The Dodgers tied it when Van Slyke led off the sixth with a triple and scored on Uribes single. Minnesota centre-fielder Aaron Hicks banged his head on the wall leaping to try and catch Van Slykes triple and left the game with concussion-like symptoms. The pitching wasnt great in Game 1, but it was much better than the never-ending night game. Dan Haren (4-0) struck out seven in 6 2-3 innings to win the first game. Mike Pelfrey (0-3), who hasnt won at Target Field since April 16, 2013, gave up five runs and seven hits and walked three in four innings for the Twins. If Pelfrey doesnt pitch better soon, he could wind up in the bullpen. "Weve got to do something about it, we have to fix it," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "Were trying to get him on the right path." Both teams combined to use 20 pitchers. VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks had a December to remember. Tanoh Kpassagnon Youth Jersey . Since the calendar flipped to 2014, its been a very unhappy new year. After compiling a 10-1-2 mark last month that put some distance between the teams chasing them in the Western Conference wildcard race, the Canucks have lost five in a row, including four straight to start January. The latest setback came Tuesday, when the Pittsburgh Penguins scored twice in the final 1:11 of regulation with their goalie pulled to tie the game before winning 5-4 in a shootout. All told, the Canucks have given up six goals in five games this season when opponents have their goalie on the bench for an extra attacker. "Late in games, I always talk about situational play," Canucks head coach John Tortorella said after Thursdays practice at Rogers Arena. "Situational play is a mindset and we have not totally grasped that. Thats a mental toughness, to me. I believe you can develop that type of mental toughness -- to play in the (hard) areas at certain times, at certain (moments) of games. "I think at times weve done it this year, and obviously of late here, we havent." Tortorella said the only way to deal with blown leads is to get back on the horse. "You hope youre leading again 3-2 in the third period ... and you find a way to get it done," he said. "You need to grasp something." Tortorella said that for him, the most fascinating part of coaching is the mind, adding that its his job to make sure players learn how to be tough mentally game in and game out. "I tell the players theyre screwed -- if I see it once, I know its there," said Tortorella. "When you show signs you can do it, then you need to demand yourself to do it more consistently. Thats a big part of our responsibility. Ive seen us play stiff enough to handle situations. "When youre developing an identity of a hockey club, it falls on the coach to demand it and keep it there. Im in it with them as far this little slump here." Vancouvers current losing streak includes road defeats to the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks. The Canucks currently sit in the first wildcard position, but they host the powerhouse St. Louis Blues on Friday before travelling back to Los Angeles and Anaheim as part of a three-game roadtrip. "The schedules not getting any easier," said Canucks defenceman Kevin Bieksa. "Weve got a lot teams that are ahead of us in the standings that were playing. These are the teams we have to beat if we want to catch them." Bieksa said the players arent dwelling on the late-game collapses, but are instead trying to learn from the mistakes. "Sometimes maybe we clench up a bit towards the end of the game with the lead because weve lost it so many times and its in the back of guys head," he said. "You still have to go out there and make a play. Its not just going back and just hammering pucks around the boards and shooting it out and then they come right back on you. "Somebodys got to make a play. Somebodys got to make a tape-to-tape pass. Somebodys got to hold onto a puck down low and kill some time. Someones got to beat a guy and get a shot on net. Its just a mindset of continuing to play the same way." Apart from blowing leads, the Canucks have also had a miserable time in the shootout this season. Vancouver has a meagre 2-6 record and is a combined 4-for-32 on shootout attempts. Tortorella had the Canucks practice the shootout for nearly 15 minutes at the end of practice on Thursday, with fourth-liner Zac Dalpe and defenceman Jason Garrison finding a measure of success. Tortorella downplayed the exercise, saying its impossible to mimic game shootout conditions in practice, before sharing what he thought of NHL games being decided by a skills competition. "It should be out of the league," he said. "That gimmick should be out of the league." Note: Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows and defenceman Alexander Edler were both full participants at Thursdays practice, but Tortorella said neither has been cleared to play. Burrows has been out with a broken jaw, while Edler has been sidelined by a knee injury. Patrick Mahomes II Chiefs Jersey . Henry, who missed three games with a knee injury, was charged with a handball in the penalty area in the 82nd minute as he went to block a strike from Patrick Mullins. Tanoh Kpassagnon Jersey . -- During Kansas shootaround on Wednesday before the Jayhawks faced Oklahoma, coach Bill Self told Wayne Selden Jr.Jamie Redknapp thinks Manchester United are changing manager at the right time, even if Jose Mourinho will not alter his style at Old Trafford. Mourinho is expected to be named the next United manager in the coming days as Louis van Gaals two-year spell comes to an end. Man Utd sack LVG Manchester United have sacked manager Louis van Gaal, according to reports Although Van Gaal signed off with victory in the FA Cup final, Redknapp told Sky Sports that Mourinho is the right option for his replacement. It was the right time to make the move, he said. If you are looking out there then what better option do you have?It just felt like they were treading water. It just didnt seem to work. The crowd never really took to him and the style of football isnt really what they wanted. The brand was struggling because of that. Man United were treading water under Louis van Gaal, according to Redknapp If you are looking to change then Jose Mourinho is a serial winner, he knows how to win. Not always in the most expansive style that the United fans will want, but there is every chance he could be winning trophies for them. While Van Gaal was criticised for failing to make United into an exciting team to watch, there have been questions over whether Mourinho would represent a huge shift in playing style. Alan Smith says Mourinho is the right man to bring excitement back to Old Trafford The former CChelsea manager is not known for an attacking brand of football, and Redknapp said: I dont think he can change and I dont think he will. Tanoh Kpassagnon Womens Jersey. Jose had success doing things his own way.Sometimes we are a little bit critical of him, there has been spells when Chelsea played some great football as well. The year they won the cup a couple of years ago, the first 20 games they were fantastic.Once they had to win the league and they realised they had to get across the line, they did it in a Jose sort of style. They can be expansive. I think the Man Utd fans just want to play some good football and win some games, for it to be a bit more exciting. There will be goals there. Marcus Rashford flourished under Louis van Gaal Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in December. He left the Blues 16th in the Premier League, having lost nine of their 16 league games. He lost his way this season and threw his toys out of the pram regularly, said Redknapp. You cant behave like that if you are the Man Utd manager. You have to be outstanding and do it correctly. I think Man Utd fans, the club and the board would ask that of him.Another question of Mourinho is whether he would continue to give chances to Uniteds youth players. Mourinho and Man Utd A timeline of events involving Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and Manchester United The likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Timothy Fosu-Mensah all got opportunities under Van Gaal this season. My worry will be if you are a young player at the club, said Redknapp. Jose has always had a reputation for never giving young players a chance.People like Rashford will be a little nervous, thinking well if they bring in a big striker what does that mean for me. TORONTO – Its been a black hole in Toronto since the second NHL lockout ended, save for one fleeting bright spot last season. Cam Robinson Jaguars Jersey . Second-best in 2013, the Maple Leafs penalty kill has tumbled right back to the bottom of the NHL this season, second-worst in a league of 30 teams. Since the beginning of November, the unit boasts a very unflattering 73 per cent success rate, yielding 13 goals alone in the past 15 games. No team, in fact, has allowed more power play goals this season (43). "The biggest negative is were giving up too many goals," said head coach Randy Carlyle of the beleaguered penalty kill. "Thats an area we definitely have got to improve on to give ourselves a better chance [to win]. You cant and we do not believe that you can give up a power play goal to the opposition every game and have success." Success a year ago, in which they killed off an impressive 87.9 per cent in the lockout-shortened 48-game campaign, was a true rarity. In the seven seasons between the last two lockouts – from 05-06 to 11-12 – the Leafs never had a penalty kill finish higher than even 24th overall – sitting 24th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 30th, 28th, and 28th. And yet despite employing most of the same personnel as last season – with Jay McClement, Nik Kulemin, Carl Gunnarsson and Dion Phaneuf absorbing the bulk of minutes (new Leaf Tim Gleason proving an added resource) – the results, oddly, have not followed. In their most recent failing, the Leaf penalty kill allowed a pair of power play goals in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Jets – the eighth time theyve allowed two or more in a game in the past 40 outings. "If we string together a couple games with a good PK, confidence rises," Gunnarsson said. "If you have a couple bad games where they score 50 per cent on us, that confidence goes down." According to Extraskater.com, an advanced statistics website, the Leafs are allowing the most shots in the league on the penalty kill per 60 minutes (four-on-five situations), nearly 50 per cent more, in fact, than they did last season. The goaltending, while not quite at the superb level of a year ago – when they held the second-best save percentage in four-on-five situations – has remained just about average (12th best) despite the increased workload. One obvious drop-off from last season is the faceoff circle, specifically with Tyler Bozak, the teams primary faceoff employee. Bozak, who is used almost exclusively for the draw before darting off in favour of Kulemin, has won a scant 36 per cent of his shorthanded faceoffs this season (34-96), down from a stellar 53 per cent mark in 2013. McClement, a 50 per cent marksman last season, is down only slightly at 47 per cent. Losing more faceoffs, quite simply, means more time spent in-zone defending which results in fatigue, more shots against and thus, more goals for the opposition. "It seems like if we have six minutes [shorthanded] a night, were doing a good job for five and a half [of those minutes]," said McClement, "and then we dont get a puck down [the ice] and we have tired legs and its hard for us to kill the way were supposed to kill with tired legs." Though the group believes it has upped the requisite aggressiveness of last season in recent days, theyve often found themselves burned by a simple mistake, such as a failed read or clear. Against the Jets for instance, it was an inability to pick up a hot-charging Blake Wheeler on the first goal, a failure to intercept Tobias Enstroms point-pass to an unchecked Bryan Little in the slot on the second. "It feels like were doing some good things," McClement said. "Were pressuring better and pressuring smarter in the right situations, its just those little tiny breakdowns that are costing us goals." Countering the woes of the Toronto penalty kill has been an exceptional power play, one that ranks amongst the top five in the NHL this season. "Were aware of where our penalty kill is at and were aware that we have to be better on it," said Phaneuf. "We have let it slide and thats our job to get it back." Cam Robinson Youth Jersey . Murray wins World Tour Finals Andy Murray defeated Novak Djokovic to win the ATP World Tour Finals for the first time Whats surprised me more than anything was that he won the physical battle. He was stronger physically than Novak which meant he was mentally stronger than Novak. I guess Andy was on a winning streak but I certainly thought that Novak would continue the sort of tennis he played last night.Andy was clinical, gutsy, it was an astonishing effort what hes achieved in 2016 and I thought we all felt coming into it, given his year, given what hes had to endure and whats hes contributed over the decade, I think its only right that in at least one year, he would end the year as number one which hes done in such an amazing manner. Andy Murray spoke to Marcus Buckland, Annabel Croft and Greg Rusedski after winning the ATP World Tour Finals Peter Fleming said the Scot made a mockery of what he went through this week with epic matches against Milos Raonic and Kei Nishikori four days earlier.Three hours and 38 minutes on Saturday, and three hours and 20 minutes against Nishikori on Wednesday. He was brilliant, admitted Fleming. Murray: I still need to improve Andy Murray needs to improve to fend off Novak Djokovic in 2017 I think a lot of us thought it would be a real physical struggle for him, yet he came out and almost put it out of his mind. Dawuane Smoot Womens Jersey. He elevated his consciousness if you will and just said I have reserves, Im going to tap into them and thats whats exactly what he did - he was terrific.I think it then was telling on Djokovic because he might have thought he would win the physical battle but suddenly appeared as though it was still going to be a fight. The pressure affected him and in the end, it was a battle of two equals and Murray showed that much more resolve. Heres the moment Murray sealed victory on his third Championship point Commentator Barry Millns described Murrays victory as an awesome, awesome performance.Over this whole year, its an incredible conclusion. But hes got such steel in him and sometimes you have to go through that furnace, said the voice of Sky Sports Tennis. Murray milestones Andy Murrays greatest moments revisited after winning ATP World Tour Finals He was the stronger out there. It was an incredible display of mental fortitude through this week, but to bring it to bear against Djokovic, it was Murray who was the more pro-active. He was the one who was hurting Djokovic. All those Championship points reminded me of the Wimbledon final in 2013. The final game of this match was reminiscent of the final game there. The chances that came and went, we all thought is it going to happen again? But hes not a bottler. Hes a brilliant, brilliant tennis player. Hes the new world champion and quite rightly the year-end number one. OAKLAND, Calif. Marshon Lattimore Jersey . -- Stephen Curry scored 24 points and dished out nine assists, and the Golden State Warriors forced a decisive Game 7 by outlasting the Los Angeles Clippers 100-99 Thursday night. Andre Iguodala added 15 points and Draymond Green had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors, handing Los Angeles one more obstacle to overcome in a week full of them after Clippers owner Donald Sterling earned a lifetime ban from the NBA for his racist remarks. The finale of the first-round series will conclude Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Warriors limited big men Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan even after centre Jermaine ONeal left with a sprained right knee in the second quarter. The Clippers simply ran out of time in the closing minute, missing three shots before Matt Barnes made a 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds to play. Los Angeles fouled Curry, who missed both free throws. Green grabbed the rebound as time expired, touching off a confetti-filled celebration throughout the gold-shirt wearing sellout crowd of 19,596, which packed an unusually warm Oracle Arena that rocked and roared throughout. Barnes finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Griffin had 17 points and nine rebounds before fouling out, and Jordan had 19 boards and nine rebounds for the Clippers, who are trying to win just their third playoff series since Sterling bought the franchise in 1981. Clippers point guard Chris Paul appeared hampered by the strained left hamstring that has bothered him all series. He crouched down and held his knees during stoppages, often wincing in pain. He had nine points, eight assists and five rebounds. With the stakes higher than theyve been all season, the teams traded blows in a fast and physical game that often featured more fouls than flamboyant plays. ONeal appeared to take the worst one, spraining his right knee when Glen "Big Baby" Davis lowered his shoulder and crashed into him while going for a rebound in the second quarter. ONeal lay in pain until limping to the locker with the help of teammates. He did not return. Green filled the void for a Warriors front line already missing two centres, including starter Andrew Bogut, who has sat out the series with a fractured right rib. Greens physical play inside highlighted a game that officials had to constantly control. The teams combined for 31 fouls in the first half and 52 for the game. Griffin and J.J. Redick, and Golden States David Lee all fouled out in the fourth quarter. The teams kept things just as close on the scoreboard as on the court. Los Angeles led 51-48 at the half, while the Warriors went up 70-67 through three quarters. The Warriors began to pull away when Iguodala hit a corner 3-pointer in front of the Clippers bench, falling to the floor after drawing Griffins sixth foul with 2:31 to play. Iguodala strutted down court and gave a low-hand slap to Green as the crowd roared to its feet with Golden State up 96-89, but the celebration would have to wait. The Clippers came back quickly, cutting Golden States lead to two on a 3-pointer by Jamal Crawford and a layup by Barnes. Both teams missed several shots in the final minute, especially Los Angeles. The Clippers missed three straight shots -- and corralled three rebounds -- before Barnes hit the 3 with 1.1 seconds remaining to trim Golden States lead to one. Los Angeles had no time left for one more shot, forcing a much-anticipated finale between rising Pacific Division rivals. The Clippers and Warriors have played 10 games this season. Each team has won five. NOTES: The Warriors had lost seven straight elimination games since Sleepy Floyd scored 51 points to lead Golden State past the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals on May 5, 1987. ... The Warriors have won 17 of their past 20 home games against Los Angeles. ... Clippers reserve F Hedo Turkoglu sat out with a lower back injury suffered in Game 5. He is day to day. Dillon Brooks scored 26 points on 9-17 shooting for Canada while pulling down six rebounds and picking up six steals. Teammate Chris Egi had 20 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.SYDNEY, N.S. - Joel Dahmen fired a 10-under 62 for a two-stroke lead after the first round of the Cape Breton Celtic Classic on Thursday. Dahmen led Wes Homan when play was suspended due to darkness. The 25-year-old the damp conditions helped him play aggressive. "Its so soft out here you can hit a lot of drivers, and then you can hit it close to the hole," said Dahmen, whose 62 tied the best round of the PGA Tour Canadas season so far. "A four-iron is sticking the same as a wedge, so you can really be aggressive out there." Dahmen addded a putting tip from close friend and fellow Tour player Will Strickler led to a solid performance on the greens. Marcus Williams Womens Jersey. "I made a couple of long putts that I normally dont make," said Dahmen, who rolled in putts over 50-feet for birdie on the 17th hole and over 30-feet for birdie on the ninth. EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers have dug themselves an awfully deep hole, but at least there has been some upward movement of late. Leonard Fournette Jersey . Jordan Eberle scored twice as the Oilers won their third game in a row for the first time this season, getting past the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Thursday night. Sam Gagner and David Perron also scored and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had three assists for the Oilers (7-15-2) who improved to 3-7-0 at Rexall Place this season. "Weve got some confidence back and some swagger," Nugent-Hopkins said. "It is definitely nice. You obviously cant get too high, but when you are losing a lot of games in a row some guys can get down. You need to stay positive and it is easy to do that when you are winning." Edmonton was 2-9-1 in its previous 12 games before embarking on the winning streak. "Winning games does so much for the confidence of the team, especially when you are playing well and winning," said Oilers forward Taylor Hall. "Thats a double bonus. We are getting great goaltending and it seems like our special teams is the engine that is driving us right now. We are getting a lot of confidence off of that." Oilers head coach Dallas Eakins said goaltender Devan Dubnyk has been very sharp of late. "He seems really focused early in the games," he said. "When our team was struggling, we werent focused early and he was part of that. I find him very focused to start games now. Then he gets into the rhythm and gets a little swagger back there. He has been excellent for us of late, and when your goalie is excellent the wins start piling up." Eakins added it has also been a good thing to provide the home fans something to cheer about. "Its always nice when you are coming off the ice and they are clapping and not yelling You suck," he said. Scottie Upshall responded for the Panthers (6-13-4) who saw a season-high two-game winning streak come to an end. "Our starts have been hurting us. Weve had a handful of games where were behind the eight-ball right away and in this league, its hard to catch up," said Panthers defenceman Tom Gilbert. "They came out strong and we just werent ready to match that. "We had our opportunities, it was just a matter of trying to get the second goal, trying to get some momentum, trying to get some energy going for us and we just never got that. Florida head coach Peter Horachek said his team just didnt seem to be going the same speed as the Oilers. "The key was the energy, we didnt have any," he said. "Thats the key to the game, if your energy is better and you go out with a workman attitude, everything improves, the whole game improves from our standpoint. "I thought at the beginning of the game, you could see the work ethic wasnt there, the legs werent there, the compete level wasnt there. That made it a struggle." The Oilers picked up right where they left off in Tuesdays 7-0 drubbing of the Columbus Blue Jackets, scoring a power play goal just 57 seconds into the contest. A Nugent-Hopkins point shot deflected into the air and Eberle was able to bat it past Florida goalie Tim Thomas for his seventh of the season. It was Edmontons 12th straight unanswered goal stretching back to a four-goal third-period explosion in Saturdays 4-2 win over Calgary. Edmonton had 12 first period shots to Floridas six on Dubnyk. The Oilers made it 2-0 six minutes into the second period as Nail Yakupov did a good job waiting out traffic on a three-on-two break, sending a nice pass to a trailing Gagner who beat Thomas high to the glove side for his first of the season. Edmonton took a three-goal lead just past the mid-mark of the second frame with another power play goal as Perron was able to tip in his eighth of the season off of a one-timer from the top of the circle by defenceman Justin Schultz. Florida finally got on the board with three-and-a-half minutes to play in the second period as the Panthers caught Edmonton scrambling with defender Corey Potter without a stick and Upshall somehow snuck a bad-angle shot between Dubnyk and the post to make it 3-1. The Panthers had three power plays in the third period, but were unable to get anything past Dubnyk. Eberle scored his second of the game into an empty net to put the game away. The Panthers wrap up a five-game road trip in Calgary on Friday night. The Oilers are off until Monday, when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Notes: The game was the second of two meetings between the teams this season. Edmonton won the first game 4-3 in overtime on Nov. 5 when rookie forward Mark Arcobello scored the first two goals of his NHL career, including the overtime winner. Arcobello was a healthy scratch for the rematcha After the loss to the Oilers, the Panthers fired head coach Kevin Dineen, replacing him with current bench boss Peter Horacheka The Oilers put bruising forward Steven MacIntyre on waivers for the purpose of reassignment to their AHL affiliate in Oklahoma Citya Panthers defenceman Mike Weaver missed the game with an illness, while forward Scott Gomez missed his eighth game with a groin injury. Defenceman Ed Jovanovski (hip) is officially off injured reserve, but has still yet to play this seasona Friday marks the 10th anniversary of the Heritage Classic Game in Edmonton, the NHLs first-ever outdoor match-up. Among those in attendance was a 12-year-old Taylor Hall to see the Oilers face the Montreal Canadiens. There are six outdoor games scheduled this season in the NHLa Oilers centre Boyd Gordon was an impressive 15-2 in faceoffs in the game. Dawuane Smoot Jersey . David Craig and Dale Tempest from Sky Bet look ahead to day one at Cheltenham 1.30 - SKY BET SUPREME NOVICES HURDLEMin looks like being an opening day banker for many but, as Sky Bet are offering money back as a free bet if your horse gets beaten in the opening race on each day of the Festival, it could pay to find a better value alternative. There is much more to come from Min though, who it is expected to appreciate better ground. Nicky Henderson has a couple of good-looking chances, but its Buveur DAir that excites me the most as he has plenty of untapped ability and at the moment the sky looks the limit. Hes a backable price in the market without Min if you want to take that route. Nicky Henderson trains leading Supreme contender Buveur DAir I was hoping to see Moon Racer, but last years Champion Bumper winner has missed the majority of the season after sustaining an injury in November and David Pipe has run out of time to get him to the meeting. 2.10 - RACING POST ARKLE CHALLENGE TROPHYDouvan is odds-on and not a hugely attractive betting proposition, but theres nothing else that really catches my eye. Last years Sky Bet Supreme winner is an outstanding jumper and is a straightforward horse to ride. Hes the full package. Hes a lepper as the Irish would say! I wouldnt mind being a pound behind the agent that buys all these good horses from France for the Mullins team. Hes got to be a day one banker. His opposition dont look in the same league, with Vaniteux representing Nicky Henderson. He jumps well too, mind you, and as a race for novices at the Festival we know that anything can happen. He won the Lightning Novices Chase last time out but this will be a different kettle of fish. Sizing John is an each-way price for Henry de Bromhead and he jumps well, but I cant see him reversing placings with Douvan, given clear rounds from both. Each-way Arkle contender The Game Changer is put through his paces on the gallops The Game Changer is interesting wherever he goes for Gordon Elliott, although this is apparently the plan. He has been off since October in order to be freshened up for spring festivals and is entered in this, the County Hurdle and the Grand Annual. He will prefer spring ground but looks an interesting each-way proposition given his favoured conditions on Tuesday. He has had a breathing operation since his last run and is carrying some of my each-way cash. Sky Racing Tickets Fast, secure racing tickets: Exclusive racing offers near you 2.50 - ULTIMA HANDICAP CHASEIn-form Warren Greatrex trains exciting novice Out Sam, who had five entries at the Festival, including in the RSA Chase. He is rated 139 and enough have come out for him to get a run in this. Kruzhlinin can go well for Phillip Hobbs, his rating of 148 looks a winnable mark. He has had two starts for Hobbs, having formerly been with Donald McCain, and won nicely at Kempton last time despite jumping left, so the return to a left-handed track will suit. Holywell won this two years ago off an 8lb lower mark, but was pulled up in the Sky Bet Chase last time out. He needs good ground and is en-route to the Grand National. The promising Out Sam could have a say in the big handicap chase on the opening day 3.30 - STAN JAMES CHAMPION HURDLEWhat an absolute shocker for Willie Mullins when both reigning Champ Faugheen and Arctic Fire were ruled out of the race. While lessening the quality, it has made the race more competitive for us punters. Rich Ricci has forked out £20,000 to add Annie Power to the race, but by my reckoning he can just about stretch to that! She would have been a shoo-in for the Mares Hurdle, providing she avoids a catastrophic mishap like last year, and is still short enough for this after her stroll round Punchestown on her reappearance. She gets weight from the boys though and her reappearance showed us she still has a leg in each corner and that they are moving in the order that God intended. Shes too short for me but it would be a travesty if a mare as good as her never won a race at the Cheltenham Festival.Nichols Canyon never seems to get the credit he deserves, but he has won six Grade 1s. Hes not flashy and therefore not a headline grabber, but hes consistent and talented. He would be one Id get more excited about if he were to run in the World Hurdle. Identity Thief won the Fighting Fifth for Henry De Bromhead and was second to Nichols Canyon at Leopardstown over Christmas. He has only had eight starts, seven over hurdles, and is still improving, but he needs to in order to reverse placings with Nichols Canyon. My Tent Or Yours (left) could go well in an open Champion Hurdle My Tent Or Yours is the horse I tipped up each-way here a few weeks ago and I stand by that suggestion in an open year. Cam Robinson Womens Jersey. Yes, its a big ask to win after almost two years off the track, but the vibes are good. He has decent Festival form having finished second in the Supreme and second to Jezki in this in 2014. He can be keen and thats a worry after such a long layoff, but hell wear a bridle to help that (he will be fitted with a net muzzle - I put one on an old horse of mine once and so effective was it he went sideways everywhere until I took it off!). My Tent Or Yours has had a couple of away days at the sports to help take the fizz out of him. How Nicky Henderson could do with a Grade One winner this season and as the master of all he surveys at the Festival, he could bounce back in style. The New One has the vote of confidence from Sam Twiston-Davies. Hes had problems and his jumping doesnt impress, but hes won plenty and has a great engine. Nigel Twiston-Davies has apparently had a clearer run this season with him but I cant get excited about him. At a decent price another of the supplemented runners could be worth an each-way wager. Lil Rockerfeller is trained by Neil King who has his horses in great heart, and this horse is only 3-4lb off the best in this.4.10 OLBG MARES HURDLEMy favourite horse in training, Vroum Vroum Mag, is favourite for this and surely the others may as well stay at home?! It wont be that straightforward sadly and Ill admit to being a bit blinkered as far as this mare is concerned. But theres no way Ill bet against her, as she has continued to brush her rivals aside with ease. Vroum Vroum Mag is Alexs favourite horse in training 4.50 146th YEAR OF THE NATIONAL HUNT CHASEJonjo ONeills Minella Rocco is the horse AP said he would particularly miss riding when he retired, having ridden him to win both his novice hurdles. Since then, the horse hasnt won, but he was a staying-on second in the Reynoldstown to RSA hope Vyta Du Roc at Ascot over three miles last time out - a much-needed, improved performance. The stable form is some way from being ideal coming into the Festival, but Jonjo targets this meeting and hasnt been running too many in bad ground over the past couple of months, so dont fear if you fancy any of his runners during the week. Jockeyship counts for an awful lot in this and owner JP McManus has claimed Derek OConnor to ride, which is a huge plus. Noble Endeavour looks a solid contender for the National Hunt Chase Ive had a decent each-way bet on Noble Endeavour. Gordon Elliotts seven-year-old has some very strong-looking form and Festival form to boot, as he was only beaten on the nod by Killultagh Vic in the Martin Pipe race last season and is a winner over fences this term. He doesnt look an easy ride, but will have Jamie Codd on board, who is one of the best amateurs, and the horse has loads of ability.Colin Tizzard has his team in great form coming into the meeting and saddles Native River here and the horse is likely to have headgear on to sharpen him up. Southfield Royale cant be left out of equations for Neil Mulholland, who has made his mark at the Festival before. He was second in the Feltham behind Tea for Two, one place in front of Native River. He jumped to his left there, so hopefully Cheltenham will suit, although he is yet to run there. The booking of Nina Carberry is clearly a bonus, for a trainer who has already trained winners at this meeting in his relatively short career. Alex Hammond is joined by Ed Chamberlin to look ahead to an exciting week of racing at the Cheltenham Festival 5.30 CLOSE BROTHERS NOVICES HANDICAP CHASEThis is a really competitive handicap with all the horses not likely to have much between them on ratings. I was on the Sky Bet Cheltenham preview panel in Leeds and trainer Warren Greatrex was really keen on the chances of his Aloomomo, who carries co-top weight. The horse is improving and now runs off a mark of 140.Willows Saviour has a very good record since joining Dan Skelton in 2013. He had a couple of years off, but came back to win two of his three starts over fences including a confidence boost in a small field at Fakenham most recently. He has run in Grade One company this term too and is only rated 138 for his handicap debut over fences. The Paul Nicholls-trained Bouvreuil was second in the Fred Winter last season off 133 and is off 139 for his handicap debut over fences. He started his chasing career in top-flight company in the Henry VIII Novices Chase and was beaten in the Lightning Novices Chase last time, but the trip was on the short side for him there. LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling apologized Sunday for racist comments captured on tape, saying they were a "terrible mistake. Adrian Peterson Saints Jersey ." "Im not a racist," Sterling told CNNs Anderson Cooper in excerpts posted from an interview taped Sunday and set to air Monday. "I made a terrible mistake. Im here to apologize." In his first public comments since being banned for life from the NBA, Sterling said years of good behaviour as an owner should count toward his future. "Im a good member who made a mistake," Sterling said. "Am I entitled to one mistake, am I after 35 years? I mean, I love my league, I love my partners. Am I entitled to one mistake? Its a terrible mistake, and Ill never do it again." The interview came nearly two weeks after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Sterling, fined him $2.5 million and urged the other league owners to force him to sell the team. Sterling said he waited to make a public apology because he was "emotionally distraught." "The reason its hard for me, very hard for me, is that Im wrong," Sterling said. "I caused the problem. I dont know how to correct it." He later added, "If the owners feel I have another chance, then theyll give it to me." Sterlings comments came on the same day ABC News posted excerpts of an interview his estranged wife gave to Barbara Walters. Shelly Sterling said she would fight to keep her 50 per cent ownership stake of the team. "I will fight that decision," Shelly Sterling said. "To be honest with you, Im wondering if a wife of one of the owners, and theres 30 owners, did something like that, said those racial slurs, would they oust the husband? Or would they leave the husband in? "I dont know why I should be punished for what his actions were." NBA spokesman Mike Bass released a statement Sunday night in response to Shelly Sterlings comments. "Under the NBA constitution, if a controlling owners interest is terminated by a three-quarter vote, all other team owners interests are automatically terminated as well," Bass said. "It doesnt matter whether the owners are related as is the case here. These are the rules to which all NBA owners agreed to as a condition of owning their team." Shelly Sterlings attorney, Pierce ODonnell, responded to the NBAs statement. "We do not agree with the leagues self-serving interpretation of its constitution, its application to Shelly Sterling or its validity under these unique circumstances," ODonnell said. "We live in a nation of laws. California law and the United States Constitution trump any such interpretation." ABC posted initial excerpts of Shelly Sterlings interview and planned to air the rest of it Monday. Shelly Sterling also said she "eventually" will divorce her husband, and that she hadnt yet done so due to financial considerations. "For the last 20 years, Ive been seeing attorneys for a divorce," she said. "In fact, I have here -- I just filed -- I was going to file the petition. I signed the petition for a divorce. And it came to almost being filed. And then, my financial adviser and my attorney said to me, Not now." LeBron James said Sunday after the Miami Heat practiced for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Brooklyn Nets that NBA players believe nobody in the Sterling family should be able to own the Clippers if hes gone. "As players, we want whats right and we dont feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team," James said. LONDON -- West Hams owners told Sam Allardyce to ensure the team is more entertaining next season after backing the manager to continue in his job on Tuesday following talks on his future. Samaje Perine Youth Jersey . Uncertainty surrounded Allardyces future after three years in the job despite leading the team back into the English Premier League and securing a third successive season in the topflight. "After listening to feedback from supporters, the board have insisted on improvements to the set-up of the playing and backroom staff to ensure the team provides more entertainment next season," the London club said on its website. Allardyce has divided West Ham fans since taking charge in 2011, with the former Newcastle, Bolton and Blackburn manager booed after one game last season despite winning. "Although not everybody understands the West Ham Way, we do and we respect it as we have been supporters all our lives," co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan said. United will finish the season without a major trophy if it fails to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Olympiakos in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday. The match comes three days after a humiliating 3-0 home loss to fierce rival Liverpool, which left United in seventh place in the Premier League and without any realistic chance of qualifying for next seasons Champions League. "My future has not changed one bit," Moyes said Tuesday. "I have got a great job, know exactly the direction I want to go in. "The biggest assurance is that (the board) let me get on with the job ... we talk about the future, we make big plans going forward. That is why they gave me a six-year contract. This is not a club that works on a short-term vision, it is a long-term one." Moyes said he has been in regular contact with Alex Ferguson, the man he replaced as manager inn July and who recommended his fellow Scot for one of the biggest jobs in world football. Samaje Perine Redskins Jersey. "He told me before I came in it was a difficult job but he is always here to help," said Moyes, who added that "all the board are very supportive" of him. Only five teams have overturned a deficit of two goals or more in the Champions League era. Winning the Champions League looks to be the only route back into the competition next season, leaving it likely that United will miss out of Europes top tournament for the first time since the 1995-96 season. Moyes, though, urged fans to keep faith in his reign despite a woeful run of seven losses in 14 games so far in 2014. "I actually think they have seen some defeats they wouldnt have expected and have stuck with the team throughout," he said. CLEVELAND -- The Houston Astros journey through the land of American League playoff contenders has been a success so far. Antonio Garcia Womens Jersey . Jon Singletons homer capped a four-run ninth inning and the Astros took advantage of Clevelands sloppy defence to defeat the Indians 5-1 on Friday night. Houston, beginning the final leg of a 10-game road trip, took two of three at Yankee Stadium before coming to Cleveland, and has won four of five overall. The Astros have been the team taking advantage of mistakes against teams trying to reach the post-season. "Its huge, thats what winning ballclubs do," Singleton said. "When teams are making small mistakes like that, other teams capitalize and come out with the win." The Astros had lost six straight against Cleveland, getting outscored 41-15. Singleton hit a three-run drive off Cody Allen (4-3) after a pair of throwing errors by the worst defensive team in the majors. Catcher Roberto Perezs wild throw let the go-ahead run score. A throwing error by first baseman Carlos Santana set up Houstons big inning. "I felt like our guys did a good job of being aggressive and took advantage of some mistakes in which the other team made," Astros manager Bo Porter said. Tony Sipp (4-2) pitched the eighth. The Indians helped him by getting two runners thrown out on the bases. Astros starter Brad Peacock gave up one run and was pulled after five innings because of discomfort in his right forearm. Marwin Gonzalez homered for Houston and Zach Walters connected for Cleveland in the fifth. Walters homered for the third straight day. After Allen issued a one-out walk to Chris Carter, Santana threw wildly to second after fielding Dexter Fowlers groundball. The error moved Carter to third. Then when Fowler tried to steal second, Perezs high throw glanced off shortstop Jose Ramirezs glove and rolled into the outfield, allowing Carter to score. Singleton then put the game away. "Every time I go up there I try and hit a ball hard," he said. "Sometimes you dont do that and you still got to go up there and do your job. Its definitely nice to know all the hard work is not wasted." The Indians lead the majors with 99 errors after committing 98 when they made the playoffs last season. Their poor play, however, wasnt limited to defence Friday. Cleveland had runners on first and second with no outs in the eighth before shoddy baserunning ended the threat. Mike Aviles, who led off with a single, was caught off second on Perezs bunt attempt. Tyler Holt, who advanced to second while Aviles was tagged in a rundown, was later thrown out trying to steal third. Cleveland manager Terry Francona was understandably displeased with the mistakes. "Obviously, we need to do better," he said. "We cant play like that and expect to win." Carlos Carrasco allowed one run in six innings for Cleveland. Jackson has brought his career full-circle in Cincinnati, where he coached the wide receivers from 2004-06. He was Oaklands head coach in 2011 and pushed for the trade that brought quarterback Carson Palmer from Cincinnati at midseason in exchange for a first-round and second-round draft pick. The Raiders finished 8-8 and failed to reach the playoffs that season, resulting in Jacksons firing. He returned to Cincinnati as an assistant, and coached the running backs last season. The Bengals won the AFC North with an 11-5 mark but lost their opening playoff game for the third straight season, tying the NFL record. Andy Dalton had three second-half turnovers during a 27-10 loss to San Diego at Paul Brown Stadium. Gruden co-ordinated the Bengals West Coast offence each of the last three seasons and helped Dalton and receiver A.J. Green develop into one of the best young pass-aand-catch tandems in the league. John Johnson Youth Jersey. He was hired as the Redskins head coach on Thursday. "We are blessed to have a staff that allows us to promote from within," coach Marvin Lewis said. "It keeps some of the continuity with our offensive team, yet we get new direction and fire from an aggressive and innovative coaching mind. The offence flourished at home and often struggled on the road. Cincinnati won all eight home games during the regular season, tying the club record. Dalton set club records for touchdown passes and yards passing last season, but his struggles in the playoffs continued. In three playoff games, he has thrown only one touchdown pass with four interceptions. Jackson also has been the offensive co-ordinator for the Redskins, Falcons and Raiders. Defensive co-ordinator Mike Zimmer also is interviewing for head coaching jobs. Cincinnatis defence finished No. 3 in the league last season.
