FOXBOROUGH, Mass. Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey . -- Tampa Bay offensive guard Carl Nicks is looking forward to playing his first game since missing the last nine in 2012 with a toe injury. That could happen Friday night when the Buccaneers play the New England Patriots in an exhibition game. Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano says he wont be overly cautious in deciding whether to use the former All-Pro against the Patriots. He says he wants to see how Nicks feels before making a decision. Nicks believes hell play but says its hard to gauge how far hes come back from the injury after playing only one or two series. The Buccaneers and Patriots wrapped up three days of joint practices with a walkthrough on Thursday. Evan Engram Giants Jersey . The Suns termed Fridays surgery by team doctor Thomas Carter a success. No timetable was given for Bledsoes return but the team said in a news release that he "will pursue a possible return to action during the second half" of the season. Dalvin Tomlinson Giants Jersey . -- Jonas Hiller is cautiously confident he has kicked his vertigo. DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies put outfielder Michael Cuddyer and right-hander Eddie Butler on the 15-day disabled list and selected the contract of right-hander Christian Bergman to make his major league debut. Bergman was scheduled to start Monday nights game against Atlanta. In addition, the Rockies announced on Twitter that outfielder Carlos Gonzalez will have exploratory surgery on his injured left index finger. The procedure will take place in Cleveland on Tuesday. Gonzalez went on the DL earlier this month. Cuddyer is out because of a strained left shoulder and Butler has inflammation in his right rotator cuff. Cuddyer has not played since being injured diving for a grounder when playing third base Thursday against Arizona. He is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday. "Fortunately its his left shoulder, but its affecting when he swings," Colorado manager Walt Weiss said. "Theres some concern there because its still pretty sore. Well get the test done and everything. Initially we were hoping he would feel better by now." This is Cuddyers second stint on the DL after missing 28 games with a strained left hamstring. He is hitting .317 with five home runs this season. The 23-year-old Butler allowed six runs and 10 hits in 5 1-3 innings in his major league debut during Fridays 7-2 loss to the Dodgers. Weiss said Butler felt fine after the start bbut was sore the next day. Evan Engram Jersey. "Were going to be cautious with a young pitcher like Eddie," Weiss said. "No reason to push it so were going to give him time, let that soreness go away and hopefully its not anything serious. We dont think it is right now." The Rockies have been hit with several injuries in the last month. Third baseman Nolan Arenado broke his finger at Atlanta on May 23 and will miss at least a month. Gonzalez played through pain throughout the season before being placed on the 15-day DL on June 3. Pain in the index finger had lingering when Gonzalez consulted hand specialist Thomas Graham at the Cleveland Clinic on May 29 when the Rockies were starting a series against the Indians. The Rockies also lost starter Jordan Lyles to a broken left hand last week. "Youve got to stay away from that type of feeling that were jinxed," Weiss said. "I talked in spring training that were going to go well beyond the 25-man roster that we broke camp with and thats been the case. Were just getting hit early and often with the injury bug." Bergman was 4-4 with a 3.84 ERA in 12 starts for Triple-A Colorado Springs. He is the fourth Rockies pitcher to make his major league debut this season. The Rockies also recalled righty Chad Bettis from Triple-A and designated reliever Wilton Lopez for assignment.Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

Newport, RI - An all-American quarterfinal saw Jack Sock upset top-seeded John Isner, while two-time runner-up Lleyton Hewitt safely secured a berth in the semifinals at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships. Josh Jones Packers Jersey . The seventh-seeded Sock straight-setted the two-time Newport champion Isner 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), with Sock recording the only break of the match in the opening set. This marks the 21-year-old Socks first win in four tries against the 6- foot-10 world No. 12 Isner. Meanwhile, the third-seeded former world No. 1 Hewitt handled sixth-seeded two-time NCAA singles champion Steve Johnson, of the United States, 6-4, 6-4 on the grounds of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Hewitt lost to Frances Nicolas Mahut in last years Newport final and gave way to Isner in the 2012 title tilt. The 33-year-old two-time Grand Slam champion Hewitts opponent on Saturday will be the talented Sock. The two have never met on court. Saturdays other semi will pit second-seeded Croat Ivo Karlovic against upstart Aussie Samuel Groth, who were a pair of quarterfinal winners here on Thursday. Holding the fourth overall pick, Treliving is confident he can improve his club one way or another - be it by selecting fourth or making a bold move. Treliving told the Calgary Herald Sunday that he likes his options in both scenarios. "Well look at anything. Moving up . . . again, what does it cost you? Does it make sense? . . . Whoever shakes out at four is going to be a good player," he told the Heralds Kristen Odland. "But you also cant be fearful of making a big move because you think it may turn out wrong," he added. "If you think it makes sense, you do it. You dont do it because, What if it goes wrong? You do have to have courage to do things." Back to Backstrom Teams in need of a veteran presence in net may have something to talk about with Minnesota Wild GM Chuck Fletcher. Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune wrrites that Fletcher "may be willing to retain salary and cap space to trade goalie Niklas Backstrom, who is recovering well from season-ending abdominal and hip surgeries. Josh Jones Youth Jersey. " Along with centre Kyle Brodziak, Fletcher may be a prime candidate to make some moves leading up to, or on Draft Day itself. Itll take a move or two to get the ball rolling, and then theres usually a domino-type effect. Were not there yet." ST. Zane Gonzalez Youth Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Steve Pearce is eager to take advantage of every opportunity hes given to help the Baltimore Orioles. The 31-year-old journeyman outfielders opposite-field double snapped a scoreless tie and Nelson Cruz added his major league-leading 22nd homer, providing all the run support rookie Kevin Gausman and two relievers needed to shut down the struggling Tampa Bay Rays 2-0 for manager Buck Showalters 1,200th career win on Wednesday. Gausman pitched six innings and Pearce, who homered during a 7-5 victory over Tampa Bay on Tuesday, went 2 for 4 to boost his batting average to .324 with six homers and 15 RBIs. Not bad for a guy who was out of baseball for two days after the Orioles designated him for assignment and eventually released him in the opening month of the season. Since re-signing with the team on April 29, hes gradually built confidence while making the most of limited chances hes had to contribute. "And I want to keep continuing it and doing what I can do to help the team win," Pearce said. "Thats 10 at-bats in two days, I dont know if Ive ever had that in my career." The first of Pearces two doubles, a line drive down the right-field line, drove in Nick Markakis from first base in the fifth inning. Alex Cobb (2-5) would have gotten through the fifth unscathed if second baseman Ben Zobrist hadnt mishandled Markakis two-out grounder for an error. Cobb yielded four hits and four walks in seven innings. The right-hander fanned six in his sixth start since returning from a five-week stay on the disabled list with a left oblique strain. "Its kind of been the story of the year so far for us in the fact that on those days we pitch good, its been tough to come across some runs," Cobb said. "On the other hand of that is were pitching poorly and the offence is putting up a lot of runs," the right-hander added. "Weve just got to get on the same page and ... and play the type of baseball we should be." Gausman (3-1) allowed five hits, walked one and struck out five, including Zobrist and James Loney after the Rays loaded the bases with no outs in the first. The Rays were blanked for an AL-leading 11th time, finishing with five hits and going 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position. "We just didnt hit," Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon said. "How many times have I had to say that this year?" Pearce is hitting .444 with three homers, three doubles, five walks, five runs scored and six RBIs against Tampa Bay this year. Most of the damage has come at Tropicana Field, where the Orioles have won five of six meetings between the AL East rivals to build a 7-1 lead in the season series. Cruz, who also leads the majors with 58 RBIs, homered for the first time since June 3. The solo shot off Kirby Yates made it 2-0 in the eighth. Tommy Hunter pitched two perfect innings and Zach Britton worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save in 10 opportunities. The Rays loaded the bases in the first on a leadoff walk, Kevin Kiermaiers single and shortstop J.J. Hardys fielding error. Gausman worked out of the jam, striking out Loney and Zobrist before getting David DeJesus to foul out along the left field line to end the threat. The Rays wasted another opportunity in the sixth when Evan Longoria had a leadoff double, Loney struck out and Zobrist hit a soft liner to left field that Pearce caught on the run before tossing the ball to second for an easy double play, when Longoria continued to run, mistakenly thinking there were two outs. "Stevie just seems to be dialing up what we need," Showalter said. "Its probably no coincidence that he was involved in the double play, too. That was pretty good positioning." NOTES: Pearce, who grew up in nearby Lakeland, has three homers in 18 at-bats against the Rays this season. All of the homers have come at Tropicana Field. ... After striking out with the bases loaded in the first and hitting into a double play in the sixth, Zobrist has one hit in his last 36 at-bats with runners in scoring position. ... The Orioles have Thursday off before beginning a weekend series at Yankee Stadium, with RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (2-8) facing RHP Hiroki Kuroda (4-5) on Friday. The Rays continue a 10-day homestand, opening a four-game set against Houston, with RHP Chris Archer going against RHP Collin McHugh (4-4) on Thursday. Larry Ogunjobi Youth Jersey . Chris Capuano. Hernandez is charged with the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player from the Boston area who was dating the sister of Hernandezs fiancee. Prosecutors say Hernandez and two other men, Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz, drove with Lloyd to a North Attleboro, Massachusetts industrial park, where Lloyd was shot multiple times and left for dead. A jogger found Lloyds body on June 17, 2013. Zane Gonzalez Womens Jersey. Hernandez has been incarcerated since his arrest on June 26, 2013. He was released by the Patriots later that day. Bristol County Assistant District Attorney Patrick Bomberg told jurors that Hernandez planned the killing of Lloyd and tried to cover it up. Defense attorney Michael Fee said his client was innocent and that police never looked elsewhere after connecting Hernandez with Lloyd. Hernandez has also been charged separately in a July 2012 double-murder case in Boston. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork. Joe Mixon Bengals Jersey .com) - Marian Hossa scored two goals and the Chicago Blackhawks ended the Nashville Predators seven-game home winning streak with a 3-1 win on Saturday. Brandon Saad had one goal and an assist for the Blackhawks, who have won six in a row. Scott Darling made 32 saves. Chicago moved ahead of Nashville for the Central Division lead. Were excited that weve put ourselves in the spot we were hoping to be after 20 games, but we shouldnt be satisfied, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. We should be looking to improve off of these levels, which will make us a good team. Colin Wilson scored the lone goal for the Predators, who fell to 11-2-1 at home this season. Pekka Rinne stopped 28-of-30 shots. Saad scored from the left circle at 14:53 of the first period. Hossa gave Chicago a 2-0 lead at 2:48 of the middle stanza. Saad carried the puck down the right side and made a great backhand pass to Hossa, who pushed the disc across the goal line. Wilson put Nashville on the board 34 seconds into the third. His shot from the top of the left circle beat traffic in front and got past Darling. Hossa scored an empty-net goal with 1:11 remaining to make it 3-1. Youre going to look at tonights game and break down the stats, Nashville coach Peter Laviolette said. The shots are the same, the chances are the same and the shots at the net are the same. They got one more than we did. We move forward from here and get ready for the next one. Game Notes Chicago started a four-game road trip on Saturday ... "We may have Jermain back, but again we dont want to push him too much," said coach Ryan Nelsen. "(Defoes) status is that its looking positive, its looking really good, so yeah he might be available." When asked, the striker would not confirm his status for Saturdays match. If he does return, itll be welcome news for the Reds, who are struggling with . Defender Doneil Henry was among those who did not participate in training Thursday due to illness. Defoe missed the teams 2-0 win in Montreal and 3-2 win in Columbus this month due to the injury, which was initially believed to be a sports hernia. Joe Mixon Youth Jersey. . He also missed the MLS All-Star game last week. It was announced on Aug. 4 that Defoe had suffered a groin strain, which was expected to keep him out of the lineup for two to three weeks. Saturday would be Day 12 since the announcement. The 31-year-old also missed Torontos 2-1 loss at home to Sporting KC (11-6-6) on July 26 serving a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation. Toronto (9-7-5) will be without defender Mark Bloom (MCL strain) and captain Steven Caldwell (quad) for Saturdays game, which concludes a stretch of four consecutive road games. ST. David Sharpe Womens Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A misplayed ball helped keep the playoff-hopeful Tampa Bay Rays in a little funk. Erick Aybar drove in four runs and the Los Angeles Angels rallied from a late four-run deficit to beat the Rays 6-5 on Tuesday night. Jose Molina had three hits and three RBIs for Tampa Bay, which has lost three in a row. The Rays, leading the AL wild-card race, are 2 1/2 games behind AL East-leading Boston. "To permit that many runs late, weve done that way too many times," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "Weve got to stop doing that." Tampa Bay has blown 15 leads this year in the seventh inning or later, and this is the 12th time it has lost such a game. Aybar hit a two-run double off closer Fernando Rodney (5-4) to put the Angels up 6-5 in the ninth. "With a pitcher like Fernando you dont want to think too much," Aybar said. "Just look for a pitch in the zone and make contact." Peter Bourjos stole second and went to third when centre fielder Desmond Jennings dropped J.B. Shucks fly ball for a two-base error. Aybar then followed with the key hit. "I just missed it," Jennings said. "It hit the tip of my glove." It was just Jennings second error over the past two seasons. "It was really strange," Maddon said. "The last thing youd expect would be for that to happen." Aybar also had a two-run single during a three-run seventh that made it 5-4. "Aybar hurt us," Maddon said. The Rays entered with the majors best record, at 37-13, against teams under .500 this season, according to STATS. The Angels (59-71) have a four-game winning streak. After Ernesto Frieri (2-4) pitched a scoreless eighth, Dane De La Rosa got the final three outs for his second save. Tampa Bay went up 3-1 during the fifth on Molinas third straight hit off C.J. Wilson, a two-run double. James Loney made it 5-1 with a two-run single in the sixth. Molina entered 0 for 13 against Wilson. Roberto Hernandez allowed three runs and eight hits in six innings. He left with two on and no outs in the seventh. Jake McGee entered and gave up a run-scoring grounder to Shuck and Aybars two-run single that got the Angels within 5-4. Wilson, who had gone 5-0 over his previous eight starts, gave up three runs, eight hits and five walks over five innings. "We score runs and weve got a lot of guys that are hungry and want to do some damage in these last few weeks of the season," Wilson said. "Tampa Bays on their way to playoffs, possibly, and if we can cause any disruptions, thats really the only thing we can do right now." Mike Trout tied it at 1 in the fourth on his 23rd home run this season. It was his second homer in six at-bats against Hernandez, who struck out Trout with two on and two outs one inning later. Molina put Tampa Bay up 1-0 on an RBI double in the second. Wilson avoided a big inning by getting an inning-ending bases-loaded fly ball from Ben Zobrist. Tampa Bays Wil Myers popped out with the bases loaded and two outs in the fourth. NOTES: Tampa Bay optioned struggling RHP Jeremy Hellickson to Class A Charlotte for extra rest. He is not expected to pitch in the minors and should rejoin the Rays early next month. ... Angels INF Howie Kendrick (left knee) continues running and taking grounders. "We definitely expect him to play this year," manager Mike Scioscia said. ... Wilson tripped running out to pitch in the second and fell to the ground between the third base line and the mound. ... Tampa Bay All-Star LHP Matt Moore (sore left elbow) will make his scheduled rehab start Thursday with Triple-A Durham. He could rejoin the rotation on Sept. 3. ... The Rays plan to recall RHP Jake Odorizzi from Durham to start Thursday against the Angels. LHP David Price will have his start pushed back one day to Friday at Oakland. ... Playing at PEPS Stadium at Laval University, the facility was expanded to accommodate 3,500 people. While the stands werent completely filled as they were in Montreal last February, that didnt hold back the great atmosphere. People were encouraging us, shouting out our names and having fun on each point (though I had a very long match where I had to battle until the very end). My family and my friends were also among the crowd and it was really fun to learn as much as I did there. It wasnt just about me as I was playing - it was about playing for my country and all of those watching. The viewing public is important and I dont want to disappoint them, but I wasnt really dwelling on that kind of pressure at the time. I tried to stay in the present moment and simply enjoy the energy to try to give a good show and play a good game. Its always very important to do my best to win. People were just happy to be there and support us and it made for a crazy weekend! Just before the tournament, we spent several days training together in Quebec City and we had our official team dinner on Thursday night. We also took the time to work with Iris Setlakwe, as the fashion designer helped dress us for this special event (as was the case a couple of months ago in Montreal). We also got acquainted with other players and sponsors - a tradition followed by every delegation during the Fed Cup. It was also at this time that we did our traditional gift exchange. Our gift for the Slovaks - maple syrup! Never Give Up It was a bit hard early on in my opening match when I lost the first set. David Sharpe Raiders Jersey. Jana Cepelova, ranked 52nd in the world, was very tough and had lots of confidence after a strong performance in Charleston. This is a player who went to the net a lot and never hit the same ball. Shes already beaten good players like Serena Williams and has the ability to change speeds during a point. She can make three rhythm changes by alternating her slice, or cushioning her forehand before suddenly attacking with lots of force and precision in the corners. Its not easy to guage a girl like this, as she was very gifted. That being said, it was necessary for me to raise my game up a notch and find my pace to reverse the trend. As this was the first time I was facing Cepelova, I was trying to get a read on her game at the start. It took me a little while, because it was not easy adjusting to the ball. I was hooked as I tried to avoid my earlier mistakes while trying to force errors. In short, it was a physical and mental challenge, coming back twice - in the second and third sets - as she was serving for the match. And that first victory on Day 1 was very important to set the tone for the competition. And all this time, captain Sylvain Bruneau was at my side to motivate me, telling me to remember what I should do and to always be alert. Its good to have the opportunity to rely on a coach and his advice during a match. In other tournaments, you cant ask for that much help so frequently. Finally, my next next Grand Slam stop is at Roland Garros. The challenge will be to adapt to the change from hard surface to clay. Ill be in full preparation this week in Montreal, playing on the clay courts of Uniprix Stadium at Jarry Park. Ill then fly off to Cagnes-sur-Mer in France, for the qualifications next week and then make a stop in Prague before the qualifications for the Internationaux de France - which begins on May 21. https://www.facebook.com/WozAlekshttp://www.aleksandrawozniak.com/Twitter @alekswoz Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

CLEVELAND -- The Browns are on the clock with Alex Mack. Quincy Wilson Womens Jersey . Clevelands Pro Bowl centre signed a five-year, $42 million contract offer sheet with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday. The Browns, who have received official paperwork on the deal, are expected to match it and keep one of their best players. The Browns have five days -- until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday -- to match Jacksonvilles offer or theyll lose Mack, who has not missed a single offensive play since the Browns drafted him in 2009. The club secured that right for the time to weigh the decision after placing a $10 million transition tag on the 28-year-old Mack before free agency opened. The deal includes $26 million guaranteed and would make Mack the NFLs highest-paid centre. The team entered free agency with re-signing Mack as one of its top priorities, and there doesnt seem any reason the Browns wouldnt lock him up for a few more years. Macks contract also has an option for him to void the deal after two seasons. Also, his team cant tag or trade him. Earlier this week, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said he was confident Mack would remain with Cleveland. "We remain optimistic that Alex Mack will be a Cleveland Brown for a long time," Haslam said at the premiere of "Draft Day," a fictional film about the Browns. "We want him to be. I think weve made it very clear that hes the kind of person, the kind of player we want in our organization." Mack has played 4,998 consecutive snaps with the Browns. In 2011, Mack played despite a severe attack of appendicitis that landed him in surgery the following day. He has developed into one of the games top centres, lauded for his blocking ability, leadership and helping Clevelands quarterbacks read defences. With Mack in the middle and Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas on the left side, the Browns have one of the AFCs top offensive lines. They dont want to weaken one of their only strengths. "Obviously, weve made it kind of evident how important Alex is to this team, and whether its talking with (Pro Bowl tackle) Joe (Thomas) or talking with some of the other players, were all just hoping it gets resolved soon and hes back," quarterback Brian Hoyer said. "Obviously we have a new system to learn and hes the anchor of that offensive line." It would be understandable if Mack wanted to test the free-agent waters. The Browns have gone just 23-57 since he joined them in 2009, and Mike Pettine will be Macks fourth head coach in six years Mack reportedly enjoyed his visit with the Jaguars, who like the Browns, have been stuck in a cycle of losing. But the teams offer to Mack is a strong sign of its intention to upgrade its roster and revamp one of the leagues worst offensive lines. The Jaguars selected left tackle Luke Joeckel with the second overall pick in last years draft and signed former Denver guard Zane Beadles in free agency last month. Malik Hooker Colts Jersey . Canada wasnt in the game from the outset. Head coach Dan Church left Calgary in the morning without addressing the players. He told The Canadian Press he felt the organization lacked confidence in his ability to defend the Olympic gold medal in February. Malik Hooker Youth Jersey . The stakes were higher, the competition more fierce and the atmosphere was that of a playoff game - something the young, upstart Raptors have five weeks to better prepare themselves for or the result will be eerily similar.ST. LOUIS -- Bill Self gathered his team around the bench late in Fridays game against Eastern Kentucky, one that had grown a bit too close for comfort for the second-seeded Jayhawks. His team had gone back to chucking up jumpers, the scrappy Ohio Valley Conference champions had regained the lead, and thoughts of Mercers upset of Duke earlier in the day were on everyones mind. "I thought we responded as a group," Self said. The Jayhawks resumed pounding away inside out of the timeout, slowly took control down the stretch and pulled away for an 80-69 victory in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Andrew Wiggins of Vaughan, Ont., had 19 points for the Jayhawks (25-9), who will play No. 10 seed Stanford on Sunday in the South Regional. Jamari Traylor added 17 points and 14 rebounds, Perry Ellis had 14 points and 13 boards and Tarik Black finished with 12 points as Kansas dominated in the paint. "Our main focus on the game was to get in there and pound them," Traylor said. Even without 7-footer Joel Embiid, who is out for the weekend with a back injury. Glenn Cosey hit five 3-pointers and had 17 points for the 15th-seeded Colonels (24-10), who have lost all eight of their NCAA tournament games. Tarius Johnson and Eric Stutz finished with 15 points apiece, but second-leading scorer Corey Walden was held to four points before fouling out. "Corey is a very important part of our team," Colonels coach Jeff Neubauer said. "With that being said, thats not an excuse. Kansas really played great." In the second half, perhaps. Certainly not in the first. Like a swarm of gnats, the smaller guards of Eastern Kentucky made life miserable for the turnover-prone Jayhawks in the first 20 minutes. Kansas had more turnovers (10) by the midway point than field goal attempts (9), and at one juncture turned it over on six of eight possessions. Most of those miscues turned into easy points at the other end. The Colonels, buoyed by their trademark 3-point shooting, raced out to a 23-14 lead, silencing a heavily pro-Jayhawks crowd and even making some fans out of New Mexico and Stanford folks. "Our defence is focused on turning people over and being aggressive," Stutz said. "In that first half, thats what got us our leead. Tarell Basham Colts Jersey. " It wasnt until the first of two rim-rattling dunks by Wiggins off alley-oop passes that Kansas showed some life. The second came during an 8-0 flurry that gave the Big 12 champions a 28-27 lead with just over a minute to play, their first since the opening minute of the game. The Jayhawks have grown accustomed to tussles with lower seeds, of course. Just last year, they trailed No. 16 seed Western Kentucky at halftime before pulling away down the stretch. It looked like Kansas would pull away again Friday, scoring on its first seven trips down court and building a 45-38 lead. The turnovers suddenly came to a stop -- after 13 in the first half, the Jayhawks had just one in the second -- and Eastern Kentucky was suddenly on the ropes. But rather than continue to pound away inside, where the Jayhawks were having so much success, they reverted to missing jump shots. The Colonels took advantage with a 10-0 run, and Self called a red-faced timeout rather than risk pulling out his hair. "We knew that anything could happen," the Jayhawks Conner Frankamp said. "We were down, we tried to stay poised and not get too rattled, and just tried to make the easy play, because we felt like we could score pretty good down low." Once they were reminded of that fact. Kansas went back inside out of the timeout, dumping the ball to a big man or driving to the basket. The Jayhawks regained the lead at 59-56 on Wayne Seldens free throw and Traylors putback dunk, and then kept turning back every 3-pointer that Eastern Kentucky managed to rattle home. "Just our mentality (changed)," Wiggins said. "We were tougher on the ball. We knew against the defence of this team, we had to make good decisions, great plays and throw it inside." When the final seconds ticked away, and the Jayhawks were assured of advancing, Self slowly walked to the scorers table to shake hands with his Eastern Kentucky counterpart. He exhaled deeply as he stuck out his hand, and the first words he said were, "Great game." "They played great. They played loose and gave us everything we wanted," he said later. "It was a hard-fought game, one we had to work our tail off 40 minutes to come out with a win." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

The decision whether to charge three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart in the August death of a fellow driver at a sprint car race in upstate New York will be up to a grand jury. Cordrea Tankersley Womens Jersey . Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo said Tuesday he made the decision to present the case to a grand jury after reviewing evidence collected by sheriffs investigators. Tantillo could have determined there was not enough evidence to support charges and dropped the case, but instead announced his decision more than a month after Stewarts car struck and killed Kevin Ward Jr. at a dirt-track race on Aug. 9. In a statement, Stewart said he respects the time and effort authorities have spent investigating this tragic accident. I look forward to this process being completed, and I will continue to provide my full co-operation, he said. Stewart-Haas Racing said Stewart will race in Sundays NASCAR event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Stewart spent three weeks in seclusion before returning for the final two races of the Sprint Cup season. He did not make the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship field, and finished 18th in the first Chase race Sunday at Chicagoland. County Sheriff Philip Povero spent weeks investigating the accident at the small track in Canandaigua, several times saying investigators did not have any evidence to support criminal intent by Stewart. Ward had spun while racing alongside Stewart and then the 20-year-old climbed out of his car and walked down the track, waving his arms in an apparent attempt to confront the 43-year-old NASCAR veteran. Upon my review of all of the information contained in the entire investigation, Tantillo said, I have made the determination that it would be appropriate to submit the evidence to the grand jury for their determination as to what action should be taken in this matter. He said the law prevented him from saying when the case would be scheduled or who would be called as witnesses. Experts have said Stewart could be charged with second-degree manslaughter under New York law if prosecutors believe he recklessly caused the death of another person, with negligent homicide another possibility. The sheriff asked in the days after Wards death for spectators to turn over photos and videos of the crash as investigators worked to reconstruct the accident. Among the things being looked at were the dim lighting, how muddy it was and whether Wards dark firesuit played a role in his death, given the conditions. In submitting his findings to the district attorney last week, Povero said they included a forensic video enhancement from state police. After Wards death, NASCAR announced a rule that prohibits drivers from climbing out of a crashed or disabled vehicle -- unless it is on fire -- until safety personnel arrive. Stewart, who has 48 career Cup wins in 542 starts, is one of the biggest stars in the garage. From the small town of Columbus, Indiana, he has long been one of the most proficient drivers in racing, winning in every kind of series, from sprint cars to the elite Sprint Cup Series. He has for years taken part in little races in nondescript towns because he loves the thrill of the high horsepower, lightweight cars skidding around the dirt. He rarely made his schedule public, popping up when he pleased, and he was welcome at the clay track at Canandaigua Motorsports Park the night before the NASCAR race in nearby Watkins Glen. NASCAR spokesman Brett Jewkes said the series was closely following the case. We are aware of the completed investigation and the announced next steps, he said. We will monitor this process and stay in close contact with Stewart-Haas Racing. It would be inappropriate for NASCAR to comment on this case so we will continue to respect the process and authorities involved. Over the weekend, the No. 13 car belonging to Ward returned to racing at the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario. The car was driven by Wards best friend, Dylan Swiernik, who finished 14th out of 30. Afterward, Wards father said he would sell the sprint car that his son drove. Life, Kevin Ward Sr. told Canadian Press, just isnt the same without him. Charles Harris Dolphins Jersey . DETROIT -- Despite falling a single short of hitting for the cycle in front of his childhood idol, Eugenio Suarez still had a memorable game. Tim Williams Jersey . Playing in just his eighth career game, Suarez had a double, triple, homer, two RBIs and scored three runs in Detroits 12-9 victory Saturday. He grounded into a force out in the eighth inning, ending his bid for the cycle. Making it even better, former Tigers star Magglio Ordonez was watching from a Comerica Park suite. Suarez grew up in Venezuela with Ordonez as his favourite player, and wears the same No. 30 jersey. "I didnt know I was ready to have a game like that," Suarez said. "It was great to have the chance at the cycle, even if I didnt get it, but it was more special because Magglio was here." The 22-year-old Suarez started the season in Double-A, and only got 12 games at Triple-A before coming up to the Tigers early this month. Hes hitting .400 with three homers in the big leagues. "We knew that he had some power, but we didnt expect him to come out like this," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "Hes become a major part of our offence a lot faster than we expected." One of Detroits veteran leaders, Victor Martinez, is also surprised at the way Suarez has arrived in the majors. "Hes been playing great for us, both on offence and defence," Martinez said. "When I came up to the majors, it took me a while to adjust and get into a rhythm, but he has just stepped right up." Suarez led off Detroits seven-run third inning with a homer and added an RBI double before it was over, but the Tigers had to hold on after jumping out to an 11-1 lead. The Twins scored eight runs in the final three innings against a slumping Tigers bullpen. "Weve got to be able to finish off games better than that," Ausmus said. "We had to get our top two guys up, and we used almost everyone else. That cant happen." Ian Krol got his first major league save by getting the last four outs, but also gave up a two-run homer. "Ive never been part of anything like that," said Krol, whose only other professional save came in Double-A. Detroit came into the game having lost 17 of 24 after a fast start to the season, but it was helped by another strong pitching performance. Anibal Sanchez (3-2) was charged with three runs and four hits in 6 1-3 innings. Sanchez, Drew Smyly and Max Scherzer have combined for a 1.69 ERA in Detroits last three games. Sanchez was in complete control before he walked the leadoff hitter in the seventh and allowed a one-out RBI triple to Eduardo Nunez. Evan Reed then came in, and Nunez scored on a passed ball. Samuel Deduno (2-5) lasted just 2 2-3 innings for Minnesota, which had won three in a row. The right-hander allowed seven runs and seven hits, struck out three and walked two. "Nothing was good today," he said. "I didnt make good pitches, and I didnt get much luck. I just couldnt stop their offence." Suarez started the third with a drive over the bullpens in left, moments after Ordonez was shown on the video board and received a huge ovation. Suarez drove in Nick Castellanos with a double later in the inning, and Torii Hunter also had an RBI double. Martinezs drive off the top of the right-field wall was originally ruled a double, but quickly became a two-run homer after a replay review. Ian Kinsler drove in the seventh run of the inning with an infield single, and third baseman Trevor Plouffe strained his left oblique diving for the ball. Plouffe stayed in the game for another batter, but had to leave after aggravating the injury while throwing out Hunter to end the inning. Suarez added a triple in the seventh. Only one player -- Cliff Heathcote of the 1918 St. Louis Cardinals -- has recorded a cycle within the first eight games of his career. The Twins scored three times in the seventh and eighth to close to 12-7, but Krol retired Joe Mauer with the bases loaded for the final out of the eighth. Krol allowed Brian Doziers homer in the ninth before finally finishing a game that had lasted almost four hours. "We kept swinging, and they didnt pitch very well after the starter came out, so we had chances," Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire said. "We got back into it, and the guys were up and yelling in the dugout." NOTES: With the homer and double in the third, Suarez became the first Tigers player with two extra-base hits in an inning since Ordonez on Aug. 12, 2007. ... The teams finish the three-game series Sunday afternoon with Detroits Rick Porcello facing Minnesotas Ricky Nolasco. ... Gardenhire said Plouffe will probably go on the disabled list Sunday, and that he is also concerned about Nunez, who injured a hamstring late in the game. Nico Siragusa Youth Jersey . GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Mike Smith stopped 29 shots for his first shutout of the season, Antoine Vermette had a power-play goal in the first period, and the Phoenix Coyotes beat the Vancouver Canucks 1-0 on Thursday night. In a game full of penalties and killed power plays, the Coyotes got stellar goaltending and just enough offence while the Canucks continued to struggle on the offence. Phoenix also got a break on a reviewed goal in the third period. Vancouver lost for the eighth time in nine games as an apparent goal from captain Henrik Sedin near the midpoint of the third was waved off after a replay review. Smith stopped Kevin Bieksas shot but the rebound came to Sedin, who knocked the puck into the net with his body. The Canucks have one goal in their last three games and lost all three on their road trip to Southern California and Arizona. Still, Vancouver had a chance to draw even after a high-sticking double-minor against centre Martin Hanzal. The Canucks were on a power play for all but the last 4 seconds of the game, with six attackers for the final minute, but failed to score. The teams combined for five power plays in the first period, three for the Canucks and two for the Coyotes. Phoenix scored on its second man-advantage situation with 7:09 remaining in the period. Keith Yandle faked a shot from the point and passed to Vermette in front of the red line almost directly to goalie Eddie Lacks left. Vermette took the tough-angle shot and the puck glanced off a Caanucks defender and past Lack. Marlon Humphrey Ravens Jersey. Earlier, Lacks reflexes kept the game scoreless when he turned away a good opportunity for Oliver Ekman-Larsson at the 6:18 mark. The Canucks started the second period on a power play that didnt produce results. Daniel Sedin had an open net 4:32 into the period, but his shot sailed high and over the goal. The Coyotes had a 3-on-1 chance with just over 8 minutes left in the second, but Lack stretched out to stop Radim Vrbatas shot and the Canucks cleared the puck, to the delight of a large contingent of blue-clad Vancouver fans inside Jobing.com Arena. Ekman-Larsson hit the post with a shot with 24 seconds left in the period and the Coyotes on their fifth power play of the game. Vancouvers penalty minutes were an improvement from the 142 combined from the Canucks previous two games. The Canucks had several good chances in the third period but Smith turned them away each time, including a save on Brad Richardsons wrist shot with no defender in front of him at the 1:20 mark. NOTES: The Coyotes improved to 16-7-3 this season when scoring first. ... Phoenix waived D Rostislav Klesla before Thursdays game, and activated D Zbynek Michalek from injured reserve. MONTREAL -- Lars Eller and his young linemates picked a good time to break out of a slump. D Onta Foreman Jersey . Eller and Alex Galchenyuk each had a goal and two assists and Brendan Gallagher had two points as the Montreal Canadiens ended a four-game winless run with a 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Sunday night. All three started the season on fire but cooled off in recent weeks, so a big game and a much-needed win was just what their line and the Canadiens needed. "When youre losing and you want to help the team by scoring, it takes a toll on you," said Eller, who had picked up only two assists in the 12 previous games. "But there was never any panic. "In a lot of the games we played well and were creating chances. The puck just wasnt going in. Today it did and it was nice to get a win." Michael Bournival also scored for Montreal (9-8-1), as Canadiens coach Michel Therrien earned his 250th career NHL win. Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Brock Nelson had goals for the Islanders (6-9-3), who ended a four-game road trip without earning a point. The Islanders were playing a second game in less than 24 hours and were without recently acquired forward Thomas Vanek, who suffered an upper-body injury in a 5-2 loss Saturday night in Columbus. "Everyone finds a way to do what they have to do at this level," said Nelson, who sat out the Columbus game. "I think everyone did a good job. We had good energy from the start, so I dont think it was a factor." The Eller-Galchenyuk-Gallagher unit had a combined 19 points through Montreals first five games of the season, but points have been harder to come by of late as the entire team struggled to put the puck in the net. The squad had only seven goals in the four previous games. But everything clicked together against the struggling Islanders. "For some reason we just have that chemistry," said Eller, who has been briefly moved to other lines at times recently to try to shake up the attack. "Things just come naturally. "Everybodys playing on their instincts, so theres not too much hesitation." It started with the opening goal 1:46 into the second period when Galchenyuk sent Gallagher in on the right side for a wrist shot that beat backup goalie Kevin Poulin, who started in place of Evgeni Nabokov. Ellers turn came at 16:34 on a power play when he one-timed Galchenyuks cross-ice pass inside the far post from the right circle. Galchenyuk got his goal at 10:37 of the third frame as he completed a tic-tac-toe play with his linemates, tipping the puck in from the edge of the crease after Gallagher had caused a turnover in the New York zone. The line combined for 10 of Montreals 31 shots. New York shot 26 at Carey Price. "They did a lot of a good things as well as contributing on offence," said Therrien. "I like how they pressured the puck carrier and created a lot of turnovers." New Yorks penalty killing woes on their road trip continued as Montreal went 2 for 5 with the man advantage. The Isles killed only nine-of-17 penalties in the four games. The good news was their power play scored twice, ending an 0-for-22 drought spanning their previous seven games. Bouchard beat Price with a shot from the top of the left circle to tie the game 1-1 at 7:23 of the second frame. And Nelson saw a John Tavares pass from behind the net go in off his skate 4:10 into the third. The goal passed video review. "I knew I got a little piece of my stick on it and I felt it hit my foot, but I knew I didnt kick it in any way," the rookie centre said of his second career goal. "It was kind of a lucky bounce." Notes -- Montreal forward Travis Moen left after the first period with a flu. . . . Forward Gabriel Dumont was called up from AHL Hamilton to play and George Parros sat out. . . . IIHF president Rene Fasel was in attendance, as was former Soviet goaltending great Vladislav Tretiak, who was applauded by the Bell Centre crowd. . . . Hard times for struggling Canadiens centre David Desharnais: Even new Montreal mayor Denis Coderre tweeted that he should be given a one-way ticket to Hamilton. D Onta Foreman Youth Jersey . Nikolai Khabibulin was yanked in the second period, and the Ottawa Senators looked ready to put away a big road win. RALEIGH, N.C. -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after speeding down a street in Raleigh on Saturday, bringing the troubled Pro Bowlers already cloudy future into more doubt. Gordon was taken into custody after being pulled over for going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on U.S. 70 in northwest Raleigh around 3 a.m. Saturday, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said. The police report on Gordons arrest wasnt finished, so Sughrue didnt know what type of vehicle Gordon was driving or what led the officer to suspect he had been drinking. Gordon was released on bail. Court records did not list an attorney. The 23-year-old wide receiver has been in trouble before off the field. He was suspended two games last season for violating the NFLs substance-abuse policy, but still led the league with 1,646 yards receiving . Gordon reportedly failed another drug test during the off-season, which could lead to a season-long ban. In May, he was ticketed for speeding and a passenger in his car was cited for marijuana possession. Hee pleaded not guilty and has a hearing in the case scheduled for next Friday. Julién Davenport Jersey. Gordon was at teams recent mini-camp, but has declined interviews. Browns management has been waiting to hear from the NFL before deciding Gordons future. Cleveland General Manager Ray Farmer found out about the arrest hours after it happened. "We are aware of the matter and are disappointed to learn of this situation. We will comment further at the appropriate time," Farmer said in a statement. Gordons agent Drew Rosenhaus said he had no comment about the arrest. Gordon entered the league out of Baylor with a history of substance-abuse issues. Gordon is known to have failed at least three drug tests in college, but the Browns were willing to overlook his past when they selected him in the second round of the supplemental draft in 2012. Former teammate and captain, linebacker DQwell Jackson said on Twitter: "If youre close to Josh Gordon please help this kid, its not about football anymore its about picking up the pieces of his life." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

Jake Peavy can give the San Francisco Giants a commanding lead in the World Series on Wednesday when he takes the ball for Game 2 against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Josh Jones Womens Jersey . Its been a tale of two seasons for Peavy, who was just 1-9 with a 4.72 ERA and 20 home runs allowed in 20 starts for Boston before he was traded to the Giants. Since hes been in San Francisco, though, reunited with former manager Bruce Bochy, Peavy has resembled the pitcher who won an NL Cy Young Award with the San Diego Padres in 2007. Peavy pitched to a 2.17 ERA and won six of his 12 starts with the Giants after the late-July deal. Hes also carried that into the postseason, surrendering just two earned runs in 9 2/3 innings in two starts. The 33-year-old hurler will try to follow another marvelous outing from Madison Bumgarner in Game 1 on Tuesday. Bumgarner continued to cement his status as the best postseason pitcher in baseball on Tuesday in Game 1, as he gave up one run over seven innings and the Giants rolled past Kansas City, 7-1. Hunter Pence provided the offense with a two-run home run and Pablo Sandoval reached base safely for the 24th straight postseason game with an RBI double in the first inning. San Francisco has now won seven straight World Series games. The winner of Game 1 has gone on to win 10 of the last 11 World Series and 15 of the past 17, with 2002 (San Francisco defeating Anaheim) and 2009 (Philadelphia defeating New York) being the lone exceptions. However, the last five road teams to win Game 1 have lost Game 2. Bumgarners only mistake was a two-out home run to Royals catcher Salvador Perez in the seventh inning, which ended his MLB-record scoreless innings streak on the road at 32 2/3 frames. It was just about going out and making pitches and executing, Bumgarner said. I know thats a boring answer, but for me, thats all it is, is Im just trying to make pitches and take all that other stuff and push it aside and just concentrate on moving the ball around, getting ahead, and getting outs and getting us back in the dugout. The Royals saw their postseason winning streak come to an end at 11 games, as they fell for the first time in nine tries in these playoffs. We didnt expect to come in here and sweep the San Francisco Giants, Royals manager Ned Yost said. We knew that this was a series that was going to go deep. We know how tough they are. They swung the bats really well. The Royals, meanwhile, will turn to 23-year-old rookie Yordano Ventura, who has been battling some shoulder issues. He left his ALCS start versus the Orioles with tightness in his right shoulder after allowing four runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings. After pitching to a 3.20 ERA during the season, Ventura has allowed seven runs in 13 innings this postseason. Of course, Ventura almost ended the Royals postseason chances when he served up a three-run home run in relief of Shields in Kansas Citys wild card game. He bounced back with a marvelous ALDS effort against the Los Angeles Angels, though, before being roughed up by the Os. For me, another thing I focus on is to live day by day, Ventura said with Game 3 starter Jeremy Guthrie serving as his translator. Really, what happened (against) Oakland, I had moved past that. These teams actually met in the regular season, as the Royals completed a three-game sweep at Kauffman Stadium. Kevin King Packers Jersey . Others describe it as taking the parrot for a walk. Josh Jones Youth Jersey .com) - The Carolina Panthers won for the first time in seven games last week, were without Cam Newton due to a car accident this week, but somehow sit atop the much-maligned NFC South. CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- This was more like the Kobe Bryant the Los Angeles Lakers are accustomed to seeing. Bryant, who is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon and still learning to trust his legs, was back to making big shots down the stretch and helping his team win Saturday night -- although in a somewhat tentative manner. "I dont know what I can and cant do," Bryant said. "Im just trying to measure it. I didnt know if I could drive to the basket. Every game has been like that." Bryant took a big step in the right direction, scoring a season-high 21 points to help the Lakers defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 88-85 for their first win since Bryant returned four games ago. Bryant was 8 of 15 from the field and hit two free throws with 37 seconds left in the game to put the Lakers ahead for good. Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill had 15 points apiece for the Lakers and Nick Young had 13 points off the bench. Kemba Walker had 24 points and eight assists for the slumping Bobcats, who have lost three straight and five of their last seven. "I knew it was coming eventually, its not a big deal," Bryant said of getting his first win of the season. "We know its a marathon not a sprint. We have to do the right things game in, game out. Some games youre going to lose." Bryant averaged 11 points in his first three games. He eclipsed that by halftime. Bryant showed his touch when he banked in a 15-footer over Gerald Henderson and his range when he stepped out to knock down a 3-pointer from 26 feet. But there were some struggles as well. Bryant committed seven turnovers and air-balled a 3-pointer. But he did enough to help the Lakers win. "I think he improved a little bit," Lakers coach Mike DAntoni said. "I think he got his legs under his shot a little bit and that looked better. He got tired. He got tired toward the end and it was his first back-to-back. Theres a lot of things that he has to work through. "We have to somehow find some wins and gut it out. Its not pretty right now. We dont have a playmaker and weve got to get guys healthy and get Kobe well." The Lakers trailed most of the game, but cut the lead to 85-84 when Bryant drove the lane and scoored a left-handed layup with 1:22 remaining. Jamaal Williams Packers Jersey. Al Jefferson and Walker would both miss on the other end and Bryant went to work looking to take the lead. He drew a foul on a jump shot with 37 seconds left and hit both free throws with some of the crowd chanting "M-V-P" while others booed. Henderson missed a jumper for Charlotte, but Jefferson corralled the rebound and the Bobcats took a timeout to set up the last shot. Jefferson backed down Pau Gasol but couldnt convert a baby hook and the Gasol grabbed the rebound and was fouled. Gasol hit both free throws to push the lead to three with 6.2 seconds left. Ben Gordons 3-pointer fell short as time expired. "It was one of those games that came down to the last play at the end, but we have to try to do a better job of taking care of some of the minor mistakes we made earlier in the game so it doesnt come down to the last second," Gordon said. The Bobcats (10-14) came into the week looking to improve their spot in the playoff picture in the East, but dropped all three games. Coach Steve Clifford, who worked as an assistant last year with the Lakers, said having a player like Bryant to go to in the fourth quarter -- even if not completely healthy -- is just a huge advantage. "When it comes down fourth quarter in this league if you have a perimeter player who can draw help and a second defender, its a huge advantage," Clifford said. "Were going to have to be really good at getting the ball to Al in spots. Again, its not easy. The easier thing is to have Kobe. "You can just him the ball and he just makes plays. But thats all right, that is the way our team is made and we have to learn how to do that. But it is more difficult? Its infinitely more difficult, yes it is." The highlight of the game came in the third quarter when Josh McRoberts cut down the lane, took a pass from Walker and skied over Pau Gasol for a one-handed slam dunk that brought the crowd to its feet.
