Petra Stunt's husband James Stunt takes 5 car entourage to pick up art

An Old Master to go please: Bernie Ecclestone's son in law picks up some more paintings (and a parking ticket) as he goes art shopping again in his five car entourage

Billionaire art collector spotted outside Christie's how much is a hermes birkin handbags Art Gallery in London's Old Brompton Road28 year old arrived with his cavalcade of cars, including two Range Rovers, two Rolls Royce and a LamborghiniBut a nearby traffic warden failed to look intimidated going about his days workMr Stunt, who is married to Bernie Ecclestone's daughter Petra, was seen collecting paintingsBy

Billionaire businessman James Stunt's 1million calvalcade of cars has been spotted for a second time this week, parked outside another prestigious art gallery in the capital.

The 28 year old, who is married to Petra the daughter of Formula One billionaire Bernie Ecclestone was yesterday seen picking up an array of art work at Christie's Art Gallery in London's Old Brompton Road.

But it seems Mr Stunt's vast wealth and fortune does not make him exempt from the eagle eye of parking attendants.

A traffic warden patrolling the exclusive South Kensington streets close to the prestigious art house, was not intimidated by the five strong cavalry of Rolls Royce, Range Rovers and a Lamborghini.

The conscientious warden did not hesitate in the face of the imposing brigade of cars and security staff, appearing to treat Mr Stunt as any other motorist on his patch.

He appeared to take down the fleet's details before a piece of paper resembling a parking ticket was placed on the front window of the Lamborghini super car, which is worth 350,000 and was driven away from the gallery by Mr Stunt himself.

Mr Stunt was accompanied by his team of security staff, as he appeared to be adding to his already extensive art collection.

Members of his team were spotted carrying paintings from the art gallery, loading them into the waiting fleet of super cars.

Just four days earlier, Mr Stunt was spotted in almost identical circumstances, as his convoy pulled up at the Daniel Hunt Fine Art Gallery on Sloane Street in neighbouring Chelsea.

Mr Stunt is well known for his art collection, and recently he attempted to purchase a self portrait by Baroque painter Anthony Van Dyck for his Los Angeles home.

But the sale of the painting fell through when art campaigners mounted opposition to the work being shipped out of the UK.

The successful campaign raised more than 10million to save the portrait for the nation, and the work, which dates back to 1640, has been offered to the National Portrait Gallery after Mr Stunt agreed to withdraw.

Mr Stunt has been married to Petra, 25, since 2011 and the couple have a daughter, Lavinia. He has an estimated wealth of 5.5billion.

His father in law Bernie Ecclestone is currently on trial in Germany accused of bribery, which he denies.

The Formula One billionaire, reportedly said this week, that Mr Stunt's extravagant antics are way over the top.

The motor racing tycoon said: 'When I saw replica hermes handbags James a few weeks ago, I told him quite upfront: "You are a flash bd."

'I said to him: "Why are you driving around in that bloody car?" He was proud to tell me it's the only one in the world, there isn't another one.

'It's beautiful, but I said: "What do you want this car for in London?" He said it's very comfortable. But I said: "For Christ's sake! Where are you going in it?" '

'James has

got another car following him with so called bodyguards, but nobody's

going to kill him,' 83 year old Mr Ecclestone added.

'I told him: "If any one wanted to kill you, which they don't, those guys that are driving in that car ain't going to help."

'I think he got this from America. Everyone who hermes bags replica wants to be known there has to have a bodyguard.'

Mary Tyler Moore

n">Emmy winning actress Mary Tyler Moore, who brightened American television screens as the perky suburban housewife on "The Dick Van Dyke Show," and then as a fledgling feminist on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," died on Wednesday at the age of 80, a representative said.

Moore, who won seven Emmy Awards for her television work, died in the company of friends and her husband, Dr. S. Robert Levine, representative Mara Buxbaum said in a statement.

She had been seriously ill over the past two years, when she was in and out of hospitals and suffered from heart and kidney problems, close friends said. She was a diabetic, and in 2011 she had a benign brain tumor removed.

Moore also was nominated in 1981 for an Academy Award for the film "Ordinary People," playing a character very different from her TV roles an icy woman coping with a suicide attempt by her 18 year old son.

Robert Redford, who directed the movie, said in a statement that her "energy, spirit and talent created a new bright spot in the television landscape and she will be very much missed. The courage she displayed in taking on a role darker than anything she had ever done was brave and enormously powerful."

Moore's eponymous show and "The Dick Van Dyke Show" were both among the most popular sitcoms of their time, with the former ranking seventh and the latter No. 20 on TV Guide's 2013 list of best television shows.

"There are no words. She was THE BEST!," actor Dick Van Dyke said on Twitter. "We always said that we changed each other's lives for the better."

Moore, asked by Reuters in 2012 when she was given the SAG lifetime achievement award how she wanted to be remembered, said: "As a good chum. As somebody who was happy most of the time and took great pride in making people laugh when I was able to pull that off."

Ed Asner, who acted alongside Moore in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," mourned her death on Twitter, writing: "marytylermoore my heart goes out to you and your family. Know that I love you and believe in your strength."

Longtime TV interviewer Larry King on Twitter called Moore "a dear friend and a truly great person. A fighter."

Moore had emerged on television in the early 1960s when many of the women in leading roles were traditional, apron wearing stay at home moms like June Cleaver on "Leave It to Beaver."

Moore's bright eyed Laura Petrie character was prone to moaning "Oh, Rob!" at her husband in moments of exasperation on "The Dick Van Dyke Show," but she chipped away at that stereotype. For one thing, she wore stylish pants rather than house dresses and styled her hair like Jacqueline Kennedy's.

Moore's Mary Richards character on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" went even farther. Mary Richards focused on her career as an assistant producer for the news show at television station WJM in Minneapolis and was determined to fulfill the lyrics of the show's theme song "You're going to make it after all" as she joyously flung her beret into the air in the show's opening credits.

While she may have had conservative Midwestern values and been a bit naive and prim, 30 ish Mary Richards was, by 1970s television sitcom standards, a budding feminist. She lived on her own, was not hunting a husband and protested that she was not being paid as much as a male counterpart.

Asner, playing Mary's gruff boss, Lou Grant, summed up her character and their relationship in the show's first imitation Van Cleef & Arpels clover necklace episode.

"You know what?" he growled at her. "You've got spunk. It was the cornerstone of MTM Enterprises, the company Moore and then husband Grant Tinker used to launch three spin offs "Lou Grant," "Rhoda" and "Phyllis" as well as other hit shows such as "The Bob Newhart Show," "WKRP in Cincinnati," "Hill Street Blues" and "St. Elsewhere."

One of New York born Moore's first entertainment jobs was appearing as Happy Hotpoint, a singing and dancing pixie in television commercials for Hotpoint appliances. In 1961 she was cast on "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Moore won two supporting actress Emmys for that show and four best actress Emmys for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

"I'm not an innately funny person," she told The New York Times. "I find it an almost overbearing responsibility when I think about having to be funny. I like simply standing next to the funny person. Just being part of what caused the laughter is great fun for me."

Moore won an Emmy in 1993 for the TV movie "Stolen Babies," giving her a total of seven for her career, including one special Emmy in 1974 as actress of the year. She was nominated nine other times.

She was given a special Tony Award for her work in "Whose Life Is It Anyway" on Broadway.

Moore's life was not all awards and perky television characters. She grew up in New York and Los Angeles with an alcoholic mother, a demanding father and many self doubts. When she became a mother herself, she felt guilty about not spending more time with her son, Richard, when he was young.

Shortly after "Ordinary People" came out in 1980, Richard, 24, fake van cleef and arpel necklace was killed when a shotgun he was handling discharged a death that was ruled accidental.

Moore's 19 year marriage to Tinker ended in divorce in 1981 amid what she said was a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace imitation lot of drinking and too little talking. She eventually went into rehab at the Betty Ford Center.

During her time on "The Mary Tyler Moore" show, Moore was diagnosed with diabetes, which affected her vision in later years.

After the end of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," Moore tried two variety shows but neither caught on. Two other shows set in newsrooms "Mary," in which she played a newspaper columnist, and "New York News," starring Moore as a newspaper publisher also were short lived.

Moore still appeared frequently in one off television roles and in plays. In 2003 she quit the Broadway play "Rose's Dilemma," however, after playwright Neil Simon sent her a letter shortly before curtain time saying, "Learn your lines or get out of my play."

In 2013, she appeared on the TV show "Hot in Cleveland" for two episodes.

Moore, who became an activist for diabetes research and animal rights, wed for a third time in 1983, marrying Levine, a cardiologist who had treated her mother.

Mucking And Gutting

Flora Lichtman is here with our Video Pick of the Week. Flora, you visited Queens, the neighborhoods called the Rockaways, that was really wiped out by Hurricane Sandy.

FLORA LICHTMAN, BYLINE: It was hit very hard. Yes, this is a peninsula in Queens. If you past JFK, you hit the Rockaways. And so they have a bay side and an ocean side. And if you walk on the ocean side, you know, the destruction is still quite visible. There are houses that were literally ripped in half and crumbling on the beach. The boardwalk was unzipped like a zipper. It just split in half. Just it looks like lives were stopped, sort of, dead in their tracks.

FLATOW: Right. Right. Right. And, well, you found is that while in your Video Pick of the Week, and documented terrifically, is that while people keep talking about the destruction, the physical destruction, there is insidious sort of destruction going on, which makes it impossible for them live there in those houses.

LICHTMAN: That's right. So people who were there who didn't whose house does still exist, who have power and heat restored so that's not everybody there they're dealing with another kind of threat. And it's mold. This seems to be the sort of primary concern I heard from Peter Corless, who's a community organizer there. And many other people that I talked to, mold is one of the top concerns for people living there. Now, so as water came through, it left behind damp basements, some of which weren't pumped out for weeks or months. And now, people's homes need to be gutted because.

LICHTMAN: Totally gutted. This is the interesting thing: I talked to folks from Respond Rebuild, Terri Bennett and Gabby Van Houten, and they they're working on these houses, stripping them. And you have to just take out everything down to the studs.

LICHTMAN: So the insulation has to go. We're not just talking about, you know, your knick knacks.

LICHTMAN: Everything has to go.

FLATOW: Of course, the mold loves to eat the paper and the wallboard and all that stuff.

LICHTMAN: This is a fascinating replica Van Cleef & Arpels necklace thing. I spoke with Joan Bennett, who's a mycologist at Rutgers. And she has a sort of interesting relationship with mold post hurricanes herself.

JOAN BENNETT: Yeah, nobody likes to lose their house. But to lose it to the life form that you've been studying all your life. My way of coping was, OK, I'm going to try to learn more about his.

LICHTMAN: So Bennett worked at Tulane and was living in New Orleans, and her house flooded and became completely molded over. And so her strategy was to actually survey what mold was there.

LICHTMAN: But she said, just as you stated, that mold fungi eats a lot of stuff. That's what we know about them. They, you know, they take those logs in the forest and turn them down to nothing. And they are doing that in people's homes. So if you have wood floors or rugs. Cotton is a form of cellulose, so they'll brake down too. And the interesting thing she said is that a lot of people here have gypsum board with paper on the back. And that's the perfect food. Whereas in New Orleans, there is a huge mold problem, but the walls were spared for people, at least do have plaster.

LICHTMAN: You didn't have this much mold.

FLATOW: And now, at this cold snap, it's 10 degrees outside. The mold is still growing. But wait till the spring hits.

LICHTMAN: This is the big fear that I heard from Peter Corless and others that, you know, people are trying to get the their stuff out now because as it replica Van Cleef and Arpels necklace warms up, and Joan Bennett suggested this too, there's going to be fungal explosion in places that haven't completely stripped out everything. So, you know, looking forward, it's just Van Cleef & Arpels necklace imitation this is a never ending story of recovery.

FLATOW: And it's blocks and blocks and blocks of this stuff still.

LICHTMAN: Many, many blocks. I mean, most houses in front of them, I didn't walk down a single block without debris on the sidewalk.

FLATOW: Wow. That's our Video Pick of the Week. Flora Lichtman was out there in Queens, in the Rockaways. You can see, you know, you see on the news of people's furniture. But you don't get to go into the house like Flora did and see the mold that makes it impossible to live there for thousands people, and they have to rip out the whole thing and start over again. Thank you, Flora.

31 hurt in one of California

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) Ana Car didn't remember the sudden impact, only that she woke up among dead and injured passengers in a dark bus filled with screams of terror and agony.

The retired factory worker had spent an evening gambling at a desert casino and was sound asleep when the bus heading to Los Angeles smashed into the rear of a slow moving tractor trailer. The crash killed the bus driver and 12 passengers and injured 31 other people.

"I can't believe how many died," she said, sobbing Monday as she recovered from bumps, bruises and a sore back. "It was so horrible. These images are going to stay in my head for life."

The National Transportation Safety Board was investigating the collision, which is one of the deadliest wrecks in California history.

The truck was creeping along at 5 mph because of utility work that had gone on throughout the night along Interstate 10 near Palm Springs.

"There's no indication whatsoever that the driver applied the brakes," said California Highway Patrol Border Division Chief Jim Abele, citing the power of the impact love cartier bracelet copy and the fact that no skid marks were found.

Initial reports said four people were dead, but many bodies were later found in the front portion of the bus that ended up inside the trailer.

"They just kept pulling bodies stuck in between the seats," he said. "It's just due to this bus going so fast into the back of the truck. Sunday. She awoke to find herself standing amid bodies flung everywhere. Those who could move were pushing and shoving in the pre dawn darkness to climb out from under each other.

She clambered to a broken window to yell for help, panicked she would be trapped if the bus caught fire. Motorists who stopped to help pulled her out the broken window.

"I couldn't stand when they got me out," Car said. "I sat on the side of the road, watching them pull so many people out. I saw so much blood and two dead bodies. I was so scared."

The NTSB planned to look into the history of the bus, its owner driver, Teodulo Elias Vides, and other circumstances, such as what he was doing during the four to five hours fake bangle cartier the bus was at the Red Earth Casino in the desert town of Thermal before making the 135 mile trip back to LA.

Vides, 59, owned USA Holiday and was listed as the only driver, according to federal and state records. He had a valid commercial license and a clean record in recent years. And the bus had passed annual inspections.

USA Holiday was licensed to travel between states, which subjected Vides to federal limits on driver work hours. and returning less than 12 hours later Vides would have been within those limits, which cap driving time to 10 hours within a 15 hour span and do not prescribe specific rest requirements.

A call to the company was not returned.

Vides was named in lawsuits stemming from three freeway collisions, though he was not the driver in any of the cases, according to court records.

In 2007, a USA Holiday bus collided with a Honda Civic in Riverside, killing the car's driver and two passengers. Family members filed a personal injury and negligence lawsuit against the driver of the bus and Vides, whose attorneys argued that the Honda driver lost control. That case was dismissed.

The 1996 bus did not have seat belts and was old enough that it probably did not have a data recorder that would reveal how fast it was traveling and whether the driver braked before impact.

At the street corner where the bus was supposed to arrive, candles and flowers surrounded a tree.

"It's painful," said Cartier Houpe, who occasionally rides the bus to the casinos but skipped the latest trip. "I'm still trying to find out the names of people. Once we find out, it'll be more painful."

The Riverside County sheriff coroner's office identified 12 of the 13 people killed. The dead included 10 women between 52 and 72, plus the driver and a 62 year old man. One man remained unidentified. Most were from Los Angeles.

Four passengers remained hospitalized in critical condition, officials said.

One of the fatalities was imitation love bracelet cartier Zoila Aguilera, 72, a retired cook who liked to head out every other weekend to play the slots for fun, said her grandson, Bryan Ramirez.

Ramirez said he was having breakfast and watching a soccer game Sunday morning when his family heard the news of the crash. He said he immediately started calling his grandmother's phone, hoping she would pick up.

Aguilera insisted on sitting near the front of the bus, rebuffing her son, Ramirez's father, who tried to get her to sit toward the rear.

"She loved to sit in the front. There was no changing her mind," Ramirez said. "She just felt safer there."

Car said she ended up toward the back of the bus because she bought a $20 last minute ticket after running into her friend, Rosa Ruiz, who persuaded her to take the journey to a different casino that night.

They knew each other from previous gambling jaunts, and she enjoyed Ruiz's sense replica jewelry cartier of humor.

When she got back on the bus after playing quarter slots, she chatted briefly with Ruiz and then sank into her seat and quickly fell asleep. She was devastated to learn Ruiz, 53, was killed.

Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis win World Cup of imitation Hermes necklace Darts for England

England have won the World Cup of Darts for the second year running after coming from behind to beat the Netherlands 3 2 in an entertaining final in Frankfurt on Sunday.

Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis were 2 1 down to Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld in the final but the duo then both won their reverse singles matches to secure the title.

Neither player was able to break throw in the match but Taylor averaged 102.94, took out 149 in the third leg, and kept his cool in the decider, hitting double 16 at the first attempt to win it.

Taylor won both his singles matches during the final

However, Van Barneveld then beat Lewis 4 3 in another fine match, holding his nerve as Lewis came back from 2 0 down to level and coming up with an 11 darter to win the deciding leg.

And Van Barneveld's good darts continued in the doubles match as he and Van Gerwen averaged 95.08 to win it 4 2, Van Barneveld hitting a maximum and then double 16 to take the decisive leg.

But Van Barneveld was no match for Taylor in his second singles match of the final, the Englishman romping to a 4 1 victory in a battle between two old rivals and setting up a decider.

Taylor and England eased past Northern Ireland in the semi finals

Lewis and Van Gerwen therefore settled down to decide the World Cup and Van Gerwen lost his way in the second leg, missing several doubles and allowing Lewis to surge into a 2 0 advantage.

Van Gerwen hit back to take leg three but, with his opponent sitting on 22, Lewis calmly took out 76 to claim leg four and then started leg five with a maximum.

Another 180 followed two visits later but some nervy misses followed on the doubles and Van Gerwen almost took out 110 to punish Lewis.

The Englishman eventually took out double eight to win the match 4 1 and England could lift the trophy for the fourth time in five years, although not before Lewis and Van Gerwen exchanged angry words on the oche.

Lewis and Michael van Gerwen had a heated exchange after England retained their title in Frankfurt

Lewis said after the match of his partnership with Taylor: "We've got great chemistry and we're trying our best for each other and for our country, and you don't want to let anyone down.

"I didn't play very well in the doubles and I'd lost to Raymond in the singles, and I think the two best players on the night were Phil and Raymond.

"I believe in Phil copy Hermes necklace and I thought that he could beat fake Hermes jewelry Raymond and put me in to Hermes enamel necklace copy win it, and that's how it worked out."

Earlier in the day, the Netherlands had survived a tense doubles shoot out against Australia in the quarter finals to reach the last four.

The two time World Cup winners were pushed all the way by Simon Whitlock and Kyle Anderson in a match of the highest quality.

World No 1 Van Gerwen defeated Whitlock 4 1 in their singles clash before Anderson edged out van Barneveld 4 3.

The doubles decider ebbed and flowed before going to a final leg at 3 3, but the Dutch pair then each opened with 180s and, although they missed out on a perfect leg, an 11 darter took them through to the last four.

The Netherlands survived a major scare in the last eight

It was far more straightforward for the Netherlands in the semi finals, as they cruised to a 2 0 defeat of Belgium, Van Gerwen beating Ronny Huybrechts 4 1 before Van Barneveld secured a 4 2 win over Kim Huybrechts.

The Belgians had earlier beaten Scotland in another thrilling quarter final, Kim Huybrechts defeating world champion Gary Anderson 4 2 before Robert Thornton's 4 1 win over Ronny Huybrechts took the tie all the way.

However, Kim Huybrechts then hit the winning double for Belgium in all four legs, as they took the pairs game 4 2 for victory.

England cruised into the semi finals with a 2 0 defeat of Austria, Taylor whitewashing Mensur Suljovic 4 0 with a 100 average before Lewis saw off Rowby John Rodriguez 4 1, averaging 103 and hitting finishes of 117 and 110.

And it was a similar story for England in the semis, where they beat Northern Ireland 2 0, Taylor beating Brendan Dolan 4 0 before Lewis defeated Daryl Gurney 4 1.
No need to put pressure on Canucks Nikita Tryamkin

The comments of Vancouver Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins about Nikita Tryamkin on Friday were curious in both timing and tone.

I think we can all agree there is still plenty of room van cleef arpels necklace imitation for improvement in the big Russian's game, so the coach wasn't wrong to point out areas Tryamkin must work on to further his development in the NHL. But to single out the 6 foot 7blueliner and somehow suggest that he alone could have altered the result of a third period collapse against Boston earlier in the week seemed completely off base.

It was odd, too, that the comments came less than 24 hours after Tryamkin was one of the very few in a Canucks uniform who appeared to give a damn in a 4 2 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Stars. Tryamkin had an assist, two shots, three hits and tangled with Stars captain Jamie Benn in a second period scrap. It was among the more complete efforts in a Canucks line up that looks too often now like it would simply prefer to fast forward to the end of the season.

Tryamkin's on a short list of the good news stories on the Canucks roster this season. And Thursday's game marked the one year anniversary of replica van cleef necklace his airlift from the Kontinental Hockey League. If anything, the coach should be trumpeting the work many in the organization have done developing the player over the past fake van cleef necklaces 12 months rather than publicly flogging him for the failings of the entire team in a 6 3 loss to Boston.

This is a player who arrived as a curiosity a year ago and now figures to be a fixture on the blueline for years to come. Already a fan favourite, he represents a draft win for the organization a third round pick in 2014 and is a fascinating mixture of raw size and untapped potential who understandably looked scared as a stranger in a strange land and strange league when he debuted against Colorado at Rogers Arena on March 16, 2016.

His first NHL shift lasted all of 12 seconds and, at that, he made it seem like it was about 10 seconds too long as he retreated to the bench without breaking a sweat. At night's end, Tryamkin had logged 11:33 of ice time and picked up an assist in his big league debut.

In his first full season, Tryamkin is now a player who averages 16:30 of ice a night and at times this season has topped 21 minutes. He has been routinely used as a penalty killer. He has a goal and seven assists, and leads the Canucks in both hits and, after his Thursday night tussle, is now tops in penalty minutes, too. All of this from a player who has yet to play a full season in the best league on the planet where we're constantly reminded how long it takes defensemen to develop.

Perhaps because of his physical stature at times I think many forget just how young Tryamkin really is. He's 22 and won't turn 23 until late August. He's the youngest defencemen in the line up, and on the current Canucks roster only Bo Horvat and fellow Russian Nikolay Goldobin are younger. Among his 2014 draft class, only 12 players have logged more NHL game action than Tryamkin and 10 of them were first round selections. So, in many ways he is already way ahead of the curve and will surely get better with experience.

That's why Thursday night and Friday too seemed like a time to celebrate all that the Canucks have in Nikita Tryakmin and just how far he's come in a year. It seemed misguided for the coach to use the occasion to poke holes in the guy's game.

At a time when the organization is promising better days ahead, Tryamkin figures quite literally to be a big part of the next core of the hockey club. Prop him up, don't knock him down. And in a team game, certainly don't point fingers at just one player and make the assertion that he should somehow be able to beat opponents on his own.

MBPJ plans permanent road closure in Section 52 of PJ New Town

THE plan to close three streets to traffic around Menara MBPJ, Section 52 in PJ New Town from June 17 is to allow pedestrians to move freely, said Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad.

The PJ New Town commercial area should be a pedestrian mall where people can walk, cycle or even rollerblade safely, she added.

She said Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will close Jalan Lapangan Merdeka, including the alleys leading to Jalan 52/8, Jalan Tengah and part of Jalan 52/18, to vehicles. About 80 parking bays will also be affected.

The mayor further explained that the move was meant to revitalise Petaling Jaya central business district, especially clover necklace van cleef copy after office hours and on weekends.

The city council will close the roads on the last weekend of each month until May, as a trial run.

Alinah proposed to convert Jalan Tengah into a boulevard with kiosks and canopies for pedestrians.

engineers and town planners will ensure proper landscaping is carried out and more benches are installed.

will organise activities such as having buskers perform, she said.

MBPJ move caught about 100 business owners by surprise as most were notified about the closure only through a survey conducted from Jan 10 to 13 this year.

They disagree with the plan, saying it will adversely affect their businesses.

On Thursday, all the affected shops in the square put up banners in front of their premises expressing their dissatisfaction over the proposed road closure.

have told MBPJ that we do not agree with the closure but the council wants to push it through, said Suchan Restaurant Bakery Cafe owner, who only wanted to be known as Sue.

She suggested that the city council turn the Civic Centre carpark nearby into a pedestrian mall for weekend activities.

will have a spillover effect in the commercial area. Activities must be done in a creative manner without causing inconvenience or disrupting existing businesses, she added.

Malaysian Institute of Baking chairman Don Yong said the closure would deprive people of affordable public parking bays.

in the area will also be affected. MBPJ can use the Civic Centre parking area for activities like music events or even hold a weekend flea market, he added.

Advance One Stop Supplies manager Rahim Abdul Mohammad Ismail said the same roads were fake van cleef and arpels necklaces closed to traffic in the mid 1990s but were later reopened after business owners protested.

Forever Tailor Lady Fashion owner Annie Wong, who has been running her business in Jalan Tengah for 30 years, said MBPJ had not consulted business owners on the road closure.

between the council and businesses is important and our feedback must be sought. We are not against the idea of having other business activities here but not at our expense, she said.

Coffee shop owner Angie Ang hopes MBPJ will brief them before making a decision.

get a lot of business here on weekends and if the road is closed, we may as well close shop, too.

stock delivery for the restaurant will not be able to reach me, so how am I going to run my business if the roads are permanently closed? she asked.

Meanwhile, Bukit Gasing assemblyman R. Rajiv urged MBPJ to put the plan on hold and listen to the feedback from business owners first.

will be a discussion between the business owners and MBPJ some time next week, he said, adding that all those involved should receive a notice from MBPJ stating the date, time and venue of the meeting.

Rajiv advised all business owners to attend van cleef and arpel clover necklace copy the meeting to give their views.

Stating that the infrastructure must be in place before implementation, he added that disabled friendly pedestrian walkways and adequate security personnel to patrol the area should be in place first.

City councillor Tang Fuie Koh said a committee comprising business owners and the council would be formed to ensure better dissemination of information in future.

It Is High Time That You Ventured Out And Purchased Audemars Piguet Replica

Are you ready for the most grandiose and captivating event in the Audemars Piguet Replica watch world of 2009? So now , I will tell you something about history of Audemars Piguet watches.

A trio of warships christened Royal Oak, named after the legendary "royal oak" a hollowed out tree which offered King Charles II a safe hiding place from his pursuers lent their distinctive name in 1972 to an equally distinctive luxury sports watch the Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet. Since then, the Royal Oak has become the leading model of the world famous firm in Le Brassus and helped the stainless steel wristwatch attain respectability among watch lovers around the world .

The Audemars Piguet story begins in 1875 when twenty three year old watchmaker Jules Audemars and future partner Edward cartier yellow diamond copy ring August Piguet, just twenty one years of age, met in the Vallee de Joux. Both had learned the watchmaker's trade after finishing public school in their hometown of Le Brassus by training at the bench and returned to the Vallee de Joux to find jobs in the local watchmaking industry. Jules Audemars was soon producing raw components for watch movements, while Edward August Piguet sought employment as a "repasseur" (a master watchmaker who performs the final regulation on a watch). Shortly after their meeting in 1875, the two talented watchmakers decided to join forces and founded the firm that would someday come to be known as Audemars, Piguet et Cie.

Almost from the beginning, Audemars was in charge of production and the technical side, while his cartier juste un clou ring yellow replica partner Piguet focused on sales. Their partnership was not an immediate cartier diamond wedding copy rings success, however. In fact, the Audemars Piguet trademark was not even registered until 1882 and the firm's "official founding" did not take place until 1889. Already, however, Audemars Piguet et Cie had become the third largest employer for watch manufacturing in the Canton of Vaud. More importantly perhaps, both men had deliberately shifted their focus towards the production of high quality, complex, ultra precise watches .

Shortly after the official founding in 1889, a branch office was built in Geneva and the partners decided to produce all of their components and assemble the finished watches in house. This allowed the firm to maintain strict quality control over their products and as a result, only products of the highest quality left the workshop. In short order, the greatest, most renowned retail jewelers were ordering watches from Le Brassus. Today, one can find many Audemars Piguet pocket watches identifiable as an Audemars Piguet only by their serial number, the result of prestigious jewelers, such as Gubelin and Tiffany Co., wanting only their own name engraved on the movement and case, and not that of Audemars Piguet.

It is interesting to note that between 1894 and 1899, a mere 1,208 watches were produced. Among these were some of the most sophisticated timepieces ever made, including the legendary "Grande Complication" series, which is still being produced today. Aside from normal time indication, a Grande Complication timepiece offers minute repetition, perpetual calendar, and chronograph.

At around this same time, the retail operations in Geneva and London were transformed into full service branches where watches were not only serviced but also assembled. By 1914, Audemars Piguet launched a project to develop a watch so complicated that it would take six years of continuous production before the watch could be delivered to the importers Guignard Golay Fake cartier ring in London.

The watch in question was a pocket watch with two dials and a one minute tourbillon mechanism. As well as a tourbillon, this double dial Lepine, gold watch included a minute repeater, a chronograph with 60 minute and 12 hour counters, perpetual calendar with displays which "jump" at midnight, display of the leap year cycle, the "age" and phases of the moon, and power reserve display. The second face showed an additional 24 hours based on the sidereal hour, moving a pair of independent hands. A special system connected to this gear train makes it possible to see the changes in the London sky at any time of the day or night, through an oval shaped opening in the rear dial. The sky is represented by 315 stars engraved on a plate of gold, enameled in blue. The stars, with their respective names, are all clearly visible .

Unfortunately , it was the last triumph for the founding partners. Audemars died in 1918. The following year, so did Edward Piguet.

After the founders' death, Audemars Piguet continued to prosper, establishing several technical milestones with the creation of the world's smallest minute repeater watch, having a diameter of just 15.8 millimeters; the debut of a Hunter Model (hinged lid pocket watch) with a jumping second hand, also featuring a barometer, quarter repeater, independent second hand, the date and day of the week; and in 1925, another first: the world's thinnest pocket watch measuring just 1.32 millimeters. The year 1928 also saw the development of the world's first skeletonized pocketwatch.

Needless to say , then as now, Audemars Piguet was considered one of the finest watch manufacturers in the world. Business boomed, as did the world economy. Customers of Audemars Piguet included such prestigious jewelers as Gubelin, Tiffany Co., Cartier and Bulgari. Unfortunately, the company's success ground to a shocking halt in 1929 when only 737 watches were sold. By contrast, nearly 2,000 watches had been sold in 1920. With the stock market crash in 1929 and the subsequent Depression, there were suddenly very few customers for expensive watches. Like other Swiss watch companies, Audemars Piguet was forced to layoff most of its workforce, until hitting rock bottom in 1932, when just two watches were produced.

Despite the hard times, the company bounced back following World War II, thanks to the success of its chronographs and ultra thin (the famous nine ligne calibre 2003) dress watches.

The 1950's and 1960's saw a major rebound in the firm's sales. In 1967, in cooperation with Jaeger LeCoultre, a new record for the thinnest (2.45 mm) automatic movement, with a centrally placed rotor of 21 carat gold, was established. Just three years later, in 1970, the watchmakers of Audemars Piguet premiered the world's thinnest movement (3.05 mm) to include date display and a central rotor made of gold. The year 1972, of course, marked the debut of what has become the signature model for Audemars Piguet, the "Royal Oak " .

Designed by the legendary watchmaker Gerald Genta, its octagonal shape, steel edges and the use of prominent hexagonal screws as a design feature strike a perfect balance between power and elegance. Worthy of its name, the Royal Oak has since become a legend. Its octagonal design, originally produced only in high grade steel, took the breath away even of many professionals. However, when the Royal Oak was unveiled at the 1972 European watchmaking fair in Basel with a price tag of just 3,300 SFr. unheard of for a watch bearing the Audemars Piguet name its success was beyond even its creators' expectations !

In 1993, the company museum, housed in the original workshop of Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet, was established. This museum, a tribute to the company's visionary founders, allows watch enthusiasts to discover Audemars Piguet technology "from A to Z." Its exhibits retrace the key stages in the company's history, and show many of the creations that made Audemars Piguet famous, including the Grande Complication. As well as its unique collection of antique watches, and in particular of watch complications, this very unusual museum enables visitors to see the intricacy and precision required in horology, by observing two master watchmakers at work in the modern Audemars Piguet atelier which is a permanent feature of the museum.

That same year , a new model in the Royal Oak collection premiered: the Royal Oak Offshore, which is water resistant to a depth of 10 atmospheres. The Offshore model offers following functions: chronograph to 1/5 second, tachymeter, 30 minute counter, 12 hour counter, date display, seconds display, automatic movement with central rotor in 21 carat gold .

Three years later, in 1996, a wristwatch version of the famous "Grand Complication" premiered at Basel. More than 600 components are contained in an integrated movement that does not exceed 8.5 mm in height. It is a technical marvel that marries old fashioned craftsmanship with cutting edge technology, such as computer aided design (CAD). It was also in 1996 that Audemars Piguet embarked on a new era, becoming one of the first major watch companies to represent itself on the Internet with its official Website .

Today, Audemars Piguet remains one of the most prestigious watchmakers in the world yet despite the company's enormous success (AP even owns 40% of Jaeger LeCoultre), every watch is still made by hand the old fashioned way one at a time. Today, along with Patek Philippe (PP) and Vacheron Constantin (VC), AP is considered to be one of the "big three" as one of the finest watches in the world .

In any event, if you are contemplating the purchase of a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Replica watch , you've made an excellent choice. It's a highly prestigious and respected brand with a long and wonderful history, as well as a proven track record.
