Van Hauer (Viehman) Margaret A. Viehman Van Hauer, age 83, of Golden Valley, went to our Lord Feb. 28, 2004 at St. Therese Nursing Home. Born Aug. 14, 1921 in Syracuse, NY to parents, Ernest Anna St. Pierre. She graduated from Bishop McDonnell HS and Magna Cum Laude in 1942, from St. Joseph's College for Women, New York, NY on a full scholarship. Margaret met her first husband, Ed Viehman during WW II at a canteen in New York City. They married in 1944 and had 6 children. She shared in his career at WCCO Radio/TV, GOP politics and the Jostens hermes classic belt replica Ring Co. until his death in 1961. Marge organized the first Jr. Catholic Daughters of America Chapter in Owatonna. She became a memorable teacher of grades 4 at Pope Pius X in Rochester, St. Mary's in Owatonna and St. Margaret Mary in Golden Valley. She was a wonderful, wife and mother and a part of a dynamic duo that kept the family together.
