Collins takes control of Western Power
Western Power's new chief began work at the embattled West Australian utility amid criticism of his four month appointment,replica mother of pearl clover bracelet.

But Mr Collins has denied he would be acting only as a caretaker.
"It's about steering the ship and working with them to make sure that over the next four months we have power and the community knows what's happening," Mr Collins told ABC radio.
He was unclear about what would occur after his four month contact.
"There is a reform agenda running . and the board and the government are working on that process," he said.

"My term is for four months and I will keep the focus on that task that I've been given. The long term issues, and where to from there, is really a matter for the board and the government."
