Woman wanted for theft, credit card fraudThe NOPD has identified 37 year old Danette Colbert as the person wanted in connection with a theft and access device fraud. Nov. 4, a 35 year old man was walking on Bourbon Street when Colbert approached and invited him to hang out with her, police said. He agreed and they went to his hotel room in the 600 block of St. Charles Avenue.

The victim went to sleep and upon waking up discovered Colbert was gone, along with his Rolex watch valued at $4,000, his credit cards and $100 in cash.

Police said they later learned that Colbert had fraudulently used the victim's credit cards about 20 times at businesses in the 4600 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Colbert for theft of $4,100, possession of stolen property and access device fraud in the amount of $3,584.

Colbert also is wanted for intimidating, impeding or injuring witnesses.

Housekeeper booked in Kenner jewelry theftA housekeeper was arrested in Kenner on Wednesday for allegedly stealing more than $25,000 worth of jewelry from her 71 year old employer, according to Sgt. Brian McGregor,fake van cleef and arpels necklace, of the Kenner Police Department.

McGregor said the woman, Nixirela Rodriguez, 37, who cleans many houses in the area, is alleged to have swiped the key to the victim's home safe.
