"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Potential patients come to our Lenexa office to receive aesthetic treatments. They want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin what advice he would give to patients with unrealistic expectations regarding aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin told us that he is an M.D. and not a magician. I get that people want to look their very best. Everyone wants to feel great. BOTOX, an aesthetic treatment that temporarily reduces wrinkles and lines can be used but it can't make someone look like they did in college.

What are the Aesthetic Injectables Treatments?

Dr. Margolin compares the process of aging skin to folding a piece paper. Permanent creases can be created by folding a piece a paper repeatedly over many decades. This is what happens with our skin. BOTOX and JUVEDERM injectables can temporarily reduce signs of aging by relaxing facial muscles or filling in specific areas.

What is BOTOX, and how can it help you?

Although this treatment can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, it is not as dramatic than plastic surgery. BOTOX can be helpful for patients who have forehead or eyebrow lines. BOTOX reduces the appearance and texture of lines, as well as preventing them from creasing your skin. BOTOX is not able to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines due to facial fullness. JUVEDERM is a dermal filler that can address those problems.

What is JUVEDERM, exactly?

Although it might seem contrary, the skin loses fat, especially in the cheek area. Our faces lose weight, our skin sags and we develop wrinkles called laugh lines.

Injectable fillers (also known as dermal fillers) can restore facial volume. JUVEDERM, which is made from a form of hyaluronic, adds volume and youthfulness to the cheeks. JUVEDERM fillers can also be used to plump lips that lose their fullness with age. JUVEDERM dermalfiller is also used for dark circles below the eyes. For some patients, it can have a dramatic impact on their overall appearance.

Difference between JUVEDERM AND BOTOX

What is the difference of Juvederm/BOTOX? Both treatments have similar outcomes but the active components differ. These injections are administered by a doctor to the patient. or by a qualified medical aesthetician. To make the best decision, you need to be aware of all these differences

BOTOX

BOTOX is an alternative to invasive forms of wrinkle treatment. However, it contains very different ingredients. BOTOX injections, a neurotoxin, relaxes and softens the appearance of wrinkles and lines. BOTOX treatments smoothen lines and soften wrinkles in the following ways

Vertical lines drawn between the eyebrows (also known as "glabellarlines")

Eye wrinkles (crow's feet).

Juvederm

Juvederm, a non-invasive procedure that doesn't require surgery, is a treatment that is not invasive. Each solution contains a gel made of hyaluronic acids to fill in the wrinkles below the skin. There are many types of volumizing products available for adults, and they come in different formulations to address various kinds of wrinkles.

What You Can Expect from BOTOX & Juvederm Treatments

It takes only a few moments to complete Juvederm and Botox procedures. They are also very efficient. You may need to treat larger areas of skin with more injections due to the complexity of the procedure.

How long each treatment will last

While both treatments are effective, Juvederm is faster and lasts for longer. BOTOX can be used for just a few days. The effects will fade in a few months. Additional treatments are necessary to maintain your results. Juvederm Filler Injections can be seen as soon as possible, according to the manufacturer.

BOTOX injections such as Juvederm take just a few minutes and are very painless. The larger the area to be treated, the more you will need. Multiple injections may take slightly longer to complete. The results of BOTOX treatments can take up to 24 hours to see.

Treatments Show Results
