"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Potential patients come to our Lenexa office to receive aesthetic treatments. They want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin for his advice to patients who may have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatment. Dr. Margolin told us that he is an M.D. and not a magician. I get that people want to look their very best. Everybody wants to feel and look their best. BOTOX is a temporary treatment for wrinkles and lines. However, these treatments won't give them the look they had in college or their favorite supermodel.

What Can Aesthetic Ir injectable Treatments Do?

Dr. Margolin describes aging skin as a piece of paper. The paper will have permanent wrinkles if it is folded in different ways over decades. This is what happens in our skin. BOTOX, JUVEDERM, and other injectable treatments can temporarily reduce the signs and symptoms of aging. They relax facial muscles and fill in certain areas.

What is BOTOX?

Although it reduces wrinkle appearance by relaxing facial muscles this treatment is not as dramatic as plastic surgery. BOTOX may be able to help patients with forehead lines and eyebrow creases. This treatment reduces the appearance of lines and helps prevent them from creasing. BOTOX is not able to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines due to facial fullness. We use JUVEDERM dermal fillers to address these issues.

What is JUVEDERM exactly?

Although it might seem contrary, the skin loses fat, especially in the cheek area. Our faces lose fat and our skin sags. The loss of facial volume can also cause laugh lines and other wrinkles.

The injectable fillers also known as dermal fillers can be used to increase facial volume. JUVEDERM is a type of filler made from a hyaluronic. It adds volume to the cheeks and restores a youthful look. JUVEDERM fillers can also be used to plump lips that lose their fullness with age. Difference between JUVEDERM AND BOTOX

What is the difference between Juvederm or BOTOX? Both therapies have the same goals, but they have different active components. These non-invasive injections will be administered by a qualified medical doctor. or an experienced medical esthetician. To make the best decision, you need to be aware of all these differences

BOTOX

BOTOX can also be used as a non-invasive treatment for wrinkles. However, it's made of very different ingredients. BOTOX injections are a type of neurotoxin that relaxes and softens wrinkles and facial lines. BOTOX injections are used to smoothen lines and soften the wrinkles.

Juvederm

Juvederm is an non-invasive treatment and does not require surgery. Each solution contains a gel made of hyaluronic acids to fill in the wrinkles below the skin. The following are some options for volumizing solutions that adults may find beneficial.

What to Expect From BOTOX and Juvederm Treatments

The BOTOX and Juvederm procedures are quick and easy to perform. Due to the amount of treatments required, larger areas may need more.

How long each treatment can last

Both treatments are effective but Juvederm is more effective and lasts longer. BOTOX works in a few days, but the effects fade after a few months. You can maintain your results by receiving additional treatments. Juvederm filler shots can sometimes be seen right away, depending on the manufacturer.

BOTOX injections, such as Juvederm®, are painless and only take a few moments to complete. The greater the area of skin that needs to be treated, you'll need more injections. It may take longer to complete multiple injections. To see results from BOTOX treatments, it can take up 24 to 48 hour.

Treatments Show Results
