"Can BOTOX Make Me Look Younger?"

Patients come to our Lenexa practice to get aesthetic treatments. We asked Dr. Margolin for his advice to patients who may have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatment. What can Aesthetic Injectable Treatments do?

Dr. Margolin describes how skin ages like a piece or paper. The paper will have permanent wrinkles if it is folded in different ways over decades. The same thing happens to our skin! What is BOTOX and How Does It Work?

This treatment reduces wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles. However, it's not as dramatic or as drastic as plastic surgeons. BOTOX can correct forehead lines and eyebrow wrinkles. This treatment smoothens wrinkles and prevents them forming. BOTOX won't correct wrinkles or lines that result from facial loss. JUVEDERM and dermal fillers are used to remedy these problems.

What is JUVEDERM and how can it help you?

Difference between JUVEDERM AND BOTOX

What to Expect From BOTOX and Juvederm Treatments

It takes only a few moments to complete Juvederm and Botox procedures. They are also very efficient. Due to the amount of treatments required, larger areas may need more.

How long each treatment can last

While both treatments are effective, Juvederm is faster and lasts for longer. BOTOX works in a few days, but the effects fade after a few months. To maintain your results, you will need to get additional treatments. According to the manufacturer, Juvederm filler injections can be seen immediately.

BOTOX injections, such as Juvederm®, are painless and only take a few moments to complete. The larger the area to be treated, the more you will need. Multiple injections may take slightly longer to complete. Results from BOTOX treatments for wrinkles can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours.
