As February winds down, NBA 2K22 is getting closer to the end of season four and its MyTeam mode NBA MT Coins. The game is scheduled to start February 25. And with it is the announcement of major items that will be revealed in season five. The producer Jonathan Smith joined Constant Walker on the official NBA2K Twitch channel during their Logo Show broadcast, teasing two topics that could be in the future and has the basketball community buzzing.

While there was nothing specific to announce in the broadcast however, what viewers got is enough to prompt discussion on the internet about the content of the fifth season of NBA 2K22 will include. Smith rejected any attempts to get additional information, however, he exclaimed on Wednesday that the Courtside Report is coming shortly and that more details will come within a couple of days.

At 13 minutes, Smith started streaming, and was asked an interview about the upcoming season of MyTeam which is a game where players can purchase and accumulate packs of cards to build their teams, and play around the world in tournaments. One of the biggest announcements to come out is the announcement of a Dark Matter card being the reward for achieving level 40. This marks the first time a card of this rarity can be obtained for no cost.

Smith didn't mention any names, but he did mention that two new players are making debuts on MyTeam and one of them is available at the level 1 of MyTeam while the second one will be a component in The Unlimited series Cheap NBA 2K22 MT. A fascinating aspect is that the news of their introductions being completely unique, which is which producers haven't capable of achieving during this show.
